Kidnapped to sleep | Leviathan

Peace, just a little bit of peace. That's all you asked for. After a long, tiring day, you didn't even have time to sit down properly in your room for a moment. Just when you approached bed, a knocking sound came from inside the room instead of from outside.

“You knock before entering!” You huffed.

Foras appeared at your side without a hush.

"Sorry, but…"

“What’s going on again? And quickly, if you can.” You cut his words in half. Headache and tiredness make you thorny. All you wanted was to collapse like a log and fall asleep. Didn't even care anymore whether he tried to kill you or not, you had survived so many threats and potential murder attempts today that one here or there wouldn't make any difference. You almost softened when you saw the remorse written all over the dreamy devil's face.

“His Majesty wants to see you.”

Yeah, almost. 

“Tell him to stick his desires in… ugh.”

There was no point arguing. The quicker you deal with them, the better. You were about to leave when Foras grabbed your waist, and you felt your insides churning again. That bastard… you can walk on your own! No need to teleport!

The palace was even quieter and darker, but when Foras left you in his king's office, you didn't feel as overwhelmed as the first time. It reminded you of Prince Charming's room. Leviathan, as beautiful as he was mysterious, was leaning over the documents. You stood on your tiptoes to look at them.

"What are you doing? It's not your business."

“You called me here yourself.”

You won't let him push you around. Not only was it dangerous, it also hurt your pride. He ignored you and went back to work, so you sat down on the chair across him, not knowing for what he needed you, and started thinking. Just out of boredom. It wasn't the wisest decision you could have made in such a state. 

With such a beautiful creature by your side, it was hard to think of anything other than punishing him for the way he treated you. If only he could be beaten with a whip again. Choke. Oppress. Hear the gasps and moans as he runs out of breath. Milk would flow from these beautiful horns, and you would make him drink it himself...

"What are you staring at?"

Not only did he dare to be so beautiful in front of you, but he also disturbed your fantasies. The audacity.

"Beautiful."

A smile appeared on his lips and you clutched your mouth. This shouldn't have been let slip! Apparently, it only made him feel better, because he told you that you’re going to sleep together. Oh yes. It's time to put all these plans into action!

Reality hit you as soon as you sat down on the soft mattress in his coffin. How was it so comfortable here? It reminded you of a water bed with a cover on top like a canopy. Leviathan probably already thought you were a freak, so you had nothing to lose. You could have use him, abused him. But the soft material acted like a magnet. Silk is like flypaper. You were so tired... you closed your eyes just for a second, and suddenly felt the warmth next to you. A hot, masculine fragrance. And a strong arm that hung around your waist.

“I thought you hated me?”

“I do not like you. Just like everyone else.”

It was so comfortable. So… safe? You definitely needed some rest.

“So you also sleep cuddled up to your nobles like stuffed animals? Like now?”

He nuzzled his nose into your hair, not really bothered by your taunts.

“Silence. I have to keep an eye on you all the time. I can't let you endanger anyone.”

It occurred to you that for now you are only a danger to yourself, because you want to abuse the most dangerous king of hell you have ever met.

If only you had a whip at hand... wrapped in the darkness of the coffin and Levi's arm, the tiredness of the day came flooding back to you. You closed your eyes. Just for a second.

Two seconds later you were sound asleep, tucking your knee between the devil's legs. He grabbed the back of your neck and tightened his fingers.

“What are you thinking?”

You didn't think anything at that moment. Just purred in delight. Feeling the warm, broad chest, you clung to it unconsciously. No wonder you sought safety. That coffin almost devour you last time. What was strange was that you were looking for support in the arms of a man who was the reason for your anxiety, but who would care? He also didn't behave like a terrible tyrant, not now.

He ran his fingers through your hair. They were soft and fragrant, flowing between his fingers like a waterfall. You didn't see him, so he could afford it. So defenseless, hugging him, you no longer looked like a threat. If it weren't for his experience, he would almost be fooled by you. He promised himself he wouldn't fall into your trap, and despite his own promises, he wrapped his arms around you. Some devils can lie, and he was just trying to lie to himself.

