formorethananame:
Somewhere in the back of his mind, that bit of information resonated with Orion. He’d looked up Hongki’s group, of course. Their music was good, and he didn’t want to go into a situation not knowing anything about someone, especially with the connections this guy had. “I remember reading that, yeah,” he said. “My neck of the woods makes some mean burgers, though, I’m telling you.”
Orion let Hongki into his car. Once they were both settled, he left the parking lot and headed into the city. It was late at night, so not much was open, but he knew of a few spots. As they drove, Orion hummed to himself. “I take it you were born and raised here?” he asked, glancing at Hongki.
It wasn’t hard to meet foreigners like himself. All he had to do was look around, ask the right people, and he’d find those like him. Meeting the locals, though, could be more fun. They knew the city personally, understood the culture and its secrets.
Once he found where he wanted to be, Orion pulled into the lot. He parked and climbed out, stretched before locking the car up. Orion inhaled deeply. “Damn, this smells good!” He grinned at Hongki and headed for the door. “C’mon, let’s go!”
“If you say so I will take your word for it.” Hongki said followed by a chuckle as he heard Orion’s words. He then followed the other male to his car and got inside once they had reached it and it was unlocked. The idol got comfortable as they drove off and looked over at Orion as he asked him a question. As their eyes met briefly he allowed a small hum to escape him.
“If you mean if I was born in South Korea then the answer is yes. I was born in Gwangju and we lived there until I was 2 years old.” The young male explained before looking out of the window. As he looked back at Orion he continued to talk. “My family lived 9 years abroad but once I was 11 I grew up in Seoul. It became my home because I made many good memories especially during my teenage years.” This city sure was holding a special place in his heart even though he was grateful that he had seen glimpses of the world as a kid.
“So should you ever need a tour around the city feel free to ask me. I will show you all the spots I came to love.” Hongki added, simply having felt that this might be something Orion would like to do. People moving to another country often got pretty caught of up into their every day lives to do some deeper exploring. And by that he meant they surely got used to living there but they didn’t know about all the little things locals new about.
Once Orion parked his car and got out the idol did the same and then turned to look at the other. As the other talked about the smell he inhaled as well before nodding his head in agreement. “It sure does smell good.” Hongki said with a smile playing on his lips as he walked over to the door as well. After they got inside they got greeted by one of the waiters before being told that they could sit wherever they wanted.
The idol scanned the room while opening his jacket already. And then he spotted a table in the corner of the room and nodded towards it. “You wanna sit there?” He asked Orion, liking the idea of having a bit more privacy in that corner. But should his new friend dislike his choice he would sit wherever the other suggested.

Felix ♥ Sleepover
You and your best friend felix see each other for the first time in awhile
dom!felix x fem!reader
WARNINGS: SMUT, fluff, daddy kink, praise, dirty-talk, slight degradation
Word count: 2318
——————————————————————————-
It had been a long day, a Friday. The best day of the week that seems like the longest day of the week. My best friend Felix from when I lived in Sydney as a kid was at my house staying the night as my parents and I just moved to Korea. My mother trusted Felix since she has known him since we were little tots.
"I'm going out with your father for a business dinner we'll be back around 11 PM or 12 AM as always depending on his boss," yelled my mom as she was walking out the door. I was just really happy to be with my bestfriend again for the first time in 6 years he left Sydney to be an idol which I understand. I just missed getting to see my bestfriend and crush in person everyday.
Currently we were sitting on my bed playing Clash Royale together and streaming their comeback shows to get in more views. Felix's group Stray Kids just had a comeback with the title song Side Effects and damn, it's a fucking bop.
Right as me and Felix won a battle their newest comeback show came on and Felix begged, "Let's skip this one I rather not watch this promotion show pleaseeeeee y/n pleaseeeeee let's skip this one"
Felix was begging and blushing he looked embarrassed honestly which intrigued me. "No I want to watch this once as seeing your reaction I'm interested," I stated while watching the TV intensely
"HOLY FUCKING HELL, SHIT SINCE WHEN FELIXXXX!!! WHAT THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK YOU HAVE ABSSS!?!?! I WANT TO SEE THEM LIVE NOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!" I exclaimed as I saw him rap and hold his shirt up a good five seconds. He had just faceplanted into my pillow and groaned in embarrassment while replied to me blushing, "No I will not show you my abs, it's embarrassing... Ahhhh I didn't want to watch this one I'm so embarrassed now!" I just pouted and exclaimed, "Come on Felix~~~~ all the stays there got to see them why can't I see them live too!"
Felix just sat on my bed looking out the window blushing and ignoring me. So what do I do, I get into a play fight with him. We toss and turn on my bed fighting to become the champion. Felix was tickling me as his tactic, and I was kicking for my tactic.
In the end Felix ended up underneath me while I sat on him in victory. I took the chance while he was catching his breath, and I was on top of him to quickly lift his shirt and see his abs.
Felix's eyes widened with disbelief and I started blushing while staring at his abs. I honestly didn't think I would got turned on by seeing his abs. I've seen him shirtless many times as a kid.
"Y/n, y/n don't. Stop please y/n!" I didn't hear his pleads for me to stop whatever I was doing, or more I was to focused on his abs I forgot he was there; my hand was slowly going torwards his abs and I couldn't stop myself I was drawn to them.
I finally touched them, but I was a blushing mess. My fingers instinctively started tracing each abdominal muscles and gliding over his skin, till I was knocked out of my hypnotized state by my wrist being grabbed and pulled away.
I looked Felix dead in the eyes, he was also looking into my eyes. I started scanning his body from his eyes, to his neck, to his abs, back up to his arms, then his hand that was attached to my wrist. I gasped and pulled my wrist away, pushing myself up trying to get off of Felix but failing and landing somewhere bad.
As I landed I felt him, it, his hard on, or his dick. I froze and my entire body heated up as I heard Felix grunt deeply. I looked at his face and was hypnotized by his flushed cheeks, dark, and now cloudy eyes.
The next thing I know is he grabbed my wrist again and pulled me down on top of him. Our faces were barely an two cenimeters apart and my hands ended up grabbing his shoulders as our bodies were pressed together.
"May I?" Felix said in his deep voice while looking at my lips and I just nodded my head and within a second our lips were connected. At first our lips were just touching then, Felix started actually kissing me and I started returning the favor. The kiss grew more intense and passionate, biting and sucking on each others lips. Then our tongues, they moved together insync, connected as one desperately needing more and more.
I started getting frustrated with how needy I was and my lower half started moving on its on, grinding against Felix's clothed manhood. "Mmm fuck~~~" Felix moaned out as the heat between us grew.
Within two moments Felix was ontop of me kissing down my neck, gropping my clothed breasts, and grinding down on me desperate for friction. "Ngh~ Felix I want m-more than just this make out session," I moaned out breathily as I tugged his shirt over his head. Felix then pushed my shirt up revealing my stomach but not all the way to the point my breasts would be revealed and he said while kissing and leaving marks on my stomach, "Y/n, I really have been waiting forever for this, but I don't want to go too fast but if it's want you want as well, then screw taking time I can make you a mess right here and now!!"
I was a mess as he said I had never been kissed and touched this way before, I have never had someone leave hickies all over my stomach, and make me feel this way. I looked down at him with hooded lustful eyes and he was looking right back at me admiring every expression and reaction I made in response to his heavenly touch.
Before I realized it, he had pulled off my joggers and panties; his tongue was instantly on my core. I moaned out loudly and my body tensed while my back arched.
Felix's left hand was gripping my waist while his right was holding my right leg over his shoulder. "F-F-Felix!!! It feels so good!" I exclaimed in pleasure. His tongue was working magic licking between my folds, stimulating my clit, and exploring as far as it could reach into my pussy. My hands were tangled in his hair while he was making me feel, oh so good!
Before I could do anything else a knot formed in my stomach it was unbearable, "I'm gonna cum, D-Daddy I'm gonna cum!" I yelled in pleasure and Felix looked up to me shocked and said, "Then do it cum in my mouth just like you're supposed to." Him saying that triggered something and I came, releasing all my fluids into Felix's mouth as he made sure to lick it all up and swallow it.
"You sure do taste good princess." He said as he came back up to kiss me. As he finally lifted up my shirt over my head and took off my bra. I unbuttoned his pants and he pulled them off after he was done with declothing me.
Felix took one of my nipples into his mouth and the his other hand was playing with and sending jolts of pleasure through my body making me whimper out my thoughts, "Felix you haven't came yet, let me make you come."
Right as I said that he flipped us back over and grabbed my hair and pushed his dick into my mouth. At first I was a gagging mess but after him thrusting into my mouth a few times I took over. He threw his head back moaning in pleasure and squeezing a fistfull of my hair as I took in his cock, slowly taking in all of it deepthroating him, sucking he tip kissing and licking up and down his hard dick. "Fuck baby you're so good at this, this can't be the first time you've done this your making me so weak" The desperate man moaned out and I hummed in response while taking him in. Which caused him to release and shoot his seeds down my throat with no warning, but I did my best to swallow ever ounce of his sweet cum.
Felix pulled me up to face level and said, "I really want to fuck you, i want to make you mine forever, I want you to be the one I crave everyday, I want, no I need you to be my girlfriend, and I can't fuck you unless you say yes. I wouldn't want to take something another man is supposed to take that's not mine to have." I just kissed him in response and said, "Of course I'll be yours I've had a crush on you since we were ten!"
With that being said Felix flipped me over and lined up his dick with my entrance and told me, "This is gonna hurt tap my shoulder three times when I can make a next move after I'm inside you, I don't want you to hurt too much but it's unavoidable." Finally he pushed in and instantly I was tearing up it was like I was being ripped it hurt and burned so bad and tears were falling down my face. "Shhhh, it's okay I'm trying to not hurt you, I love you so much baby, it'll feel good soon I promise, you're so beautiful, I can't believe someone so beautiful as you is now my princess." Felix stated while wiping away and kissing my tears, and kissing my neck leaving more hickies to distract the pain.
After a few minutes I tapped on his shoulder three times as he said to do when I was ready. He instantly started to move slowly; looking into my eyes for signs of pain. To no surprise he was right the pain was fading and I started to crave for more so I moaned out of breath, "I want more daddy, give me more, I want to feel all of your cock pounding me!" He quickly sped up his pace and penetrated deeper making both of us a moaning mess. The sound of skin slapping, moans, grunts, whimpers and words of love filled the room making a symphony.
"You are so fucking tight princess. I fucking love you!" Felix grunted as he pushed as deep as he could inside me yearning for more pleasure. I whimpered in response unable to talk for Felix pounding into my pussy.
While he was fucking the life out of me he pushed his tongue back into my mouth making us completely one, he then sucked on my tongue before moving to my earlobe biting and licking making me moan out even more.
I was sad once he pulled away and pulled out his dick but he then demanded, "Get on your hands and knees now my little slut!" So I did as he said.
Right as I did so, he pushed my back down and perked my ass up, slightly spreading my legs apart and pulling on my hair he thrusted into my vagina full force using his one free hand to pull me into him as he thrusted into me. His actions made me scream out in pleasure and weak; my thighs felt like they were gonna give out and Felix noticed so he supported my body but kept thrust into me with all his might.
That one knot in my stomach was forming again and it was way more intense than the last time so I whimpered out, "I-I'm close I need to cum again" Felix moaned out, "Hold on just a few more seconds I'm close too princess I want to o-orgasm with you...." Three seconds later he yelled "Now!" We both came together, he pulled out and came all over my back and I released my juices that were now dripping onto the bed.
Felix cleaned himself and I, putting back on our clothes, then cleaned the bed and mess he and I made. "I want to cuddle... Don't go to the guest room stay with me daddy!"
He just giggled and got under the bed covers with me while saying, "I never said I was going to the guest room but right now I want to know.... since when did you have a daddy kink hmmmmm?!?!?!?" I instantly flushed red and he snicker while I stuttered out, "I-I-I called you daddy? I didn't realize fuck I need to control my mouth, your disgusted aren't you, I'm sorry I won't do it again."
I pouted and he just laughed and pulled me close to him holding me in his embrace as he said, "No, princess I loved it you can call me Daddy whenever you please, and we should really have sleepovers more often when your mom and dad are out for business a few hours, now that you are mine, I really enjoyed this sleepover!"

Goo Hara's story is one of the most tragic and rough in kpop history. And in light of the recent events, I'd like to share it.
