Keep Your Head In The Game
Yandere! Victoria Neuman x reader
(Warnings: threats of murder, non con touching/kissing, implied captivity)
Working at the Bureau had been your dream job.
Vought had ruined so many people’s lives. It felt good to be part of something that stood against that company for those who couldn't. Despite not having powers, even you could be a hero. You'd worked under Victoria Neuman for years. You knew everything about her.
And then Hughie Campbell ruined everything.
You’d like to think of him as a friend. You and him had lunch together sometimes. You’d sit and smile as he went on and on about his girlfriend. He was a nice guy. You’d like to think that he and you were close.
But Hughie broke you.
Evidence. He’d shown you evidence of what she’d done. So much blood. So much gore. The orphanage, the files.
“She’s one of them,” he’d whispered right before he fled into the night, “stay away from her. Quit. Please, for your sake, don’t go back to that fucking snake den.”
And then he was gone. Just like that.
Work in the Bureau continued as normal. Safe for the rumors of Soldier boy sightings, everything was so…fine, even without him.
Even Neuman was unphased.
She still smiled and laughed and told jokes as she surrounded herself with regular humans. She curled her lip when Supes were discussed. You used to love it when she brought Zoe around, but even her daughter you couldn’t even trust to be real.
Victoria didn’t act like a Supe.
But Hughie wasn't lying.
Friday night. The bureau had a party going on tonight. Another Supe had been successfully put away. Those were always a sight, especially considering Gina would get shitfaced. You couldn’t go, feigning illness before you slipped out the night. You couldn’t enjoy yourself, not when you had so much to think about.
Instead of enjoying the night with coworkers, you found comfort in the hardest liquor in your cabinet. Your one true friend.
Not Hughie. Not anymore. Hughie left. Or maybe he was killed. Who knows. Who fucking cares.
There’s a knock on your door. When you ignore it, it comes again louder. You groan, but you pull yourself off the couch eventually. Your neighbor again. You need to have a talk with her about disturbing you at odd hours of the night.
“You look like you’ve seen better days.”
You can only stare. Victoria tilts her head.
“Gonna let me in or will I have to stand out here?”
Against your judgment, the instinct of always listening to your boss kicking in, you open the door. She elegantly steps in, surveying your home.
She’s wearing that blue suit you’ve always complimented her on. Earlier, you would have admired her professional elegance. Now, it makes her look more inhuman. She looks even more out of place in your shabby apartment, studying your upkeep.
“Sorry,” you say when you stop gawking, “I…I hadn’t had time to clean up.”
“Don’t worry about it.” Victoria waves you off. “Just checking in on my favorite employee. How’re you feeling, by the way.”
“Good.” You quickly reply. “I was just feeling a little under the weather earlier. I hope I didn't worry you."
"Why wouldn't I be worried?" She tilts her head, grinning with straight white teeth that get increasingly eerie the longer you stare. "We're friends, aren't we?"
Before, you wouldn't have blinked twice at her words and tone. You would have mindlessly agreed, smiled even. But things were different now. You were playing pretend with a known murderer.
If you close your eyes, you can still remember the faces in that court before their heads exploded. You'd been behind a screen, watching it all in horror and you remembered closing your eyes and begging for Victoria to be alright, praying that it would be okay if everyone died but her.
And now to realize she caused all that?
"Maybe you have a fever. You're shaking."
You were. You clasp your trembling hands together, trying to ease your nerves.
"Yeah." Even your voice was wavering. Calm down. Calm down. "I still might not be over...whatever I came down with."
The predator clicks her tongue in sympathy, cooing as she nears her prey. You force yourself not to stiffen when she wraps a sturdy hand around your shoulders, leading you over to the couch. You sit next to her with your thigh pressed up against hers. You feel like you're about to vomit.
"You should rest," Victoria says, "take a few days off work. I'll let everyone know."
"Yeah," you say because this is good, it'll help you focus on what you need to do next, "definitely, thank you."
"Oh, please, don't thank me." She laughs. "I'm glad you're not in the office because you're sick. For some reason, I thought you were avoiding me. Y'know, 'cause you were scared, I would pop your head."
One second. Two seconds. And then you're up, scrambling off the sofa. It's instinct to run from monsters, no matter if they would take your head off your shoulders on a whim, whenever they want. It's instinct to be stupid and careless and run.
If anything, you should be grateful this monster is her.
She's strong, like all Supes are. Even though you know what she is, it takes you a moment to realize it's Victoria who had pinned you against the couch, keeping you underneath her. You used to win arm-wrestling competitions against her. The pressure caused your lungs to tighten, making it hard to breathe. Even has you struggled, tried to claw at her hands, tug on her pristine clothes, she didn't budge. You think the worst thing about all of this was that it didn't even look like it took much effort to keep you down. Like she was wrestling a kitten.
"Easy, easy." She hushes, tone soft and condescending. "C'mon, we're both adults, aren't we? Let's be civil here."
Civil. Like she had any right to use that word after what she's done for months, perhaps all her life. Your heart is a hummingbird frazzled with fear, but you can feel that twinge of anger and resentment even then. Something else too: betrayal.
"Why?" You asked, your voice failing. "Why, Vicky?"
For the first time tonight, her mask cracks. Her eyes flicker, looking at your defeated body before coming back up to your face. She looks remorseful, but not guilty.
"I didn't....I didn't want you to find out this way." She admits, slightly easing off you, enough to ease the force in your lungs. "Or maybe ever, actually. Fucking Cambell, leaving a mess, and then running off. What else can you expect from that guy, right?"
You just stare. Victoria sighs.
“Of all people, I thought you would understand.” Her voice wavers. “I thought you’d get it, somehow.”
You look at her, and you feel like you’re staring at that girl from Red River. Scared and Trembling Nadia, who just wanted love, someone to lean on. Someone who wasn't scared of her.
Then it flickers, and then Victoria's back.
"You murdered a whole room." You finally say. "How could you possibly ask me to understand that?"
She glowers, her frown deepens, and then she's sitting up, getting off you. You learn your lesson from last time, but you still huddle in the corner of the sofa, watching her.
"Right, because I'm supposed to believe you feel bad for them." Victoria rolls her eyes. "Half of those guys vacationed on Epstein's island before the brand change, and you were there when those deep fakes came out. Remember Congressmen Davis? He kept staring at your ass on the House Floor, so I'm not sure why you're acting like they're suddenly men of valor."
"Yes, yes, yes, they were terrible people." You press your hand to your forehead. "But you-we-we can't kill people. We-we're supposed to do things the right way and I just-" You choke on your words.
"Hughie got to you," she notes, "I knew I shouldn't have paired you up with each other."
"You lied to me." You murmur. There's no anger anymore, just heartbreak. "You lied to everyone. I thought we were fighting against Vought, but we've been in their pocket this whole time."
"We're still fighting-"
"You're Stan Edgar's daughter. We're in their pocket."
You press your hands to your face, squeezing. All the while you can feel Victoria watching. You ignore her. There's no point in talking to her, not anymore. You might not have known Victoria, but you know the Supe that committed a massacre. Her cover was blown. You were a leaking faucet she needed to turn off.
"What now?" You ask, drawing up to look at her. "Are you going to kill me?"
Her mouth twitches. Her eyes flicker with realization. A soft coo comes from her lips, utterly condescending. Suddenly, her posture changes: less intimidating, more welcoming.
"Oh, sweetie, is that why you're so upset?" She shifts until you're trapped in her arms. You don't bother fighting. Your bravery has run out. Tears are already dripping down your cheeks. "You thought I was gonna...." There's a laugh spilling off her lips. You squeeze your eyes shut when she hugs you tighter.
"I'm not gonna hurt you," Victoria says, a smile in her voice. "Not to you. Never to you."
Her hands are so warm as she cradles your face, forcing you to look at her. It's a gentle type of cruelty, forcing you to face your fears while the monster gives you a beautiful smile.
"I cherish you too much to do that."
You must look so lost. She laughs even more at that.
"Seriously? It wasn't obvious? C'mon, Zoe is crazy about you, she never shuts up. And I...I think it's better if I just..."
Her lips are soft. Gentle. You don't kiss back. You can't. You're frozen in ice.
"I won't hurt you." Then, her tone tightens just the tiniest bit. "You're friends and family, on the other hand..."
When she pulls away, she's the most relaxed you've ever seen her. You wish you could say the same. While her smile grows larger, so does the gaping hole in your stomach.
You close your eyes, slumping in defeat.
"What do you want?" You plead.
You can feel her lips press on your cheek. Victory.
When you walk through the door, Zoe looks elated.
She calls your name with a delighted giggle, reaching out to hug you. You wish you could return her enthusiasm, but you can barely pat her head.
"What're you doing here?" She asks when she's done hugging you, looking up at you with pretty eyes. Her eyes are much like her mother's; they just haven't lost their innocence yet.
Neuman steps in, a strong hand on your shoulder. That same gentle smile that holds the comfort a mother has for her daughter.
"Gas leak, right?" She turns to look at you. "Real nasty. So, I offered our home for a little while."
Zoe nods. She's the only thing so far that's remained stagnant. Maybe that's why you're more than eager to listen to what she did at school that day. She rambles on and on, and there's nothing left to say anymore. Until Victoria sends her daughter to bed.
"It's probably best to keep the real reason hush-hush," she tells you later, shutting the master bedroom.
You're seated pliantly on the bed, watching her shrug off her cardigan. The mattress sinks underneath your weight. Silk covers. It's too big for just one person.
You're not a captive, she explained in the back of her fancy black car. You could roam around, meet up with friends, call people, do whatever your heart desired. It would just be under her eyes from now on.
"A safeguard." She charitably explained, perfectly manicured fingernails drumming on her thigh. "Just so you don't do something we both might regret."
You don't know if she'd been telling the truth when she insisted your head was off-limits, but you knew she had your family's names and addresses. So you sat pliantly in that car, pliantly listened to Zoe, and pliantly followed Victoria into her bedroom.
On paper, you weren't a captive. But you and Victoria both knew better.
"Is Zoe also...?" You trail off, averting your eyes when she unbuttons her blouse. You can hear her clothes drop to the floor as she unabashedly rifles through her drawer.
"No," Victoria answers. And then your heart drops when she adds. "Not yet."
You shudder, but she's already sitting next to you. She coaxes you to look at her with a hand on your cheek. Even dressed down, she's gorgeous. Unblemished skin was barely covered by a silk gown.
You think she looks just as upset as you. Maybe even more. She pets your cheek thoughtlessly.
"When I brought you to my bed for the first time, I thought things would be different, somehow." She laughs. It sounds bitter.
"I never wanted this. Not for us," Victoria says, "but-but there's nothing else I can do. It...."
A tear drips down your face. She's pushing it away.
'You'll be okay." A kiss to your temple. "I know you will." Lips at your cheek.
When she finally gives into her inhibitions and kisses you, you know she was lying about it all.

