Cybertronian au where everybot goes through a change in their lives; a complete advancement from their base forms. Although all of which must be triggered.
Primes though, are remade from the planet itself. Be it gems, trinkets, metal, teeth, rocks, or parts taken from other bots. Given or otherwise. Each prime must go on a pilgrimage and find their missing pieces.
To make up for the extra time in this vulnerable state, primes are immune to the cause of their change. So those that tripped into primacy will never take fall damage. One triggered by the lost of a loved one can never die of sparkbreak. So on and so forth.
Orion became Optimus on live television when he was blasted to pieces by the hand of a corrupt prime.
They all thought him dead then. The resistance didn't know that orion never shifted before. Not when orion embodied all his cunning and heart for all to see. Fitting into their group as one of their greatest strategists.
An axe formed from that tyrant in bare raw hands, and was used to hack away the chains that held ori- optimus prime. Blaster fire rained down from the sky but Optimus simply walked away.
They find him blind and half feral and half made of ancient predator pieces after hunting him down across nearly half the planet.
Optimus followed them willingly. (Glad to no longer be perpetually lost™). The moment he stepped into their camp, chaos sounded in more ways than one.
The trinkets and scraps from Optimus' room flew out and settled themselves into Optimus' form. They were given to him an eon ago. Each from his charges and friends, for this war was long enough for the young to join it. It hurts Optimus' spark to think of it even when their gifts fit flush over his protoform. Protecting the smallest and vulnerable places between his hinges.
Optimus reaches to the doohickey bee gave him a lifetime ago, on his chest right above his spark.
The younglings now warriors, they all were, beyond proud for their contribution.
Rachet was less so. Dragging Optimus into the medbay. Raving about "metal mites" and "tetanus", and "for primus sake I've seen where they found those things and you let those things touch your protoform?!!"
Continue to follow Optimus, Megatron and gang as they go around freeing their planet

The always awesome @stratofall006 and I did an art/fic swap and I asked for Earthspark Bumblebee with a sparkling strapped to his chest. I was not disappointed to say the very least LOOK AT HIM!!!
Tumblr media
I was so inspired, in fact, I just had to write a short little something based on the image. Set sometime after Season 1 where Bee and Breakdown have had a bitlet and our beloved Scout is trying to teach his students. I couldn't think of a name for the bitty so just use your imagination.
---
"Kids, my optics are up here."
The five Terrans seated before him in their makeshift outdoor classroom all shrunk upon being called out, but Bumblebee was hardly angry even at the umpteenth interruption. He couldn't blame the kids for struggling to focus, as the tiny bundle strapped to his chest was taking up a sizable chunk of his own attention as well, and they were all struggling to return to the old routine now that he was no longer carrying. Most of his negative emotions were bound up in how delayed Optimus had been in informing him that Breakdown would be needed for a field mission today, leaving him to multitask between teaching and parenting with almost no forewarning...
"Sorry, Bee." Twitch apologized sincerely, big orange optics bringing a soft smile to his face as she tried not to look at the sparkling.
"We really are trying!" Thrash added just as emphatically, making his teacher chuckle in appreciation. If nothing else, their commitment meant a lot to him. The bitlet on his chassis stirred at his laughter, compelling him to look down as her tiny servos flexed for the sky and her stubby pedes kicked in amusement.
"She's just sooo cute!" Hashtag spoke up, saying what they were all thinking. Bumblebee couldn't deny he and Breakdown had produced one of the cutest bitlets he'd ever seen, and that in her harness said cuteness was on full display, rounded frame bouncing in the straps as her optics continued to look around her audience. He was about to try and redirect his class when Hashtag squealed once more at the adorable antics. "Look, she's sticking her tongue out!"
Blowing a messy raspberry for no particular reason, the bitlet quieted when he directed her stubby servo to her mouth, compelling the little one to nom on it. Trying to get the class back on track, the Scout turned teacher turned parent remembered where he'd been interrupted and got back to teaching.
"I know she's cute, but we've got a lot to get through today. Back on topic; the key to remaining undiscovered is to focus-"
"How precious, she's waving at me!" Nightshade interrupted as they clasped their servos together, once more bringing attention to the sparkling. Bumblebee couldn't deny the way they flapped their arms was beyond amusing, and he began to wonder just how on Earth he was supposed to get through his lesson as Nightshade returned the gesture with a polite wave of their claws. "Hello there, little one!"
"Kids-"
"She's waving at me now!" Jawbreaker gushed as the bitlet swapped arms to wave in his direction, compelling Bumblebee to sigh as he completely lost control once more. Not having the energy to keep this up much longer, he considered telling Optimus that unless he wanted the Terrans to fall even more behind on their training, the big bot would start planning to schedule a babysitter when he pulled bots for mission duty. He already knew Breakdown would be handling most of the sparkling related chores tonight...
A tiny sneeze against his chassis brought him out of his dissatisfied quiet, instincts compelling him to check over the sparkling even though he found she had merely had a tickle in her nose. To his students, however, each new action was the most adorable thing they'd ever seen. Their glowing optics told him that a sneeze was no exception.
"Oh my gosh, I got that on film! Let me share it to the group chat!" Hashtag proclaimed as she rapidly tapped away on her tablet, sharing the video with everyone in their circle as the group once more descended into chaos. Sighing as he briefly dipped into the background, the Scout offered a digit to his sparkling and allowed her to chew on it as his students all vied for her attention. Not having the energy to handle much more, he decided to cut his losses and accept that the lesson was done for the day.
"Alright, everyone, let's just... enjoy a day off for now. We'll take it from the top tomorrow." he announced over the din of five excited Terrans, who were now focused on going through the digital album of pictures and videos they'd put together of his sparklings short but precious existence. Not too put off by the chance for a well earned rest, he sat down on a broad stone and allowed the bitlet to continue nomming on his digit, glad that at least one bot was focused on him.

bby bumblebee chptr 6
A tall woman stood in front of Bee with an ever present scowl on her face. A handful of shoeless kids in all white clothes were practicing movements behind her. Bee turned back to Lennox and shook his head. He wasn’t going to put on pajamas and make a fool of himself. He’d rather be at the hands of Starscream.
“Too late, we’ve already paid for you to be here for a month. So you’ll have to tough it out.” Lennox shrugged.
‘That kid just fell.’ Bee watched as a kid kept tripping over his pant legs and then knocked over another kid and like a domino effect they all toppled to the ground. The woman closed her eyes as she heard the commotion and her students started to fight.
“Silence!” She yelled over the noise and the kids got back into their lines. “Jacob, I thought you said your mom got the right sized gi this time.”
“She said I’d grow into them.” The boy that was the epicenter crossed his arms. “I tried to explain it to her, but she said not to argue with her.”
“Alright, alright. Go get the spare out of my office. The rest of you continue practicing.” She turned back to Bumblebee and Lennox. “Is he deaf?” She asked.
“No, he can hear you just fine. He’s just mute.” Lennox answered.
“Ah, I understand. It’s nice to see a parent taking action to help their child’s confidence. I’ve had many kids here come in mute and leave little chatterboxes.” The woman said.