It's pretty possible that most of you (ppl who weren't around for 2nd generation prime) dont know Goo Hara or her legendary group KARA. The group was among the top three girl groups nation wise, and number one in Japan.
But when KARA debuted it wasn't very popular, so when one member left, the company saw the opportunity to revamp the group and they added two new members. One of those was Goo Hara. She was introduced as main dancer and visual.
Hara's integration helped the group. Her innocent beauty in contrast to an effortless sex appeal caused men and women, children and adults, to fall in love with the idol, and this new fandom catapulted the group. Even though before debut she already had many fans, she already had antis too. A big portion of the original fandom rejected the integration of Hara. So from day one Hara had a strong individual fandom, but the group's fandom hated her.
Hara became the it girl of the moment, getting all the commercial contracts - this generated animosity from the fandom that questioned why she was the only one who was given the opportunities and why she did not participate in the commercial activities of the group. This did not weigh much on Hara at first, since she was somewhat accustomed to hate for no reason - in high school she was the victim of such extreme bullying that she had to change schools several times. She had the general public in her palms, so a portion of the fandom hating her was manageable.
But the love and support from the general public didn't last long, as netizens searched the internet to find something to destroy her and succeeded. They found Hara's teenage blog from before she was and idol, and in it they found photos of her in a hostel on her 17th birthday with her boyfriend at the time. They published them saying that Hara had had a romantic stay at the hostel and therefore she had sex while being a minor. And although the company denied it and Hara's friends said it had been a group trip, the netizens sought witnesses to support their accusations and thus began the gossip that Hara was promiscuous. This accusations gained notoriety when her relationship with Junhyun of B2ST became public. And so netizens invented her love affairs with many idols.
The situation reached a climax in Radio Star, when the MC asked KARA what topic they didn't want to talk about, to which Hara replied "dating." The three MCs started joking with Hara's promiscuity in a rather heavy way. And although it is well known that this type of image is harmful to an idol (mostly female idols) the MCs continued with the jokes. Hara tried to laugh it off but it was a comment from Kyuhyun that made her crack, being the gossip expert on the show, he said "if I said what I know, her career would be over." It was then that Hara threw him a bottle of juice playfully and then broke into tears. Hara was accused of being violent, unprofessional and disrespectful by netizens. And when one of the MCs came out in her defense and apologized for what they had done, the netizens said that "Hara's tantrums had forced him to apologize" and they hated her more.
Shortly after this, KARA disintegrated. But despite everything, Hara made a fortune as a commercial model. And there is nothing that netizens hate more than a successful, independent and wealthy woman. Especially if she achieves so despite public hate. And even more, if this successful, independent and wealthy woman is best friends with another successful, independent and wealthy woman (Sulli) that netizens also tried to destroy. And so, Goo Hara moved on with her life, even though the hate never stopped.
On September 4, 2018, Goo Hara (who is 1.64 and is so thin that she has been accused of being anorexic) was accused of beating her boyfriend. For the following week there were no signs of Hara, while the boyfriend appeared in the media several times a day giving interviews about it, and saying that she had gone crazy when he tried to end the relationship. He said he wasn't going to go public at first but when he got home he realized she had "disfigured" him and his face "is a big part of how he makes a living" (he's a hairdresser) so he decided to let everyone know the type of person she is. At some point the guy gave an interview in a hospital gown and connected to serum, despite having given interviews without these things several days before, and the hospital records shows he only had scratches. But despite being suspicious, the netizens did not need more, and cited what happened on radio star, her promiscuity and her friendship with Sulli as evidence of her violence and imbalance, and demanded jail time for Hara.
Time after that, Hara finally appeared on the media, which she had not done because she had been hospitalized due to the beating that the boyfriend (the alleged victim) gave her. Attack that damaged her internal organs to the degree of causing severe bleeding. Incidentally, there was damage to her intimate organs, so a rape is suspected, although it was never confirmed as such. And although Hara presented evidence and a witness, the netizens did not believe her, they said that she paid the witness and that, because she was promiscuous, her word had no worth. It was then that Dispatch revealed that the boyfriend had offered them the premise of the matter, then screenshots of the guy blackmailing Hara with an intimate video that he filmed against her will came to light. Just then the netizens decided to listen to her. The witness (Hara's roomie) came out to give her version of the facts: the guy had entered without permission with the access code and had woken Hara by kicking the bed. The witness and the messages proved that Hara had broke up with him and he wanted to blackmail her with the intimate video and threatened to end her career, Hara tried to take the video, and the guy beat her up. After that, he destroyed averything and anything he could find at the apartment, while Hara begged him not to publish the video. In the week that Hara was hospitalized the guy sent her threats and fragments of the video as blackmail.
For a while Hara had the empathy of the netizens, but the case was never resolved judicially, and the public eventually forgot what happened and attacked Hara again. This year Hara uploaded a photo to her social media for the first time, thanking the support she received in those difficult moments. And the netizens accused her of attention seeking, they said that if she was really hurt she shouldn't be on social media after what happened, and accused her of being unaware of the damage she caused her ex - who could no longer show his face in public. Soon she went to Japan to fulfill previous contracts and they accused her of fleeing, of indifference and said that what had happened hadn't been so serious if she was already working and she had made a big drama for nothing. Meanwhile the ex is active in social media and opened a new beauty salon, which was very successful. And as if that were not enough, the ex-boyfriend, Junghyun (B2ST) ended up entangled in the Seungri/Rising Sun scandal. And although it has been said that he was not an active participant beyond commenting on the videos that JJY sent, the netizens insisted that there were videos and intimate photos of Hara in the infamous chats.
After this, Hara uploaded a picture and netizens accused her of getting plastic surgery. Hara said that she had eyelid surgery for medical reasons and asked people to stop attacking her, but the netizens ignored and attacked her for the surgery.
May 25th 2019, Hara was found unconscious in her apartment. It was said it had been a suicide attempt. This incident, unlike others in the world of kpop, did not have a wave of positive and empathetic comments wishing her recovery, but the comments were insults, offenses and ridicule towards Hara. They even reproached her for her lack of success in committing suicide, accused her of faking it, said that the news were false to get attention and attacked her more than ever.
Soon after that Hara los her best friend.
This news were devastating but they were not a surprise, at least to me. I made a post about Sulli's passing asking people to support Hara, because I knew that she would be next. She had already tried. And she got hate for not succeeding.
A lot of the kpop fandom now wasn't around for most of the second generation mess. We had idols poisoned, attacked, and destroyed by netizens. There still are many idols victims of slave contracts and abuse but back then you saw the proof of those things regularly. With idols passing out and stuff.
Korea, specifically its treatment of celebrities is crap. Its inhuman. As international fans we should spread love for idols. And ask the companies to care for them, we should watch for their best interests as humans. What Hyuna and Edawn are doing, going on variety shows and doing photoshoots together as a couple is huge. What Mamamoo has been doing is huge. What Holland is doing is huge. Please support the idols who are actively fighting to change Koreas celebrity culture. ITS IMPORTANT.
And its important to know the stories of idols like Hara, Hangeng, T-ARA... because this idols were victims and where given nothing but hate. Hate that ended their careers or in Hara and Sulli's case, their lives. Hate kills. Haters kill. Not allowing people to live a plenty life, kills. Not allowing people to make mistakes, kills. I hope you read Hara's story and pay attention to female idols with a bad reputation, they're vulnerable in so many ways. And I hope that, in the future, when an idol survives a suicide attempt y'all wont ignore it like you did Hara.
REST IN PEACE🙏💔💔🙏

Let’s talk: The uncertainty of Vminnies
by Admin 2
What has happened in the past few weeks? Why is there fear/uncertainty/insecurity among vminnies? Has anything changed between Vmin?
Let’s look at Jimin’s 2020 birthday wishes for Taehyung on twitter.
At first glance, they are nothing special. They even caused some strange reactions among vminnies, as if people were expecting something grand or special. If we look at these birthday wishes a little more closely, however, we will find more "hidden" messages/meaning there than we think or realize upon first glance. Jimin wishes Taehyung a "happy birthday my friend/chingu" (a famous reference to Friends) and then Jimin adds: "let us live long and healthy". These are Jimin's wishes to Tae. That is, he (Jimin) and Tae (as the person who receives these wishes) should live long and healthy lives. Doesn't that sound like wishes for the both of them at the same time?
More below the cut:
Then everyone became interested in the cartwheel emoji Jimin used in his birthday tweet. We know this emoji from a past post Tae made when replying to an ARMY on weverse in which he described his great love for ARMY, how even if he’d outstretch his arms and legs it wouldn’t be enough to describe his love for them. What is the chances that Jimin unintentionally and completely coincidentally used the same emoji out of hundreds of emojis there are to choose from and that have nothing thematically to do with birthday wishes or birthdays in general? Usually a heart, a glass of champagne, a "100 years" or a flower is used for such occasions. The chances of Jimin accidentally choosing the same emoji as Tae for ARMY is basically as likely as winning the lottery, so to speak.
In my opinion, Jimin knew exactly what he was doing (since he always controls the situation and carefully considers what he’s doing in places where ARMY can see it) and chose this consciously and not any another emoji. Also Jimin loves Tae so much that he cannot describe it even when he reaches out his arms and legs! Regardless how you look at it, platonic or romantic, it’s simply cute and none of it shows any kind of sign of them having fallen out with each other or any such nonsense. This shows that he knows exactly what Tae is doing on social media and what he is posting, even if he himself isn’t that active anymore. The attached photo of Jimin, Hobi and Tae at the same time is no coincidence either. Whatever reason for choosing that one in particular he might’ve had, only they know, but perhaps by posting a picture of the three of them, instead of just a selca with Tae, he could avoid people trying to create some kind of weird story around vmin the way they’ve done in the past where every millimeter was analyzed and weird theories were created about Jimin trying to sabotage Tae etc. Also perhaps he simply chose that picture because they’re both close with Hobi, and we all know how much Hobi adores them.
Personally, I think we (as in vminnies) are right! Something has changed. I have some theories that may be completely stupid, but I'll write them anyway.
Taehyung is very happy lately. I haven’t seen him like this before, or at least not in a long time. He seems to be in such a good mood and relaxed. I first noticed it during the LGO/BE release vlive where Tae was supposed to paint Jimin’s lips. Later, during his birthday vlive, I felt that he was just so happy. So if Vmin has a romantic relationship, then in my opinion Vmin has settled their status. Personal life remains private and BTS Jimin and BTS V are members of BTS and do their jobs.
However, if VMIN aren’t in a romantic relationship, Tae's happiness comes from completely different reasons (professional and personal ones) unrelated to Jimin. In such case I wouldn’t though quite understand his Weverse spams and Jimin related posts, as well as things like him snuggling up against Jimin in that Winter Package photo shoot and other such situations.
If Vmin are just best friends, why are they acting so weird around each other at times? What's stopping them from behaving with each other like they do with the other BTS members? Why don't they show they are "only friends" like Tae with Jin or Jimin with Jungkook? As "best friends" they “should” even (in the name of the band's motto) demonstrate their connection and make their friendship known, as they did with their song. However, they don't. Their "moments" and physical closeness are rare on camera. Why is that?
My (logical) answer is that VMIN is more than just friends and that is not to be shown. Firstly, it goes far beyond the band, and secondly, it probably doesn’t fit with BHs plans. I don't want to say that someone is hiding them or anything. No! I think it's a conscious choice that Vmin and their team at BH made, for themselves (to spare themselves even more hate than they already get for basically as dumb a reason as breathing next to each other) and also due to outside reasons. It’s a known fact that gay relationships are an issue in Korea (and many other places around the world), as well as idols dating in general, so it wouldn't be surprise to me if even the idea of showing any of it would simply go against various contracts with investors, marketing, politics and the public opinion.
If Vmin were not romantic, not even friends, but two members that secretly hate each other, as some antis love to suggest and insinuate, then I see no reason for such strange behavior. Vmin are professionals, and if that were the case, as in bad blood between the members, no one would know about it or ever find out about it. We’d never realize it or even feel anything like that happening. If that were the case, Tae wouldn’t be posting about Jimin on Weverse, and Jimin wouldn't specifically point out things like him laughing all day thanks to Tae. After all, back in 2018, nobody suspected that BTS had gotten so close to disbanding until they told us about it, or that Outro: Tear was a song born out of the emotions they felt at that time. So if vmin continue to post things and say these things, chances are things are going well and there is simply no reason to worry.