Joost. Joost fucking Klein. That man was always very charming and he didn't even have to try. He was always the center of attention whereas you were just somewhere back, trying to fit in. Looking for your kind of people that lay back just like you. And if a year back someone would have said to you, that you're going to be in love with this man, you wouldn't believe them. Probably laugh in their face. You and Joost? Ha, you could never... could you?
He was the god of the party. Whenever he walked into a room, it was like the atmosphere shifted. People gravitated towards him, drawn by his effortless charm and infectious energy. He had this way of making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world, even if just for a moment. Yeah, you know, Joost.
You and him met pretty easily, not in some grand, starstruck way, but through friends. It was at one of those low-key gatherings that start with a few people and end up with the entire social circle crammed into a living room. Joost was in his element, entertaining the crowd with stories and jokes. You watched him, intrigued by how natural it all seemed to him.
As the night went on, you and him somehow ended up in the same conversation circle. It wasn't long before you were chatting like old friends that have always known each other. He asked about your interests, your thoughts on music, movies, and life in general that night. And you found yourself opening up more than you usually did, his genuine interest made it easy.
Then, you started seeing each other more frequently. Your encounters were never planned, but always felt serendipitous. You ran into each other at the shop center, at friends' houses, and even at the grocery store. Each meeting felt natural, unforced, but then it wasn't just for talking and sharing stories. Now, you and Joost were friends, but with benefits. Of course you didn't mind at all at first. But after some time you wasn't so sure anymore. At first it was just because of some release. But after some time, you started to feel some...things.
Then came the night of this unforgettable party. You didn't want to come here at all, but your friend, f/n, she promised it's going to be just for a few hours and that Joost is going to be here as well. Maybe, that's why you actually agreed to go here. She knew about you and Joost, and how you actually felt about him. But she promise to not say anything.
Joost was, as usual, the center of attention. But this time, at this party, it felt different. Every time your eyes met across the room, there was a spark, a silent understanding that something was shifting between you and him. You watched him laugh, dance, and engage with everyone, yet somehow, it felt like he was always aware of where you were and what you were doing, of who you were speaking with and when you looked at him.
It was like sixth sense.
It started to get hot here, or maybe it was just the alcohol that flowed through your blood. Either way, you needed some fresh air, so you excused yourself from your friend that was just as tipsy as you and you made your way out by the back door that went to the garden. There wasn't anyone, but it wasn't so surprising. Whole party was thrown inside because of the cooler weather.
Enjoying the muffled sounds of a party in the house behind you, you were startled when you felt someone's hand on your hip.
"Hey, hey, easy here. It's just me."
Joost.
"You scared me for life." Turning your head to look at him, you notice how his pupils were big.
"I'm sorry princess, I will try not to scare you away from me." You laughed it off. He was definitely a teaser. It was in his nature, to make people laugh, to forget everything, to enjoy their time with him.
"What are you doing here so alone, hm?" He whispered in the cold night and ran his hand that he had on your hip up and down. To warm you a bit. "It's cold out here."
"I know, but I needed some fresh air. I couldn't breathe in there." You said and pointed back at the house. Leaning your head on his shoulder you closed your eyes, but the drinks that your friend made you drink with her were a little bit stronger for your liking, so whenever you closed your eyes you felt the whole world spin, just like right now.
"Yeah, you're right." Joost put his chin on the top of your head after he kissed it, just as you relaxed in his hold. You always enjoyed his presence, but it wasn't just because of his personality, it was because he made you feel things that you believed that were never there. He was different, he made you feel different. Like no-one else before had. He lifted his hand from your hip and placed it on your arm, "You're cold." he said and raised his head for yours.
"It's nothing." You chuckled, "I will manage." you tried to assure him, but your skin was really ice cold.
"Yeah, in bed with a fever tomorrow morning. Come on, let's get inside." He took your hand in his and together you made your way to the house. He let you go in first, holding the door open for you like a true gentleman he is with a smile on his face. "Lady's first."
You returned his smile, never letting go of his hand. It wasn't strange for you to hold his hand and kiss here and there, but you weren't together, it made some people questioned your real relationship. But what they didn't know was that you and Joost have been sleeping with each other from time to time. And you had to admit, you were totally scared of your future with him.
He doesn't feel love. He never felt that way. You knew it because before you and him started to sleep together, you and him made a promise to not catch feelings, it's just gonna be about a sex. Nothing more, nothing less. And you knew you had crossed that line, but you couldn't tell him anything. That would ruin everything, it would have ruined you. So you swallowed your feelings and told yourself to not, ever, let or somehow show your feelings for him. Even though it hurts you.
"I need to find f/n. She's somewhere here and I need to stop her from doing something stupid." You told Joost and he actually laughed at that because he knew her and what she was capable of.
"That sounds like a good idea. I will be in the living room if you want to look for me after you find her." Joost winked at you with smug on his pretty face and left you here standing with red cheeks. No matter how many times he had flirted with you, you always gave in and let his charm affect you.
---
It took you some time to find f/n, but you also have found some other friends that were looking after her as well. They were leaving and told you they are taking f/n home too.
"Noo, Y/n I don't wanna go home." f/n pouted and hugged you before others basically dragged her off of you.
"You have to. I will text you in the morning, okay?"
She protested, but eventually gave in. Leaving the party and looking forward to your text when you will be leaving.
You went to the kitchen and poured yourself a drink, not so strong this time and then you started looking for another person, Joost. But he already told you where he's going to be. Making your way through bodies to the living room, you greeted some faces you recognised. Sending friendly smiles and little waves. But just as you stepped to the living room, you couldn't help the shock that went thru you.
He was sitting here with some girl. No, the girl was sitting on his lap and what was even worse, they were making out. How his left hand was running through her hair and how his other hand was on her waist, keeping her closer, just like he did before with you. All you could do was watch the scene before you.
"Y/n?" Joost's voice was barely making any sense, but he knew that was you who he was kissing right now. He was so sure of it.
"Actually I'm Mila."
"You're not Y/n? My Y/n?"
"I can be her, if that's what you want."
"You're not her?" Joost asked the girl that he assumed was you, but she pulled him back to kiss her. He wasn't complaining, but he was hoping that was you who he was kissing right now and not some random chick.
When they pulled away to breathe, Joost looked around the room and saw you standing in the back with a shocked face and how it, in a matter of seconds, turned into a pained expression. That was the real you. You weren't sitting in his lap right now.
What were you thinking?
It hurt. It all hurt so much. You really thought he felt something for you, just like you did for him. But you were wrong, so, so wrong. "Y/n?" His words were slurred. "C'mon it was just for fun, you know that right?"
Drunk words are sober thoughts.
You heard him say somewhere towards you in his now drunk state, you couldn't even properly look at him, all you could do in that moment was to turn around and leave. On your way out of the house, you passed by people that gave you this kind of sympathy look. Did they think you and him were together too? You weren't, and he made that crystal clear.
"Y/N!" He was calling for you to stop, but you didn't. "Y/n! Can you stop for a second?!"
"What!? What is it Joost!?" You turned to him, stopping in your tracks. Barely holding tears in your eyes.
"What's wrong with you?!" Joost almost shouted, but held himself back because of other people near you two.
"What is wrong with me?" You had to ask. "With me?"
"Yeah, you're acting like I fucked that girl right infront of you, and even if I did, we're not together so it doesn't matter."
"I can't believe this." You avoided eye contact with him. "I'm such an idiot." Whispering, you looked down, letting the tears freely fall.
"What? So it's mine fault?"
"No it's mine."
An awkward silence was between you two.
Joost sighed looking down and put his hands on his hips. "Look Y/n, let's just get inside, get some drinks and forget about it. It wasn't that big of a deal anyway." He insisted and took a few steps towards you, trying to reach for you, but you backed down. You turned back around and said.
"Yeah, you're right, it's not that big of a deal anyway."
With that, you made your way home.
---
That was two days ago, and from that time you felt like shit. You barely slept and eating food was bad too. F/n was worried about you, she insisted on talking to him, herself or you. But everytime she threatened, you told her to stop. That you're going to deal with it by yourself. She stopped after that.
Two fucking days.
Your phone was blowing with missed calls and hundreds of unread texts from Joost, but you didn't want to talk to him. Not right now. His words still hurt you. "It's not that big of deal anyway." Yes, you promised something to each other, but his words hunt you.
As you laid in your bed and re-thinking every detail of that night, soft knocking brought you out of your head. At first you didn't want to get up and answer, if it's important then they will try it later.
But the soft knocking was getting louder and more annoying. You slowly got up and made your way to the door. Ready to scream on anyone that was behind them.
"Y/n?"
That made you stop in your tracks. Joost? What was he doing here? You didn't want him near you at all. That's why you distanced everyone.
"Y/n, open the door."
His knocking stopped and you saw his shadow under the door and how he was stepping from one side to another.
"Open the door. Please."
Joost begged. And that's something you never heard from him before. Part of you wanted to let him in and hug him, but the other not at all.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I said that night." You heard him say behind the door. Him still waiting for you to open to him.
"You didn't say anything wrong. Only truth." You muttered on the other side.
"Yeah, but..." He sighed and leaned his head on the door. Closing his eyes for a moment before speaking again. "You didn't deserve that."
That made you cry. He was right, you didn't deserve it like that.
"I hear you cry." He lifted his head from the door and tried to open them again. "Please don't cry."
"You made me look so fucking stupid." You cried more. "I thought...I thought that we-"
"I'm sorry."
You took the handle and slowly opened the door, letting that awkward silence spread all around you and him.
"What do you want from me?" You finally asked as your eyes were red and swollen from crying for the past two days. Just like his.
"I don't know." He admitted. "Probably everything..."
"That's a lot."
"I know I want you in my life." He began. "I'm scared that if I told you how I feel, you're going to leave me like everyone else."
"And why would I do that?"
He didn't say anything to that. Like you had caught him off of guard. But that didn't mean that you felt any better. You wouldn't admit it, but you didn't feel better.
"My heart always seems to be disappointed." You admitted quietly, letting it sink in. "Maybe it was made just to be shattered into thousands pieces."
"No, no, don't say that. It's not the truth, you don't believe that." His eyes were pleasing yours to say otherwise, but he didn't find what he was looking for in them. "Do you?"
"What if I believe in that?"
Now you were more scared of his silence than your damaged heart. Is this it? Is this the very end of yours and Joosts path?
"Are you going to say something?"
"I'm sorry." He stepped closer and opened the door fully. "I'm sorry that I hurt you, I don't know what I was doing...I was drunk a-and I know that it doesn't change anything, but I'm still so sorry and I need you to know it." He kneeled before you and hugged your waist. Trapping you in his hold.
"Joost." You didn't know what to say. Or what to do at that moment.
"I love you." He breathed out. "I don't want you to disappear from my world, because you are my world."
You stopped breathing for a moment. He loves you? Joost loves you? From all of the people he knows and ever met, he loves you?
"I need you to know how I feel." Joost admitted and held your legs tighter. "I should have said that sooner."

Hungry Like The Wolf
Chapter Fifteen
She hadn't seen her best friend, Lando, in years. She didn't run into him the last time she was visiting her father and she doubted she'd see him this time. Things were different now. She wasn't aware of his furry little problem. Just like she wasn't aware of the vampires plaguing the town.

A nest of vipers. That was what Carlos had called the big house in the woods whenever they caught sight of it. Lando's skin prickled as he followed Oscar inside, keeping close to him.
His hand itched to reach out and grab a hold of Oscars, but he held himself back. Not here, not in front of Oscars... what were they? Lando had a pack, he knew that, but what do you call a group of Vampires?
Fuck, they were all staring at him. He resisted that urge, the voice in the back of his head telling him to growl and bare his teeth. They'd just hiss right back at him, he knew. His breath was coming out short, stomach dropping to the floor. He was going to throw up.
A hand grabbed his. "You're panicking," Oscar whispered, but Lando knew they could all hear it. "Remember why we're here."
Right, they were here for her.
Mark watched them. He never let his eyes stray to their hands, to where they were connected, but Lando knew he was looking. He tightened his grip on Oscar, as if that would somehow stop his fight or flight response from kicking in.
"Oscar said you boys have something to tell me," Mark said, folding his arms over his chest.
Just looking at him, you wouldn't be able to tell he was a vampire. Actually, that was the case for everybody in the room. Their teeth were prominently displayed as they spoke and the pale skin was a result of weather around here.
Lando looked at Oscar, who was looking right back at him. They'd agreed before they walked into the house that Oscar would most of the talking. Lando was just there to be representative for his pack.
Oscar's mouth opened, ready to speak.
"There's a new pack," Lando said in one breath, unable to hold it back. "Just outside of town."
Whispers started up around the room, and Lando could hear every one of them. He ignored it, focusing forward on Mark, who let his eyebrows go up. "A werewolf pack?" He asked, attention on Oscar.
Oscar gave a nod. "Yeah. I think one of them came into town." He looked at Lando again. "Lando found one outside of the big house on Swan Drive and chased it away."
Mark's attention switched to Lando. "Swan Drive is your territory," he said. "Why does the pack want us in on this?"
"Because we don't think it was a coincidence that they were outside of that house." There was an edge to Lando's voice, a growl he wasn't quite letting through. "You know who lives there, you know what she means to Osc and I."
Oscar squeezed his hand. "Look, I've spoken to the wolves already and-"
"Not on my authority," Mark said quickly.
"No," Oscar agreed. "Not on your authority. But it would make sense, wouldn't it? If they want our territories, what would be the best way to get rid of us?"
"If we tear each other apart from the inside," Lando finished for him.
Oscar sucked in a breath. "It's just a theory, for now. We just want to make sure she's safe."
Shaking his head, Mark stepped closer to the two of them. "We're not going to get involved with this new pack," he said. "I'm sure the whoever is running your pack said the same thing. We'll be polite, stop them from coming onto our territory, but that's it."
A growl left Lando's lips. "What about her?"
"She's human. She's got nothing to worry about."
His eyes were yellow, unable to hide how angry he was. His fists shook, not remaining fists as he was unable to stop the change. His teeth elongated, hands becoming heavy paws.
"Lan," Oscar whispered. He pushed his fingers through his dark fur, trying to sooth him, but nothing was working. "Get out of here. I'll meet you at the café."
Lando disappeared out of the vampire house, running through the forest. They could still hear his growl as he headed back to the pack house.
***
It hadn't taken Lando long to calm down. She was was waiting in the café for the both of them, latte in front of her.
He got there before Oscar, his shirt not buttoned right. His hair was a mess as he sat in the seat opposite her. "Sorry I'm late, baby," he mumbled and took her hand, squeezing it. "And I'm sorry about the window."
"Don't sweat it, Lando," she replied and squeezed his hand back. "My dad is furious but he doesn't know it was you."
He still looked guilty as he got up to order himself a drink. A hot chocolate, and he knew he wouldn't finish it. He sat back opposite her, just in time to watch Oscar walk through the door.
His hands were shoved into his pocket as he walked over to their table. His eyes were fixed on Lando and he reached out to push his finger through his hair. "Had me worried there," he mumbled and kissed the top of his head.
Lando's cheeks were red, but he was stuck staring at his hot chocolate. Why did nobody see the danger that he saw? Why did nobody want to protect her like he did?
They were saying his name, had been for a few minutes now, but it was falling on deaf ears. "Hey," Oscar said softly. "Where have you gone?"
Lando shifted in his seat, sitting up slightly. "Sorry," he said, looking between the two of them. He picked up his hot chocolate and swallowed a mouthful, ignoring the way his throat burned. "I..."
The words died on his tongue. He looked at her, at how worried she was. Worried about him. But he was worried about her. He just wanted to keep her safe.
Just tell her, Oscar wanted to say. He couldn't do it, he didn't know. So, it was up to Lando.
"Can we get out of here?"
Oscar tried to stop himself from rolling his eyes as he looked at his boyfriend. Lando was stuck in his own head, and Oscar was happy to do anything to help him. He looked down at her. "What do you say, sweetheart?"
But she was already standing and taking her plate and mug over to the counter. Lando did the same, leaving his almost full mug of hot chocolate for the staff to take care of.
His arm was over her shoulders, nose against her head as he led her out of the café. Oscar brought up the rear, watching as Lando's shoulder's dropped with every breath he sucked in. He was calming down as he forced himself to accept that she was safe.
"Where you do you wanna?" Oscar asked, standing on the other side of her. Lando looked around, looked for any unfamiliar faces. Looked for anybody standing too close, looking for too long. Nobody met his eye, nobody dared get close.
Oscar stepped closer, wrapped his arms around him. "You're okay," he whispered. "She's safe. We'll make sure it stays that way."
And, suddenly, her name was called. Both boys turned so quickly as this man approached her. Not a werewolf, Lando could tell instantly, but still a threat.
She frowned at the guy before she placed him. “David? David from high school?” She asked and the man gave a nod. “This is Oscar, my boyfriend,” she said, gesturing to the man standing beside her.
Oscar reached forward and shook his hand. He squeezed it just a little tighter than he needed to, showing him that he meant business.
“And this is my…” She gestured to Lando, turned towards him. But he wasn't there. His wolf sat beside her, growling at David. “...my dog.”
“He's gorgeous,” said David, too wary to actually reach out to stroke his fur. “Is he a husky mix or…”
She nodded and stroked through Lando's fur. “Yeah,” she answered. “Something like that.”
David folded his arms across his chest and stared down at her. “Are you still friends with Lando Norris? You guys were inseparable growing up.”
Lando growled louder and stepped closer to her, trying to protect her from this guy. Something was off about his vibe and Lando wanted him gone.
Swallowing, David looked down at him. “I better go,” he said and backed away from her. “It was great seeing you.”
“You too,” she replied quickly, watching as he got into his car. Her fingers scratched at the base of Lando's ears. “You're lucky you're cute.”

Tumblr media
Yesterday Sam and Colby were exploring some haunted place and today they were supposed to be coming home.
Which means you're alone with Katrina in your home and as much as you love her company, and she loves yours, you both can't help but feel bored.
It's raining so you can't do much outside and your lazy moods doesn't help this situation.
Currently you are both laying on the couch watching some reality show, when suddenly Katrina kicks you.
"We should do something for boys. Maybe dinner?" she offered.
"Ooh that's a good idea." you agreed and you both stood up and went to the kitchen.
"Spaghetti?" she asked and you eagerly nodded. You were craving spaghetti this morning so that's a good opportunity to make it, plus Katrina's cooking is just delicious.
"You know what Kat?" you started after a moment of thinking when the other girl was gathering products. "We should prank Sam and Colby. Revenge for leaving us in this awful weather."
Kat stopped what she was doing and looked you in the eyes with a mischievous smirk and you just knew that she had some genius(probably not) idea.
"What are you thinking about?" you asked with a smile.
"Do you remember my ex, Damien?" she asked and you nodded. Of course you wouldn't forget the biggest asshole you ever met. "I broke up with him saying I'm lesbian. Do you see where I'm going?"
"You want to prank boys into thinking we're lesbians and we are cheating on them with each other?" you furrowed your brows and smirked "that's fucked up but I'm in."
"Actually I just wanted to prank one of them that one of us is gay but that's even better!" she hugged you with excitement.
"We should still make this dinner as an apology." you laughed and she agreed so you started working on the food.