Imma stick to the core six as obx has a multitude of different characters but I’ll make more posts with other rankings of other characters if you’d like 👍🏾

1 - Pope

He is me and I am him. His characters story of wanting to make more of himself, the pogues, and his family name was so inspiring. Him finding the cross of his ancestors and making sure their story was heard. And on top of all that he stayed loyal to his friends, got a wonderful scholarship, and stayed true to his values from s1. Overall great dude and an amazing friend.

2 - JJ

His name should be change to JJ “Loyal” Maybank because he put his life on the line so many times for his friends. Going to jail for pope, stealing an ambulance for John B, Going to save Kie for the kook camp, chasing after a car that held a drugged Sarah, and even fought side by side with Cleo whom he barely knew. Plus he’s the life of the party lol

3 - Sarah

My little golden sundrop 🥹. She is the sweetest yet most assertive character. She’s gone through so much and still put on a smile whenever she could. She loyal as hell and super resourceful for someone who grew up never having to lift a finger. A true pogue and the definition of a ride or die.

4 - Cleo

She was one of the best additions to the show period—and you can fight me on that. She fits the group like she was always there and I love how the pogues took her in with open arms. She’s a badass but also a cinnamon roll and I love the duality of her character. She’s still kinda new so she’s definitely gonna grow on me and might go up my list 🫶🏾.

5 - John B

Main character giving side character vibes…and I hate that for him. I want more for John B’s character! Good stuff not bad. But he’s such a good guy and he deserves better. Hopefully they give me more of him and he goes higher up on my list.

6 - Kie

I’ve already talked about my hatred for Kie. I do believe that her breaking up with JJ and focusing on herself is the one thing that could potentially fix her character for me. I personally think a storyline when she separates herself from the pogues and has her own character arc would really help her character.

Squalo’s either a huge fan of resting or hates it entirely. for the sake of this, it’s not resting per se, but… he likes to relax with you, very specifically. even if he’s working; being able to actually relax is rare, and nice. watch for if he removes his sword with you around; he likes to do maintenance on it with you around because it’s not stressful, not work, and with you. it’s a sign of comfort and vulnerability

You were complaining about something, rolling around on the floor beside him as you went on and on. He didn’t care much about all the movement; you maintained a good distance so you wouldn’t knock into him.

“Besides, it was stupid to begin with and if they’d listened to me in the first place it wouldn’t have happened at all!”

“Mhm.”

You glanced over at Squalo, stretching your arms out to rest your head on. He glanced up at your silence, and his shoulders slumped. This didn’t stop him from polishing his blade, the action repetitive, calming, like habit.

“What?”

He huffed when you smiled in that silly, dreamy way you did when you were enamoured with something. It still had to take some getting used to, seeing it directed at him.

“Nothin’. You look so nice and relaxed for once. Boss is gonna kick that out a window once you’re done.”

He grumbled something under his breath at this. It wouldn’t last very long, but still. He felt relaxed, for once. The soothing motions of sharpening and polishing his sword was a comfort to him. You rolling around on the floor like a kid was a comfort to him.

“I’m not goin’ anywhere for at least another half hour.” Your eyes started to light up at this, and he almost laughed at the way you started kicking your feet back and forth in the air. “You’re stuck with me until then.”

“Favourite thing to be stuck with.”

if he’s an adult, he’d be… a bit more normal lol. I think he’d be very careful while getting to know you, but he’d like to show you how strong and reliable he is. y’know, adult in the mafia kind of stuff. younger though, he’d be a lot more… of a loser about it. he’d want to make sure you can also look after yourself in the future with him! so he’d stick to you like glue at school, be suuuuper annoying and stuff. fight, probably.

“Can’t you go easy on me or something at least?!”

“Doing that won’t keep you alive in a real fight, will it?”