“It has to be some miracle to get Bumblebee to talk. He lost his voice in an accident when he was younger. His vocal chords are all but ripped out.” Lennox explained, motioning Bee to tilt his head up and reveal the gruesome scars around his neck. Bee didn’t really care for his scars. He came to terms with them long ago.
“That would be difficult to restore his voice, but no matter, we aren’t throat doctors and I have a harsh zero tolerance policy on any sort of bullying so rest assured your son is in a safe place.” The woman knelt down to be at the same height as Bee. “Hello, Bumblebee, I am Laura Alves. You may call me Sensei Alves or just Sensei. I’ll be your instructor until you decide to leave my classroom.”
“Alright, Bee, I’ll be back to pick you up in about -”
“We train for two hours a day.”
“Two hours, kid.” Lennox ruffled Bee’s hair and walked out. Bee slumped in defeat as he was left with the angry looking woman and about fifteen other kids.
The first thing she had Bee do was take off his shoes and socks. The floor was cool on his feet, making his toes curl. And then the woman led him into her office and handed him a box with the same white pajamas as the other kids.
“This is called a ‘gi’. It will be your uniform when you come here. It will be your responsibility to bring them back each time. I like to start each of my students with a practice match against me. Don’t be frightened, I’m not going to go all out, my young student. It’s just for me to see your capabilities. Sometimes you kids soak up some knowledge in fighting by watching television.” Laura talked almost as much as Raven. Bee nodded along and made a few clicking noises to let her know he was listening. “After that we’ll decide on the disciplines to start you out with.”
The class was surrounding the mat. A girl with a high ponytail let out a whoop and told the sensei to ‘have his ass’. Laura told the girl to stand in the corner for time out. She looked about Annabell’s age.
“Okay, are you ready, Bumblebee?” Laura asked. Bee nodded, mimicking the teacher’s pose. He took a deep breath and nodded.
Bee was a trained soldier, he wasn’t just a scout. He was the scout for Optimus Prime. Or was the scout for Optimus Prime. He wasn’t going to go down so easily, and he never has. Even when Megatron ripped out his voice box it wasn’t without a fight.
The height difference was like fighting Optimus Prime in his original form. Laura towered over him. He blocked a few blows and threw a punch of his own. This body’s muscles didn’t have the same extreme training as his old one had. This body wouldn’t listen to all of his commands like it was breathing. He hit the floor.
He hit the floor in a matter of minutes.
“That was really good, Bumblebee.” Laura held her hand out to him. He was about to ignore it, but decided not to. He wanted to be angry with the teacher for his defeat. He even wanted to be mad at himself. He couldn’t. He knew how much work and skills he had. He survived in a multi-century old war when a lot of his race was killed out. It wasn’t his fault. It was the decepticon’s fault. It was Knockout. It was Starscream. It was Megatron, who was to blame for this and any future failures of his. This was the first step in making sure he’d be able to make Megatron pay.
With a determined look, Bee threw the first punch to the air along with a group of earth children.
___________
Annabell was hiding from Sarah again and it was up to Bee to find her. It was surprisingly difficult to find one five year old in just a two story house. There were a few places he could instantly cross off his list. Lennox’s office was off limits to anyone who wasn’t ‘physically an adult, don’t argue with me, Bumblebee,’ and Annabell was terrified of the attic storage space. That left a lot of places to cover.
Sarah had started using Bumblebee as her own scout, searching out her daughter. Bee couldn’t deny the fact that he sort of enjoyed this intense version of hide-n’-go-seek. Until today when he searched up and down the normal spots and still couldn’t find Annabell. He took a long look at the office, but still didn’t dare go there first. He walked to the attic stairs, looking up the darkened path to see if he could get a glimpse of the little Lennox.
“Bee!” Annabell popped out of the shadows, giving Bee a heart attack. “Look what I found!” She held out a small violin. Bee’s music teacher had one of these hanging on his classroom walls. She strummed the strings violently. Bee waved his hands to stop her, but it wasn’t fast enough. One of the brittle stings snapped and lashed back at the girl. Her high pitched scream alerted the mother to the mess. Bee tried to see if she was seriously hurt, but Annabell kept pushing him away.
“What’s wrong?” Sarah ran into the hall, oven mitts still on.
‘She found an old violin and the string snapped.’ Bee pointed to the busted instrument he had pushed away.
“Alright, alright. Let’s see the damage.” Sarah said, her voice calming down and coaxed her daughter into moving her hand away from her face. There was a scratch across her cheek, and a little blood was coming out, but nothing that looked too serious. Sarah picked up Annabell and brought her to the bathroom to get cleaned off and a few bandaids where the bleeding was originating.
Bee went back to the hall and picked up the violin. It fit right in his hands. He didn’t touch the strings though. He used to use the lyrics of musicians on the radio for his voice. He could communicate with his team and with Sam by switching through thousands of channels and stations to construct his own thoughts. Or he’d use the radio waves and the makeshift coder Ratchet had fixed him up with. It would translate the thoughts he wanted to speak into binary code and beep it to the world, which was automatically translated by the other transformers. His music teacher keeps saying music had a voice of its own. Even the instruments and their notes could give a message to people.
Bumblebee didn’t know why, but he found himself stashing the violin under his bed. He’d get his strength back with Laura and her class. With Sign Language, he’d have his words back. But with this violin, he’d get his voice back. He’ll move waves of people if it meant crashing on a safer shore.
It wasn’t until after the three ate dinner that Lennox came home from work that day. Ironhide’s loud rumble alerting them to their arrival. The man came through, ruffling both his kid’s hairs and giving them a kiss on the cheek before going to his wife to properly greet her. It had been established after the first week that this process was to take place. Even so, Bee never really got used to the contact. It made his skin tingle and cheeks warm up. He brushed the ‘older’ man away each time.
“What happened to Bell?” Lennox asked, inspecting his daughter’s battle wound.
“She had a fight with your old violin. I told you to throw that thing away.” Sarah said. Bee’s heart started to pound in his chest. He kept his head down, but an eye on the couple.
“Well, I guess it has to go if its already got a body count.” Lennox walked to the attic before Bee could stall him. He came back down with an empty case. “Where is it?”
“Bumblebee said he put it back? Bee, where is the violin?” Sarah asked. Bee shook his head and shrugged. He tried to get his breathing under control.
“Come on, Bee. Go get it.” Lennox’s voice was stern, almost a sprinkle of disappointment could be heard. Bee couldn’t stand when the man was disappointed in him. He shuffled to his room, already uncovering his hiding spot. It hadn’t even been two hours since it was there. His declaration crumbling in his hands. Lennox was at his door, but instead of a scowl, a soft smile was on his face.
‘What?’ Bee asked, hunching his shoulders around the violin.
“Do you want to learn how to play?” Lennox smirked. “Don’t be shy to ask if you want to do something. I know I’m sort of forcing you to take self defence classes, so its only fair for you to do something you want to do.”
Bee nodded his head so fast it almost felt like it could pop off. Lennox laughed, taking the violin from Bee’s hands and walked back into the kitchen. Bee followed, his feet lighter and heart fluttering in excitement. Until it dropped when he saw the instrument in the trash. He ran to get it out, but was stopped by Lennox
“Woah, there. What’s wrong, Bee?” Lennox asked, hands solid on Bee’s shoulders
‘I thought you said I could learn how to play it?’ Bee signed frantically.