When you got a message from Colby saying they would be home in ten, you excitedly told Katrina about it.
You both ran to your and Colby’s room where she asked “Should we get naked?”
You narrowed your eyebrows thinking about it. “That might be a little too much but we could take off tops and get under covers so they wouldn’t see we have pants on.”
“Good idea.” she agreed. You both took off your shirts and you laid them on the floor to make it seem like you threw it carelessly in heat of the moment. You also took some random pants from your closet and also laid it on the floor.
Then you both got onto your bed and covered your bottom parts with sheets so boys wouldn’t notice that you’re actually clothed.
“We should hug.” she stated and you just laid partially on her body placing your head on her shoulder so it looked like you were kissing her neck.
“Wait.” she thought about something “Doesn’t Colby can see you saw his message?”
“I didn’t open it, just read from notification.” you assured and she nodded with relief. After few moments you stated “They will hate us.”
“Oh definitely.” you both laughed “Do you think they will try to revange?”
“I don’t know but what can they do? Also pretend to be gay?” you snorted.
“Their fans would be delighted.” she laughed and then you both heard the front door opening so you immediately got silent and just exchanged looks smiling mischievously.
You heard boys coming up the stairs, probably looking for both of you to say hello, so you again placed your head in Kat’s neck trying not to laugh while she closed her eyes to make it seem like she was enjoying presence of your lips on her neck.
Few seconds later door to your room opened and you could hear Colby stopping walking but you both pretended to not hear it.
Moment later Sam started walking toward standing in shock Colby “Did they go out? I can’t find Kat…?
You and Kat looked at them with wide eyes pretending to be surprised and not knowing what to say. Both of boys just stood in the door frame with wide eyes and open mouths trying to comprehend what was going on.
“What the hell?!” Colby was the first one to shake off the shock “Y/n?!”
“Colby…” you faked a gasp and both, you and Kat, sat up holding covers to your chests.
“Sam, it’s not what it looks like.” you barely held back a laugh from escaping your lips at her words. Sam looked petrified with shock while Colby was almost shaking, you weren’t sure if because of anger or shock.
“Do you mind explaining yourself?” Colby asked in low tone and Sam nodded to him also wanting to know what’s going on.
“Baby, I think i’m gay.” you just said.
“We’re so sorry you had to get to know it like that.” Katrina sighed.
“What?” both boys said in the same time. Colby’s voice was choked and you felt your heart squeezing and suddenly you didn’t like this prank anymore. You knew they wouldn’t be happy but that was worse than you imagined. You knew this tone, Colby was trying to held back tears and you could already see Sam’s eyes watering.
You exchanged looks with Kat, both of yours eyes were full of guilt and concern. That was definitely a good moment to stop it.
“Okay boys, we’re really sorry. This was supposed to be a funny prank but I guess we didn’t think it through. That’s not as funny as we thought it would, actually it’s not funny at all.” you quickly explained and got out of the bed to let them see you weren’t naked and Kat followed your moves. You both took your shirts to wear them while boys were just silently observing your moves trying to understand your words.
“It…it’s just a prank?” Sam asked and you clearly saw a hope in his eyes and that made you feel even more guilty.
“Yes” Kat quickly nodded and you both approached them slowly.
“I could never cheat on you.” you said looking into Colbys eyes and carefully taking his hand giving him time to retreat it if he doesn’t feel like touching you. You felt relieved when he only squeezed it.
“We’re so sorry. We didn’t really thought about how bad you could feel.” Kat hugged Sam who closed his eyes with relief and reciprocated the hug.
Kat looked at you and took Sam’s hand to lead him to their room, closing doors after them.
“I’m so sorry. Are you very mad?” you asked Colby with concern leading him to sit on the bed.
“I…I just don’t know what to say.” he squeezed your hand again “I’m not mad…I mean, I am but I’m also happy it was just a prank. I really thought for a moment I would lose you.”
You felt your heart breaking at his words, his tone and his slightly watered eyes and you quickly hugged him repeatedly saying sorry.
You felt his hands hugging you back.
“What can I do to make you feel better?” you were ready to do anything just to make him feel better.
“Can we just hug in bed for some time?” you just nodded at that and you both laid back still hugging.
And if the next day you and Kat woke up with water all over yourselves, you couldn’t even be mad because that was nothing comparing to your prank