And here I come back to my original conclusion that Vmin is simply something more that cannot be shown and that they don’t want to showcase blatantly to the public in front of the cameras. They don't want to give people reasons and material for them to go and create those twisted YouTube videos with manipulative alternative facts of jealousy or anger or whatever else they create for fake drama and clickbait. And yet we saw Jimin comment on a post containing drawings of him and Tae and complemented the person, which, among other things, makes me think that vmin is still very much vmin.
In my opinion, 95z is (still) love.
I know Admin 1 posted something similar to this yesterday, but I wanted to add my two cents to the conversation as well.

I Can’t Handle You Being Back~Chou Tzuyu x black! fem! reader {2}
Parts: 1 2 3 4 5
Pairing: Tzuyu x reader
Summary: Your first night as a Twice member sought you connecting with the women you once knew as trainees. Well into the night, you bond a bit with your group members, even Tzuyu would it seems doesn’t want much to do with you anymore.
Genre: Angst, Idol-Verse, Romance, Slow Burn, Hurt and Comfort, Best Friends to Lovers
Warnings: none
Word Count: 2, 380
Writer’s Note: There’s interaction with Tzuyu in this chapter! If have any Twice, Blackpink, Red Velvet or Dreamcatcher requests just send me a message and I’ll try to get it done. Hope ya’ll enjoy!
Odd wasn’t the right word; it felt unknown falling back into a groove with them. The only member I kept in contact with was Nayeon and Sana, even then we didn’t talk much. It only went to check ins on how music was going, along with the occasional ‘miss you here in Korea’ or ‘working with this American artist right now.’
Being in the dorms feels weird. I’m supposed to be a member now, I’m fortunate enough to have this opportunity again. (Even if this opportunity will potentially ruin my online presence; the Korean Netizens are still a handful.) That’s the least of my worries right now. Tzuyu’s blank stare continues to jumble up, down, left then right in my mind as I stare up the ceiling of me, Jeongyeon and Momo’s room. How the hell am I supposed to even fall into conversation with her? the rest of them? They were all my competition five years ago and I believed most of them to not like me. Of course it was the reason of being American, but also of being Black; a foreign trainee that quite literally stuck out from the others. From the welcome a few hours ago, they all seemed to remain fond of me (excluding Tzuyu, one that hurts the most).
“Y/N?”
I nearly fall from the bed at the presence of the few of my members: Jihyo and Jeongyeon stand in the doorway with huge hoodies and weary smiles aimed at me.
“Hey guys,” I say with a grin.
“Hey,” Jihyo says as she sits on the edge of the bed. “We just wanted to check up on you. You’ve been cooped up in here for hours.”
Jeongyeon crossed her arms as she leans against the wall.
“Are you OK?” she says. “We know that this is a huge shift for you.”
I nod and sit up to fully face them both.
“It’s more than I shift,” I explain. “I thought my K-Pop career was over with that Sixteen elimination and--” I pause to keep the image of Tzuyu and Momo’s tear stained faces from their own eliminations; they’re both moments from the program. Just being in their presence again, after so much success and growth they’ve had is nerve wracking.
Jihyo scoots closer and puts an arm around me. Jeongyeon steps over, kneels down in front of me and takes my hand.
“Tell us what’s on your mind,” Jeongyeon says.
“This a safe space,” Jihyo reassures. “We’re here to listen. All of us.”
I nod at her words, yet my mouth can’t help but spill words that should have been left unsaid.
“What about Tzuyu? She hardly looked at me.” I say.
Jihyo’s eyes softened; she squeezes me a bit tighter.
“She’ll come around, trust me,” Jihyo says.
Jeongyeon nodded sharply.
“Are you hungry? The managers dropped us off some burgers if you’d like to eat with everyone,” Jeongyeon suggests.
“Yeah,” Jihyo says. “We can catch up, it’s been so long.”
I agree with a hum, but I don’t attempt to get up when Jeongyeon and Jihyo do.
“C’mon Y/N, please?” Jeongyeon asks. “You have to eat and we’re teammates now, everyone needs to know how you’re getting through this.”
“You’re an idol now, Jihyo says. “And more importantly, a member of Twice. No matter how Tzuyu feels about the situation, you’re here and she has to accept that.”
I can’t help but giggle at Jihyo’s sense of authority; a perfect leader for Twice, it’s nice to hear that she sees me as a member, even though I’m still new to this.
“C’mon can we go?” Jeongyeon groans. “I’m starving.”
Jihyo rolls her eyes at Jeongyeon playfully before reaching for my hand.
“Are you ready, Y/N?”
My smile widens at Jihyo’s easygoing grin as she nudges me with her elbow and flutters her eyes. I take it; she erupts in a quick fit of giddiness and drags me out of my room, downstairs then into the living room where the other girls await.
“Y/N!” Sana squeals. She shot up towards me, embracing me just as tight as she did eariler.
“Uh, hi Sana!” I say while noticing the Mcdonalds cup in her hand.
Sana frowns as she sips.
“You all right?” she asks. “I forgot you’re American and kind of weird about skinship.”
“It’s ok, it’s just a little jarring,” I admit. “Being back here. You guys got Mcdonalds?”
Chaeyoung nods, hops off the couch from her seat between Dahyun and Tzuyu to shift in the giant bag of greasy (yet not as much grease as America) goodies.
“We haven’t really been studying a lot of American culture,” Chaeyoung explains. “But I do know that it’s complicated, especially with you being a Black American. So we opted with something simple, Mcdonalds!”
“We didn’t really know what you usually ate there, so the managers ordered everything for you!” Nayeon declares as she threw an arm around my shoulders.
My eyes scan through the various burgers/sandwiches, nugget boxes and an array of shakes; flavors range here in Korea, similar to how it is in other Mcdonalds across the globe. The gesture alone makes my chest warm, tears cling to the edge of my eyes but I stop them. They care; regardless what they thought about me five years ago, they still care about me.
“Thank you guys, it means a lot,” I say.
They all utter out a ‘you’re welcome’ in unison; Chaeyoung, Nayeon and Sana huddle toward me, pulling me in a mini group hug. Jihyo, Mina, Momo and Dahyun join soon after, squeezing me a little too tight.
“C’mon guys, let the woman eat,” Jeongyeon mutters through a few fries as she grabs a six piece nugget for herself.
As everyone plus away, I catch Tzuyu’s eyes from the couch. An instant but I got it: it wasn’t blank like before, rather wonder prior to her turning her attention back to the green tea shake she was consuming. I want to ask her a question, anything to hear her voice again but Jihyo’s words come back. She’ll accept it, no matter how she feels. I’m not sure how I completely feel about it though. Deep down I care about her feelings, hell she was the first person to build me up as an artist who could break international barriers. Even though they were teenagers then with over zealous dreams, it was nice to have some to dream big with (it meant more to bond with someone from another country and become so close).
“Y/N?” Jihyo’s question breaks me from my thoughts.
“Are you still jet lagged or something?” Mina teases as she nibbles on half of a cookie.
“Huh? No, this is still a lot,” I say. “What was the question?”
“I was just wondering if you wanted to binge a bunch of Disney movies with us?” Momo says.
I giggle at how enthusiastic Momo is.
“Would one of them happen to be Monsters Inc?” I ask.
Momo flushes, plays with her hands and glances down at the floor.
“Maybe,” she mumbles. “How’d you know?”
I’m the one that flusters this time: my chest grows hot as I scratch the back of my head.
“I’ve kept up with you guys,” I say. “You have so many plushies from fansigns and your dog’s named Boo, like the character.”
“You’ll meet him soon!” Nayeon coos. “He’s so adorable.”
“You could have reached out more,” Sana says.“We could have invited you on tour and caught up sooner.”
“Maybe I could have, but you know how weird Jinyoung can get,” I say. “I still can’t believe he granted me this opportunity. Ever since Sixteen I-”
With my pause this time, all nine of them granting me a look of concern; Jihyo grasps my hand again and gives me a tiny grin.
“Take your time,” she whispers. “We have enough time to catch up.”
The others nod and give their own sympathetic looks, except Tzuyu; she keeps her attention to the ground, face clouded what I cannot assume at all. (A face as blank as it was earlier.) I decide to finish though. It’s like Jihyo said, I’m a part of this team now.
“After Sixteen, I believed myself not to be talented enough,” I say. “It took me months to get out of my creative slump and write songs again. I guess my talent was there, or maybe I wasn’t at a decent level for JYP or Korea itself to accept a Black woman in K-Pop. I’m not even sure if they’re ready now.”
“They are OK,” Chaeyoung declares. “And if they aren’t, we’ll make them!”
I know Chaeyoung’s being supportive, yet I can’t help but giggle at how her cheeks puff out while she’s chewing on her chicken nugget. She’s so passionate that it’s cute.
“And if not, you aren’t alone Y/N,” Jihyo says as she softly nudges me.
“Enough about dwelling on the past,” Jeongyeon says. “Let’s start watching some films!”
“Which film should we start with, Y/N?” Momo asks.
“Hm? I thought you wanted to start with Monster Inc Momoring?” Mina says.
Momo shrugs with a growing smile and sunk down in the couch beside Tzuyu.
“Y/N should choose, it’s all about making her feel comfortable. Right?” she says.
I give her my best smile while I bite through the Big Mac, which I probably won’t be able to eat for awhile.
“How’s Lion King sound?”
Everyone utters in agreement: they all grab more food and sweets before hopping to the couch to bunch in while Jihyo grabs the TV’s remote. I glance between the end of the couch, where most of the maknae’s are. This excludes Tzuyu, who’s seated in the middle of the couch, dodging Nayeon’s spoon as she tries to feed the maknae some of her ice cream.
“Y/N! Sit over here!” Sana shouts, solving my dilemma for good as she and Jeongyeon slide away from each other to make room for me in between them.
“Gosh, unnie I said no!” Tzuyu growls.
I flinch along with Nayeon as Tzuyu rises and stomps up the stairs.
“Nayeon,” Jihyo warns. “Now I have to go talk to her. Go on and start the movie without me.”
She follows Tzuyu’s trail as Jeongyeon scolds Nayeon herself.
“Told you to quiet messing with her,” she says. “Not all of us can take your insistent flirting.”
Nayeon rolls her eyes.
“She kept eyeing Sana’s milkshake I thought she wanted some of mine,” she explains. “I know she couldn’t take her eyes off of Y/N’s buns either.”
Nayeon sends me a wink and I sink down deeper into the chair.
“Nayeon, please not now,” I groan.
Jihyo returns just as quickly, her face fixed tight in irritation.
“She’s not coming back to watch movies with us,” she says. “Let’s just carry on.”
* * *
We’re halfway through Monster University, and I keep nodding off every now and then. I get a bit disoriented when Sully popped up, then Nemo--who knows how many films I slept through.
“She’s so cute,” Sana coos. “She can rest her head on my shoulder if you want to switch unnie.”
Jeongyeon shakes her head as she pats my head and allows me to lay it back on her own shoulder.
“If you’re tired Y/N, you can go back to our room and sleep,” Jeongyeon whispers. “Momo and I won’t bother you, I promise.”
I sit up to stretch, noticing Tzuyu quickly grab something from the fridge and hurry back up the steps. Jihyo pinches the bridge of her nose, then sighs.
“Just let her be,” she says. “I can try talking to her later.”
I should listen to Jihyo, yet my body has a mind of it’s own. I’m on Tzuyu’s heels in an instant, grabbing her wrist in the next. She freezes; I do the same.
“T-Tzuyu, please. Can we talk?” I ask.
Tzuyu turns to me. Her face isn’t blank, but carries a look of exhaustion.
“How have you been?” I say, trying to start somewhere.
“I’ve been better,” Tzuyu says as she continues up the steps and toward her bedroom. “You should sleep.”
“I-I’m not tired.”
Tzuyu gives me an incredulous look.
“Sana and Jeongyeon unnie are so loud,” she says. “You could barely get through a couple of films.”
I flush at her words, at least she’s being somewhat emotional with me.
“I know Nayeon can be a bit much, but you could have stayed and watched--”
“Nayeon unnie was only part of the reason I left,” she says. “I needed my space and I still do.”
“What’s the other reason?”
Tzuyu’s face softens at the question.