“Yeah, but Bee, that one is broken and busted. We can get you a new one.” Lennox explained. Bee shook his head. He hadn’t cried for a week, not since he ran away. And yet here he was, breaking that record.
‘I can fix it!’ He tried to push Lennox away, but again the man was stronger. ‘Please, it can be fixed. Don’t throw it away!’
Lennox made eye contact with his wife. It would be cheaper just to buy a new Violin, he’d probably have to buy a new set of every piece of equipment for it, not to mention he hasn’t touched the thing since he was fourteen, and its been sitting in his childhood treasures ever since in various attics and storage units. The repairs would be expensive. But he also had a feeling Bee was panicking about more than just a broken instrument. How could he explain to the kid that he wasn’t going to throw him away even though he was ‘broken’ when his last family all but decided to do just that?
“Now, Bumblebee. It’s just a violin, sometimes -” Sarah began, but Lennox gave her another look. “Will, you can’t be serious. No, Will- Fine, fine.” Bee trilled happily as he fished the violin out of the trash. Sarah brought the mood down as she told him and Annabell to get ready and go to bed. Bee wanted to fight back, it wasn’t eight yet and so it wasn’t time for that. He had already lost the fight of ‘he’s not technically a child and didn’t need a bedtime’ long ago. Sarah wasn’t having any of it.
Bee was crawling into bed when he realised he had left his blanket in the living room from earlier that day. He tried to assure himself that he wasn’t a child and didn’t need that specific blanket to fall asleep. He had plenty of others he could use. He changed his mind after shifting and shuffling about his bed for half an hour. As he crept out of his room he could hear Sarah and Lennox talking about something. The closer he got to his living room the easier it was to hear.
“- but you’re taking him to his lessons.”
“That’s not fair to Bee.” Lennox shot up. “You know that I keep odd hours for tracking down decepticons. It’s my job. Even if Prime is at an unknown location, Ironhide and I still have that job to do.”
“Then find a more stable one. One that has a less possibility of getting you killed by giant robot aliens. I can’t take care of both Bee and Annabell by myself. And Annabell is our child.” Sarah’s voice was cold steel to Bee’s spine. “If I had to, I’d choose her every time.”
“Bumblebee isn’t some dog, Sarah. He’s a kid too. You wouldn’t seriously just throw him out?” Lennox wasn’t shouting, but he didn’t have too. Bumblebee could see his blanket draped across the same couch these two were having this conversation. He couldn’t bring himself to peel away from the wall’s shadows and get it.
“He’s not a kid, though. He knows it, you know it. I know it. It’s his favorite argument. He loves pointing it out.” Sarah ran a hand down her face.
“You know that isn’t completely true. Sure, Bee has more memories than most eight year olds, but he’s a kid. He’d be helpless on his own. I couldn’t just do that to him.”
“I know. But it just feels like I’m the one taking care of him, while you’re off doing god knows what. My life has been flipped upside down and you seem like none of this ever happened. You get to come home and in an hour or two he’s asleep. Do you know how hard it is to juggle a job, taking care of those two, and learning a whole new language, just so I can understand one of them. You brought Bumblebee home. I wasn’t a part of this decision.” Sarah’s voice was thick and full of tears.
“Stop talking like he’s an expendable animal, Sarah. Yeah, I was the one to decide that Bumblebee doesn’t deserve to be thrown to the dogs. But you said it was fine. You didn’t think it was such an awful idea seven months ago. You can’t turn back around and act like I twisted your arm.” Lennox stood up, pacing the length of the couch.
“I’m just asking you to switch your MOS to give you more time with your family, and make sure you have more time with family.” Sarah stressed.
“I’m not mad about that. I’m mad that you think tossing Bee aside is okay.” Lennox’s voice was like gravel at this point, but still didn’t rise in volume. Bee was choking. He couldn’t breath, his heart was beating and body was burning. He thought he was finally getting along with Sarah. They threw snacks at galra after she helped him with his homework everyday. She taught him how to make cookies last week. She was nice. And she hated him. He couldn’t even run away again, Lennox would be devastated.
“It’s not like I want to. Just make sure I don’t have to make that choice.” Sarah was outright crying now. Bee’s stomach dropped as Lennox promised his wife he’d look into changing jobs. Bee sunk back into his room, foregoing his blanket for tonight. He had others that were just fine.
He couldn’t go to sleep. The conversation ran through his head, bouncing between one ear to the next. An emotionally draining game of ping-pong. And the blue blanket was too scratchy, the green one too large, the one with trucks on it was too puffy. They all lay, kicked off, on the floor. He held his stuffed bunny tight to his chest, the soft ears positioned over his eyes to soak up his tears if they ever decided to spill.
He didn’t move as his door was cracked open. He made sure his breathing stayed even and calm. Soft footsteps approached his bed, and a familiar warmth was draped over his body. Large, rough hands tucked the blanket snuggly around him.
“I won’t let you be thrown away again, Bee. I promise.” Lennox whispered.
With tired hands, Bee found himself signing ‘good night, dad.’
“Good night, kid.”

Transformers Animated: Morning Star: Chapter 07: Priority
Optimus raised his servos in front of his red and black chassis in an attempt to protect both himself and the mechs behind him. His blue optics showed his surprise, but his lips showed nothing but disappointment.
“Greenblade, put that down and then we can-”
“’We’ can back the frag off and let me and my sister go.”
“Greenblade-”
“Don’t you slagging use my name, you damned Prime!”
That seemed to catch the mech’s attention long enough for him to take a step back from the two femmes, realising that the femme before him would fight until her last limb rusted if it came down to protecting her sister, especially from him, the one that had ordered her and her sister to remain in stasis longer than any of them.
“Listen, I know that you’re-”
“That I’m what Prime? Angry? Upset? No, why would I be? After all, it’s not like you had us kept in stasis while all of you moved around like it was no bot’s business or did our pods simply malfunction?”
The expression that appeared on his faceplate was enough to confirm her assumption far before his lips formed the word itself. “No.”
“That’s what I thought,” Greenblade said, a frown of her own crossing her lips as she nudged her sister towards their left where the only door out of the room was an open square archway. “We’re leaving. I suggest you don’t follow us, or we will repay your so-called trust.”
“Greenblade-”
“Shut up!”
Whether he sensed that she had seriously had enough of him attempting to make excuses for the mechs, Optimus bowed his helm reluctantly. “If you would just listen, we could-”
A clean cut against what she assumed to be a ventilation pipe shut the mech up for good. Greenblade didn’t stop to look back at her sister, but she knew her well enough to assume the expression on Blueflame’s faceplate. She was upset, possibly devastated, if her servo on Greenblade’s backplate was anything to go by. As much as she hated to admit it, Greenblade knew how she felt.
During all their cycles in isolation with their parents, neither sister had really had an opportunity to form a bond with any bot outside their circle. Even relationships within the training academy had been denied for Greenblade. The few times she had tried to find friends amongst those the same age as her, her father had swiftly seen to it that the other younger bots knew to stay away. What he told them to convince them of his point, she still didn’t, and most likely would never know.