You made a loud noise of complaint, but you still got back onto your feet to return to your original position. Kyoya gripped his tonfa a little tighter, nodding to himself.

If you could not even get up and keep training, there would be no point in trying.

There was potential in you he knew was there, and he’d be damned if the one he’d grown attached to would get killed because you didn’t try to get stronger. It only made sense to him that the one who put you through this was him and no one else. No one else would take it seriously.

“Get ready, then.”

You whined, but steeled your shoulders. Your gaze on him sharpened, eyes narrowing, and he felt his lips twitch up into a smirk.

It seems like everyone assumes that Miles and Miguel, if when they reconcile, will have a strained relationship at best (which is totally understandable), but I feel like there is so much potential for such wholesome interactions between those two.

(Big brother Miguel headcanons under the cut.)

Both having Latina/Hispanic moms, talking about how the home cooking is so much better than anything else. (Miguel teaching Miles some of the family recipes that he can no longer show Gabriella, and how homemade empanadas are so much better than the ones in the cafeteria.)

Spanglish. Miguel, on principle, trying to steer him towards proper Spanish but doing so great of a job of it himself—it’s a constant back and forth teasing. Playful arguments and bickering in Spanish that make the others exchange oblivious glances, Miles getting frustrated when his vocabulary fails him, Miguel offering the words (and curses) to him with a grin knowing Miles would get fussed at if he ever let them slip them around his mom. Miles’ fluency improving exponentially because Miguel challenges him and makes him speak in nothing but sometimes while he gives him oral reports. Rio being so proud of her boy’s improved accent but being so puzzled as to why it suddenly got better.

Big/little brother tussling. Miguel armlocks Miles and ruffles his hair just to irritate him. Miles climbs all over Miguel. Slapping each other, punching each other, shadow boxing. Casual affection that Miles never got since he doesn’t have a sibling, and Miguel gets to indulge for the first time in years since he misses Gabriel more than he ever thought he would.

Miguel showing him the ropes, different techniques, how to handle hand-to-hand better (bc let’s face it, Miles isn’t that scrappy—see: his scuffle with the Spot). Miles being quicker and outwitting Miguel’s brute strength. Betting pools traveling hands while all the other Spiders watch their sparring matches, laughter ringing out every time Miguel manages to land a blunt slap against Miles’ flank, talons withdrawn, with a smug, “Gotcha, hermanito. Watch your back.”

Miles dealing with an anomaly in his universe, calling for backup. Miguel swooping in like he did with Gwen, whooping ass because only he gets to bully Miles Morales (lovingly). Miles watching in bemusement as they deliver the anomaly to base and the others are curious why they’re so terrified of Miguel and want to go home so bad.

Miles’ silly little jokes rubbing off on Miguel. Miguel’s flat sarcasm rubbing off on Miles. Them saying jokes/punchlines/puns at the same time. The others groan and roll their eyes. “You’re corrupting him, Miguel.”/“You’re spending too much time with that stick in the mud, Miles.”

Miles going to Miguel when he has trouble with his dad, needs advice, or just feels down. Miguel not being quite so comfortable to offer physical comfort, but willing to give him a hug if he needs one. Miguel giving him advice where he can. Miguel letting him hang out with him while he works. (Miguel’s heart softening to mush when Miles starts bringing his sketchbook with him to vent through his art, curling up nearby on the platform.) Miguel offering to teach him some things on tech and such to keep Miles’ brain occupied when it’s going a mile a minute—working with one’s hands does wonders, after all.

Peter B catching them holed away somewhere zonked on a couch, Miguel protectively wrapping an arm around Miles’ shoulders in his sleep while he snores like a bear. Peter snaps a picture, throws a blanket over them, and leaves them be.

Just…big brother Miguel🥹please let it happen.