“Y/N--”
“Is it me?” I say. “I had no idea that I--”
Tzuyu cut me off before I could finish, her face taunt in rage similar to how she reacted with Nayeon earlier.
“Of course you have no idea!” she says. “You were one of the only friends I had back then, even when elimination was imminent, you promised me you would have stayed!”
Her words are like iron branding marks underneath my skin. She’s saying something now, but how can I make it right? What can I do to make sure that I don’t lie to her again.
“I know Tzuyu but--”
“That’s the thing Y/N, you don’t know,” Tzuyu says. “It took me so long to get over you leaving. And now, I can’t seem to handle you being here again.”
The iron presses deeper and deeper. My mouth closes. Maybe I should try again later, and honor her request. However, Jihyo’s words come fluttering back; we’re a team and if Tzuyu has a problem, we have to deal with it. Talk it out like partners should. I flush a bit at the word. Tzuyu and I dreamed of being more than partners, it’s now a distant memory due to how resentful she feels.
“Well, I’m not over you Tzuyu,” I say. “I’ll leave you alone for now, but just know that I never got over you. You still mean at lot to me.”
Tzuyu stands still for a moment, face still taunt in anger but it changes, and softens. I would have stayed to see it, but I honor her request and walk back to my room.

Without you
Pairing : Hong Joshua x reader
Type : Soulmate au, idol au
Genre : angst to fluff
Warnings : initial denial of the soulmate bond to not hurt someone special
Word count : 5.3k
Soulmate au type : In which two soulmates are connected through red string of fate and they can feel the tugging of the string when their soulmate is under 50 meters radar.
It was snowing softly when he first saw you, clutching your fist tightly cause the gloves didn't provide enough warmth to your body. Maybe that's the reason you didn't felt the tug at your left finger where the red string was attached but Joshua did. As soon as he felt the tug he snap his head in your direction, his heart beating loudly.
There you were in your dull red long coat and a matching red beanie, black jeans and snowboots. Your hair were loose and mini snowflakes adorn on your hair like the lightening on Christmas tree. You were breathtaking he concluded. Never once in his life he felt such a strong impact of someone but then again, he was fated with you, there was a reason you were his soulmate.
He smiled at your annoyed expression, how you complained your friend and stomp your feet, you may have stomp on his heart with that too but he would never tell you. He saw you walking upto the bus and hoping upon it. He didn't make an effort to approach you. He just stood there, his heart beating loudly as he saw you going further away till he couldn't feel the tug anymore but that wasn't a problem.
You were breathtakingly beautiful and he knew he would never forget your face ever cause now it was etched right on his heart and he knew he would recognize you even if you were in the middle of crowd.
Two delicate hands cup his face diverting his direction away from you. His eyes were met with a confused ones silently asking him where his attention was. He shook his head as he put a strand of her hair away from her face and smiled at her.
"Nothing. I just thought I saw someone familiar but I was wrong." he smiled at her. He couldn't just tell her he saw his soulmate, not when he knew it would break her apart. She still looked at him, a bit skeptical which made him chuckle to avoid the awkwardness building inside him. He felt like he was being caught doing something he was banned from.
"Are you sure? When I was coming out of the shop I saw you staring at the same place for a long time." She definitely saw him staring longingly at something or she was just being delusional. How wouldn't she when she knew he wasn't hers in first place.
"Haeun it's really nothing okay. I was just thinking at that time. Let me drop you home." he held her hand as he guided her towards her home. The walk was silent as compared to the other walks they have taken together. Both of them had some or the other thing occupying their mind.
"Will you stay the night?" Haeun asked not sure about his answer as she hugged him goodbye, it was worth a try though.
"I've a schedule in the morning." he smiled apologetically at her as he ruffled her hair when she pouted. "I can stop for an hour or so though." her face lit up after hearing those words from his mouth. He was always so busy with his schedules that even an hour more was more than enough to make her this happy. She pulled his hands and dragged him inside her house.
Haeun was preparing food for both of them since she insisted that it was getting late and she knew he would skip the meal to rest more. Joshua watched her from the door frame before making his way towards the counter opposite to where she was working.
He took in her form, how she softly hummed her favorite song while doing cooking, how she would hop to get things far away from her reach, how she had a habit of blowing her hairs out of her face. He adorn her with all of his heart and then his eyes landed on the permanent black band on her forearm and his smile faded.
She was one of Minghao's close friend and that's how Joshua met her. He enjoyed her company and so did she, it wasn't far enough when they started dating, Minghao was reluctant at first about the whole dating thing not because he didn't support two of his close friend but because Joshua was bound to someone else and Haeun wouldn't ever be able to meet the person she was bound to cause he died even before she could meet him.
She was one close friend Minghao had aside from his idol life and he tried to talk it out but Joshua and Haeun already started growing more fond of each other to even make sense out of Minghao's talking. Joshua genuinely felt for her and he cared about her a lot. No one knew her more better than him which made Minghao step back and let the two do whatever they wanted.
Joshua was the kind of person who would let his feelings take control of him and don't think of the long run and that's why he wasn't sure how to feel about you now that you kind of came into his life. He knew universe would make you two cross paths till you actually meet and he didn't know how to feel about that.
He promised Haeun that he will be there for her forever and he would always dodged her question about his soulmate so he didn't actually have to answer her and always went on with the classic 'they aren't in my life and we will see about it afterward'. He was a coward he knew but he was so sure that he was going to be in Haeun's life forever until he saw you and now he saw you everywhere.
Unconsciously he would imagine how it would be like if you were cooking meals for him instead of Haeun or how you would laugh at his jokes instead of Haeun. The idea itself seemed so endearing for him but it broke his heart at the same time. Someone was going to get hurt in the end and he didn't have the guts to break Haeun after all she has been in her life. But you didn't deserve the heartbreak too. You may have look up to being with your soulmate since the time you got your mark and it wasn't your fault it was him.
He totally blamed himself and his spontaneous life decisions. He blamed himself for always going with the flow instead of thinking it through. He blamed himself for not listening to Minghao and this all things came into his mind after only staring at you for like 5 minutes. He wasn't sure how much his heart was gonna betray him if you actually come and talk with him.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" her question made him startled since he was zoned out and she laughed at him. He laughed with her and help her with the serving as they began eating. He can always think about the outcome afterwards.
"When will you be free next time?" Haeun asked as she waved goodbye to Joshua after the dinner.
"Maybe after two or three weeks I'm not sure of the schedule. I'll let you know." he smiled as he got in the car waiting for him infront of her doorstep.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
Seoul was treating you way better than you had imagine. It's been a little more than a year since you came to Korea as an intern and the life was pretty amazing considering you always wanted to be independent. Seoul wasn't new for you, some of your friends worked here and you had compeleted your high school here before going overseas for the college.
This wasn't your first winter here but it was late winter inclining more towards spring when you first put your foot in Seoul, so now that you were experiencing the winter form the start, you realised how magical it was.
You got up from your bed keeping the track of time. You were going to meet one of your high-school friend whom you met during the time you were returning from your workshop. It's been a while since you last contacted her but you did remember her as someone whom you were really close with during your high school time. She helped you in adjusting a lot and made high-school easier for you.
Generally you didn't like people of your past inviting themselves in your present cause you always wanted to have a totally different lifestyle without caring of your past. You kept only selective people in your life and other were just some part of your past which you wanted to keep the same forever. But she wasn't someone you would cut off from. She had done a lot for you to do that. And you both knew each other better but busy college life forced you two to separate but you were happy to finally meet her.
You had been spending the last week with her and she told you a lot about her current life, her work, her new hobbies, her boyfriend everything and it made you really happy that she found someone for her. When you were in high school and you got your soulmark she was devastated to find out her soulmate was dead and it was really hard to handle her at that time but with time she just accepted that fact preaching that she was happy that at least one among you two was going to have their happy ending.
Your phone rang from your nightstand and you took a leap to dive towards it and smiled when her name popped up, Jung Haeun, before you could pick up the call she hung up. You were going to call her back when you noticed she had left a message for you which you didn't read and maybe that's why she missed call you.
"Sorry babe, I'll be running late since I don't have a ride so if you don't mind will you come pick me up at the central building. I'm here with my boyfriend, I'll introduce him to you at the same time. Whatcha say?"
You replied a quick yes to her and that you'll be there in 30 minutes and got up from the bed to get dress and head out. You were just planning to wear your jeans and jacket and go but now that she was introducing her boyfriend to you the least you could do was look presentable you thought. And got out of the house towards where Haeun was.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
You parked your car, taking your purse and sliding it up on your shoulder you got out of the car and locked it. You sighed calming your nerves, you had social anxiety and meeting even a single new person was a great task for you. Haeun was going to be there and she knows about it so it will be fine, you muttered to no one in particular.
You started walking towards the building, glancing a bit here and there to see if Haeun was around or even a mere silhouette of a girl with a boy beside her. You were looking straight as you felt a tug on your left ring finger making you stop abruptly in your spot. It was the first time you had felt the tug and your breathe hitched. You spun around on your heels towards the direction of the tug and you saw a boy around 5'10 height head towards your direction with his eyes locked on his left hand and his other hand holding a water bottle.
Sweat started forming on your hands and forehead, you didn't know what to do at this point, the thought of meeting Haeun and her boyfriend being completely abandoned from your head as your feet started moving in his direction. He looked up finally locking his eyes with your. His eyes widened, he wasn't expecting to meet you here out of all the places and times. You smiled at him wanting to take another step towards him when Haeun's voice called your name.
Your eyes followed her as she appeared from behind the boy locking her hand in one of his arm and smiling at him. She left his hands and walked towards you stepping in front of you to engulf you in a tight hug. You smiled at her, confusion laced on your face as you hug her back as tightly as possible.
You look towards the boy again as you gently rub circle on your ring finger with your thumb a habit you had picked on since the time you got that string attached on your finger, you gulped as you faintly assumed that your soulmate was Haeun's boyfriend, you wanted that to be false. You pulled the string to make sure you didn't assume someone else as your soulmate. Maybe you had a misunderstanding, but all of your doubts vanished when you saw his left hand's ring finger moving along with the pull.
"You are right on time." Haeun smiled as she let go off you, holding your hand as she dragged you towards him, finally introducing you two. "And this is Hong Jisoo or you can call him Joshua."
You smiled awkwardly at him, your throat suddenly dry and all the words jumbling inside your head as you blanking took in what's happening. You felt Haeun nudge you startling you a bit as you saw his extended hand. You gulped before reaching forward to held his hand in a firm handshake biting your lips slightly due to the wild emotions you were currently feeling.
"Excuse her, she' gets a little awkward while meeting new people but once you know her she's a sunshine." Haeun laughed proceeding to tell him about how you two became friends. You three were currently inside a cafe which wasn't crowded at all.
"Yah you two aren't talking much, why am I the only one talking?" Haeun complained crossing her arms across her chest and glared at both of you. How were you supposed to be all happy when you find out your soulmate was dating your one of the closest friend whom you cared about the most and from the stories you have heard about her, he didn't have any plan of leaving her.
"Well that's because you are the common ground here so you have to do the most talking." you smiled at her as you put both of your hands on your lap and clutch them tightly together. How were you supposed to get through this. The whole meeting was nothing but awkward. After sometime even Haeun could tell the tension between you and Joshua hadn't faded even though she thought it would as the time goes on. Joshua's face was full of guilt/ sympathy or a mix of both you couldn't tell.
Haeun told you how she met him and everything else which she didn't tell in the last one week. She informed you about him being an idol and told you to be cautious while spilling his name in front of anyone else. "She's the only one aside from Minghao whom I trust the most and I'm sure she will never do anything which will put your career or me in danger." she explained Joshua referring about you keeping their relationship as a secret. He nodded at her and smiled in your direction. You looked towards your empty plate silently praying for this to get over soon since you could feel your emotions taking a toll on you.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
"Shua Hyung, are you even listening?" Soonyoung asked as he look towards Joshua from the mirror of their dance practice room. Joshua locked his eyes with the younger one who was clearly frustrated with his lack of attention during the practice.
"Is something bothering you or what, you seemed to be losing your focus more from these past weeks. You keep on zoning out." Jeonghan said referring to the countless of time Chan had to separately teach him some moves because he couldn't remember due to him zoning out.
"I'm sorry. I will make sure this won't happen again." Joshua replied as he sighed.
