Rewatched Holy Musical B@man! In the background while I was playing Arkham City and why am I always surprised how impossibly camp it is every five minutes?

It's like

The Dynamic Duet: Bruce and Dick basically love at first sight each other and declare each other life partners and become inseparable - everything about Nick Lang and the voice he gave Dick. They call each other 'my bright knight' and 'my morning bird'.

Me: Wow this is somehow gayer than I remembered

Superman relentlessly pursuing Batman after one bad interaction and constantly trying to impress him

Me: wow he's down bad

To Be A Man: Superman and Batman fight/sing/dance over who is more manly - this involves ripping each other pants off and spanking. Brian delivers all Superman's lines smoldering and like he wants to eat Batman, who is way too pleased with himself the whole time.

They stop halfway through to share a cigarette.

Me: wh.. wait. what was the cigarette in aid of???? I didn't remember that

#I feel like HMB gets overshadowed by Starkid's other stuff but literally Lego Batman might actually have ripped off the plot #if HMB wasn't super close to copyright infringement they couldve sued #if it had been official DC they would have had a BatCat scene definitely #or more with Rachel Dawes or Vicki Vale idk #but Starkid don't even try they dgaf they were like make it gayer #wym batman is very gay already #GAYER #the only stuff which doesnt hold up is the Alfred stuff and we all know why #like that was kind of bad at the time #the Lang's needed someone in the room to say 'hey the whole cast is white #they also had that stuff with Cho Chang in AVPM which gets cut in most reunion concerts now #also i wonder how it is to watch HMB when TDK isn't the biggest Batman property you know bc that was important context for it imo #the american way holds up as a song #and oh my god i forgot how funny two-face is in this thing #and Jaime Lynn playing both Ivy and not!Harley she's so stinkin pretty #batman #holy musical b@man #starkid