As the two femmes backed out of the room, Greenblade found one of her servos reaching back around for Blueflame, keeping the slightly shorter femme close to herself. Her sister’s freedom depended solely on her, and she was going to ensure that she was safe, even if it cost her the very spark pounding in her chassis.
She hated to admit it, but she felt like she finally understood her father’s words since the day he told her not to trust any bot, and to only be there for her sister. Blueflame was all that mattered; and all that would ever matter to her, her sister’s protector.
She didn’t need any bot else, neither did Blueflame. They only needed each other, and if she had to cut through the five mechs before them to ensure that, then she would do so gladly with a smile on her lips.
Blueflame must have sensed her willingness to take a couple of sparks to the well of all sparks, because just as Greenblade found herself bending her shin joints to prepare for an attack, Blueflame grabbed a hold of her arm and nearly yanked her back. Greenblade had to grit her dentals to keep herself from snapping at her sister to release her, but right now the priority was to get her to safety. The mechs could wait.
The moment the two of them crossed the threshold, they transformed into their Cybertronian alternate modes, reversed, and sped towards the weakest-seeming area in the building. The door was rolled down, but Prowl must have predicted their route and hit the open mechanism, preventing the femmes from trying to break clean through it.
Greenblade let her engines cool their growling that they worked up when she was preparing to crash into the door, and with a slight adjustment of her sidemirrors, she saw the assumed bot standing near said switch. She didn’t spare him a second glance, whether Blueflame did though, she didn’t know.
They raced out onto what seemed like a highway with various other bots driving along. At first Greenblade hesitated, thinking that the worst was sure to happen, but none of the bots seemed to pay the sisters any mind, so, hesitantly, Greenblade drove onto the road, followed Blueflame, and they drove as fast as they could. Where they were heading, she didn’t know, nor care, as long as it got them to safety.

WHO WANTS A SNIPPET OF A MEGS/OP FIC I ALMOST WROTE ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO?
plus some notes because, like I said, almost wrote it
also, trigger warning for brief mention of rape, nothing explicit
murder too? kinda mild violence?
Also it’s more Megatronus/Optimus Prime....plus, slight time travel.
When Truth is Shattered (hope is built once more)
There's an Uprising, as there always is in a universe such as this. The rebellion is orchestrated by Megatronus being the kickass he is, poet, philosopher, warrior, slave and leader.
Prime is a title passed down via a fancy relic thing referred to as the Matrix of Leadership, but it's not merged with a spark, it's strung on a chain and worn, or usually displayed somewhere. It signifies the authority invested in someone, either individually or a group of individuals.
The Matrix also acts as an activation key for a great many forms of highly power technology that is rumored to have been created by Primus himself for the Original Thirteen Primes to use.
There's a really old bot called Alpha Trion who bestows it, takes it back and is generally the one who handles it, in between the periods of a new Prime or Council of Prime ascending. He's always been there, he's like super old so no one really questions him, his decisions, his impact on their society or anything at all.
Primus is thought to be something like a myth, Unicron as well. Most of their history of the early days of their civilization is a bit spotty, but their current level of technology cannot compete with what they possessed in the beginning and now lack the ability to craft or use.
That’s why the Matrix is a symbol of leadership as it can activate the technology, including the planetary shield, almost all offensive capabilities, several buildings that manufacture everything from basic building components to extremely energy intensive upgrades.
It is acknowledged history that there were thirteen Original Primes, even though only about half of their names are remembered. However all of their greatest deeds were recorded. So you had the Prime of This and That, when their names were lost to time.
So, save for the ruling few, the nobles, the first class and a majority of the second class citizens, things are bad.
Caste system, energon shortage, bad working conditions, (all of these unnecessary, used only as a means to control the populace because tired, hungry and illiterate people don't raise armies to overthrow the government) abuse of rights, those in power staying in power, inheriting power from family members and corruption running rampant through the levels of government.
Megatronus, former slave/miner turned gladiator, poet, philosopher and revolutionary raises his army and storms into Iacon in order to demand change, or put himself in charge. That is his end goal, but he's absolutely going to throw everyone in power into a deep dark hole somewhere if it's the only thing he manages to do.
The Prime in power, arrogant as all get out, challenges Megatronus and loses his head over it entirely. So Megatronus- who is absolutely an “if I can make god bleed” kinda guy, yanks the Matrix from the corpse, throws it down and swings his sword down on it as hard as he can.
Miner, yes? Gladiator, yes? Yes? Very strong, we appreciate his strong, Matrix is strong enough to survive a very long time, but Megatronus is fueled by righteous fury and the rage of a thousand murdered slaves.
Alpha Trion screams in anguished horror as it shatters into fifty thousand itty bitty pieces. No more Matrix of Leadership, no more cheating to get around the systems lock on technology only meant to be worked by a Prime.
Sad day.
That's when everything lights up like the American’s fourth of July and from that light, a large mech in blue and red appears. Nice sleek lines, brilliant paint, very pretty, we also appreciate this. He's very confused, understandably, looking around in shock, bewilderment and some dawning sense of terror. But then he sees Alpha Trion.
Instantly he leaps to his pedes and reaches towards the old bot.
"Alpha Trion? Where- where am I? What- what is going on?"
Alpha Trion gets emotions, surprising for a bot responsible for so much suffering, the way he screamed shocked a great many people.
Megatronus and his high command all decide to observe because a new player has entered the equation and while everyone’s attention is on him, it gives Megatronus a chance to move more people into a better positions.
Optimus is understandably very upset. He yanks his servos out of Alpha Trion’s grasp, ignoring as the bot’s voice turns cajoling and pleading for him to calm down.
Alpha Trion stands before the new mech, servos grasping onto his and gently starts explaining some of the positives of the new Golden Age but that it's been a while since Optimus walked the planet and this is another Golden Age set a lot of Ages after the very first Golden Age.
And Alpha Trion carefully and quickly explains that Optimus was opposed to a thing that the rest of the thirteen primes were going to do and Megatronus decided to remove him because he was standing in the way of their glory, in the way of the greater good of Cybertron. He did not tell the others and ambushed Optimus-
"Megatronus! He- he," his voice dissolves into a static-y keening, digits digging harshly into the undamaged plating of the cover of his spark chamber. "He stabbed me? My spark? My- He?"
(Megatronus and company trade looks and swift messages)
-to which, Alpha Trion stresses, they were all very upset and Megatronus was duly punished-
-and buried his sword into his spark chamber. The others were alerted when Primus intervened to ensure Optimus’s spark didn’t return to Him. But his frame was badly damaged and extreme measures were taken to ensure his survival.
Optimus doesn't take this well and decides to use his optics and turns and starts looking. He's standing in a place that is lavish and incredibly luxurious. There are dead people around him, in shiny and glimmering frames, and then there's a crowd of dirty, misshapen, mismash, ragtag, thrown together bots and he quickly jumps to the correct conclusion: the people are revolting against a corrupt leadership and-
It’s Alpha Trion, shining and dazzling in the soft lights. Alpha Trion who was not a Prime but was granted a similar though lower security level and was treated like family. True, he was fashioned to be an assistant, a helper but this? Sitting in a throne at the right hand of the front of the room?