"I think we should call it a day and practice tomorrow. I'm tired and it will be great for Shua too rest for sometime. I think he has a lot in his mind right now." Seungcheol said with everyone nodding and retrieving back to get their things and head towards their dorm room.
Minghao looked at Joshua as he packed his bag, his mind wondering if anything had happened in between Joshua and Haeun. They aren't the one to fight, they always talk their problems out and Joshua was never the one to lose his focus during their practices unlike now.
"Are things getting wrong with Haeun?" Minghao asked as both of them stopped and asked the other members to go ahead. The older just sighed, feeling quite a burden on his shoulders as he stood in front of Minghao. The younger had stopped him countless of time telling him to not get so close with his friend cause he knew well that if Joshua's soulmate would make an appearance someone would eventually get hurt. But Joshua didn't listen and he wasn't sure how he was going to tell anyone about the whole thing particularly to Minghao.
"Are you just going to keep on sighing and not say anything?" Minghao asked getting frustrated that Joshua only kept on avoiding having eye contact with him.
"I don't know how to say." Joshua said as he finally shot his head up, biting his lips and internally trying to form a correct way to let the things inside him out. He knew he had to tell someone and have their advice otherwise he would get crazy bottling up his feelings like that. He decided to tell everything to Minghao. He seems to be the right one given that he was the one to knock some sense into him from the starting.
"Just say it. There's always a solution to every problem."
Minghao took in the way Joshua was getting more nervous the more he got closer to explain. At other times Joshua would just come and rant about his problem and get done with it. Did he do something so terrible that he can't say anything about it? It wasn't like Joshua.
"Did you perhaps met your soulmate?" the question left Minghao's mouth even before he could think about it shocking both himself and Joshua. But the former didn't even need an answer to confrim as Joshua look down towards his feet, his shoulders slumping down.
"I'm sorry." were the only word that left his mouth as he look towards Minghao. Joshua didn't know how Minghao was going to react. He knew that the younger one was going to be very angry. But he couldn't lie to him, he was not only his friend but a family too.
"Why are you apologising me? I told you this was going to happen. Did you tell Haeun about this?" there wasn't any point in getting angry, it would require too much stress and energy and Minghao knew better than letting anger take a toll on himself.
"I didn't. How can I? I don't want to hurt her after all she has gone through but I can't get the hurt clearly evident in my soulmate's eyes when she found out I'm dating Haeun. And Haeun doesn't have the slightest idea about it." Joshua sighed for the umpteenth time.
"Wait. Your soulmate knows you are dating Haeun? When did all of this escalated so quickly? You found your soulmate and she knew about your relationship even when you are an idol and your relationship is kept a secret?"
"No. Actually I saw her few weeks ago for the first time but I was with Haeun and I didn't even think of making an effort to approach her. Then after I drop Haeun home she asked when I have my next schedule and I told her about it." Joshua spoke eyeing Minghao from time to time. Minghao just motioned him to finish his whole story.
"The next day she informed about meeting with her high school friend who was with her during the time she found out about her soulmate's death. She told me so much about her so I asked her if I could meet her since she played such a big role in her life and surprisingly she said that she would like if we both met and we did. But it turned out that her close friend was my soulmate."
Joshua finished as Minghao just blinked, his brain taking a while to process the information. "She didn't utter anything about her being your soulmate to Haeun?" he asked. Joshua shook his head.
"She knows Haeun's situation and they were pretty close. She didn't even make an effort to even show that I was her soulmate. She just sat there blankly but we had a brief moment before Haeun showed up and I knew she was more than happy to finally find her soulmate before Haeun me as her boy friend and I never once in my life felt so bad about myself."
Minghao nodded, it was no one's fault. Even if he tried, how was his Hyung going to get out of this situation he didn't know.
"When are you going to tell Haeun about her? You soon have to break up with her."
"I'm not going to tell her about this."
Minghao groaned, exactly what was going on Joshua's mind to even say that. "So you are going to date your soulmate behind her back?" Minghao's question threw him off guard as Joshua shook his head vigorously.
"See my soulmate is already very hurt and although this is going to be painful for both of us, she is already hurt. Both of us can't afford to hurt Haeun. I'm sure she will understand my decision. I've promised Haeun I'll be with her. I'm going to keep my words. I know this is impulsive and I don't know what will happen in the future but I care too much for Haeun to hurt her. Someone was going to get hurt because of me in the end, it just wasn't confirmed who but since my soulmate is already hurt then I'll let that be."
"You can't do that with her. You can't hurt her. I'll not allow you to do so." Minghao and Joshua's eyes widened as they took in the site of Haeun standing near their practice room's door which was opened fully. The members must have left it just like that.
"How long were present?" Joshua asked as Haeun took long steps to come near the two boys who were deeply discussing.
"Long enough to know what's the fuss is all about." Haeun replied as she wiped her tears away. She was heartbroken but she knew this day would come and although she had been mentally preparing herself for this day it still hurt like hell. But you didn't deserve what Joshua planning to give you. She didn't want to be selfish and steal away your share of happiness. She remembered about the things you did for her and she thought of this as a payback of all the things you had done for her. Joshua wasn't her in the first place but she was going to make sure that you not end up like her.
"Haeun listen, I know all of this is effecting you negatively and I know she's your friend but we will get through it okay. I'm not leaving you. I swear you don't have to worry." Joshua said as he cupped her cheeks. Haeun shook her head clearly in denial.
"You are once again being impulsive Joshua. Why don't you just sit down and think through about the situation than going with the flow. I want you to think of yourself and your happiness for once."
At this rate both of them had started crying and Minghao excused himself informing both of them that he will head to the dorms as he felt like he was invading their privacy.
"Haeun I can't hurt you. I promised you I will keep you happy."
"Joshua listen to me......"

You were leaned against your kitchen counter as you waited for the water to boil. The countless days of crying left your throat sore. The emotional pain you were going through was actually starting to physically hurt you to the point you even search if people could die from a heartbreak.
You called in sick and the company you were currently working for allowed you to have some rest. At least the universe was letting you mourn properly. Your friends and Haeun did contact you but you just declined all of that saying you just needed some time alone.
You let the water cool down a bit before drinking it, immediately wincing at the sensation it created when you drink it. You got out of kitchen and headed towards your bed again. You had been inside the house for so long that even your own bedroom started to feel a little too boring for your like.
You plopped yourself lazyly on your stomach holding the pillow close to you as you let your mind wonder. Haeun looked so in love. You never once imagined you will meet your soulmate in such circumstances. He didn't try to contact you after what happened, may his love for Haeun was more than your bond. It wasn't his fault that he was bound to you, he had the right to reject you as his soulmate but that would happen only if both of you genuinely wanted to break the bond and you knew you were far from rejecting him.
Within these days thanks to your curious nature you found out more about him and his group. His music and voice was enough to calm your heart at the same time hurting you because you knew it belonged to someone else.
You couldn't imagine yourself being selfish enough to hurt Haeun and steal Joshua from her, if Joshua even wanted to be with you. You really wanted Haeun to be happy and she was. How will she react if she finds out her boyfriend is your soulmate? Will she be selfish and be with him still? Or talk it out with him to get back to you?
Fate had its own way and if you were fated with him, there was a reason to it. Maybe at the end of the road if you wait enough for him, he will come back to you?
Your thoughts were interrupted back as the ringing of your doorbell filled your ears. Your ring finger felt the tuck but you weren't sure about it. He couldn't be here not when he didn't want to show himself up after your meet. You weren't expecting anyone at this hour but you found yourself heading towards the door anyway. The bell rang again making you frustrated as you open the door without looking at the peephole.
"Joshua..." you looked at him, you weren't expecting him to even show up at your door step. He didn't even know your number. But before you could ask him to come inside the house he stepped in front of you stopping you mid sentence as he circled his one arm around you closing the door with his other.
You put your hands on his shoulder, unable to keep up your balance as he abruptly came so close to you. Bringing his other hand, he placed it on your nape taking a deep breath in leaned in pressing his lips on yours. Your eyes widened and you stood there stiff.
You felt his hand rub your back up and down to calm your nerves and he sighed in relief when he felt you visibly relax under him, finally kissing him back. The kiss was gentle both of you just enjoying the feeling of it. You didn't know what was happening but you didn't mind being this close with him. You didn't know if you ever were going to be this close to him so even if right now he was out of his mind, you mind didn't mind savoring this moment. You encircled your arms around his neck pulling him more closely.
He groaned but pulled away from the kiss, breathlessly looking at you. He removed the strands of hair out of your face before pecking your lips lightly.
You studied his face, he looked tired. His dark circle prominent and he was sweaty. His eyes were blood shot red, he was crying cause after crying for days you knew how the eyes looked like. You were sure yours weren't any different than his.
"Why are you here?" the question wasn't supposed to be this rude for the listener but you found yourself wincing at your own tone. "I didn't mean it in a rude way." you quickly added as you pushed yourself away from him.
"Am I not supposed to be here?" he asked tilting his head to the side and raise his eyebrows at you.
"It isn't like that." you said a bit too quickly for your liking and look away in embarrassment when you heard him chuckle.
"I'm here because of you, for you." he replied immediately looking down as you faced him. He knew he would once again kiss you senseless if he stared in your direction for long.
"What about Haeun? Did you tell her about us being soulmates?" us, the word itself sent tingles down his body. He like that us consisted of you and him. He liked the sound of that. No he liked the sound of your voice.
"She came to know about it." he said finally looking up and watching horror painted on your face.
"Then why are you here and not consoling her? Is she okay?" you asked him confused. Was she angry? Did she felt bad? Was she hurt? Were the words you wanted to ask but one at a time you didn't want to bombard him with so many questions.
"Relax. She was the one who helped me to figure out who I want to be with. She was right. I shouldn't get impulsive. When she asked me to be selfish for one time I couldn't even think about anything else than run to you. Without you, I can't imagine anything. Sure we don't know each other that well but I felt like I know you since eternity when you held my hand and I want nothing more than for you to keep on holding it till our last breath."
You smiled as tears ran down your face. It must have been so difficult for her but she still was the same Haeun from high school. He stepped forward engulfing him in a hug. You had him, you were more than happy.
"I'll always be there for you. You can lean on me now." he said as he kissed your forehand and rock you back and forth slowly.
"I'll always be there for you too."

Lee Mirae and Choi San were seated at the dining table, huddling over the steaming pot of noodles in front of them. Even with the heater on, the freezing winter winds seeped through the windows that night. The television was on, the evening news reporting anything that happened during the day. Aside from the reports of finances and petty crimes, there was the sudden update in the case involving a nightclub owned by a celebrity.
“You know, the more the police let people like that get away with what they’re doing, the more I’m convinced that it’s all about the money,” San muttered in between bites.
“When hasn’t it been? Times are hard,” Mirae replied, glancing at the television every now and then while they ate.
It had already been a year since the events at Kang Tower, where she faced off with the family that played a big part in turning her into what she was. A year since remembering everything about her past, a year since putting it all behind her once and for all while reuniting with the man she loved, Jeong Yunho, who also turned out to be a mutant, an immortal mutant that could teleport in the dark.
Mirae was a mutant, as was San, who was her half-brother. Both of them essentially had the same abilities, only Mirae’s was much stronger and she was referred to as an omega-level mutant. The two of them had the ability to manipulate energy and were capable of turning objects into explosive projectiles. San only channeled his through his harpoon gun while Mirae did it with lighter objects like playing cards. Although she never played card games much, she knew how to throw it. Both of them were also highly skilled at hand to hand combat, both unarmed and armed, and had an extraordinary healing factor that made them almost-immortal.
However, that was only a few of Mirae’s capabilities. Her abilities also presented her with one unusual power set, that was being able to trap souls. This manifested when her eyes would turn black and was likely a result from using her powers to the fullest extent. Her powers also resulted in her being able to generate static, that not only made her able to neutralize touch-based powers, but it also gave her a strong psychic shield, making her mind unreadable to psychics. Yunho was an exception as he was what her old colleague Ino called, her soulmate, and would always be connected to her.
San on the other hand, ran away from home when his mutant powers first manifested. He witnessed Mirae get taken away and interned in the sanitarium when he was younger. Years before reuniting with her, he worked as a mercenary, a highly-paid assassin. San had since put that life behind him when they met again and decided to work at the store after the event at Kang Tower.
“It shouldn’t be hard for those celebrities that get arrested for those kinds of things. They could do whatever they want and get away with it. They’ve got some balls to be that cocky,” San pointed out.