Cassian hated Windhaven. He hated it with all his strength.
No matter how many years, decades, and centuries had passed, he would never forget what he went through in that camp and how he was treated.
How he was still treated, it didn't matter that he had won the title of Carynthian or that he was the General and the Commander.
To them, he was always gonna be a bastard.
Someone they wouldn't hesitate to disrespect or to spit on if it weren't for the seven red siphons adorning his body.
He hated almost everything about Windhaven. The males - how arrogant and violent they were and how they treated the females.
Lord Devlon - how he managed the camp and how he treated him and Azriel.
And the weather - despite growing up here, Cassian preferred the sun of Velaris over the rain and cold of Windhaven any day.
But the biggest reason for him to hate Windhaven as much as he did was how the females were treated.
It reminded him of his mother. His mother, who had to work until her death. His mother, who was taken advantage of. His mother, who was alone for all those years, he was trapped in this horrible camp.
His mother, the one person that he wanted to save the most but couldn't. He couldn't even remember her no matter how much he tried. And all of that, because some stupid male believed he was superior to her.
That's why he was here right now.
Cassian and his brothers had arrived a few hours ago for another meeting with Devlon regarding the females’ training.
Nothing guaranteed him that he could make a change for those females, but hell, he was sure gonna try it. For her.
The meeting was supposed to end an hour ago, but Devlon's stubbornness kept prolonging it.
It finally ended half an hour later with Rhys' final decision that the females would be training three times a week during two hours before their chores.
Lord Devlon didn't like it, but there's nothing he could do against the High Lord's decision, so he had to 'suck it up', as Cassian made sure to tell him.
As the brothers made their way to the edge of the camp so they could finally leave, Cassian released a long breath letting go of the stress and anger that had built up in his body after seeing Devlon's arrogant face when they first arrived.
"That took longer than I expected," Rhys said, also releasing a long breath.
"It's Devlon. You know he never changes when it comes to the females." Azriel replied.
"Well, once a son of a bitch, always a son of a bitch." Cassian finished for them.
Cassian's brothers laughed at his words, humming their agreements.
"Az, I need you to come here for the next few weeks to verify if the training is happening." Rhys told him while they kept walking, "I know you don't like to come here, brother, but with the meetings between the Courts starting in a few days, I'm not gonna have the time."
"I know, Rhys, I'll do it. Don't worry." Azriel replied indifference settling on his face, trying to hide how uncomfortable he is with these visits, but deep down Cassian and Rhys knew it.
"I'll join you." Cassian said, clapping a hand on his back.
Azriel's only response was a small nod and a weak smile.
When they reached the entrance of the camp, Rhys moved to stand in front of them and extended his hands. "Shall we?"
Cassian looked at the sky before looking towards his brother. "Why don't we fly today?"
Rhys shot him an incredulous look, "You want to fly all the way over Velaris?"
Cassian shrugged his shoulders, "Why not? I mean, when was the last time we enjoyed a good flight?"
"I agree with Cass," Azriel spoke this time. "Also, something tells me that we should fly today."
Rhys lowered his hands, realizing that they were still extended, with furrowed eyebrows he asked "What do you mean? Your shadows?"
"Yes, they're acting differently today" Azriel paused a second, "I don't know why but they got more restless about an hour ago."
Confusion set on both Rhys and Cassian's faces, but Azriel just shrugged, not wanting to talk more about it and getting a little uncomfortable at his brothers' gazes.
Noticing this, Cassian changed the topic of the conversation when he saw Rhys was about to talk again "So should we get going?" He looked towards Rhys, a grin appearing on his face and amusement in his voice to match it "Don't tell me your age it's starting to get to you, brother."
Azriel couldn't help the laughter that escaped his lips.
Rhys chuckled, forgetting what he was about to say to the Shadowsinger. "Cass, not to be mean, but you know you're older than me, right?"
Cassian's grin didn't break. In fact, it grows even more. "Yeah, but unlike you, High Lord," Cassian bowed, exaggerating the movement before standing to his full height again. "I still train every day."
Rhys rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Please, I'm still in form, Cass."
Cassian crossed his arms over his chest, the amusement still present in his voice. "Sure, if you say so." He said while bumping shoulders with Azriel, who was still laughing.
"I am!" Rhys tells them, passing a hand through his black hair "Okay, enough, you two." He raises a hand gesturing to the sky with his wings appearing behind him. "Let's fly."
Rhys turns around, ready to take off when his brothers’ chuckles reach his ears. Turning again in order to see them, Rhys catches Cassian, making a horrible imitation of him and Azriel not being able to contain his laugh.
Rhys releases a long sigh. "Are you done mocking me?" His eyes looked straight to his General.
Cassian holds his hands in surrender. "Yes, we can go now." A smile never leaving his face.
As in sync, the three of them stretch their wings wide open before making their way into the sky with the sun already leaving so the moon can take its place for the night.
-
Cassian had been right. It had been a long time since he had the opportunity to fly just to enjoy it.
Their flight had begun two hours ago, and was going well. Cassian found himself enjoying the little things that only people blessed with wings had the pleasure to witness.
But his favorite thing was the view. That was never going to change.
He had the perfect view of the sky that was now painted orange and pink with the last rays of sun disappearing in a few minutes.
He saw the sky changing to a purple before giving place to a dark blue that was now shining with the stars.
One more hour and they would be in Velaris.
Cassian was eager to get home, after the day he had, all he wanted to do was to take a long bath, have dinner and go to bed. Maybe polish some of his swords, that always helped him relax after a hard day.
However, he was pulled from those tempting thoughts when his brother's shadows started acting agitated around their master's shoulders.
"Az," Rhys started, when the three brothers stopped flying and started levitating "what's wrong?"
"I don't know. They just started doing this''. With Azriel's last words, a small group of his shadows departed from the Shadowsinger and made their way towards the south.
Following that direction could only lead them to two places: the Court of Nightmares or the border.
The males just stared at the shadows flying away, unsure of what to do and it was Cassian who broke the silence "Should we follow them?"
Rhys focused his eyes on Azriel before asking him "You said your shadows were acting weird today. Could this be the reason?" He said, using his hand to point to where the shadows had been only a few minutes before.
"Maybe. I think..." Azriel wasn't able to finish his sentence after noticing that his shadows were coming back.
One of them made his way to his ear whispering to him the reason for their behavior.
The Shadowsinger eyes widened at the information that one of his little spies had just shared with him. He looked at his brothers before continuing "There's movement at the border."
That was all it took for the males to resume their flights, now heading to the border instead of home, flying as fast as possible.
Rhys talons scraped their minds gently asking for permission to enter and when the other two males allowed by lowering their minds shields, an order filled their minds. Not from their brother but from their High Lord"Be ready for anything."
-
Blood.
That was the first thing they were able to distinguish when they landed at the border between Night and Day.
They could tell by the scent lingering in the air that it wasn't much but enough, so whoever or whatever it belonged to, was seriously injured.
Cassian reached for the two swords that occupied his back, he kept one to wield, passing the other to Rhys, seeing that Azriel was already wielding his favorite and precious dagger - Truth Teller.
Grabbing the hilt of his sword tighter, Cassian gave the first step, starting to follow the direction that the scent led him to. His brothers quickly followed him.
Out of the corner of his eye, Cassian could see that the closer they got to their destination, the more restless and nervous Azriel's shadows became.
He didn't like the behavior the shadows were having, if it was a threat or a creature, they would've known by now, and the shadows wouldn't be acting like this.
Cassian realized that in all the centuries he had known the Shadowsinger and his little companions, they had never behaved like this and that made him nervous.
He made a silent prayer to the Mother. "Let it be an animal, please, just let it be an animal."  But deep down, Cassian knew it wasn't. The little bundles of darkness wouldn't be acting like this if it was.
Cassian released a long breath and prepared himself for the worst.
After walking for a few minutes in silence, the scent got stronger, and the General dared to look down.
A tiny footprint covered in blood marked the ground. His line of sight followed the footprint, and he found more like that previous one.
His breath got caught in his throat, and he froze for a moment, understanding to whom they belonged.
His brothers called his name, noticing the change in him, Cassian remembered that the males behind him had yet to see the footprints. The tiny little footprints.
It was Rhys who broke the deadly silence. "Cass, what is it?"
"It's a child." Cassian heard his brothers gasps, aware of the shock on their faces without having to look.
"It's a child." He repeated, more to himself than to them, and without a second thought, Cassian ran.
You had run away from your house after your stepfather had hit you again.
It wasn't the first time or the second, but you had enough and for the first time in years, you decided to do something about it.
You were born in Winter, in a small village near the border with The Middle.
You grew up with your stepfather, after your mother's passing when you were just a babe.
Things weren't always bad even though he never liked you. The only reason your mom agreed to marry him was because she had a one night stand with your father that resulted into pregnancy, she didn't want you to be born outside of wedlock and be seen as a bastard.
So she made a bargain with the male - if he kept the secret about you, she would marry him.
And so she did. She died two years later.
You also grew up with Marion, a old female who used to babysit you. She was kind, sweet and an excellent cook, being in her care was your favorite part of the day. But she was very old and by the time you were five, she had already left this life and begun the next one.
Leaving you with your stepfather.
You tried to hold on for as long as you could. You also tried to ask for help but the adults dismissed you, some saying you were just looking for attention, others saying you should be grateful to have someone taking care of you and not being in the orphanage.
Although you would prefer the orphanage to that male if you had the choice. You didn't even consider him family, for Cauldron's sake.
That made you angry. So angry that you boiled everything for weeks, only to let it all out that day.
The day you stood up for yourself and fought back.
Unlike some other lesser faeries, you were blessed with ice in your veins.
You were laying on the ground from the impact of the slap you had just received and when that awful male raised his hand to hit you again, you were quicker than him, grabbed him by the wrist and froze his entire arm.
Shock spread across your face. You knew you had powers, but you didn't know you could do that.
The truth was that you didn't exactly know what you were capable of or how to use them. You never had anyone to teach you, so your control over them was non-existent.
The male's screams broke through you. Afraid of what he would do to you after that, you ran to your room, freezing the lock, and escaped from the window.
With nothing but a dress, a pair of shoes and a red cheek.
You ran and ran, and didn't dare to stop or to look back.
-
Cassian had been running for how long he didn't know, but it felt like forever. He knew Azriel and Rhys were right behind him from the shouts of his name that he was able to hear.
From the moment he saw those footprints, all of this felt like a nightmare, one that he couldn't wake up from.
It was a nightmare that he wanted to end as fast as possible because Cassian wasn't sure if he wanted to find out what those marks were leading him to.
Once again, Cassian sent another silent prayer to the Mother, wishing with all his strength that she was hearing him "Be okay. Please be okay."
When he finally reached his destination, his heart stopped and his face went pale.
Cassian considers himself to be a strong male. Not just physically but also mentally.
He lived through wars, participated in countless battles, killed a lot of enemies, lost soldiers, friends, and a lover. He knew pain, violence, and torture.
But nothing prepared him for the sight of a little girl laying on her side, with her back facing him, unconscious on the cold earth with blood in her exposed arms and legs, another amount of blood stained her dress and the ends of her white hair. Her feet were fully covered with blood, the size of them matching the footprints he found earlier.
His brothers reached him and stopped by his side. The males put away their weapons, without taking their eyes off the little girl.
From his right, Azriel spoke, "By the Mother. Is she dead?" His voice broke on that last word.
"I...I...I don't...I don't know." Cassian tried to speak, his voice weak, not being able to process what was in front of him.
Understanding his brother, Rhys rested a hand on his left shoulder and gave him a nod before stepping forward.
The High Lord made his way to the little girl - to you. His hands were shaking and his heart was beating faster than it should.
But, then you moved. A tiny movement almost imperceptible if it weren't for their fae sight.
That made Rhys halt in his steps and the three males took their turns in releasing relieved breaths, a weight being lift from their shoulders.
You were alive. Now the only thing left to know was how injured you were.
Rhys looked behind him to his brothers, giving them a small nod before continuing his walk.
When you were only two steps away from him, Rhys stopped and bent down. From this closure he could only see half of your injuries.
You had cuts on your arms and legs, probably from branches, your feet covered in blood from walking or running on the solid ground, your dress slightly torn, and your skin extremely pale.
He tried to listen for a heartbeat or a breathing. But all he could hear was the unsteady heartbeats from his own heart and his brothers.
"Is she okay? Please tell me she's okay." Cassian said, his voice betraying him, while taking a few steps forward, Azriel following him.
Rhys looked behind his shoulder, at the males, "I don't know. I can't see the full extent of her wounds."
"Try to turn her around. Gently." Azriel said to him, his shadows still restless as they swim around their master's shoulders.
Rhys faced you again, he extended one of his hands to grab your shoulder and do what his Shadowsinger had suggested.
But the moment his fingers brushed your tiny shoulder, you opened your eyes and attacked.
-
You had lost track of time. You could have been walking for hours or days, you didn't know.
You didn't know where you were going. You just followed the stones that you found on the ground, at the exit of Winter Court.
They formed a kind of line, like a path, as if someone had placed them there for you, as if showing you the right path. They took you north, to the Solar Courts.
Every time you thought the stones were almost running out, many more appeared, always indicating the way. You thought it was a sign from the Mother.
You didn't think you'd make this far, but apparently you were stronger than you thought.
Or maybe it was your stubbornness. The people from your village always complained about how stubborn you were, but finding yourself in this situation, you started to think they were right.
Now, you only had a dress to protect you.
You got rid of your shoes a couple miles back when you realized their noise had attracted unwanted attention.
You had the feeling you were being followed and watched, but every time you looked around, you found nothing. Still, you got rid of the shoes for precaution even though the feeling never went away.
Your feet hurt with every step you gave, but you walked through the pain and didn't stop.
Your stomach growled. The last thing you ate was an apple when you climbed a tree for the night, and that was two nights ago, or was it more?
Your throat was dry, the last time you had to drink water was when you passed a river and you couldn't remember when that was or if it even happened.
You didn't know. The only thing you knew was that you were too weak. Your were dragging your feet, your eyes were unfocused, and from time to time, you would lose your balance.
You wanted to stop. You just wanted to lay on the ground and close your eyes, but your instincts and your stubbornness didn't let you.
But it wasn't just that. The feeling that you were still being watched remained, you weren't sure if you were or if you were just imagining it but you were not about to find out.
So you kept going. You refused to give up. You would rather die here than go back to that house.
When the sun left and the moon came to replace it, bringing a dark sky with it, you thought of stopping for a few hours and starting again once the sun returned.
But your body beat you to it. Before you knew, you were collapsing on the ground, hunger, thirst, and exhaustion taking over you.
The last thing you remember seeing before closing your eyes, was a skeleton creature with a black cloak watching you from the trees, and you could swear you heard him saying, "Don't worry, child. They're almost here. Rest now, you're going to be fine," right before he dropped a handful of stones - the same ones that led you here.
But you weren't sure if that was real too.
Rhys didn't even realize what was happening until it was too late.
You turned around so fast that he barely saw it. One second you were laying on the floor and the next one, you were biting his hand, right between his index finger and his thumb.
The High Lord of the Night Court cursed out loud, shock and surprise spreading through his features. He had never been so caught off guard like that before, and especially not by a little girl.
He ripped his hand from your mouth and stood, shaking his hand slightly to the sting that you just caused him.
When he looked down and went to reach for you again, you were already gone. He turned around and saw you ran towards the General.
Cassian bent his knees and extended his arms to try to grab you but you were faster than him.
Before he could close his arms in order to try to wrap you in them, you dodge to the side and when you saw him slightly standing up, you took your opportunity and kicked him in his private parts.
Cassian didn't have time to react, you were already passing beneath his legs to escape him.
Your only obstacle now was the Shadowsinger.  Azriel was so busy watching you, this little girl, facing his brothers that he didn't realize it was his turn.
He didn't know what to do, so he followed Cassian's move and try to grab you too, but before he could even try, you launched yourself to his leg wrapping your arms and legs around it and then reached for the shiny dagger that was settled on the top of his hip, pulling it off and grabbing it.
The moment the dagger was in your hand, you let go of his leg and proceeded to walk backwards while raising your arm and pointing it at the three males that now stood in front of you.
Azriel was taken by surprise, how did you do that? He didn't even notice you had taken his dagger from him. Cassian was still bent over from the kick you gave him and Rhys was clutching his hand.
The males were dumbfounded.
Cassian was the first to talk "What the fuck just happened?" He whispered with an incredulous look on his face.
The males changed looks between them before Rhys took a step forward that led you to take a step back.
He put his hands up in surrender and told you with a soft and calm voice. "It's okay. We're not going to hurt you."
He tried to take another step forward only for you to repeat your previous movement.
Rhys stopped, and with a hand pressed against his chest, he said, "My name is Rhysand. These are my brothers, Cassian." He gestured to the General, "and Azriel," he gestured to the Shadowsinger.
"We're not going to hurt you. We just want to help." Cassian said this time.
Your arm never flattered, dagger still pointed at them, your body still running with adrenaline.
Understanding that you wouldn't budge, the High Lord did the only thing he could do - he entered your mind.
He saw everything. Where you were born, your home situation, your stepfather and how you got here.
Rhys showed your memories to his brothers, the three males now angry for the reason that had forced you to run away.
Before you could find another way to humiliate them, you felt a darkness fill you and put you to sleep.
Falling to the ground one more time, you released your grip from the dagger, letting it fall at your side and entered into a deep slumber.
Azriel was the first to move. He walked towards you and bent down to pick up his dagger and put it back where it belonged. The Shadowsinger glanced at his shadows and saw they were calm, they looked relieved now that you were safe.
Still bent down, he removed the hair from your face before looking at his High Lord "You put her to sleep?"
Rhys gave him a firm nod "It seemed the only solution. Unless, of course, you wanted her to make us look stupids again," he finished while smiling.
The males chuckled at that, still not believing that you managed to outgrown the three of them.
"I can't believe she actually kicked you in the nuts, Cass," Azriel said, a big laughter erupting from him and Rhys.
Cassian growled "Shut up, Az. At least she didn't disarm me." He told his brother before speaking in a low voice "Idiot."
Azirel became more serious "Unbelievable isn't it? I only noticed she had Truth Teller when I saw it in her hands, how did she even do that? I mean, look at her," the Shadowsinger said with his hands gesturing to you.
They did. You were a child, and they were three full-grown illyrians males. Warriors.
Cassian started to laugh again, and at his brothers’ gazes, he explained, "She's a fighter. She could've just ran but she didn't. She decided to face us instead. No other child would've done that."
"Hum, that is true. I guess that makes her different from the others." Rhys concluded it.
Cassian removed his coat before making his way to you "We're taking her with us."
Rhys said surprised, "Of course we are." As if leaving you there was even an option.
Azriel lifted you gently so the General could wrap you in his coat before lifting you in his arms.
Now settled on Cassian's arms, you moved closer to his chest, resting your head there and seeking the comfort of his warmth.
Rhys approached Cassian, took off his coat and laid it over you, making sure you were well protected from the cold of the night.
Azriel followed his brothers’ movements and did the same with his, "Since we are all giving her our coats, plus it's much colder up there than down here." He said, remembering that they still had to fly to Velaris.
The males stayed silent for a moment, looking at you to make sure you were fine before they resumed their flights.
"We should go," Rhys said while passing his hand through your head "Mor and Amren must already be worried and wondering why are we taking so long and she needs to be seen by Madja."
Cassian looked up at the stars, knowing exactly what time it was by them "You're right. We're two hours late."
"Let's go home then." Azriel said for them.
-
Their flight to Velaris was faster than they thought. You passed the entirety of it sleeping peacefully in the General's arms, who would look at you every few minutes to make sure you were alright.
Before they knew, they were landing on the balcony of the House of Wind.
Through the glass doors, they could see Rhysand's second and third in command. There was no doubt, the females were agitated with their delay.
The High Lord reached for the door handle before twisting it and opening the double doors.
He was the first to enter with Azriel right behind him leaving Cassian to last.
"Finally." The ancient one was the first to speak, a glass of wine or blood, on her hands.
"Where the hell were you? We were starting to think those bastards illyrians had done something to you." Morrigan yelled.
"Relax Mor, as you can see we're in one piece." Rhys said, trying to make his cousin lower her voice.
"Yeah," Azriel scoffed, "except our pride." He added.
The third in command gave him an angry look "What is that supposed to mean?" She yelled again.
"Seriously, lower your voice, Mor" Rhys tried again.
"Why?" She said, not lowering her voice at all.
"Because you're going to wake her" it was Cassian's turn to speak, stepping forward with you still asleep in his arms.
The females went quiet at your sight. The only thing audible was the wind from outside the House. Ironic, considering the House they were in.
Amren broke the silence "Please tell me you didn't kidnap the child."
The High Lord gave her a confused look "What? No. We found her at the border, she was alone." His talons scraped their minds, and a second later the memories of what had taken place only a few hours ago filled the females minds.
While Amren chuckled at the memories of you standing against the males, Morrigan had tears in her eyes because of the ones of your stepfather.
The blonde knew very well what it was like to be a part of a family that wasn't good to you. But even in that, she was much older than you were.
Cassian tears her from her thoughts “I'm going to lay her on one of the beds, why don't you go get Madja?" He asked her.
"Okay." Mor said, her voice barely a whisper.
-
An hour later, you were still in a deep slumber while Madja examined you with the Inner Circle present in the room in silence.
They saw as Madja healed your cuts that were now disappearing, and then moved to your feet that also started to heel.
With anxiety taking over his body, Cassian can't help but ask "How is she? She's going to be fine, right?"
The old female faced the General "Yes. All her wounds are already healed. Now, she may stay asleep for a few more days but that's normal. After everything she went through, her body is exhausted and needs resting." She answered him, but Azriel, ever the Spymaster, was able to see the look on the healer's face that said that this wasn't all.
"But?" He made the first move.
The healer gave a long sigh and continued "She's too skinny. She needs to gain weight. A lot of it"
"She will. We'll be taking care of her now." Cassian replied. The Inner Circle agreed with him, Rhys put his hand on his shoulder and gave him a light squeeze.
"Very well. Come get me when she wakes up." The healer said after packing her things and making her exit.
Everyone left the room but the General. He approached the bed and took a seat on your right side.
He pushed your hair out of your face gently and kept passing his hand in your head in a tender gesture while he saw you sleeping peacefully for a few minutes, gathering the courage for his next words.
And when he finally did, he said, his eyes soft and his voice calm "Don't worry, little star, you're safe now. No one is going to hurt you ever again. I promise."
You woke up four days later. When you got out of the bed it was already dark outside.
You noticed you were washed and dressed in a clean set of pajamas, and that you were no longer injured or tired.
Now, you were just hungry, and when the scent of chocolate reached the room you were in, you gathered your courage and made your way downstairs while following the sweet scent.
It lead you to a living room - a fancy and very rich living room.
Several paintings decorated the walls, leather sofas with silk cushions took place at the foot of the fireplace with a coffee table on which a vase of flowers and several books sat. A huge dining table with matching chairs occupied the other side of the room, and in front of you in a long corridor were two closed glass doors that led to a balcony.
Your gaze settled on the chocolate cake that was on top of the table, with a lick of your lips you moved towards it.
You loved chocolate and you were so hungry that you ate half of it. You lifted the fork for another bite before stopping in the middle of it, when your eyes moved to the window.
Intrigued by the view, you dropped your fork next to the cake and walked to the glass doors.
You opened them and made your way to the balcony.
You weren't tall enough to see beyond it, you tried to stand on your tiptoes but it still didn't do any good. Looking around you, you found a large pot with a plant in the corner and as you moved to use it as a bench, a voice stopped you.
"Already exploring?"
You turned around and found the General. He was no longer in his leathers, opting for more comfortable clothes and his hair tied in a bun.
He tried again "I'm Cassian but my family calls me Cass. Can you tell me your name?" He said with a smile.
You didn't answer him but you didn't stop looking at him either, almost like challenging him.
"I presume you're feeling better since you almost ate the entire chocolate cake," He chuckled, and when you gave him a nod of affirmation, his heart skipped a beat.
Progress. It wasn't a word but he was willing to accept anything you had to offer.
His eyes moved to the vase and then to you, understanding what you were trying to do.
"Here," He said while extending his arms, offering to pick you up so you could do what you came here for, "It's safer this way."
He watched you hesitate for a moment, "I'm not going to hurt you. I promise."
And then you moved. You put your hands on his arms and let him pick you up.
He moved forward to the edge of the balcony with you secured in his arms again, giving you the perfect view of Velaris and the sky above shining with the stars.
After a few moments of silence, his heart skipped a beat again at your words "Y/N."
He turned his head so fast to meet your eyes but you were already looking at him and with a small smile you added "My name is Y/N."
Cassian couldn't help but return the smile, his gaze softened and when you turned your head again to gaze at the beauty of Velaris, the General found himself saying "Welcome to the Night Court, Y/N."

Clavis Lelouch: Even If I Can No Longer Play Pranks
From A Hidden Oath: King of the BEAST (2024 Election) - Collection Event
Thank you @dark-frosted-heart for providing the SE video!
Under the gentle sunlight, we went on a picnic date to the lakeside, but...
Emma tilted her head, puzzled, at the cupcake she took out of the basket.
Tumblr media
Clavis: What's wrong? Not in the mood for cupcakes?
Emma: No, it looks delicious, but I'm a little surprised it's not homemade by you, Clavis...
Clavis: I heard it's popular in town.
Clavis: But I didn't realize you were craving my special cake... I've failed as a fiancé.
Emma: Of course I miss it, but I'm very happy with the cupcakes too.
Emma: I'll have one right away!
Clavis: Yes, I've prepared all kinds for you. Enjoy them to your heart's content.
Seeing Emma happily munching on the cupcakes fills me with contentment.
(I'm changing things up today. I don't want to bore her by doing the same thing all the time.)
(...But it's unsettling to not have anything planned.)
Emma: As expected of a famous cake. It's really delicious.
Emma: But I guess it's a little lonely without your special cake, Clavis.
Clavis: To hear such words, you've truly been influenced by me.
Emma: I've experienced so many of your pranks that I've had no choice but to get used to it.
(Ah, usually - no, even since I was young, I've always tried to get attention with pranks.)
(Otherwise, an ordinary person like me would fade into the background.)
Tumblr media
(But now it's different. Even without trying to get attention, you look at me more than anyone else.)
(Still, I can't help but wonder...)
(What if you get tired of me someday and leave me?)
Even though I know it's unlikely, I can't help but think about it sometimes.
Clavis: Then, I must think of even more outlandish pranks that you can't get used to.
Emma: No, it's alright. Really.
Clavis: Don't be shy, don't be shy.
(The reason why I still have the bad habit of playing pranks on Emma to get her attention is)
(Probably because I'm unconsciously trying to prevent myself from doing so.)
(But if, by any chance, I can't even play pranks anymore...)
He offered her a book with a ribbon.
Emma accepted it as if examining it, opened the cover, and looked at it closely.
And finally, as if she had decided it was an ordinary book, her expression changed to one of suspicion again.
Emma: Clavis... did you eat something bad? Or did you have a nightmare?
Emma: Or are you feeling down... If you have any worries, please tell me!
Clavis: Haha, you're overthinking it. I'm always a devoted man - there's nothing strange, okay?
Clavis: Now, there's no one to disturb us here. Enjoy reading to your heart's content by the quiet lakeside.
Emma: That's fine, but...
Emma: But it's true that it's a happy time to be able to read a book while eating delicious food under the warm sun.
(That's right, that's right. I knew you'd be happy as a book lover, and my plan worked.)
As Emma finally smiled brightly and opened the book, the edges of the pages fluttered in the wind.
Clavis: It's getting a little windy. Even though it's good weather for a picnic, aren't you cold? That's right...
Emma: Wah...
I picked Emma up and sat her on my lap.
Clavis: You don't have to worry about that if you read like this.
Tumblr media
Emma: Clavis, you just put me on your lap and didn't do anything... What's wrong with you today?
(She's worried, but her earlobes are bright red. Oh no, she's so cute I want to take a bite... my wicked heart aches...)
But determined to stick to my resolve, I cleared his throat and returned a gentlemanly smile.
Clavis: What? Do you think the only thing you can do without distractions is read?
Emma: Meaning...?
Clavis: It's just the two of us here, the perfect setting for a little fun with my fiancée, wouldn't you agree?
(When the time comes that I can't play pranks anymore, how will I confront this love and keep Emma's attention...?)
(Thinking about that time, I need to devise ways to capture her attention now, not through pranks, but through more straightforward methods.)
(As a first step, I've decided to thoroughly spoil Emma today.)
Emma: ...Does this mean today is a no-prank day?
Clavis: A peaceful day like this isn't so bad, is it?
Having dodged her probing question, Emma opened her mouth again with a serious and loving look in her eyes.
Emma: Isn't Clavis only Clavis when he's playing pranks?
Emma: I'm always prepared to handle those pranks, so don't hold back now.
(It must only be Emma who would face my pranks head-on like this.)
Tumblr media
Clavis: I see, so simply being loved isn't enough for you?
Emma: I don't want to agree, but thanks to someone, it seems I've become that kind of person.
Clavis: Haha, there's no other woman as spirited and delightful as you.
Clavis: That's what makes you my beloved fiancée.
Emma: If you understand, then that's all that matt—mm!
As she wished, without waiting for her to finish, I parted her lips with a mischievous kiss and entwined my tongue with her surprised one.
Her body trembled slightly on my lap, probably because she was starting to feel the sweet sensation.
Emma: ...C-Couldn't we save the rest for when we're back?
Clavis: I told you, it's just the two of us here.
Clavis: The perfect place to make love, wouldn't you say?
As I slid my hand from under her skirt and caressed her thigh, Emma's eyes moistened with heat.
Emma: ...B-But there's no guarantee someone won't come, right?
Clavis: Don't worry, I've made sure no one will come near for a while.
Clavis: Now, think of this as another one of your requested pranks, my fiancée.
As I kissed her gently, conveying all my love, I made a deep vow in my heart.
(I will continue to search for ways to keep you by my side with love in the form of pranks.)
(And even when the day comes that I can't play pranks anymore, I swear to continue my love for you.)

