What do you think Sun is going to do when he returns to in Vol 10, other than congratulating Blake and Yang? (I wouldn't say no to him getting a worthy love interest personally, someone other than his clearly just a friend school partner)

Great question! In my head, it'd make sense to have Sun play "tour guide" at the start of the season as an introduction to Vacuo. This is his turf, after all: He's perfect for explaining this new, foreign culture and its customs in an informative yet entertaining way.

After that, there's one particular scene I hope to see: Sun having a sincere moment with Blake alone. It doesn't have to be a big talk, maybe just him going "Hey, by the way – I'm really happy for you." At his core, Sun is a loyal and understanding friend and I feel like he would genuinely appreciate how far Blake has come and that she's finally allowing herself to enjoy nice things in life.

In general, I expect him to remain a supporting character – comic relief, corny Bumbleby enthusiast, battle back-up – just popping up when and where he's needed. In my eyes, his character allows for that and it has worked well in earlier seasons, too. I can't come up with a "proper" arc for him that wouldn't feel absolutely misplaced or take away from the other 2,000 more dire matters at hand.

Which ties into giving Sun a love interest: In general I'd love that for him, but compared to what else is currently going on, it's too trivial. Also, we just got Bumbleby, Renora is still pending, and Weiss is thirsting over DILF-Jaune all of a sudden (still not over the emotional whiplash from that scene). That's enough. We gotta focus on the actual story at some point.

(Alternatively, Sun showing up with a partner out of nowhere along with a 15-second exposition as to what/how it happened to save time... would be even worse.)

Yeah the audience fell for the male villain’s victim act that was supposed to raise red flags as we watch the female protagonist struggle with her own morality. Yeah sorry there was nothing we could do. Yeah we tried explaining he was manipulating the main character but all the audience saw was a hot guy so the internet’s going to be unbearable for those of us with media literacy for the next three to six months. Sorry.