Optimus jerks his helm around and make optic contact with the largest mech, the one who stands in front of all the others at the head of the revolution.
There’s power in there that- that- reminds him...
Alpha Trion continues talking though and he's explaining that the rest of the Primes came together and fashioned a stasis orb to keep him alive while his frame repaired and his spark recovered. It was expanded and everything that was his was placed inside and then shrunk.
“Why? Why am I alive?”
It hurts that Alpha Trion looks wrecked at the very idea that Optimus shouldn’t be alive, right before rage crawls over his face plates and vibrates the air with the force of it.
He then starts to explain the people that stand behind him- but-
They’re terrorists and murderers, thieves- Megatronus the Name-Thief, who stole the name of the Betrayer who slaughtered the greatest of them!- liars and rabble raisers who started a war for fun, for profit and glory, to tear down the peace Alpha Trion so carefully crafted all these eons.
Megatronus feels denied his right place, demands more resources, more people, more space, more energon that simply isn’t available! He would take what he wanted from the more deserving to fuel his army!
Optimus can’t help the desperate look he makes as he turns back to take in the whole of these ‘terrorists’. They’re all starving and wounded, clearly the forgotten and abandoned and his optics harden as he turns back to Alpha Trion.
“They do not know their place! They should have remained in their caste, they are not worthy to be acknowledged even as third class citizens! They will ruin all I have built!”
That the matrix- which was composed of tech that kept Optimus’s Prime spark and frame alive and well and provided the required security clearance of a Prime to non-Primes so they could operate the tech meant solely for Primes. To some degree anyway. But after such an amount of time, every bit off eeway was explored to its fullest.
To Optimus Prime, this was a horrific abuse of the power that was entrusted in the Thirteen Primes, to govern and observe but never to oppress and destroy their society to this extent!
He opens his intake, but he cannot speak, even as he stares at this mech he once knew, once called friend.
His spark throbs.
Optimus turns once more to- to M- the one who calls himself Megatronus- a mech who bears the name of his murderer, his betrayer, his brother and says nothing. Surely everyone can see the devastation written all over his faceplates.
Alpha Trion makes a noise, clearly intending to speak, but Optimus silences him, overriding his vocal modulator with brutal efficiency. He’s never had to do that before and something hurts.
Megatronus gives a quick rundown of everything that Alpha Trion left out. The hard, cold truth of the matter. Starvation, oppression, murder, the rich get richer and the poor die alone in the dark. The third class citizens are taken and put to work, denied to ability to speak, rights stripped and designations deleted, forgotten until all that was left was a mindless drone, whose sentient mind retreated deep inside.
Sparklings are taken from carriers who were forced from a higher rank of citizen and neither was ever seen again. Sparklings who were considered the property of their higher ranking parent until they reached an age old enough to take an aptitude test to determine what caste they were joining.
Second class and above never moved unless they offended someone on a higher level. The Primes remained Prime until they died or another was chosen.
Cybertron was built on the bodies of the abandoned, those who had no designation and barely counted as citizens, from third class servants, and janitors, to second class traders, scribes, artists, ect, to first class, the rich, privileged and blessed.
Then the Nobles, the elite, the shining jewels of Cybertron, right below the Primes, the rulers.
Optimus feels numb with horror.
He stares and stares and his optics burn even as Megatronus’s blaze. He turns, only last time, one more time to face Alpha Trion.
He allows him to speak in his defense- but- but.
“This was for the greater good, Optimus, my friend, my lord, in order to keep the best and brightest alive, to ensure we would survive as the years passed and we faced a great many challenges. The survival, the endurance of our race, our species was entirely dependent on our ability to unsure what we had went to the most deserving!”
Alpha Trion looks so very sincere, he is entirely genuine in his ever present affection for his long lost friend, but Optimus can barely speak but for the pain in his spark.
“Surely you must see,” Alpha Trion beseeches, “We did it for you, Optimus.”
Clearly expecting his confession to ensure Optimus is firmly on his side, Alpha Trion takes a single step forward, reaching out from the only true Prime left.
Something shatters in his spark chamber and Optimus rises up, slides back and pulls. The Star Saber materializes in his servos in a boom of light and noise, the voice that leaves his intake is terrifying as it thunders through the great hall and echoes throughout the entire city-
“Freedom is the right of all sentient beings!”
It’s wretched out of him, this undeniable truth that seems to have been forgotten so long ago. There is betrayal on Alpha Trion’s face, heartbreak and disbelief.
He doesn’t understand, he did this for you.
Optimus weeps even as he raises his sword.
Of course, this is being recorded and watched across the entire planet because the Iacon nobles and government were absolutely going to use Megatronus's failure and subsequent death as more incentive to keep your helms down, but that really backfired because okay, wow, real Prime- Original Thirteenth Prime who is supporting a Mech named for another one of the Original Thirteen. The Betrayer at that!
Clearly unexpected, but that’s what you get when the nutjob shadow ruling your planet since almost the beginning of time lies.
I also imagine Optimus with glowing optics and sigils on his frame. Maybe communing with Primus and easily manipulating the AllSpark or something, ect, ect.....
Megatronus will not be understanding Optimus at all. It’s like if the Devil came out of Hell and realized all his demons were running amok and starting crying and killing all of them while asking to borrow your couch because he lives in Hell, not Earth.
(and someone forgot to tell you he was pretty)

Thoughts after 12 episodes of TF Victory
So right of the bat this show is more fun and exciting than Masterforce, which I watched before!  The tone is lighthearted and fun, the characters have more interesting, witty interactions and dynamics and the pacing of the episodes is faster and not so slow as Masterforce had been. I am not saying Masterforce is bad for it’s more serious tone, characters and storytelling, just that I enjoyed the contrast to that in Victory. (maybe because I watched it right after Masterforce)
But gotta say the first Victory episode got me really excited! That fight between Star Saber and Deszaras was awesome and it had me thinking: “Yes! Some good fight between bitter enemies, right from the start!” And while I applaud Victory on most aspects, this is were I started getting disappointed. They deliver this fight Star Saber vs Deszaras at the start, but apart from that they are both the kind of leaders I learnt to dislike.
Star Saber is the respected commander and that’s were it ends. He gets respected, he respects his troups, and that’s it.
This a thing I also disliked in some versions of Optimus. Yes, as a person Optimus and Star Saber are wonderful, but as a character in a story they are pretty lame and not compelling.
The versions of Optimus I like are Beast Wars/Beast Machines, TFA and RiD01.  In each show Optimus is more than just the respected leader. In BW he has a more stern personality and gets angry easily. Plus there are a lot of times when his team members do not respect him and go against his orders or push his buttons. Beast Machines Oppy has to deal with a lot of stress and has an arc about radicalisation. TFA Oppy learns to become a good, respected leader and deals with self-doubt a lot + some angsty shit and the fact that there are autobots who dismiss him. RiD01 Oppy’s saving grace is the dynamic he has with Ultra Magnus, the only autobot who challenges and doesn’t respect him as the leader - and that is important for all these Oppys - they have different dynamics with their troups.
I think it’s safe to say that character interactions are really important and giving characters different dynamics makes each character involved more fleshed out and interesting.