Take: chaotic evil Yehonatan, in which he knew David is meant to replace him and his father from the very start.
TLDR: Yehonatan is as, if not more likely to be the abuser in their relationship because it is plain unfair to overlook how humongous their power gap is, and he is abused enough to be at least a little unhinged in his noggins.
Warning: dead dove do not eat. Im going to entertain an idea where Yehonatan is definitely not a good person. If you have a problem with that, or have issue reading fictional underage abuse and emotional manipulation, please stop reading. Finally, nothing about this is meant to be serious interpretation of the original text, it's all plain headcanoning for fanfiction.
(For the record, i seriously do not consider David (even close to being) a morally good individual in any possible sense of the word. It doesn't make any of this ok tho)
Some fanfics i've seen paint the davinatan ship as a manipulative one, with david being the seducter that manipulates Yehonatan into simping for him, only to discard him after David achieved his goals. Even outside of fanfictions, i know of people who view Yehonatan as a tragic victim. While i appreciate David's more malicious side being acknowledged, and agree with it more than depicting them simply and benignly loving eachother(tho i appreciate that too), I can't help but think how both protrayal down plays just how utterly creepy yehonatan's part in the relationship is.
Like, Yehonatan, a middle aged man with wives and kids, went ahead and basically stripped in front of a teen the first night they met then gave him some really personal and valuable gifts. If thats not a red flag i don't know what is.
Yehonatan is someone you do not want to cross, maybe even more so than Saul.
It is easy to forget that, holding the title of eldest son and legal heir to the throne comes with immense pressure, responsibility and danger, and dealing with all that takes more than just a thick backbone. With a deranged father as king, people around him are constantly plotting to take the throne for themselves. All bets are off in the war for the throne, even if Yehonatan doesn't actually want to be king, his competitors (which includes but not limited to his entire family) wouldn't rest until he is dead. He isn't in a position where he can just back off: it isn't unheard of that princes and kings renounce their positions, retire, and end up getting assassinated or executed anyway. Because king or not, they are still legitimate heirs to the throne and therefore a potential threat.
Basically, Yehonatan lives in a situation where he simply cannot afford to show weakness or hesitation, not to his subordinates, not to his brothers, not to his father, not to anyone. What doesn't kill you makes you dangerous, and Yehonatan is deadly in that sense.
(But its not to say all that didn't take a toll on his mental wellbeing. Yehonatan has no business being mentally ok. He watched his father ascend to the throne, watched as Saul sunk further towards insanity, and had to endure his often psychotic abuse for years. I don't believe one bit that he isn't depressed and at least a little messed up, especially in a time where mental illnesses aren't even acknowledged yet.)
To sum it up, as a weathered crown prince, Yehonatan would logically be a person who is reasonably paranoid, moderately ruthless, extremely strong willed and more than competently intuitive about the motives and intentions of people around him.
David on the other hand (at the start of their relationship anyway) had no prior experience mingling with politics, no ties in the palace, was never regarded with importance by his father or brothers (meaning he had zero exposure and no one ever invested in him), young and inexperienced (meaning vulnerable to manipulation), stands no chance against Yehonatan if he were to play mind games on him.
David could pull an Esther on Yehonatan. But keep in mind Esther and a lot of other femme fatal spies in history had ties that helped pull strings from the outside, they are often not the master mind either. David had himself, and practically nothing else.
This is why Yehonatan helping him matters so much. Useing weak willed and easily manipulated individuals only works for you if you are already a powerful dictator. If you have absolutely nothing you need powerful allys.
The most straightforward option for dark Yehonatan is just to kick the creep element up ten notchs. David tries to seduce Yehonatan, then immediately realises he bit off more than he could chew: he is just too possessive to be controlled. Yehonatan in this scenario probably somewhat resembles that purple creep from Tokyo ghoul, entertaining while the shock value lasts, but after that it gets pretty shallow. I hate this approach tbh.
Or, him seeing David that day was Yehonatan's last straw(what i doodled basically). He stops giving a sh*t about everything, and thought since he is so "in love" he might as well groom and sodomize David. Its a petty way of getting back at God for making him fall for the boy, and for making his life miserable in general.
He uses his charms and presents himself as a saintly figure to appeal to David's more religious side, then proceeds to not only make sure that David is emotionally dependent on him(i won't elaborate how but its easier than you think), but also plans to make it so that if he dies it will f*ck David in the head. He enjoys this, because for once in his life he feels a "real" sense of control, albeit a twisted and perverted one.
(Maybe he will feel shame and regret eventually, but thats another talk for another day.)
I'll borrow my friend's comment to sum up the take: "a broken abused individual perpetuating a cycle of abuse to an ambitions sociopathic twink, each making the other worse just through being together." Another reason i prefer this version of dark Yehonatan is cuz it restores some agency Yehonatan desperate lacks.
Strayed quite far from his canon image with my shameless slandering but yeah that's about it. For now. Might explore David's pov in this later.

favourites - platonic!crowley x reader
gender non-specific, reader is a uni student, crowley is a father figure, implied platonic!aziraphale x reader
a/n: back from my hiatus to post this. it's been sitting in my drafts for a while. hope you like it!! <3
word count: 767
Tumblr media
You thought it'd be nice to surprise Aziraphale and Crowley and come home during the break. However, you hadn't imagined they'd be in the middle of another… unearthly situation.
Turns out the two of them have been harbouring the Archangel Gabriel, whom you had only met once. And whom the last you heard of was when he tried to kill Aziraphale.
But, love thy neighbour, you suppose.
On your way home, you thought it peculiar that the streets were wet despite the forecast predicting no rain. However, the weather is known for its unpredictability, so you shrugged it off.
When you arrived at the bookshop, you were met with a grumpy-looking Crowley who, to your credit, did look surprised to see you. He explained that Aziraphale, against his own wishes, had taken the Bentley to Edinburgh. And he ignored your comment about how he never lets you drive his car.
So, you stayed at the bookshop with Crowley. You caught a glimpse of your room upstairs. Your bed, your desk, even the chair Aziraphale insisted on having so he could read to you was still there, despite you telling him that you were too old for bedtime stories. Everything was in the exact same place you left it.
Except now, Aziraphale's copious amounts of books have taken up storage like stalagmites in a cave. And there was a strange, large man occupying your space. You decide to take refuge downstairs.
To pass the time, Crowley tells you about Job as you look through the book that Aziraphale had left out. He tells you about God's plan to test the faith of their favourite human, how he had free reign to ruin Job's life but ultimately didn't.
Crowley was always nice, you thought.
After hearing the story, you say, "It's a bit overly righteous."
"Well, we are talking about God," Crowley replies.
"Yeah, I know, but there must have been a better way." You try to think of an analogy. "What if I said, 'Oh Crowley, you're my favourite dad, but maybe you only like me because you have to'. And then I crash your car and set your plants on fire and… punch Aziraphale in the face to see if you'll still like me afterwards."
Crowley stares at you with subtle incredulity. You sense that he's about to say something judgemental.
But instead, he asks, "I'm your favourite?"
"What?" you reply.
"You just said I'm your favourite."
"…I was just trying to make a point."
"Oh, so Aziraphale's your favourite?"
"Who said I had a favourite?"
"Come on, everyone has a favourite parent."
"Well, I don't."
Crowley stares at you even more, waiting for you to break. But you seem successful in holding your ground.
"Alright, whatever," he gives in. "And I do like you, by the way. Not just because I have to."
"Hah, I knew it," you give him a big smile.
"Just don't crash my car or do any of what you just said."
"I wouldn't dream of it."
He smirks back and continues, "I agree with you about the whole Job situation, too. So does Aziraphale. That was the first day the two of us were truly on the same side."
"Our side," you say.
"Exactly," Crowley nods, "Though we hadn't realised it at the time."
You watch as Crowley smiles to himself. It reminds you of the nights in your room when Aziraphale would abandon whatever book he had picked and tell you a story of him and Crowley instead.
You find yourself smiling too.
But a crash from upstairs ruins the moment. It's Gabriel, or rather, Jim.
You sigh and ask, "Did Aziraphale have to give him my room?"
"No, but I suppose he wanted Gabriel to be comfortable for whatever reason," Crowley shrugs.
"What if he's touching my stuff or something?"
"He probably is. Might be breaking a few of your things, too."
You cringe at the thought. "Would it really hurt you to try and make me feel better?"
"What, you want me to lie to you?" Crowley asks.
"You are a demon, aren't you?"
"Retired, technically."
Unable to think of something to respond with, you turn your sights to the street through the window, wondering when you'll see the Bentley return.
"Hey," Crowley grabs your attention again, "This will all be over before you know it. Then I'll let you and Aziraphale drag me to whatever dreaded place you both wish."
You aren't sure how true that is. Or how much trouble Jim will really be for them.
But for now, you just smile. "Sounds like a deal."

Can I request chrollo, Feitan and Kurapika with a s/o who just despises blood? Like whenever they see it weather it would be their own or Someone else’s they’re disgusted
bloody distaste
Tumblr media
synopsis - how are they with someone who detests blood
includes - kurapika, chrollo, feitan
warnings - gn!reader, fluff, blood, lots of blood, wc - 457
Tumblr media
kurapika ★↷
↪he never really thought he'd be one to get used to the sight of blood, but that was before his clan was slaughtered. before he set his sights of revenge that could only be achieved through violent means.
↪he would agree with your disgust toward blood if he hadn't become so desensitized to it - but he can still see why you hate it so. and because he understands why you hate it, he's more able to help.
↪ because of your distaste toward blood, you probably don't engage in combat much or if you do it's limited. and so he probably would always direct your attention away from the bloody sides of battles as quick as he could.
↪he would also be very good at keeping you distracted if you had a bloody injury. he'd keep your eyes solely focused on him as he worked to cover the wound as quiclly as he could.
chrollo lucifer ★↷
↪he's the leader of the phantom troupe, if he wasn't desensitized to the sigjt of blood that would be a bit weird. it would practically be a daily occurrence for him to see some sort of blood and nowadays it wasn't his own.
↪therefore he wouldn't exactly be able to understand why you felt disgusted at the sight of it. he would make snarl and teasing comments about it to start with but after seeing how much it actually revolted you, he'd tone it down a little bit.
↪although he would be surprisingly understanding, always trying his hardest to just help you avoid the sight. especially if it was your own.
↪surprisingly gentle with how he focused your attention elsewhere and away from any blood that would very easily make you want to retch.
feitan portor ★↷
↪as the phantom troupes interrogator, he is extremely proficient in torture methods and so he regularly sees blood - that and he's a criminal. so he really sees no issue with blood, his or someone else's he doesn't care.
↪so if you are the type to be disgusted by the sight of blood you better hope that he keeps up with cleaning any blood of himself before he sees you - more for his sake of not being told off by you.
↪he wouldn't understand why you were disgusted by the sight of blood - you'd have to tell him ten times over that he was just too desensitized. but he could eventually try and see where you were coming from - try.
↪the most he would ever do to help you avoid the sight of blood is to distract you snd hold back a snarly comment about how it was 'only blood'. but he knew you wouldn't appreciate that.