“You talk like you don’t have billions stashed in your clothes.”
“Those are my life savings, I kept 1,000 won every day since I started school,” San argued.
“And how much of those billions were your cuts from old jobs?” She raised a brow.
San wrinkled his nose at the comment and went back to eating. Mirae reached over to ruffle his hair, amused at his reaction. “Where’s Yunho?” He suddenly asked.
“He’s closing the store for tonight. He lost the rock-paper-scissors game with the other employees, so he’s closing,” Mirae replied, pausing to drink water. “Money’s the root of all evil, isn’t it?” She heard more updates on the incident in the nightclub.
He noticed the way she said it. “You think there’s something more to it? Government cover-ups?” He was curious.
“There’s always something like that, isn’t it? When a government official messes up, what does the media do? Rather than cover it, they release an entertainment industry-related scoop or scandal, whatever it is,” Mirae explained. “How much of those celebrity relationships were revealed just when executives or high-level government officials were being charged for crimes? Hyuk told me a lot of those were publicity stunts too,” She added.
San looked intrigued at his sister’s explanation. He wasn’t one for being interested in the private lives of celebrities but even he knew a publicity stunt of a relationship when he saw one. “Eat the rich, kill the parasites,” He managed to say, chuckling.
“Depends on who the parasites are,” Mirae pointed out.
They heard a rustling coming from the hall and Yunho appeared. “Honey, I’m home, and good evening to you too Sannie,” He said, sitting down at the table to help himself to a bowl of noodles.
Jeong Yunho was also a mutant, an immortal mutant who had the ability to teleport. However, his teleportation abilities were very limited as he could only do so in the dark or at night. His powers manifested when he was killed during a mission in Morocco, when he died in Mirae’s arms only to wake up shortly after they had gone and made a long journey back to Korea. Yunho was also interned in the same sanitarium as Mirae, trained with the same fighting abilities and seemed to be the only one who could match up to her with an added advantage of his height.
“We were just watching the news, another update on that case with the club,” Mirae tilted her head towards the television. The news shifted into a commercial that featured an idol group. Mirae noticed that the group looked familiar, until she saw the face of Lee Midam, her best friend and producer Kwon Hyuk’s cousin. Both Hyuk and Midam were mutants that had psychic abilities. Hyuk was a powerful, omega-level telekinetic that had some telepathic ability, while Midam was a telepath of what could be the worst kind - he could project a person’s worst fears and desires and saw how they may die if they were to die in the near future. “Oh, I see those boys are doing very well. Hyuk told me they’re all overseas now for a concert or something.”
Yunho sat up upon remembering something. “Oh yeah, I saw this envelope for you, placed on your desk in the back room,” He took out a long, thin, piece of paper and slid it across the table towards her.
Mirae put her spoon down to tear the envelope open. Out fell several small photos of men and women, including one of a police officer. All the photos looked years old based on how their hair was styled. Another photo was a wedding photo. Behind each of the photos had names and some information. The wedding photo was of Na Youngji and Ji Myungsoo, and it struck her as familiar. Myungsoo was one of the biggest basketball players in the country. Youngji, his wife, was among the top actresses. She paused as she read what else was written.
Na Youngji - Committed suicide by hanging in 2008 - murder covered up as suicide.
Ji Myungsoo - Committed suicide by hanging in 2013 - murder covered up as suicide.
No wonder they were familiar, she thought, and Yunho heard it as he peered over from his seat, as did San, both of whom looked at the wedding photo. Mirae looked at the other photo. It was of Min Junghwa, who played one of the mean girls in a very popular drama. She looked through the rest of the photos, realizing why they were so familiar.
Min Junghwa - Committed suicide in 2009 - forcibly hanged, murder covered up as suicide.
Na Jongsuk - Committed suicide in 2010 - murder covered up as suicide - brother of Youngji, carried her portrait during funeral possession.
Oh Jinho - Committed suicide by hanging - murder covered up as suicide - carried Junghwa’s photo during the funeral, accused of drug possession.
Mirae stopped at the photo of a police officer and turned it over to look at what was written behind.
Officer Kim Yujin - apparent suicide in 2015 - murder covered up as suicide.
Yunho and San peered through the rest of the photos she slid to the center of the table, careful not to let any soup from the ramen noodles spill on each one. Mirae took out a few pieces of paper that were also included in the envelope. It was a chart linking all the deaths together, including what was currently on the news. The actresses in the photo were all under the same company, and at the very center of it all was one name.
Madame Seo
“Who sent this to you?” San asked.
“There’s no name, not even inside,” Mirae shrugged. “What could this mean?”
“I think you know what it means,” San was trying to contain his excitement at the realization.
“It’s been a while since we did something like this,” Yunho eyed her. “Whoever sent this to you must have known what you did before, with the cult? And the Seoul attack?” He said.
“And probably the Kang mob too,” San added.
Mirae looked into the envelope. There was another folded piece of paper and a business card of a luxury fashion brand called Montague. Unfolding the paper, she saw it was a list of five people, all of whom were prominent CEOs, one of which was a CEO of an entertainment agency, Yang Ent.
“All of these men, Junghwa was supposed to sue before she died. All the victims were found with piercings on their necks and wrists,” was written next to the list of names.
She handed the note over to the males. San and Yunho gaped at the note. “Now I’m even more convinced we have to solve this,” San nodded. “But where do we even start?”
“We could start with these five guys, but then there’s this too,” Mirae held up the business card and stopped when she saw another note at the back. “I’m thinking we start at this place first, it’s Madame Seo’s fashion brand. Maybe this is a front or something.”
“Maybe,” Yunho nodded. “I don’t think we have a lot of time, but whoever’s doing the killing probably believes they’re vampires or something because why would the victims have holes in their necks and wrists?” He read the descriptions again.
“Serial killers do tend to have certain preferences,” Mirae pointed out. “It’s one of the things I had to read in university,” She mumbled.
“You know, since you’re taking that up in university, this could make for field work,” San said, making the two of them stare at him. “What? I’m just saying, you won’t only solve a long-running problem in the entertainment business, but you’d also have some firsthand experience.”
“So do you, and especially you” She eyed him and then Yunho. Mirae sighed. “Well, I guess we could check this out. Whoever brought this to our attention will probably be glad we’re saying yes to solving this.”
San cheered in his seat and went back to eating, only to sit back and cringe. “Oh, my noodles have gone soggy.”
~
Mirae was staring at the notes behind the photos and the charts and the list later that night at her study desk by her bed. Her laptop was open and she needed to finish her dissertation. Yunho turned the television in the bedroom off and turned to face her. “You should probably come over here and rest, you’ve had a long day, we’ve had a long day,” He said, rolling over to her side.
“I will, you get some sleep,” She said, eyeing him with a small smile on her face.
“I won’t unless you do,” He said. “Also, you forget I can read your mind, I really won’t be able to sleep unless you relax.”
“Since when has that stopped you?” She teased.
Yunho sat up. “Since I started being able to read your mind, which was almost right away when you remembered who I was,” A fond smile crept up on his face.
“You really have to remind me?” Mirae grinned.
“Mhmm, because it’s how you know we’re stuck together for life” Yunho was beaming. “In a way, you could say, we’ll always have some kind of connection no matter what happens.”
“We do, yeah,” She nodded. Mirae closed her laptop and kept the photos and the pieces of paper laid out on her desk. “You’re excited about doing something like this again, aren’t you?” She got up and climbed into bed, Yunho rolling back to his side with an arm outstretched to hold her.
“Yeah, it’s been a while, I’m starting to miss beating bad guys up and I’m getting tired of having to play bouncer whenever Hyuk’s group’s fansigns are at the store,” He teased.
“Are you still sure you want to work at the store? You could work somewhere else-” She was cut off when he kissed her quiet.
“I’ve been away from you for so long, it took years for us to be together again, I don’t want to be away from you anymore,” Yunho rested his forehead on hers.
“I don’t know, I guess I was thinking you never got to do what you’ve always wanted to do, you know?” She said. “Not that I know what you’ve always wanted to be when you grow up, but, don’t you have dreams to do something you’ve always wanted to do?”
“My father wanted me to be a dentist, I think,” Yunho tried to remember. “But I didn’t want it, I rebelled, but he thought that me not wanting to do what he wanted me to do was enough to intern me.”
Mirae frowned and ran her fingers through his hair. “He was that strict, wasn’t he?”
“Very,” Yunho chuckled. “He wanted things his way, not even my mother could argue, not even my brother, and he was the favorite. But no, my father always wanted things to be done his way. You can imagine how suffocating that was.”
“I can,” She hummed in response. “My birth parents were the same way, they liked my sister more than me. If not my sister, they also liked San more than me. When my powers manifested, well, they called the sanitarium. My father ordered them to put me through electroshock therapy, and the rest is history.”
“We’re really not that different after all,” Yunho smiled, nodding knowingly of the tale.
“No, I guess not.”
“Now, you’re a lot more tired than I am, you should sleep, we’ve got some snooping to do tomorrow,” Yunho kissed her cheek.
“I guess you’re right,” Mirae watched him close his eyes. “It’s always going to be you and me.”
“You’re reading my mind now, aren’t you?”
“Somehow I don’t have to, I can tell when you’re so assured,” She was grinning.
~
The three of them spent the entire morning piecing everything that was in the envelope together. It went to the extent that both Mirae and San drew up a diagram on a piece of paper noting each connection everyone had to Madame Seo to Yunho’s amusement. It made him see how they were related to each other. “There wasn’t any name on the envelope either,” He said, peering over at the piece of paper that contained the notes and the photos. “Whoever sent this also seems certain we’ll solve this and get this Madame Seo arrested with the proper evidence to do it.”
“That, or wants her dead, after everything she’s done,” Mirae said. “She was the reason why Ji Myungsoo divorced Na Youngji. He left Youngji for her, and then they divorced eventually.”
“Oh, and these actresses aren’t the only victims apparently,” San looked over at what he wrote. “They all came from one entertainment agency, and a few singers were also victims of this whole scheme. You won’t even believe where they all came from,” He reached over for his phone and showed them what he found.
“Kang Entertainment,” Mirae and Yunho read. “...That better not be what I think it is.”
“Yeah, I can’t even believe that guy. Is every Kang company in this country under the Kang Organization?” San was unable to hide the annoyance in his tone.
“Well he is one of the richest guys, it wouldn’t be surprising if Kang Entertainment was a subsidiary business for the Kang Organization,” Mirae shrugged. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he practically owns nearly the whole capital either.”
“He’s got a lot of answering to do then,” Yunho pursed his lips. “And then I thought he was really coming around, he gets involved in this mess.”
“Well, when we first met him, it wasn’t in the best of situations either. We found out he killed the CEO of Park Enterprises,” Mirae recalled. “Did the dirty work of the CEO’s daughter. She’s in maximum security now.”
“I remember that well,” A small smile crept up on San’s face. “We just found each other again when someone called you,” He turned to his sister. “It was something out of a murder mystery story.”
“Oh yeah, I remember that. One of the first times I saw you, but you didn’t see me then,” Yunho eyed her.
“So, I think we can cover more ground if we split up today,” She suggested. “There’s Kang Entertainment, Montague, and… Yeosang. San, you can pass as a model, you should probably check out the store. Yunho, you’re the only one who can get through to Yeosang without really fearing death so you should pay him a visit. I’ll go to Kang Entertainment.”
“As long as we interrogate those five men in the list together,” San pointed out. “We’re surprisingly efficient now.”
“We’ve always been, and it’s a lot easier with you two anyway,” She chuckled. “We meet at Viva Polo tonight for dinner and to talk about what we’ve found out for today. Let’s hope we get answers.”
The doorbell suddenly rang, making them look at the hall. “Who could that be?” San strode over to the monitor to see who it was. “Oh it’s Junhong, and Mirae, I think you know who else is standing outside,” He gestured to the screen.
Yunho and Mirae approached the monitor and upon seeing who else was with Junhong, they exchanged looks. “Hongjoong?!” He was stunned.
“I know. Well, I guess we may as well let them inside. Ino oppa’s probably foreseen or seen this happening, whichever one it was,” She rushed to the door when the doorbell rang again. Yunho and San crept by the hall, peeking over. “Coming!”