And if a character only ever has one dynamic with all characters, it’s just boring. And so far that’s what Star Saber is like.
Only interesting part so far is that he actually is the human Jan’s parental guardian, which, from a meta perspective, is fucking amazing! xD Most humans in TF serve the fantasy “First ones to come in contact with alien robots”, meanwhile Victory’s fantasy is “being adopted by alien robot”, I love it! :>
ANYWAY, even that aspect doesn’t really save Star Saber from the boring. (especially because his dynamic with Jan is just the same one he has with the rest of the autobots)
Star Saber is at least better than Deszaras because he actually does shit on screen - so lets talk about Deszaras and why he sucks!
It’s the same thing I disliked in RiD01 Megatron - he doesn’t do anything! He just sits on his throne and lets the others do everything, including coming up with plans! (he had like one maybe)
I keep going back to this, but it bears repeating: G1 Megatron is one of the best Megans, because he does shit! He is not the villain boss just sitting around letting his henchmen do everything, that is the exception. In most episodes he goes out and leads their evil scheme and that makes us engage with him.  The same goes for G1 Galvatron too - he might not have the same level of scheming as Megatron did, but he was no less active. Man was active without actually doing anything, that’s a feat! I mean guys, TFA Megatron was more active as a half-destroyed head than Deszaras has been here! Deszaras doesn’t even have the good grace to be fucking fabulous while he sits around waiting for his henchmen to get shit done like BW Megs has (Not that BW Megs is boring, just saying that he sits around in his bath tub a lot).
So he’s just boring and frustrating to watch, nothing he does makes one engage with his character and just like Star Saber, he doesn’t have any meaningful interactions with anyone.
I mean check TFP Megatron and how different his dynamics are with his troups, or how TFA Megs knows his men pretty well and only speaks to Lugnut at first because of that.  And say what you will about Megatron and Starscream, you cannot deny that their dynamic in most shows is compelling and interesting to watch. Deszaras and Leozack can be considered to be like Megs and Starscream, but while Deszaras surely influenced Leozack’s character, they still didn’t have any real nice interesting interaction with each other. Second in command here only means that Leo’s in charge during missions, and not being the Dragon who challenges the villain.
That first episode of Victory gave me hope that Deszaras and Star Saber would have some pretty awesome enemy dynamic, but so far they only interacted twice.
And this is were I have to give Masterforce a plus point:
Yeah, both autobot leader Ginrai and decepticon leader Overlord appeared and met rather late, BUT once they actually clashed their dynamic was really interesting!
Ginrai as a leader is really unique, because just like TFA Optimus, he learns to become a good respected leader. At the beginning of his arc he didn’t even wanna join the autobots, so it makes his ascencion all the more sweet!
Overlord (and with that I also mean Giga and Mega, the two people who transform into Overlord) is also an unconventional leader for the decepticons, in that he treats his troups with respect and like a family and actually cares about them. And while he does berate them at times when they fail, he never abuses them like most other decepticon leaders.
And then there is the Ginrai - Overlord dynamic itself, when they first fight Ginrai loses. And we see that he’s actually afraid to fight with him again, but pushes himself to do so anyway, which makes them form a pretty solid rivalry that last throughout the show. Not to mention Overlord’s development and Ginrai’s involvement in that. (which I’m not gonna spoil here)
Gotta admit, when it comes to Enemy leader dynamics, Ginrai - Overlord might be my favourite next to TFA.
And Victory does not deliver much in that aspect, at least not in the first 12 episodes. Will it change? I am doubtful, but ready to be surprised ~

Optimus, Ratchet and Wheeljack adopt a Human Teen (Headcanon)
Requested by http://i-fucked-osmosis-jones.tumblr.com/ I hope you like them. It’s the first time I have made headcanons so let me know what you think guys.
Optimus:
-          Ultimate adoptive Dad
-          Will ensure you eat breakfast before you go to school
-          “It’s the most important meal of the day, why don’t you want to eat it?”
-          If you are involved in extracurricular activities he will be at every recital/ game/ award ceremony
-          Parent-teacher conferences are the best
-          “Mr Prime, your child has expressed interest in car and truck mechanics.”
-          He cries with joy
-          Under Optimus’ supervision you are a golden child and star pupil
-          The day a scholarship arrives from an ivy league college, he goes in to stasis lock because he is overwhelmed
-          He’s very protective when it comes to your dating life
-          Secretly sends Bee to spy on you but denies everything
-          Whenever you get captured by the decepticons, which is often, you just remain the diplomat like Optimus and not make a scene or fret. Megatron is very confused by you.
-          “Well done Old friend, you have raised you’re sparkling well.”
-          Proud dad
Ratchet:
-          Begrudgingly agrees to look after you
-          The first few months are pretty much him telling you not to touch anything
-          Just doesn’t want you to get hurt, but you are a teen so naturally you rebel
-          Internally screams the first time you shout, “I needed that!”
-          The other bots all groan at the realisation that you had gained his mannerisms
-          “Doc are you crying?”
-          “Don’t be stupid, I’ve got some earth dust in my optic.”
-          When you fall asleep after staying up to revise, he wraps a blanket around you and puts you to bed
-          He’s very defensive when it comes to your teacher reports
-          “Mr Ratchet, Y/N has utter disregard for physics class.”
-          “Your physics is flawed, next complaint.”
-          You take an interest in Cybertronian science and he couldn’t be prouder of you
-          The first time you accidentally call him Dad, he smiles at you before regaining his composure but on the inside, he is losing his shit.
-          Distant but secretly doting Dad
Wheeljack:
-          He’s so excited to be an adopted Dad
-          He will protect you from all harm
-          He has a good effect on you, at least he thinks it’s good, the other autobots tell him it’s not good that you are picking a fight with everyone who makes a bad comment.
-          PTA meetings are ever eventful, since the other mums secretly shit talk you.
-          “Fuck off Janet, your kid doesn’t know the difference between a plant cell and an animal cell.”
-          You do argue quite a bit though, mostly because you are both so similar
-          “Look! I'm a teenage girl, I'd rather be anywhere than here! I'm all about long sullen silences, followed by mean comments, followed by more silence! So, what's it gonna be: long sullen silence or mean comment? Go on, take your pick.”
-          “...You got me in a box here.”
-          He teaches you how to fight and fly the Jack Hammer which is when he is at his most open with you.
-          God help whoever you go out with
-          Jacky does not understand the meaning of subtlety when it comes to interrupting your dates
-          Always proud when you come home with a black eye but you ultimately won the fight.
-          You are a wrecker, no ifs or buts.
-          Ride-or-die helicopter Dad

okay hi my name is jamie and me and @dedede-get-ipad made a high school au for TFA because some folks in the tf rp chat are making a general high school au, since me and whirlibird rly like TFA rn we decided to make a TFA centric one
Optimus Prime is a sophomore with a really nice charismatic attitude who’s captain of the school’s basketball team.
Ratchet's a senior who's currently job shadowing the nurse in the main office so he's usually found in there volunteering and helping out. but he has a super shitty attitude, school has taken so much out of him and he just wants to Graduate and never have to wake up early ever again.