Killing time while I wait for my husband to finally finish work for Christmas, and very in my feels about both Hinny and Drastoria, so here is some Christmas fluff of the Malfoy and Potter families meeting on the Platform at the start Al and Scorpius' first christmas holidays (in which there is no blood curse, because I said so 😤):
Platform Nine and Three-Quarters was in chaos, a great mass of children, carrying owls, cats, and luggage far too big for most of them to safely manage, having descended upon it moments before. The confusion was not helped by the chorus of greetings, the hooting of owls, and the thick smoke billowing from the Hogwarts Express adding to the general mayhem.
“He's there.”
Astoria's gaze followed the direction of Draco’s nod until her sights settled on an identical, though much shorter, pale blond head, struggling against the crowd. She smiled at the sight.
“He looks skinny,” Draco added, frowning.
Astoria rolled her eyes. “He's always been skinny – he grows like someone's cast a stretching jinx on him.”
Draco's frown remained in place, “I knew he wouldn't be wearing a cloak. He's going to freeze to death.”
“Well, thank Merlin you insisted on bringing that, then,” Astoria inclined her head to the scarf clutched in Draco's hand, the concession he'd made to the fur-lined cloak he'd wanted to bring. One that Astoria had only agreed to because she'd also suspected Scorpius’ forward planning would not extend to the weather. “He's coming – don't fuss him in front of his friends, you're going to embarrass him.”
She had no time to press upon Draco the severity of her warning before Scorpius came barrelling out of the steam, grinning broadly. “Hello! Merry Christmas!”
Scorpius’ arms immediately wrapped around Draco's waist. A hug that was not returned only because Draco was preoccupied wrapping the awaiting scarf firmly around Scorpius’ neck and looking extremely unsatisfied about the warmth it would provide.
“Merry Christmas, darling,” Astoria bent to kiss the top of Scorpius’ head.
“How was your first term?” Draco asked. His wand was out now, no doubt casting a silent warming charm.
“It was awesome!” Scorpius declared, a word he'd evidently picked up from his new friends. “They have all these cool plants in the greenhouses and the library is huge – the librarian is the worst though – and Al and I found a secret tunnel that leads to –”
Scorpius stopped speaking abruptly, evidently realising a moment too late that this was not information he wanted his parents to be privy too.
Draco raised a question eyebrow, “...leads to…?”
Scorpius shrugged, “A place.”
Astoria had to cover her mouth with her hand to hide her smile. He had never been a good liar, apparently a few months away from home hadn't improved that.
“Will you come and meet Al?” Scorpius asked suddenly, apparently seizing on a change of subject before any follow up questions could be asked.
Astoria's eyes flew to Draco. He tried and failed to hide the grimace this question brought on. Fortunately, Scorpius was too busy searching the crowd for any sight of his new – and oft-mentioned in his letters home – best friend.
“We'd love to, darling,” Astoria said smoothly. “He's probably busy with his family right now, though.”
Scorpius shook his head. “He told me to come and get you – there he is!”
Astoria followed the direction of his pointed finger, her eyes settling on the family huddled a short way down the platform. A small boy with untidy black hair was pointing in Scorpius’ direction, their stances identical.
Astoria slipped her hand into Draco’s and squeezed. She smiled at Scorpius, “lead the way.”
He was off like a shot, dodging other students and their parents, in his haste to reach Albus.
“This is proof karma is real,” Draco muttered to Astoria, following Scorpius at a much more sedate pace. “I'm not sure what Potter's done to deserve it though.”
Astoria elbowed him gently in the ribs. “This isn't proof of anything. It's not about either of you at all, it’s about the kids.”
Silently Draco nodded. There was very little he would not endure for Scorpius.
They reached the Potters. Scorpius and Al were already chattering excitedly, as though they hadn't just spent eight hours on a train together. Harry Potter's arms were crossed firmly over his chest, his wife was on her tiptoes, whispering furiously into his ear. Astoria wondered if he was receiving the same reminder Draco had just been given.
“Mum, Dad, this is Al,” Scorpius stepped back, waving a hand in front of Albus Potter as though he was a painting Scorpius was especially proud of creating. “Al, this is my mum and dad.”
“It's a pleasure to meet you,” Astoria said, painting a wide smile on her face.
Draco rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. “Hello.”
“I'm Ginny!” Ginny leapt forward, cutting through the awkward silence that threatened to overtake the little group. “I don't believe we've officially met.”
“Astoria, it's lovely to meet you.” Astoria took her outstretched hand and quickly shook it.
“And this is Harry,” It happened quickly, but Astoria could not help but notice Ginny's booted foot quickly step on her husband's shoe.
Harry did not unfold his arms to greet Astoria. He did, however, offer a smile that was quite clearly strained, before his eyes flicked to Draco. “Malfoy.”
Astoria resisted the urge to hide her head in her hands as Draco's mouth formed a thin line that she knew to a casual outsider looked incriminatingly like a sneer, but was actually him trying –and most likely failing – not to fall into a shame spiral she'd spent years pulling him out of. “Potter.”
They stared intensely at one another. Astoria silently wondered if she was going to be forced to hex the head of the Auror Department and her husband in the middle of Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
Fortunately, Al, who was apparently impervious to the tension unfolding around him, chose that moment to speak, “Dad, can Scorpius come to the Harpies match with us on Boxing Day?”
Harry's eyes finally broke from Draco's. Astoria breathed a sigh of relief. She took the moment of distraction to dig her elbow into Draco's side once again.
“Er,” Harry struggled to find a suitable answer in the face of Scorpius and Albus’ pleading expressions. “He could, but I'm sure he has plans with his own family, Al.”
Scorpius’ head whipped around, staring questionly between Astoria and Draco questioningly.
“We have to go to your Grandparents',” Astoria said apologetically. She didn't know which of the three of them were looking forward to it the least.
Scorpius' face fell.
“You don't have to go,” Draco said quickly, “to your Grandparents' house, I mean. You can go to the match – if Al's parents are sure?”
Harry looked at Ginny. She shrugged. “There'll be plenty of room in the box – and it's hard enough to drag Al to a match usually.”
“Scorpius loves Quidditch,” Al announced, apparently in explanation for his newfound willingness to attend.
Scorpius flashed Al a grin before turning his attention back to Astoria and Draco. “Can Al come to our house too? I want him to meet Artemisia!”
Harry frowned. “Who's Artemisia?”
“She's our hippogriff,” Scorpius explained. Harry and Ginny shared a look of shock that made it clear they were both thinking of one of Draco's worst school-aged transgressions. “Mum looks after loads of them, but Artemisia is special.”
“I'm sorry,” Harry rounded on Draco, not looking very sorry at all. “You have a pet hippogriff?”
Draco cleared his throat awkwardly. “Well, she’s Astoria's hippogriff. She's had her since before we got together. The rest of them, she adopted after we got married, but…”
Draco trailed off, clearly deciding he'd been speaking for too long. Harry was staring at him as though he'd just grown a second head.
“She's very safe,” Astoria said, bringing the conversation back on track. “She loves kids. I'm sure she'd be delighted to meet Al.”
“He could stay over after the match!” Scorpius suggested.
Astoria nodded. Looking to Ginny for confirmation that this was alright, their husband's both seemed to be struggling too much internally to contribute anything further.
“That should be fine. Merlin knows I don't plan to do anything more exciting than eat as much chocolate as physically possible between then and New Year.”
“Oh, that's practically mandatory,” Astoria agreed. “Do you want us to drop Scorpius to you before the match or –”
Ginny nodded. “My brother can probably arrange a Floo connection between our house and Malfoy Manor, he works at the Department of Magical Transportation.”
“We don't live at Malfoy Manor,” Draco cut in, apparently having recovered the ability to speak once more.
“Al has our address,” Scorpius added, making it abundantly clear they'd planned the whole thing already and were asking their parents only as a courtesy.
“Right,” Ginny shook her head, clearly coming to the same conclusion as Astoria. “In that case, we'll see you on Boxing Day, Scorpius – Now, we need to go and find James, his absence is only more concerning the longer it continues for.”
This seemed to shake Harry – who had been staring, puzzled at Draco since the revelation of Artemisia's existence – from his reverie. “I'll go find him. It was nice to meet you, Scorpius.”
“We need to go as well,” Astoria said even as Draco tucked him securely under his arm. “Have a lovely Christmas,” she added, smiling from Ginny to Al.
“You too,” Ginny grabbed both of Al's shoulders, spinning him to face the opposite direction. “Go and get your sister, she's talking Hugo's ear off.”
Al waved enthusiastically at Scorpius before disappearing into the crowd.
Draco wasted no more time, guiding Scorpius and Astoria towards the barrier that marked the exit of the platform.
“Dad, can we go to Diagon Alley and get some chocolate frogs? They're Al's favourite.”
“You want to go to Diagon Alley on the Saturday before Christmas?” Draco's tone made it clear he thought this was a horrifying idea.
Scorpius nodded, apparently unconcerned. Astoria leant closer to him, speaking quietly enough to only be audible to Draco. “Pick up more wine while you're there. I'll need it to endure your mother's reaction when she learns she's not seeing Scorpius for Christmas because he's with Harry Potter's son.”
Draco shook his head. “Wine won't be strong enough.” He smiled at Scorpius who was still happily chattering away about the plans he had for Al's visit. “He looks happy though.”

Vincent was above you. One elbow placed next to your head the other laying on the other side. He pulled back his right hand and put it on your stomach visibly pleased with himself. "Look how full of me you are. You're taking me so well ma chérie." Just as you were about to arrive at a conclusion of your fantasy you heard a knock on the door.
"Doing okay in there?" Vincent asked through the bathroom door. "It's already 9:30 and i have a trial at 11:00 would you mind stepping out?" You scrambled hoping to god he didn't hear anything he wouldn't have liked. You quickly washed your hands and got out, sending him an apologetic look on the way.
Vincent and you were roomates, housemates more likely and you couldn't have ended up with a better one. To put it bluntly he was perfect. He always did the dished and if you were feeling under the weather he offered to do yours, he took out the trash reguarly and vaccumed out of his own volition.
From what you've heard, from your friends and family, choosing a person your own age as a roommate ended up in catastrophe most of the time. Your personal catastophy was falling in love with Vincent.
The first time you saw him he was as bashful as you were, the first converstion happened on the phone which didn't prepare you for the gorgeous man you later met.
He came to see your to be home wearing a simple beige sweater, a pair of brown fabric pants and a fuscous scarf complimenting his look. He almost knocked you off your feet when he gave you a smile. To add insult to injury after you invited him in, he praised how beautiful the iterior was.
Vincent was absolutely awestruck at how well you maximised the tiny space you've prepared for your soon to be roommate. He immediately agreed to live in the house with you.
To be frank you knew you didn't have a chance with him, to say the least. He kept talking about Sandra like she was the second coming of christ so you decided to just let it go. Vincent thruthfully didn't mean for all the Sandra talk to come off like that, but his adoration for the womant didn't have boundaries.
With time though, he subsided. He mentioned her less and less and instead replaced talking about her with you. He would constantly initiate conversations only for them to falter as you were both too shy to continue talking. What also came with time was the comfort of eachothers presence.
For the first few months he spent most of his time at work or at his desk, not exiting the room for hours on end. Then he started working in the living room or at the kitchen table always hoping you would get out of your room to get a snack or to use the bathroom. Once you've gathered the courage to ask him if you could join him Vincent beamed.
"Of course!" He said almost too enthusiastically. Vincent couldn't focus on his work when you were around, he would constanly steal glances at you and try and start a conversation with you seemingly tired of his endless paperwork.
You welcomed his advances hoping they were more than just friendly small talk. For now though you both were comfortable just existing in your presence. He promised himself he wouldn't fall for a whim again. Maybe, just maybe if you were to make the first step he would break the promise?