Kassandra had met Natakas on the land of Makedonia. She had sailed there on her glorious ship, the Adrestia, for what she thought was going to entail her typical quests and jobs she got paid for, but she was in for so much more than she bargained for. A father and son duo, Darius and Natakas, were on the run from the Order of the Ancients as well from Makedonia. They wanted Darius and his whole family dead for the crime they thought he committed. Meanwhile they also wanted Kassandra dead as she was of course, the Eagle Bearer. She was what they called one of “the Tainted Ones”. Kassandra had many things to bare upon her shoulders.

Marren had never really had luck in her life. Whether it was school, family, relationships, or even her own mind. The one thing she somehow excelled in was her knack for her career. She worked in the background, always sticking to the shadows and doing management work within different agencies. She was always praised for a job well done and made a nice living for herself. She didn’t like the fuss and tried to keep raises or potential promotions on the downlow. She had moved away from her hometown and moved to Boston, after obtaining her Master’s degree in business management. She didn’t really enjoy the work that much, but staying occupied in an office organizing various things was nice in the least. It was nearing the end of 1986.

Thinking about how crowded the brothel is getting with hottie Joelkémon (the opposite of a problem) BUT one option is a Joel that needs more to him or want to veer in a different direction than your original, you could have him evolve- like real Pokemon. And they evolve into a stronger pokemon (I think most times) and have better/newer moves. So like for example if free use wanted to go a diff direction or if stepdad wants a redemption arc that could be one way to go.

Why I like them:

I'm always a sucker for a powerful antagonist lol Especially when they have heaps of trauma built in too, and Toji has that for sure! The way he was outcast by his family but used his heavenly restriction to overcome so much and become a notorious assassin is just peak character to me

Why I don't:

There's not really anything I dislike about him tbh 🤷🏽‍♀️

Favorite scene:��

To thirst over- In the anime when he catches the fish in his mouth and then the way his tongue sticks out after releasing it??? 🥵🥵🥵 Mappa had NO RIGHT --plus the backflips in the air with his shirt riding up juuuust enough to give a peak at his back - Chefs's kiss /CINEMA/

In general- The moments of flashback where he recalls his first wife's words about taking care of Megumi and then ends up offing himself to protect Megumi from himself.

Uhhhh him and the worm lmao The fact the official fanbook says: "Toji was able to establish a friendly relationship with his inventory curse by earnestly training it like a pet." makes me giddy

Headcanon:

I dunno what's canon, fanon or simply conjecture since i havent read the manga but- I dont believe Toji ever /actually/ forgot who Megumi was in part 1 of Hidden Inventory. I think he was playing it up to downplay Megumi's importance to him in order to keep him safe. I think nearly every decision he makes is to try and keep Megs safe. Naming him a traditionally girl's name to potentially keep the rest of the Zenin clan off their trail since they dont value women no matter their cursed techniques. Finding a wealthy second wife to link himself to so that Megs wouldn't grow up destitute with just him ((even tho i read Toji and Tsumiki's mom apparently "ran away together" and spent up all the inheritance? i dunno i still wanna believe okay)) The way he saw his first wife/first love tbh- in Megumi when they were fighting in the alley and he flashbacked to her telling him to keep Megs safe. I also think that regardless of if it turned out Megs had ended up with the Zenins and taken their clan name after his first death- or the current timeline of him remaining Fushiguro, that Toji would have killed himself to protect Megumi in that last moment. I think the fact that he still had the Fushiguro name let him at least die more peacefully this second time. 

Unpopular opinion:

It's hard for me to read certain Toji x Reader content because of how integral I view his relationship with Megumi's mom. I'm not a fan of erasing her from his story/life or having reader be that person for him. I dunno why this is a sticking point for me of all the things I read and write lmao Still love reading shameless smut and also sometimes fluff with him that doesnt dive too deep into things but for deeper dives I feel like any Toji x Reader should be mainly one sided, unrequited romantic feelings for him 

A wish: 

More backstory for him! There was a fan mockup of sequel focused on him as a kid and growing up and I wanted it to be true sooo bad! I mean we all know he's Gege's favorite so if Gege didnt hate us they'd make it happen, but alas 😩 For now I make do with the adorable art by DDub1618 on twitter!