Bulkhead is a junior and like that kid in the back of the class who's playing video games. Fell behind in all of his classes except for woodwork and excels in that. His teachers know he’s trying his best but he still has 5 F’s.
Prowl is a sophomore and is the resident anime nerd who watches naruto in class instead of doing his work. Constantly naruto runs in halls. Somehow seems to turn in all his work on time regardless.
Bumblebee is a freshman who thought he could make quarterback on the football team. He didn’t. He got kicked out of the football team due to accidentally launching a ball at Megatron and joined the basketball team out of spite.
Ultra Magnus is a senior who’s been basketball captain for all but one year, which Sentinel was for a time and then Optimus came around. Expects a lot from Optimus. Hangs out with Sentinel and tries to keep his ass in line since he ain’t a senior yet and can’t be making fun of the freshmen.... Yet.
Sentinel Prime was the previous basketball captain in freshman year, super pissed that he isn’t this year especially since he’s a junior and will be a senior soon. Gives Optimus a bunch of shit for because of it. Likes to make fun of underclassmen
Jazz is a junior and also an anime nerd, he’s president of anime club and will literally pay you 100 bucks for a racer miku figurine.
Blurr is the school senior track champion who's won the state championships 3 times in a row since he was a freshman. He talks really fast and is actually a brainiac. Everyone thinks he’s running off some kind of energy drink of coffee, no. He’s just like that.
Grimlock, Swoop, and Snarl are the school furries/scalies who constantly pretend to be dinosaurs and everybody avoids them at all costs.
Wreck-gar is a freshman and the resident trash kid who’s locker is full of papers and fallen pens and looks like a mess. He rarely takes a shower and always blurts out the answer out in class (albeit it wrong). He’s hyperactive and doesn’t really know what he’s doing with his life but he’s having a good time
Megatron however is a senior who’s captain of the football team and has been since he was a freshman, but Optimus showed up and has been one-upping him for two years and he’s getting pretty sick of it
Blitzwing and Lugnut are Megatron's lackeys. Bliztwing is a junior and is that one kid with a temper problem but despite his shitty temper he's like the class clown, always cracking jokes and saying stupid answers. Someone says the word ass because they were reading the passage from the book? Bliztwing sneers loudly and causes everyone else to laugh. However at times Bliztwing is known to stay quiet and avoid talking to people. Nobody knows why.
Shockwave is a sophomore and the school's resident outcast who seems to get along really well with Megatron. The two have known each other since childhood and Shockwave recently went through a whole new personality and look make over for high school, however only Megatron knows who the real Shockwave is.
Lugnut is a freshman who's been going to the same schools as Megatron since elementary and basically has seen his rise to glory as a hella good football player and is like 'DO YOU NOT KNOW WHO MEGATRON IS??? HE'S BEEN THE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. HE'S AMAZING SHUT YOUR MOUTH.'
Starscream is a junior running back who’s pissed that for the third year in a row Megatron was voted as team captain over him and has been actively trying to sabotage Megatron for years and have him get into an ‘accident’ during practice so he can be voted as temporary captain as Megatron’s in the hospital. (This however fails and he ends up in the hospital instead.)
Black Arachnia is a sophomore who used to be Optimus's girlfriend back in 6th grade but because of an accident she had to move away. she recently transfers back to school with them but now she's a goth. that accident being she got bullied hella hard and Optimus was too much of a wuss to go and help her despite Sentinel thinking he could square up but Optimus was like 'it's no use we'll all get beat up', and she's super pissed about it still.
Waspinator is a freshman who used to be one of the ‘cool kids’ on the football team. However due to an accident involving Megatron and a rake, he was kicked off the team and suspended from school. Having been grounded by his parents he basically went silent for a month. When he came back to school however he was a changed man. He was a lot more antsier and wanted to take out his problems on Bumblebee, who is the reason he got suspended and grounded in the first place.
Thundercracker, Skywarp, Ramjet, Sunstorm and Slipstream are Starscream’s siblings. They’re sextuplets who Starscream absolutely despise and they despise him in return. Welcome to Osomatsu-san seeker edition. Thundercracker is the second oldest and the snarkiest of them all, often gloating about how much better he is than Starscream. Skywarp is the third oldest and middle child, very timid and often the one to keep his siblings from fighting. Ramjet is a compulsive liar and is constantly lying whether it be stretching the truth of a story or outright denying doing anything shady. Sunstorm often times kisses up to Starscream to get favors, actually he does this to everyone to get favors. Especially Swindle. That favor being free weed. Sunstorm is a stoner. Slipstream is the youngest of the sextuplets and is overall the most logical one out of all of them. She’s the one who makes sure all of her brothers stay in line and don’t go off doing something stupid.
Swindle is a junior who sells stuff from his lockers. Pens, test answers, snacks, energy drinks, you name it. All for a fair and reasonable price of course. You can catch him hanging around his locker during lunch or passing period with somebody passing him money and he fishing something out of his Mary Poppins-locker. However if you have the money to buy it, Swindle can sell you some booze in water bottles or a bag of weed. However when the drug dogs come sniffing he’s always first to get busted and is constantly suspended because of it.
Soundwave is a freshman who's entire character is basically built by Megatron. He was a nobody who started hanging around Megatron and through his influences he became a little punk who likes to listen to his music a little bit too loud.
Lockdown is the school bully, but not in a conventional way. People pay him to beat up other kids. He doesn’t care, he usually gets sent to the principle’s office because of it but he always finds a way to worm himself out. He uses the money to buy weed from Swindle.
i’ll add more characters as i see them, i’m still watching TFA so i haven’t gotten to everyone yet.

Transformers Animated: Morning Star: Chapter 02: The Alternative
Greenblade hadn’t been a fan of the whole idea of seeking refuge on a maintenance ship but considering their lack of funds and things to trade, the old yellow and red ship containing a batch of maintenance bots were really all they had to choose from. It was different than they were used to.
Convincing the captain of the ship, a Prime at that, had been difficult enough, especially with the medic bot, an old, white, and red bot seeming to wait for rust to set in, had been the first one against it. Apparently, according to the annoying yellow bot, they weren’t the first asteroid-hikers the maintenance bots had picked up on their route. As it turned out, the maintenance bots had been the reason why the black and cold bi-pedal bot had to rely on them for transportation due to an incident that resulted in his own ship being destroyed. She pitied him. She truly did. Whether he felt the same towards her, he didn’t let on. She didn’t pry either.
Blueflame on the other servo, had been all too happy to meet the acquaintance of the five mechs, enough so that Greenblade had learned their names off by spark. The leader, Optimus Prime, who didn’t seem all that keen on explaining why exactly a Prime was leading a spacebridge maintenance team. Ratchet, the old and grouchy medic. Prowl, the forced travel companion. Bulkhead, the bulbous oaf, and finally, the irritating chatterbox, Bumblebee. She found that her personal preferences led her to stay close to Prowl, whom, as it turned out, was a ninja bot.
Greenblade had received stellarcycles of sword, stealth and other sorts of training, all for the sake of her sister, so she found having a decent sparring partner made the trip a little more worthwhile. Optimus had told them that it would take a long while to get the sisters where they needed to go, but that it would eventually be on their route, so they didn’t mind all that much. With the way Bumblebee ogled her sister, Greenblade was certain that he definitely didn’t mind the thought of the journey being delayed. The thought alone was enough to tighten her servo around the hilt of her sword, the sight of him happily chirping away at Blueflame’s audio angering her to her core.