„I want to come too!” Whipping his head around, Jimin was suddenly wide awake. The chance of seeing the sleepy state the girl was most likely in sounded just too good to pass up.
Shooting up from his seat, he rushed after his eldest hyung, taking the stairs two at a time. Hearing light snickers in the background. Meanwhile, Yoongi went back to the kitchen.
While waking up the omega did sound pleasing to his ears just as much as anyone else's, he knew that the girl could potentially be very grumpy and just want to go back to bed right away. A sure way to keep her up was a nice, filling meal that would warm her right back up.
He knew how annoying it was to leave the warm sheets on in the cold winter mornings. So he turned on the stove and started heating up the vegetable broth, stirring it occasionally while he prepared her a bit of kimchi fried rice.
He wasn't sure just how sensitive her belly was, and he hoped that the spice wouldn't be too much and wouldn't upset it. Listening to the TV play a documentary about the history of Egypt, he hummed softly to himself.
„I didn't know anyone sleeping for longer than hyung existed.” Teased the youngest, making Hobi burst out in loud laughter. The others chuckled too, agreeing.
„It's normal for omegas to sleep in if they feel safe. It's like a compliment; she feels settled here. That's a really good thing.” answered Namjoon, still typing on his MacBook, smiling at the thought, happy that they finally managed to calm you down a bit.
Standing near the guest room door, the two alphas quieted down. Slowly opening it, they calmly stepped into the dark room. The heater was on, so it felt cosy and warm inside. The guest room was pretty plain but still nicely put together.
The big window has rectangular glass panes with a black metal grid in between with long, heavy fabric curtains that stopped just about five centimetres above the parquet floors. There was a wooden dresser with dark knobs in the left corner of the room, and a big, spacy bed pushed up against the wall with the window. A bedside table had a cream-coloured lamp on it and a glass of water Hobi carried there yesterday evening.
A few plants were littered across the room too, some placed on the ground and others hung up above the window. The pack alpha loved gardening, even if he didn't get around to it too much with how hectic their idol's life often got.
They had a large garden behind the house with a terrace facing it, so they sometimes had a barbecue there too, when the weather allowed it. Namjoon took good care of all the plants there. During the spring to early autumn, he made sure to water them all, and once it got colder, he covered all the plants that were too fragile for the first frost bite.
A short flower placed next to the lamp that grew only to about 11 cm tall, with solid azure petals decorated with azure dots and a light grey central disc. Five small flower blooms grew on alternate sides along the length of the stem. It carried a faint scent that smells like rainy days, cleverly placed to bring peaceful sleep.
It must have worked at least slightly, given that the girl was still long asleep and breathing calmly and slowly. Cuddled up in the heavy duvet, covered with dark grey sheets that Jungkook recently bought, Your face was facing their way, your cheeks rosy with sleep, and your long lashes casting shadows.
Cooing softly, Jin stepped closer to your curled-up body. Just next to your face was the soft, brown hoodie, held close by you. Lightly shaking your shoulder, the older alpha started waking you up, not wanting to startle you.
„Cub.., baby, wake up, come on..” mumbling the words softly, he squatted down so he didn't have to bend so much anymore. Pretty much face-to-face with you, he watched carefully how your eyes fluttered open before closing back up again. Light shone in the room suddenly, the curtains pulled wide apart by Jimin, who stood looking outside for a minute. It was still snowing heavily, and the garden in view was completely covered in the soft, pattering snowflakes that had fallen long before.
Turning to also gaze at the small omega, he smiled, his eyes almost closing up. Giggling softly at how you whined at the sunlight, you curled up into yourself more. Walking back around the bed, he took a seat at the bottom of the mattress, caressing your legs.
When you made no move to wake up fully, the eldest once again softly rubbed your shoulder, cooing at how you hid your face in the jumper instead, softly protesting. You weren't ready to get up yet; why did they keep on bothering you? After so many years of not resting properly, you decided to take back all the time you could have rested but lost due to insomnia.
Pulling the sheets off of your shoulders, you weren't quick enough to roll out of the way before strong hands took a hold of your underarms, pulling you up against wide shoulders. Whining about the lost comfort, your fingers hung up on the shirt the alpha was wearing, your bleary eyes hardly even open. Too tired to kick up a bigger fuss, you just lightly kicked at your legs, earning a soft chuckle in return.
Brushing your fluffy bed hair, the younger alpha sighed out in relief. They were slightly worried that you would start to cry at the loss of the warmth, but you seemed to be just mildly annoyed. Your chin rested up against Jin's collarbone, and you gazed at Jimin while the eldest stood back up with you in his arms. Softly holding your tired body up, he walked with you out of the room, the other alpha following closely, keeping his eyes set on you. He knew the man holding you up would never allow you to drop, so he wasn't too worried, but with how cute and sleepy you looked, he couldn't help but stare.
The calm morning carried on after you were placed on the chair at the kitchen table. Rubbing your eyes with a fist, only to have it pulled away suddenly, you looked up just to meet Yoongi's cat-like eyes.
„Don't do that, kitty; it's not good for you. Here, I've warmed up some soup for you; come on, have some. It's hot still; you need to blow lots and lots, okay? Don't burn yourself, kitten.” handing you a large wooden spoon and a steaming bowl, you nodded slightly before slurping up a bit. Being careful with the heat, you made sure to blow before taking another spoonful.
With the warm broth in your belly and Yoongi watching closely over you, you were soon handed another glass of juice, this time made with oranges. Taking your bowl away for you, your feet brushed up against the floors, only now realising you didn't have any socks on. The rest of your clothes were the same as yesterday; you were glad they didn't change you, letting you be. It would definitely be more uncomfortable.
While you felt a bit awkward, suddenly realising your situation, it felt easy to let up and go with how the pack reacted to you, fully slipping into the dominant second gender they were assigned. Your soft nature just easily fitted right in.
Even though the pack was formed a few years ago and the boys did have a strong bond, that didn't mean they didn't sometimes argue here and there. It was mostly small stuff that resulted in them making up quickly. Still, with how touch starved they were and with how few occasions they actually had to talk with lower-ranking second genders, it was a relief to finally have someone to take care of and be responsible for.
Namjoon was used to taking on all their worries and troubles, but this still felt a lot different, like filling up a hole in their body they didn't know really existed until it was gone.
Omegas were highly appreciated and precious in most packs, with the rarity they brought making them considered even more special. Not all packs could have an omega, and it was common that even when a possible one was found, they just didn't settle in well with the packmates and had to leave.
Placing a small plate before you, the kimchi fried rice smelled delicious. A fried egg placed on top that was already cut up in bite-sized pieces for you, you dug right in. You weren't too hungry anymore, but you still wanted to eat it because of how delicious it seemed.
„Be careful, pup, it could be a bit too spicy for you. Slow down, don't choke." Said Taehyung, who just passed by to fill himself a cup of water. Your eyes didn't stay on him for too long. You were occupied with the food before you, and you intended to keep your focus fully.
The enoki mushrooms made a soft, crunchy sound, and while the food was made with only a small amount of spices, it really did feel just a little too hot for you. Biting into the egg that was salted just enough, you nodded with satisfaction. You only had a few bites before you pushed the plate away from yourself; not only were you full, but it really did burn your tongue quite a bit.
„Are you full already?” Looking at the alpha's face while he crouched down next to you, rubbing your knee in light circles. Meekly nodding, you felt a bit bad leaving so much of leftovers.
„That's okay. You can say anything anytime if anything isn't okay, yea? Do you understand my kitty?" Softly voicing his concerns, you looked into his eyes shortly before you mumbled a yes.
Being met with a gummy smile wasn't really what you were expecting for not finishing a meal, but it felt nice. You never met a pack that was so compliant with your needs and wants and patient like they were.
Pulling the chair out next to you, he slid the plate to himself, starting to eat your leftovers. He didn't bother to change the cutlery either; already used to sharing pretty much everything with his packmates.
You sat next to him still, your eyes occasionally closing in tiredness. The kitchen was to your left; your back turned to the living room, where some of the alphas were. Sometimes when they walked by, they left an occasional rub and pat on your head, greeting you sweetly and asking about your sleep.
Yoongi picked up a piece of egg, the part he considered the tastiest—the fried-up corners dipped in the still runny egg yolk—and with a hand underneath, careful not to burn you, he blew on it softly before encouraging you to eat it yourself. Quickly convinced, you chewed calmly.
„There you go, baby, it's tasty right? You want some more?” Cooing at how your eyes watched him closely, he took another bite-sized piece and held it up for you. „Of course you can, here kitty, slowly."
Watching your reaction, the alpha in him felt good about providing for you. It was something greatly satisfying for him—for all of them, to see you trust them enough to let them feed you, hold you, and keep you around. They valued the trust you allowed them greatly, keeping you close and safe at all times.
Once he finished your leftovers and fed you the last bite, he stood up to clean up, taking your now empty juice glass to put in the dishwasher for you. Getting up, you pattered towards the others, hesitating a little, not sure where to sit or even if you should sit with them. You had no idea what was going to happen in the future.
It was the pack alpha who noticed you the earliest, turning in his seat and smiling widely with his dimples showing. He had a pair of glasses on that were yellow-tinted with black top framing and bare wires at the bottom. His longer black hair styled into a shorter mullet-like hairstyle, with a few hair strands touching his forehead, made him look put together. The pyjamas he kept on earlier in the day were also exchanged for an earth-green crew neck and baggy jeans.
„Come here, pup, sit here. Come on, the movie is starting soon; hurry!” lightly ushering you along, your feet moved before you knew it, and soon you were resting on the couch between him and Jin.
The eldest ran his fingers through your hair, taming it down further. Sitting with your knees pulled up to your chest, you watched the screen before you. Some of the alphas weren't there at the moment, but they did walk by from time to time. When Jimin took a seat next to the eldest man, he gave you the brown jumper again; you must have left it back upstairs in your room, and he came to carry it downstairs for you.
Understanding that you still weren't truly out of your anxious and worried headspace, they were still trying to keep you as calm as possible. Having you cry like you did yesterday felt like torture to them, making them want to prevent it from ever happening again.
„Here sweetheart. Keep it close now.” He muttered while you held it to your nose, breathing in. It still smelled really clean, with only the slightest hint of vanilla and citrus. It felt calming.
The movie captivated your attention eventually, only slightly boring in the beginning. Whenever you started to fidget and move around more, they were quick to soothe you. Joon always easily pointed out something interesting in the movie, like the cleverly done product placement, a book he knew the author of, or the paintings hung up in the background of the shot.
„It's Cézanne; he painted that one.” You pointed your finger at the screen where a main character was currently talking about the prodigy he held. There, behind him in a simple brown frame, was a painting of tulips on a vase, their bright red blossoms contrasting with the forest green of the glass jar. While the movie had an interesting story, you were more focused on the small details regarding his so-called prodigy.
„Really? Wah,” said Jin from next to you. The four alphas sitting with you focused on the screen just until the painting was cut off from the screen.
„What a smart cub you are, baby. It is his; you are right.” I approved the pack alpha, smiling proudly at you. You felt your cheeks heating up slightly, so you were quick to look away. Mumbling about how it's not that big of a deal, you squeezed your palms around the fabric you held.
In the corner of your eye, Taehyung typed the artist's name into Google, quickly finding the tulip painting he made.
„Oh, he was good; look, Hyung." Showing the screen to the alpha next to him, Jimin leaned in as the other man scrolled through the photos of his other art.
„He was a French, a postimpressionist artist, so the photos don't really show what he made well. The brush strokes are what you are meant to focus on, and with how flat it looks on the screen, it doesn't really work. He was a big inspiration for the cubism movement later on too,” you said, while looking over Jin at Tae's phone.
„You know a lot; do you like art?” asks Jin while softly petting your hair. You smiled, almost laughing at the question; it felt a bit silly to you.
„Yea, I study at an art school. I've been making art since I was really young.”
That caught their attention for sure, with how quickly their eyes turned to your face. In the morning, they collectively decided that it would be best for them not to ask why there was no pack alpha huffing at their entrance doors yet; after all, if you had a pack and didn't spend the night there, especially without discussing it before hand, it was going to make them worry for sure.
At least they knew that they would worry for sure.
But still, nobody knocked. They didn't see you pull out your phone even once, and they weren't sure if you even had it on you. You didn't smell like any other alpha or beta thought, so they were left in questions.
Whatever caused you to get so unsettled yesterday concerned them, but they didn't want to push you to tell them. If you wanted to open up to them, you would.
„Really? Which college?”
„Korea National University of Arts.” You answered the pack alpha quietly.
„Oh, I heard of that one; do you like it there, cub?” Tae shot up, looking at your face closely. Nodding hesitantly, you thought about your answer for a few seconds.
„Yea, it's okay.” You smiled softly. You were glad you could pursue the arts, and while not all your classmates were nice and some teachers gave you a hard time sometimes, you were able to learn a lot. And that was what mattered.
„What's your major?”
„I study fine arts.” You said, looking up at Jimin. Holding the jumper closer, they sensed you had enough questions for now and focused back on the movie. Even when it finished, the five of you stayed huddled close together on the couch, only getting up a few times and coming back again soon.
With a nagging question on your mind, it was complicated for you to focus on the cooking competition, and so you carefully leaned closer to Namjoon, lightly touching his forearm. Looking over at you quickly, he didn't take long to notice something was on your mind that made you anxious, and so without little to no hesitance, he pulled you to his side.
Leaning over slightly so he was face-to-face with you, the soft smell of flowers blooming covered the air around you. Calming you just the slightest bit, his hands held your shoulder and side, rubbing faint circles with his palm.
„What is it, pup? You can tell Alpha; don't worry, okay? What's wrong, little baby?” With the sweet words, you almost burst into tears once again, surprised at how sensitive you still were after yesterday. You felt startled.
Looking down, and when you didn't answer for a few seconds, the pack alpha pulled you to his chest once again. With your hip resting against his thigh, he held your other one, softly patting it in a rhythmic pattern. His other hand pulled your face close to his chest, where it was easy to listen to his heartbeat.
„Hm? Poor cub, you keep on getting stressed out over and over again; there isn't much time to rest up, is there? It's okay, I got you now." Cradling you up against his chest, he allowed you to sniffle for a few minutes and didn't push you to talk. With your legs getting carresed and placed over the eldest's lap, you eventually asked the thing that had worried you since yesterday dinner.
„When do I have to leave?” You mumbled, a whimper leaving your throat. It was quiet for a beat or two, the pack alpha just holding you close.
„That's up to you, cub. You are free to leave whenever you feel like it. You can stay too if that's what you want; we wouldn't mind.” answered Namjoon calmly, but you weren't fooled. His heartbeat fastened up for a bit there, and you noticed.
„I would like to stay please..”

Relaxing and having fun are two verbs which do not exist in his dictionary. He may be stoic all the time but just like any ordinary being he also wishes, no, yearn to be with you. To melt in your arms, away from the worries and darkness of the world.
"Blade, look ! it's raining. " you two were currently on a mission. The streets at the moment were empty so for two wanted people it was safe, for now. He humed looking at the sky "we should get a nearby shelter. It is poring outside" and just as he was about to find one, you pulled his arms and led him into the rain. "oh come one we don't get opportunities like this. Streets empty, and a rainy day." He loved you from deep within but showing those affections in the right way were a task for him. However, you bright smile in this dark world were a beacon of light for him.
A smile escaped from his lips, a pure smile and lovesick eyes. He held you hands and said "since you asked for it, stay close to me darling". Romancing with you freely without any worries seemed like a far fetched dream but what he wouldn't do to relive these again.
— JING YUAN
It was a holiday and surprisingly the General was not running to and fro and was comfortably dozing off on your lap. The sky was overcast with dark clouds and thunder could be heard off in the distance. Rain wasn't really a common occurrence in the Luofu but you couldn't really ignore the skip of your heart. Dancing and playing in the rain were your favourite activities. Jing Yuan noticed your longing eyes "if you really want to go outside then you should do it. " to which you replied "oh well I can't waltz by myself now I'll need someone to accompany me" "I'd rather sleep" now you knew your greatest weapon against him was puppy eyes. He begrudgingly agreed to your whims.
The rain started, and he did not like getting soaked wet, and he truly wanted to go inside but your enthusiastic smile were priceless. He didn't really have the heart to tell you to go back just because he didn't like the rain. Afterall rain like these were indeed few and far in-between.
You twirled and followed the footsteps of your lover, the pure look of adoration on his eyes and the dreamy scene was enchanting. Oh, how much he would travel galaxies just to make memories with his love.
— DAN HENG
He barely shows few emotions but with you and his family he feels one and whole. The sky was grey indicating a downpour and the streets were soon starting to get emptied because of the incoming rain. You lover as usual was going through research papers and telegraph which go into detail about the opponents found in the present planet.
The weather soon started to get cold enough and what better way to get warm other than your own boyfriend hugging you close and cuddling you until you get warm and snuggled good. "um babe don't you think it's quite cold now?" "well it is indeed cold dear" "so I'm cold right?" "grab a blanket then". Sometimes he acts as if he doesn't understand what you are trying to hint at but today it was especially quite cold because of the rain. " *sigh* fine fine I'll join you" you did you happy dance of victory and got ready to cuddle him.
He pulled you close to his chest and patted your head. The patter of rain and the soft heartbeat of your lover lulled you to sleep. The warmth only further had you drift off into slumber. He kissed you on the forehead. "goodnight my star" and also let sleep take over his form.

Many people say that life is wonderful and full of happiness. But is it true? No matter how hard you try, everyone will blame you for everything. They'd rather stab you in the back than forgive you. But it's his fault, right? It's all because of him. If it weren't for him, everything would be fine...
Six years earlier
Scaramouche, Heizou and Kazuha went to the bridge that was forbidden to enter. Boys loved to get involved in such activities, regardless of whether they were dangerous or troublesome. They did it all so they wouldn't get bored. They loved entertainment.
"I'll catch up with you anyway, Heizou!" — Young Scaramouche shouted furiously from a distance, chasing Heizou who tried to run away seeing Scaramouche running towards him but was caught by him and pulled back. Kazuha in the distance, who was walking towards them, laughed slightly to himself as he saw his friends rolling on the ground.
"It will hurt if we jump from this height." — Kazuha stated looking down at the water. Scaramouche looked where he was and smirked as he finally let go of Heizou who was trying to get some air — "Then you jump first, Scara."
"Yeah, that's right!" — Heizou agreed as he stood up from the ground, brushing off some of the dirt. Scaramouche just rolled his eyes and crossed arms.
"You'll never know if it hurts if you don't try." — With these words, Scaramouche jumped off the bridge, ignoring the surprised screams of his friends. After hitting the water, he quickly surfaced to take a deep breath. He felt pain as his adrenaline wore off, but he decided he not to tell them it hurt.
"Did it hurt?" — Heizou asked, shouting so that Scaramouche could hear him clearly — "Not at all! Come on guys!"
Kazuha looked suspiciously, not really believing Scara's words, but when he was about to warn Heizou, he was already standing on the edge and jumped with a scream. Kazuha facepalmed but he put his bag aside so it wouldn't get wet in the water, he knew that his friends wouldn't let him live if he didn't do it and jumped into the water.
"That hurt, you idiot!" — Heizou exclaimed as he emerged from the water with Kazuha who was trying to get the leaves out of his hair. Scaramouche just stuck out his tongue at him and swam towards the shore to get out of the water. The weather was warm so they weren't too worried about getting sick. They took their things and headed towards Scaramouche's house.
"Damn, I forgot to take my shoes off." — Scara complained under his breath when he saw the condition of his shoes, they were dirty and soaked.
"They are really dirty, man." — Assented Heizou who was walking behind with his hands in his pockets. Kazuha raised his eyebrow at his friend's shoes — "Do you really want to go home like that? These aren't the new shoes Ei bought you?"
"Yeah, I mean I'll leave them outside and dry." — He answered him without really caring about it. Even if Ei complained about him, he would ignore it. It wasn't that he didn't have a good relationship with his mother, but they weren't particularly close either.
They tolerated each other.
Scara shook his head to stop thinking about it and started walking a little faster when he saw his home. Scaramouche opened the front door to his house, or rather to the hairdressing salon that his mother ran, which was connected to their house.
"Hello, Mrs. Reiden!" — Kazuha and Heizou said at the same time, smiling like angels. The indigo-haired boy just waved his hand in greeting, not really wanting to talk.
"Welcome back, boys." — Replied calmly Ei, who was trimming her client's hair. Scaramouche's mother was very pretty, with long purple hair tied in a braid, shining purple eyes and light makeup. Scara took any leaflet he came across, pretending he was interested — "Do we have any snacks?"
"There's some in the fri-" — After seeing what the boys looked like, Ei immediately stopped talking. They were soaked and dirty, with a few leaves and small twigs sticking out of their hair. The condition of their clothes looked much worse because they were covered with dirt. Scara just looked at her questioningly when she stopped talking.
"How did you get so dirty? Next time use the back door, boys." — Ei said slightly annoyed as she saw dirty water leaking from them onto the floor, both customers just laughed as Ei scolded them and the boys looked down in shame, except for Scaramouche.