As soon as Mirae opened the door, Junhong was smiling, while Hongjoong looked a little reluctant but certain of his resolve in being here. “Ino hyung told us to come here, said you needed help, he saw this situation,” The taller of the two said upon taking his shoes off.
“It’s been a while, Hongjoong,” She said to the shorter one of the two. His hair was now dyed a very light brown and his fashion sense was now a stark contrast to the all-black garb and the sanitarium uniforms from the past.
“Yeah, a year since we last met,” He replied with a small smile, following her and Junhong down the hall, where he quickly greeted Yunho and San. “Yunho, it’s been a while too. I’m...glad you’re not dead after all.”
“And I probably won’t die anymore either,” Yunho replied.
“What kind of help did Ino oppa say you two would bring…?” Mirae asked this time.
“I’m glad you asked. Well, for starters, Hongjoong is your reinforcement. Apparently, the Kang family did more than just give your old colleagues some improvements, in fact it was an understatement as I’ve observed over the last six months,” Junhong said.
“What do you mean? Like they gave him powers or something?” San tilted his head in confusion.
“Yes and no. You see, the chips in the brains were one thing that I took out, and the audio trigger Ino hyung took out. Hongjoong’s now incredibly impervious to pain, practically built like a zombie, or a wall, whatever you prefer,” Junhong explained. “He still knows what you know in terms of combat though, one more person that could match up to you,” He eyed her. “But aside from that, he’s also gotten so much faster.”
“Wait a minute, I stabbed you with your blade thing back in Sky Sushi, does that mean you heal too?” Mirae raised a brow.
“Kind of yeah, just not the way you heal,” Hongjoong tugged on his shirt a little to reveal the scar of the stab wound on his chest. San and Yunho cringed.
“Well, if it helps, at least you fight well? You won’t have a lot of scars to worry about either way,” She assured him.
“Which also leads me to the other things,” Junhong opened the black bag he was holding. “I was tinkering in my lab again, and I thought I’d bring some things you should try out while you’re out snooping on whoever this Madame Seo is,” He handed her a roll of what looked like small, black poker chips.
“What’s this?”
“Hongjoong told me about some of the gadgets you all once had back in those missions of yours, and I was so intrigued that I built my own. I guess you know how to use them?”
Mirae glanced at Hongjoong, whose face was expressionless, as if also intrigued by what the taller had built. Yunho nodded, remembering what he meant. “Oh, these. When I whistle these explode,” She looked down at the chips again, feeling the cool, marble-like texture of each one under her fingertips.
“Bingo,” Junhong grinned. “Here are more communicators. The ones I had you test before went through some improvements. I’ll be a call away if you need anything. Last but not the least, here,” He brought out a small wooden box and handed it over to Yunho.
Yunho opened the box, revealing a set of test tubes and a few bottles of some solution. “A chemistry set?”
“More or less, for sudden findings, you never know what needs to be collected,” Junhong shrugged. “It was Ino hyung’s idea to give you that,” He added right away.
“I’m not surprised one bit,” Mirae shook her head. “But to make sure, we’ll go ahead and bring the samples to you anyway.”
“That might probably be the best idea,” Junhong nodded, feeling assured by her words. “So, what were you three planning to do today again?”
“We were thinking of splitting up in our investigation today. San will be going to Madame Seo’s fashion label, Yunho will be paying Yeosang a visit to ask him what he knows, and I will be going to Kang Entertainment. All the actresses that were killed came from that one company, which might have been owned by Yeosang’s company too,” Mirae explained.
“We’ll interrogate the five guys in that list Min Junghwa left before she died together,” Yunho finished. “Hopefully tonight but we can’t be sure.”
“Well, you will cover more ground in one day that way,” Junhong nodded.
“Hongjoong, you might want to go with San to the fashion label, but we’ll explain on the way to where we need to go,” Mirae suggested.
“Got it.”
“Everyone armed and ready?” Mirae glanced at the two other males.
San lifted his coat to reveal his harpoon fitted into a holster and the extra blades and the ropes carefully inserted in other parts of the belt. Yunho did the same, revealing the holsters in his jeans that had his trusty sai. To their surprise, Hongjoong lifted up the sleeves of his jacket, revealing the blades that were activated by the fingerless gloves he was wearing. Junhong beamed with pride at his invention being brandished.
“So, I guess this means we’re on,” Mirae said.

546 Days Without You — Eleven: Day 412
Pairing — Seokjin x Reader
Tags — boyfriend!Seokjin, older brother!Yoongi, producer/songwriter!MC, military au (ish), idol au (ish)
Genre — fluff, angst
Word Count — 3.1k
Summary — Kim Seokjin is your entire world, and that world falls apart the moment he and your older brother Yoongi are conscripted into the South Korean military.
Part — 11 / 15
Warnings — minor language
Previous — Next
Days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months. Time flies by as you travel from Korea to Europe, then to the Americas, then to Australia. In the four months that have passed, the amount of concerts has crossed over two-dozen. You've crossed into at least half as many countries across six continents, and this is only the half-way point.
Shortly after the new year, the group finds itself emptying out of the plane. Having landed in Nagoya minutes before, at an ungodly hour of the morning, you struggle to keep yourself awake. Gravity pulls your body towards the earth. The soft rain falls, creating a lullaby for the weary souls trekking towards the ride to the hotel. You'd like nothing more than to let the ground swallow you whole.
Tour has left most of the members worse for the wear, despite the joy and fulfillment that it brings on an almost daily basis. You considered it a gift from the gods that you had a whole 36 hours before the show. Everyone needed a good shower, a proper meal, and a long night's sleep after leaving Melbourne after the last show. If the next concert was going to be a success, the boys and you needed it desperately.
Along with some cheering up. It isn't lost on you that this is the last show for the next month. After Nagoya, you'll all be heading back to Seoul, where Hoseok and Namjoon will begin final preparations for enlistment. Their date is just under a month away; once mid-February arrives, you'll be saying goodbye to two more members.
It's the thought that's consumed your mind as of late. A lot has happened since Seokjin and Yoongi were conscripted; over a year has passed. Both the time and space have allowed you to reevaluate your stance on conscription.
A soft hand shakes your shoulder, bringing you out of your quasi-dream state and back to the moment. Jimin offers you a hand, assisting you in stepping from the car. The hotel is dimly lit against the Nagoya sky, and the famous castle stands high against the horizon. Any other night you might stay and admire for longer, as this city was one of Seokjin's favorites, but you willfully allow your closest friend to tug you into the building.
As Sejin checks the group in for the next few nights, you throw your arms around Hoseok's neck, mumbling, "Up, up."
The brunet bends down, scooping you up and cradling you against his back. Hands under your thighs, arms around his shoulders, head lulling against the crook of his neck, you welcome his comfort — quite literally with open arms. The youngest member kindly grabs your suitcase. Breathing deeply, your eyes flutter shut once again.
"Jungkookie's right," you slur on the short elevator ride to the upper floor. "You do smell nice."
Hoseok's laugh reverberates through his body, one of the greatest sounds turned to one of the greatest feelings. It's joy taken physical form.
"You're so cute when you're delirious," he chuckles.
"Don't make me out-rap you next time we perform. I have no problem taking my brother's place in 'UGH.'"
Hoseok slides the key to one of the rooms. "Oooh? Threatening me now, are we?"
Nodding against his shoulder, you tighten your arms when he tries to put you down. "M'comfy."
"[Y/n]-ahhh."
"Fiiine."
You drop your clingy arms from around his neck, and Hoseok settles you onto the queen bed in the center of the room. Jungkook drops off your suitcase, giving a small wave before departing for his suite across the hall.
A sudden vibration originating from your jacket pocket causes you to stir. A soft, quiet chorus from Seokjin's last song plays. Your exhaustion suddenly fading, you tug the phone from your pocket. Your boyfriend's face glows on the screen, giving you the option to accept or decline a face-to-face.
A grin spreads across your face, and you accept without hesitation. The call connects, and suddenly you're able to see him. He's already dressed in uniform, the patches on his collar revealing yet another promotion that happened over the new year. This status gives him even more freedom than before, and he can pretty much call you whenever he wants. Yoongi has reached the same status, although he tends to send you more voice memos than actual calls. Just like the two of you used to do.
Seokjin laughs, eyes crinkling up at the corners, at the sight of you on your side. Cheeks mushed up against the pillow, eyes barely open, curled up into a fetal position, you must be a sight for sore eyes.
"Just landed, I see?"
"Shut up," you murmur.
"You look exhausted, Jagi."
"That's because she is, hyung," Hoseok interrupts from across the room. He's finished dragging his suitcase into the room, then opens the door that leads to the other bedroom in the other suite. "Can't you call some other time? We're about to crash."
You roll your eyes and snicker. "Someone's getting cranky."
"He's right,"
Seokjin chuckles, bringing your attention back to his face.
"I just got up, and I wanted to check in, make sure you got to Nagoya safely. That's all. Don't want to keep you up."
Giving a thumbs-up, you force a smile and pull yourself into a sitting position. "Never better! Slept the whole way. How the hell are you up so early?"
"You know me: I'm always the early bird!"
"Yeah, except the earlier you get up, the more chaotic you are. Remember the punching bag and yoga mat incident?"
"Well—"
"—Or the time you about choked on mangos, after calling yourself elegant?"
"Aish! I get it! At least I don't snore when we stay at any—no, every hotel."
Hoseok returns to the doorway, toothbrush shoved into his mouth and an unamused expression on his face. He gestures with a flourish of his hand. "Wrap it up with loudmouth. I'm dead. We can admire your bickering tomorrow when we're human again."
Giving the older member a nod of assurance, you watch in mild amusement as he leaves for the washroom once again. Turning your eyes back to the phone, you find Seokjin mirroring your playful, mischievous expression.
"We're the worst, aren't we?"
"Oh, definitely."
Seokjin sighs, then straightens his posture.
"Do me a quick favor before I hand up?"
"For you, anything."
"Wooow, cheesy, [Y/n.]"
"Be quiet or I might change my mind!"
"Can you show me the Castle? In the center of Nagoya? I'm sure your hotel can see it. You can see it from anywhere, pretty much."
Your smile softens at his request. Swinging your legs over the side of the bed, you step towards the balcony door. Even through the window, Nagoya Castle is stunning. Once the door is opened and you step out into the crisp air, you flip the view around so Seokjin can see what you do. The lights around the castle case brilliant golden light across the white and green structure.
"Wooow,"
he breathes, causing you to smile at the screen.
"That's just like how I remember."
"Wish you were here to see it in person."
"You know I would be if I could."
Flipping the screen around so that he can see you once again, you ask, "When can you use the time off you've built up? I didn't think there was anything you had to wait for after your first year."
"Not on paper there isn't," he nods, running a hand over his shortened black hair. "But you haven't been back in Korea since before then—way before then—and I can't leave the country while on leave, so..."
"You can take a day off without us being there, you know."
Seokjin shakes his head stubbornly.
"Not vacation time. Nope, I'm saving all that for when you come back."
"We'll be back for a few days when Joon and Hobi enlist, their ceremony and such," you mention.
"I know..."
His sentence trails off, awkward and hanging in the air. Your boyfriend's eyes avert yours, and something in his voice cues you to pry further.
Tilting your head slightly, you lean against the railing of the balcony. "Why the hesitation?"
"I'm not hesitating, it's nothing."
You cock an eyebrow and smirk. "You're a liar, Kim Seokjin. Fess up."
His lips pull into a smile, and his eyes flutter shut. Not out of exhaustion, as your own so desperately crave, but out of near-annoyance.
"I was going to surprise you, fool! I was going to take off those days and show up at the dorms without telling you...but I guess you read right through me."
To say your jaw dropped in surprise would be a huge understatement. Eyes gaping and breath caught in your throat, you gawk at your boyfriend as he bursts into laughter.
"Surprised, Jagi?"
"Um...yes! You—wait, how? What?"
"Korean, [Y/n]. You can rap for god's sake."
You shake your stun away, forcing watery eyes to remain held together. "You're serious? I'm really gonna see you in less than a month?"
Seokjin's laughter fades, but his eyes are still sparkling.
"Very serious. I've already gotten the time approved."
Tears prick your eyes, and you lower your head into your sweater sleeve to hide from his gaze. This only amuses Seokjin.
"Getting all soft on me again? Your cool exterior is crumbling."
"I hope you know that this is all your fault, you ass. I never used to be this close to crying all the damn time."
