Rewatching Series 3 (mostly because my brain constantly fixates on all of Donna and barely anything else, whoops) and it's a good thing too because OH MY GOD HUMAN NATURE/FAMILY OF BLOOD IS STILL SO GOOD AND I ALMOST COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT IT?????

The whole thing with John and Joan was such a tragedy and it hurts all over again. Gosh... It was necessary and the correct choice in the end, but omfg I'm not okay. neither are the doctor or joan whoops Tennant is such a good actor, holy shit. Fucking ow.

But aside from all the pain and amazing yet terrifying finale, one thing that helps ease it all a little is the classic BINGLE BONGLE DINGLE DANGLE, YIKKIDY DOO YIKKIDY DA, PING PONG, LIPPY TAPPY TOO TAH.

I love Donna and I absolutely understand why I'm fixated on her/Series 4 but that does Martha such a disservice!! She is amazing and going through all these episodes is such a great reminder. When she casually counted every bone in a hand after having to handwave all of the [gestures vaguely at 1913] to show she's speaking the truth. Also the "God, you're rubbish as a human!" comment. Martha's great.