"The 41st daily daredevil contest?" — Ei asked confused as she threw the towel towards Scara who glared at her as the towel hit in the face. Kazuha was sitting on a chair in the kitchen with a cup of water in his hand and Heizou was eating some chips he found, they both had towels tied around their bodies.
"We do this every day after school." — Kazuha announced, drinking the last drops of water from his cup. Heizou nodded in agreement with a proud smile — "Today we jumped off the bridge into the river."
Scara who was drying his hair with a towel just rolled his eyes when he saw Heizou bragging to his mother.
"You guys should stop playing such dangerous games." — Ei said as she crossed her arms looking at them in disbelief — "You two don't have to hang around that idiot if you don't want to, you know?"
Scara just looked at her furiously and threw a wet towel towards her which she caught so he looked away, looking out the window so as not to look at her.
"It's okay, Mrs. Reiden." — Heizou responded, giving Kazuha some chips, which he gladly took. Ei just shook her head and turned her attention to Scaramouche's shoes — "Your shoes are all muddy."
He turned his attention to her and when he was about to answer, she grabbed his cheeks and looked at him annoyed — "Sheesh! Next time you will wash them yourself Kuni!"
Heizou tried not to laugh when he heard Scara's mother call him but he failed so he burst out laughing and Kazuha just chuckled lightly. Scaramouche felt embarrassed and pushed her slightly away from himself as he ran towards the stairs — "I told you not to call me that, you old hag! Die!"
Ei just sighed annoyed and went back to her work. Heizou and Kazuha looked at each other confused but they shrugged and followed Scara who had already gone upstairs.
Scaramouche's room wasn't very clean, but it wasn't very messy either. The two boys sat in different places reading books and Scara played a game on his console to avoid getting bored.
"Where's the next book, Scara?" — Asked Kazuha who was trying to find the book but couldn't.
"In my sister's room." — Scara got up and walked towards his sister's room only to find her on the ground sleeping. He just shrugged and took the book from the table while leaving her room to let her sleep.
"Here." — He handed Kazuha the book who mumbled thanks and began to read. Scaramouche sat back on the floor and continued his game.

The school day was like any other day. The girls were talking to each other, gossiping about things and the guys were causing some problems. Suddenly, Sucrose walked in and shyly cleared her throat to get her class's attention. She was a shy girl but that didn't stop her from being the class representative.
"Big news everybody...! I heard that a transfer student was going to join our class." — She informed and most of the girls ran up to her to ask about the new student.
"For real?!"
"Yes, I heard Mr. Diluc talking about it in the in the faculty office."
"I wonder if it's a girl or a boy, what do you think Scara?" — Kazuha questioned him while he was just playing with a pencil, not really interested in the new student.
"Who cares? Girls are boring and other boys are losers." — He answered and Kazuha only sweat dropped seeing that his friend was not very happy about the fact that there would be a new person in the class.
Scaramouche was the type of student who didn't pay attention in class but was still able to answer questions he was asked, which is why he got bored quickly and he hated this. He was not interested in any of the things that were discussed in the lesson, he preferred to do something else. So, after school, he went with others to another bridge to jump into the river.
"Woohoo!" — Heizou exclaimed as he jumped into the river with Scara, creating a big splash. Heizou accidentally put some water in his mouth so he started coughing when he tasted it. Scaramouche looked up at the bridge where Kazuha stood looking at them.
"Why don't you jump?" — Scara asked and Kazuha let out a small "huh". When Heizou finally stopped coughing, he also looked at Kazu — "Are you afraid?"
"Oh... Well, actually... From now on, I'm out." — Kazuha replied to them as he rested his chin on his hand looking at trees. The boys looked at him confused, not knowing why the sudden change occurred.
"Didn't I tell you I started cram school?" — A small "nerd" from Scaramouche could be heard in the background, to which Kazuha sighed heavily and he put on his backpack — "We'll be in high school next year, so I want to prepare."
Kazu said goodbye to them, but when he was about to leave, he suddenly heard the boys shouting — "Hey... It's a cat!"
Kazuha quickly turned back and looked out to see the cat Scara was pointing at. The cat licked its paw, it had white fur and blue eyes.
"Let's catch it and keep it as a pet!" — Heizou announced and Kazuha's eyes lit up, looking at the cat. He quickly took off his backpack and shoes to jump into the water.
When they caught it, Kazuha happily carried the cat in his arms and stroked behind its ears, causing the cat to make a purring sound.
"Let's name it!" — Heizou exclaimed as he stroked the cat's head. Scaramouche looked away from them and noticed that the place where his shoes should have been was not there — "Where are my shoes!?"
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
"Are you sure you looked for them properly?" — Ei questioned him, looking at her son who gave off an evil aura — "Yes! I looked for them for two whole hours! I even jumped into the river that's why I'm so wet!"
"You can be kind of absent-minded, Scara. Someone probably stole them when you're not paying attention." — And it was Mona Megistus who spoke. These two didn't like each other, they always called each other names or made stupid pranks at some point — "Shut up, witch! What are you doing here anyway? Couldn't you go to another salon?!"
"Kuni!" — Ei hit him on the back of the head, Mona laughed under her breath and stood up with her hair down — "It's fine Mrs. Reiden."
Scara almost started to push her out of the salon to get her out of there if it wasn't for Ei who grabbed the back of his shirt and looked at Mona with a small smile — "Thank you for coming."
"Of course Ma'am!" — Mona waved to Ei, giving Scaramouche a look and sticking her tongue out at him, which made the boy start shouting at her, but Ei covered his mouth with her hand.
When Mona left, Scara quickly got away from Ei and went towards the regiment to take a few books with him.
"This is probably the worst day of my life. Stupid witch." — Scara mumbled to himself, but when he noticed that there was another customer in the living room, he immediately stopped talking and sighed deeply.
"Welcome." — Scara greeted the customer painstakingly who was sitting on a chair with a hair catalog covering her face, all he could see was [ hair color ]. Noticing that the client wasn't going to answer him, he made an irritated sound, saying something about people not having respect anymore. He decided to leave this person alone and go to his room where Kazuha and Heizou were waiting for him.
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
"Aren't these your shoes, Scara?" — Kazuha handed him a photo that showed a boy with shoes that looked awfully similar to the Scaramouche shoes that had been stolen from him. Heizou crossed his arms and leaned against the car parked in front of the hairdressing salon, looking at the photo.
"Yes, that's them, who is this guy?" — Scara asked him as he handed the photo back to him — "A guy from 2nd elementary I go to cram school with. He started wearing them right after yours went missing, and when I asked if he had stolen them, he quickly ran away."
"I see..." — Scara started to think about a plan when suddenly he felt Heizou's hand and grinning. Scaramouche only raised his eyebrow, allowing him to speak — "I have a plan!"
It was a hot day, which bothered Mona terribly. She took her water and when she was about to drink, she heard a boy yelling at everyone to get out of his way. Mona smirked and walked over to him as he stood, wiping his face with a towel.
"Umm... Excuse me" — The boy turned towards her and looked at her questioningly — "A teacher told me to carry some things, but they are very heavy, can you help me?"
Mona smiled angelically at him, making a boy blush slightly and nod in agreement. Mona clapped her hands and showed a boy where things were.
On the other hand, Scara, Kazu and Heizou waited patiently for Mona to bring a boy. Kazuha was leaning against the wall with Heizou. They were hidden around the corner of the school on the stairs outside where no one was because everyone was going to their own class.
"Are you sure you can beat him?" — Kazuha asked his indigo-haired friend who was impatiently looking around to see if a guy or Mona was coming. Heizou turned his head towards them and looked at them surprised.
"Beat him? But that wasn't in-"
"Shh" — Scaramouche shushed him and then he noticed Mona leading a boy behind her, he quickly positioned himself, alerting his friends. Scara blocked the passage for the boy, who frowned as he met his gaze.
"Give back what you stole." — The boy just crossed his arms smirking.
"What if I don't?" — This only made Scara more angry and he punched the boy in the face, causing the boy to lose his balance and fall onto the dirty ground. Scaramouche took this opportunity, roughly grabbing him by shirt to punch him again but Kazuha quickly grabbed his arm shaking his head. Scaramouche just shrugged and put his hands in his pockets, walking away from his friends who were calling him. He no longer cared about his shoes, he just wanted to go home.
The next day, Scaramouche decided to skip school and went to the bridge where he met Kazuha and Heizou talking to each other.
"Are you doing anything today?" — Scara asked as he stood in front of them. Heizou started to think and Kazu nodded.
"Yeah, I'm going to cram school today. I skipped too much so have a nice day guys." — He passed them, waving goodbye. Scara looked away from him and his eyes met Heizou's.
"So it's just us." — At this, Heizou shook his head, making Scaramouche look at him strangely — "Sorry Scara, but I'm out today."
Heizou patted his shoulder as he started to walk away, leaving Scaramouche standing alone on the bridge with no one around. He frowned and hand clenched his hand into a fist. It wasn't like he had to be with someone all the time, he didn't mind being alone, but something made him dislike this idea. And so he spent the whole day alone, playing or reading books in his room, but soon he started to get bored. Lying on the bed with a book, he turned his head to look at the time and saw that only 30 minutes had passed. He sighed heavily and put the book aside, thinking that tomorrow would be a better day.
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
Scaramouche sat in his seat, constantly clicking on his pen. There was a change of seats so his chair and desk was next to Mona who was not happy about it.
Neither did he.
Their teachers entered the classroom. Mr. Diluc who had beautiful red long hair that was styled in a ponytail, his eyes matched his hair and he was wearing typical clothes that teachers wear, a white shirt with a collar, a black tie and elegant trousers to match the shoes.
"Listen everyone. Today a new student will join us." — Everyone in the class started getting excited and whispering to each other, Scara just rolled his eyes ignoring it all. A girl with [ hair color ] hair entered the classroom, her [ eye color ] eyes were looking down at her legs. Mr. Diluc lightly tapped her on the shoulder, causing the girl to start taking out a notebook from her backpack. This slightly intrigued Scaramouche so he finally looked at what was happening, putting his pen aside. The girl opened her notebook and showed it so that everyone could read what was written there.
«My name is [ Last Name ] [ First Name ]. It is nice to meet you.» — This made everyone look at each other in confusion, Scara rested his chin on his hand as he read — «I would like to get to know everyone through this notebook.»
«When you want to talk to me please use this notebook.» — She flipped to the next page, causing many gasps.
«I can't hear.»
Scaramouche's eyes widened, he had never met someone who couldn't hear. As if she were from another planet.
"What a weirdo!" — Scara said, not knowing that he said it loud enough for the entire class to hear. Mona looked at him in surprise and then smacked him on the back of the head, causing him to glare at her and mumbled — "Stupid witch."
Mr. Diluc just sighed and then lowered himself to [ Name ] height to show where she will sitting. It was an empty space in front of Scaramouche. The girl began to bow to each person in front of her to greet them, and they gladly did the same. Finally, [ Name ] stood in front of Scaramouche, she smiled at him and bowed, making Scaramouche frown and turn his head away from her. Ignoring it, she sat down in her seat, taking her things out onto the desk.
Scaramouche's gaze returned to her. He didn't know her, but something made him dislike her. Was it because she couldn't hear? What normal person couldn't hear?
She was weird.

Hobie x trans!masc reader
Beach Episode
Tumblr media
tea bee ech this is more for me than anyone else a/n: reader wears a binder, I have no idea the weather in the UK nor the situation with beaches. Honestly I didn't know the UK had beaches until heartstopper. bad accent. not proofread
You and Hobie had been friends for a little while now, and you really enjoyed hanging out with him. So when he asked you if you wanted to go to a small beach with him, you felt your heart sink.
Of course you said yes, you really enjoyed the company, and thought that when push came to shove you could own up to it and go to the beach with, knowing that this wouldn't impact your friendship.
But there was that little voice in the back of your head that said otherwise.
You knew he wouldn't care. He was Hobie for crying out loud, one of the most supporting guys you knew, you've even heard him speak out on issues involving transphobia.
But there was the thought that if he knew, he would treat you differently. He wouldn't rough house you, or tease you about issues that guys would usually tease women about, and the rational part of you chalked it up to him not being a mysgonist, but there was still that doubt.
Hell, there was a chance he already knew.
When the two of you had first met, it was just a normal conversation. Then one of his friends had come up and asked for introduction.
"Oi, yeah, t'is is y/n, and they- uh... actually, mind tellin' me whatcha go by, mate?"
Sure, yeah, it was a bit awkward, but him asking you what you go by instead of if you're a guy or a girl was a green flag.
So now you're sitting in your car, beside the beach that you were supposed to be meeting Hobie at. You were fully prepared to go swimming in your shirt and binder, despite knowing better.
You were pulled out of your thoughts when there was a tap on your window, startling you slightly. You whipped your head to face the window, being greeted by Hobie's shit eating grin, clearly satisfied that he startled you.
You opened your door. stepping out and playfully pushing his shoulder.
"You scared the shit out of me." You said, smiling up at him.
He nodded his head, a satisfied smirk still on his face, "Kinda the point, yeah?"
You shook your head, and the two of you began to walk to the beach. This was possibly the most casual had seen the punk, wearing a t-shirt and shorts, exposing his lanky arms and legs. but you decided not to comment on it.
So now your standing feet away from the water. the rhythmic sound of the waves not helping sooth your anxiety in the way you felt like it should. You hear Hobie set his bag down, and after a second you turn to him, seeing him take his shirt off, and you feel anxiety shoot through you.
"You're really going to swim in your shirt?" He asks casually, tossing his next to his bag as he begins to walk towards you. You know he doesn't mean it in a malicious way, but you can't help the way it only makes it more nervous.
"Yeah, I am. I mean it's just... y'know?" You say, crossing your arms over your chest nervously. You wish that you hadn't said that, because you know that just makes you sound guilty for something, and you feel like your suspicion is confirmed when Hobie raises an eyebrow.
"Mate, if your self conscious, y'know I don' care, right?" He assures, coming a bit closer. I mean, you were, but it wasn't in that way, and you felt like if you agreed, you'd be lying to him. Even if you were, there wasn't many people around.
"No, no, it's not that. It's just..." You began, nervously shifting on your feet. Even if you weren't looking at him, you could feel his expression grow slightly worried, and you panicked even more, feeling like you were making a big deal out of something that really shouldn't be.
You buzzed your lips, trying to fill the silence as you thought of your words. "Y'know, like, I guess I just want to take chances on me getting dysphoric." You said, hoping that the phrasing would be subtle enough that if he didn't know what it meant he would just glance over it.
You turned up to him, and you could see the gears turning in his head. After a second he met your eyes and shrugged.
"I mean, I don' really care, but I get it." He said, giving a small, reassuring smile. You felt your nerves soften slightly, thankful that he wasn't making a big deal of the situation.
You couldn't help but smile back, and you gave him a small nod. "Jus lemme know if there's anything I can do, yeah?" He says, lightly punching your shoulder. You can tell that he's trying to soften the tension, and you felt thankful for it.
"Yeah." You replied softly. You were about to drop the subject and step into the water finally, but your mind darted back to the binder your wearing. You know you're not supposed to get it wet, and the thought of the constriction around your chest getting tighter didn't seem very pleasant.
"Actually..." You began, and you felt bad for taking his attention again, but when he turned back to you, you could tell that he doesn't mind. Hobie was always the person who didn't seem to mind helping people, and you tried to keep that in mind while you talked to him.
"I want to, y'know, do what we came here to do, swim, but I'm kinda... binding." You continued, and you could see that the second the words left your mouth, he was already thinking of a solution.
After a second of him thinking, you were about to tell him to drop it, but he began to speak, "You could always jus' wear my shirt, if ya want, not really scared 'bout gettin' wet. Should be big on ya, if you're worried about tha' sorta thing."
You couldnt help but smile again, and you nodded your head. "Yeah! Yeah. That'd be great." You said, nodding your head again. He smiled back at you and he turned to go fetch you his shirt.