She couldn’t blame her sister for seeking some form of companionship, considering that the only other youngling she ever really had contact with, was her. Their parents had kept Blueflame separate for stellarcycles, and now that she finally had the opportunity to gain freedom from them and their memories, she was taking full advantage of it.
A part of her envied her sister’s easy adjustment to their current wanderers status. She wished that she too could simply toss all she knew aside and just relax for once, to simply sit down and chat with one of the five mechs like they were old friends. Cycles of being trained to do the opposite had her on constant edge, so much so that the medic had begun to notice. He had offered to give her something for her jumpiness, but she had denied him in that regard. He had simply shrugged and gone off to do something else instead.
From the haunted look in his optics and the scars sticking to his frame, especially the missing half of the chevron on his forehelm, indicated that he had possibly been involved in the old war against the Decepticons. He confirmed it earlier that cycle when he caught the Prime watching some old footage of the war, scolding him for wanting to know what war felt like.
As payment for their travel, the sisters had to help clear the debris from the spacebridges the ship was forced to maintain. Greenblade was no stranger to hard work, so she took the task easier than Blueflame, who, for once forbidden from using her ability, hacked at the asteroid like a sparkling trying to figure out why a toy wasn’t lighting up. She found it amusing, to see her oh-so-greatly-revered younger sister struggling with something for once in her life, but instead of giving up and pouting in a corner like she originally thought Blueflame would do, the inexperienced femme happily took on the challenge, grinning like a content youngling whenever Bumblebee or Bulkhead tossed praises her way.
She often found Prowl focusing more on his meditation than actually helping out but considering that he was the only one forced to travel alongside the maintenance bots, she left him to it. Blueflame, with the backing of her formerly mentioned cheer squadron, often tried encouraging him to help out. Surprisingly, it actually worked at times, and made the effort much less on the rest of them.
At one point Blueflame had asked Optimus why they couldn’t just use the spacebridge to go straight where they needed to. His excuse was that the spacebridges were to remain offline because of their sole purpose being for the benefit of the Autobot Elite Guard under the guise of security reasons. Personally Greenblade didn’t believe him, thinking that the actual reason lay in it possibly causing too much traffic throughout space, but she kept her opinion to herself.
Normally the seven of them worked without much interaction, yet today it seemed that the mechs were in some kind of competitive mood. Bumblebee tried showing off for Blueflame by using his stingers in the flashy way only he seemed to have perfected. Blueflame had secretly begged for permission to use her ability, but Greenblade had shut her down fast with the fact that they needed to keep what she could do a secret.
At times she had the inkling feeling that her sister might have shown what she was capable of to the show-off mech but considering how difficult it seemed for him to keep his motor shut, he had no idea. Good. She didn’t feel up to explaining the real possible reason why the two of hem had snuck away on a maintenance ship instead of waiting on a transporter instead. Primus knew there were enough of those going around ever since the war against the Decepticons ended all those deca-cycles ago.
Greenblade had been relying on an old axe Optimus had found lying around in storage. There was no way she was going to damage her sword with stubborn boulders clinging onto the only emergency transportation system the Autobots had. She was just about to swing the tool down, ignoring the rest of the mix-and-match team when Optimus broke open one of said boulders, causing a blast of light to nearly blind all of them upon its moment of freedom.
One of them questioned what it was, but from the horrified look on the medic’s faceplate, it was clear he knew just exactly what the large orange container was.
“Ratchet?” Optimus’ voice broke through her thoughts, snapping her out of the trance the container seemed to set her under. “What is it?”
“The Allspark…” Ratchet breathed, almost as if he himself couldn’t believe what was right in front of his very optics. Bumblebee and Bulkhead were the first to exchange questionable glances between each other.
“The Allspark? But that’s only a myth, isn’t it?” Blueflame asked, nearly causing Greenblade to flinch at her sister’s ignorance. It seemed her mother hadn’t taught her everything Greenblade had been forced to learn at the academy. A glance between all of them, save for Ratchet, left the mechs assuming that the Allspark being something from a legendary tale was simply the version she had been told. Greenblade wasn’t going to explain anything to them. They could figure that part out on their own.
“Get it on board. Get it on board right now!” Ratchet ordered, his pinchers sliding out from their protective casing in his wrist plating. The rest of them barely had a chance to react as Bumblebee and Bulkhead helped the medic to get the container inside, the rest of them following in shortly after.
The ship blasted away from the asteroid whilst Optimus contacted the head honcho himself, Ultra Magness, leader of the Autobots, and commander of the Primes. She would have felt intimidated, if it weren’t for the fact that a different bot answered the communication hail instead. Some bot named Sentinel Prime. From the sound of it, he and Optimus didn’t seem to be on the best terms.
Without thinking, Greenblade forced Blueflame behind her, hiding her out of sight from the second Prime. From the sound of it, the second Prime didn’t seem to be aware of who was allowed to be on the ship and who wasn’t.
Blueflame had tried protesting against all the shoving, but Greenblade had gotten her into the same room as the Allspark. Blueflame hadn’t been happy about it, but a silent glare from her older sister had her shutting up and dealing with it.
The crew was ordered to take the Allspark somewhere, and the first thing Greenblade did was pull out her sword and hold it to the Prime’s throat plating. The mechs around them stood in shock, only Ratchet and Prowl ready to try and fight against her if it came down to deciding whether the Prime’s life fuel would be spilled or not.
“Greenblade, what is this-” Optimus began, his servos raised beside him in surrender. She cut him off by ensuring the side of her blade pressed right against the silver of his neck.
“Listen Prime, you have your orders, and I respect that, truly I do, but me and my sister have someplace we need to be. It’s only because you and your crew have agreed to take us there that we didn’t cause any problems for you, but if you choose to deviate from the original course, I’m afraid you will have a mutiny on your servos.”
“Uh, wouldn’t she need to be, you know, part of the crew to do that?” Bumblebee questioned, making her wish she could cast a glare in his direction. The first rule of fighting kept her from doing so. Never take your eyes off your opponent. Besides the Prime, the ninja bot was probably the only one that stood a chance of fighting her. She preferred not going ped-to-ped with any of them at the moment, not while it could potentially put her ward at risk.
Optimus ignored the younger bot, casting his blue optics towards her. He was handsome, there was no denying that, but she was a femme with a mission, and if it meant snuffing out the spark of some bot getting in her way, then so be it.
“Greenblade, now really isn’t the time to-”
“I’m not fooling around Prime. After you drop the two of us off, you and your little crew can go along your merry way, but I am not letting anyone, Autobot, Prime or even fragging Ultra Magness himself get in my way.”
For a nano click it seemed like the Prime was about to consider her request – or demand at this point – when, out of nowhere, the ship tilted to the side, sending them all sprawling into the closest object to try and regain their balance. Her first and only thought was concern for her sister’s safety before the ship’s computer, Teletraan One, pulled up footage of their attacker, the reigning Dark Ruler of the Decepticons, Megatron himself.