"It's cause you've been without me for so long, isn't it? I'm your cure."
The balcony door slides open, revealing a sleepy, disheveled, and unhappy Hoseok. He doesn't say a word, only glowers at you—whites of his eyes hardly visible as he squints—until you sigh, "Fine, I know, I know. Time's up." After which he nods once and disappears back into the hotel.
"I'll go,"
Seokjin agrees, voice lighter than when he first called.
"Gotta do some work sometime today."
You blow a kiss to the camera, one that he pretends to catch and hold against his chest, over his heart. "Love you, miss you, but you know all that."
"I do,"
he teases.
"Love you, miss you, even more."
The next morning, you're awake after most of the other members. The sound of Hoseok drying his hair brings you out of peaceful slumber, much to your grumpy chagrin.
"Rise and shine, sleeping beauty!" he cheers, already fully awake even before coffee.
You give him the universal sign of love and affection, otherwise known as the bird, and stumble towards the other bathroom. Hoseok giggles at your less-than-pleasant attitude and goes about his business as you struggle to get ready.
After stepping from the hotel room, refreshed and ready for the unplanned day, Jimin appears with a cup of coffee extended towards you. "Fuel for m'lady," he greets.
Grateful for the favor, you give him a swift hug and walk at his side towards the recreational area on your floor. Suited with a pool table, miniature bar, breakfast nook, dining and sitting area, it's a perfect place for the whole group to spread out and hang in the free time. Since the members and staff take up most of the rooms on this floor, you basically have it all to yourselves.
"So, what's the plan for the day?" you announce as you enter.
Taehyung looks up from his platter of local tamagoyaki; beside him, Namjoon continues to read the book in hand. "I don't think we've decided," the former states.
"The show isn't until tomorrow night, so we have time to kill," Jungkook states from the breakfast bar. He's piling every kind of Japanese breakfast cuisine he can find onto his plate. "Sejin says we can kill time here if we want."
"Or we can go out and explore with the managers," Hoseok adds as he enters the room. "I don't know about you, but I'm starting to feel claustrophobic."
"Agreed," you mutter. Taking a long sip from your coffee cup, you walk towards the breakfast bar and snag onigiri. Looking around, you make sure that the members are the only ones present. No managers, no staff, no cameras. "I have an idea."
At your lowered voice, you catch the youngest's attention first. Jimin grins in your direction, and you flash them both a mischievous wink. "Aigoo," Namjoon breathes.
"I think we all need to get out of here, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I kinda wanna explore Nagoya like a local. No security, no managers, no babysitters. Think about it--when's the last time we did that?"
"Went out without Sejin or security, and outside of Korea?" Taehyung asks, and you nod. He takes a moment to contemplate, eyes flitting upwards as he thinks. "Honestly, I can't remember."
Hoseok pipes up. "Since before Wings, probably. We're never really alone anymore."
Sensing trepidation from the members, you hop up onto the back of the sofa, perched with legs crossed. You press the tips of your fingers against the opposite hand's, creating a mirror image of mischief in front of your wicked grin.
"Here's my proposal. I've been to Nagoya a couple of times with Seokjin. It's one of his favorite cities, so I know all the best spots for fun. I also know how to avoid staff for the same reason."
"Yeah, you're an expert," Namjoon scoffs.
You hold up a hand in his direction. "Be quiet, Bonsai Boy. The Queen is speaking."
"She's spent too much time with Jin-hyung," Jungkook murmurs under his breath, and you choose to ignore him for now.
"So...who's going to take a leap of faith and trust me?"
Jimin mirrors your folded-hands, then slowly moves to rub them together with a slightly evil chuckle. "I'm in."
"Of course you are."
Jimin grabs the Taehyung and Jungkook by the arm, dragging them closer to you. "They are, too."
Seeing neither Maknae put up an argument to the contrary, you turn your hooded gaze to the eldest members present. "What say ye, Jung Hoseok and Kim Namjoon?"
Hoseok begins bouncing on his toes, clapping his hands together as he turns towards the leader. His smile is bright and wide, earning a sigh and shake of the head from Namjoon.
He gestures towards you with a defeated smile, dimples showing at the corners of his mouth. "Lead the way, Ms. Queen."
Having the agreement from each member, you clap your hands once and announce, "All right! Everyone go grab what they want for an afternoon and evening out. Make sure to grab a cap or beanie and glasses so we can blend in. I'll text the managers and tell them we're going to be hanging out in my room and that we want some alone time. Done it before, and they've never bothered me so I think it'll work. Meet back here in two minutes."
"How do you expect to get out of the hotel without being seen?" Jungkook inquires as he removes his arm from Jimin's grasp.
You reach up and pat the younger boy on the head. "Don't worry. I'm magic."
As everyone scurries back to their rooms, you text Sejin along the way; you give the listed excuse, and then grab a jacket and shoulder bag. Hoseok tosses you one of his beanies, and you pair it with your sunglasses.
Once reconvened, you nod for the boys to follow you. Pressing a finger to your lips, you tip-toe down the hall. The members follow suit, equally as quiet and sneaky, like a series of ducklings behind the mother goose. Instead of going towards the elevator, you lead them to the opposite end of the hallway. The staircase is unmarked and unguarded, but you've stayed at this hotel before on a previous trip and remembered it from then.
Opening the door, you usher each of the boys inside. "Go to the second floor. There's a fire escape we can take from there that will put us outside the building without having to run into everyone waiting in the lobby or the fans outside."
"You're eerily good at sneaking around," Taehyung repeats the sentiment from earlier, though he's smiling instead of shaking his head.
Your grin widens. "Did I ever tell you that my first date with Seokjin involved us sneaking into a theater to hear the live orchestra perform?"
"That makes a lot of sense," Namjoon chides in his usual passive-aggressive tone.
Once outside the hotel, around the corner from the entrance where most of the fanatic fans and insistent reporters pool together, you turn to the boys with two thumbs-ups. "Free at last! So, where do we wanna go? I know the best miso katsu place you'll ever visit. Or maybe we do something outside...or maybe a bit of both! What are we feeling?"
"We just ate," Jimin states, patting his stomach to show he doesn't have any room for more food at the moment.
Tapping your chin, you think back across all of the times Seokjin had taken you on various tours of Nagoya over the years. It's at least half-a-dozen times at this point, and on those days, you'd had a variety of adventures. Food, art, thrills, history: he'd shown you them all. You've explored the Castle and various other historical shrines and temples, and you've been to just about every food market and restaurant in the Showa-ku and Kita-ku wards. Museums and galleries have been ventured, as have tours of local wildlife and expansive parks. There have been many a shopping excursion, and you're an idiot if you think that Seokjin hadn't taken you to an amusement park or arcade at least a couple times. Holiday festivals, cosplay summits, local music--you've done it all.
But there's one adventure you had two years ago that's stuck in your mind ever since, the one day you both had more fun acting like children than any other date prior. A massive grin spreads across your face, and you grab the two oldest members' hands, dragging them towards the nearest subway station.
"Woah! Where are we going?"
"The Meijo Line!"

《 Boy Group Masterlist // ONEUS Masterlist // Series Masterlist 》
“Sunho, let’s go to school, alright?” you call out. Sunho runs out of his room, all dressed for school with his bag ready, and he grabs onto your hand. “Ready to go?” you ask. He nods aggressively.
It’s been just over two weeks since you arrived in Korea, and you’ve been adapting quite well to it here. You’ve spent most of your time reading to Sunho, who loves spending time with you. You’ve read him ‘The Kissing Hand’ about once a night as a bedtime story, and several other books throughout the week, and you have been taking him to school for the past week, while his mom and your shared father go to work. It’s easier for them, plus you feel helpful and you get to know your little half brother.
You and Sooyeon haven’t gotten along much since she yelled at you two weeks ago. Ever since she talked about and criticized your upbringing by your mother like that …
You’ve felt the tension between you and her ever since then. Your anger has gone down, but it’s difficult to see Sooyeon and not rehear those words she spoke. She hasn’t apologized, hasn’t even suggested that she feels bad for insulting you or your mother. You and Sooyeon have had quite a few disagreements like that since then, about stupid things like your screen time–you’re a college student on vacation and she isn’t your mother–and eating habits. Sooyeon started staring and watching you as you simply exist. It’s really as if she’s looking for something to yell at you.
You walk with Sunho to the bus stop you take to get to his school. The stop isn’t too far from your father’s apartment, so you hold his hand as you lead him onto the bus, and hold his hand throughout the ride.
After you wave Sunho off, and he waves goodbye back before joining some friends his age and disappearing into the school building. You hum as you head back to your dad’s apartment, hands in the pockets of your pants as you listen to music through your earbuds. As you walk back toward the apartment, something on the ground catches your eye.
You frown and move off to the side of the sidewalk, kneeling down as if to tie your shoelaces, and you reach over to pluck up the end of the red thread, lying on the sidewalk.
You stand up again, clutching the thread tightly in your hand. It’s been just over a week since you last saw the red thread. It’s a different day, different place, but it almost certainly is the same red thread. You look up, and watch as the thread, a bright red, runs down the sidewalk ahead of you and turns left ahead, disappearing around the block.
You frown. No one else seems to notice or see the string. No one did the last time you saw it, either. They continue about their days, stepping over and around it without even sparing it a glance.
You follow the red thread, coiling it up in your hand and rolling it into a ball as you walk along the path. Miss Sooyeon would probably be appalled by the fact that you’re picking up a random string on the ground. To be fair, you have no idea what this string is, where it leads and where it’s been. You have no idea how dirty it is. But at the same time, this is the second time you’ve seen this thread since you arrived here in Korea. Last time you saw it, it vanished mysteriously after you ran into someone at the store. How can you not be curious about this mysterious red thread?
You follow the string down the street, making sure to be much more mindful of your surroundings so that you don’t run into anyone on the sidewalk, and don’t get run over by a car or bike. You continue walking, and you see ahead that the string leads to a bus stop on the sidewalk, several people waiting in its shade. As you walk closer to the stop, you can see the string wound around the poles holding up the roof, and hanging from the ceiling. You stare up at the string, intrigued, and come to a stop beside the structure, observing how the thread is wrapped around the black pillar.
“What are you looking at?”
You almost jump at the deep voice beside you, and clutch your heart. You see a man next to you, around your age, black hair, eerily familiar. He’s looking between you and the bus stop structure curiously.
“I didn’t mean to scare you,” he says. He frowns, tilting his head to you. “Wait, you’re the person from the store the other week.”
Oh, that’s where you’ve seen him! He’s the man you ran into at the store when you followed the red thread two weeks ago!
Oh. Oh!
That’s embarrassing.
“Oh, yes, that was me,” you say. You can feel your cheeks heating up in embarrassment. “Sorry, again, about bumping into you.”
“No worries,” he says. “So how has your second week here been? Two weeks, right?”
“Yep. It’s been fine,” you say. “The city is beautiful.” There really is no other way to describe it. You’ve enjoyed reading to Sunho. You’ve enjoyed the small amount of sightseeing you’ve done.
“Excellent,” he says. “By the way, I’m Geonhak.”
He holds out his hand to shake, and you shake it.
“I’m Y/N,” you say. He tilts his head curiously.
“When I lived internationally, I had a friend by that name. Where did you say you were visiting from, again?” he asks. You tell him what city you come from, and his eyes widen.
“Your last name wouldn’t happen to be … Y/L/N, would it?” he asks. You nod.
“It is. How did you know?”
He laughs. “I lived there during middle school. If I’m not mistaken, we went to school together, and we were friends,” he says.
You frown, thinking back. There’s no way this man could be the Korean kid you were friends with, all those years ago. But now that you think of it, his name was Geonhak …
“Geonhak Kim?” you guess. He nods and beams at you.
“Yes, that was me!”
“Oh, that’s so … amazing that we’ve met again! It’s been so long,” you say, nervously rubbing the back of your neck. “I’m sorry I didn’t recognize you.”
“No worries,” he says. “It took me two weeks to recognize you. It’s been many, many years since we’ve seen each other, so it’s understandable. How have you been, Y/Nie?”
You smile at the name Y/Nie. You can almost hear it in his much younger voice, from when you were kids. His voice certainly has gotten deeper since you were thirteen.
“Not much. I just finished my freshman year of college, but as I told you, I’m here visiting my father,” you say. “How about you? How have you been?”
“I, uh …” He glances around before leaning toward you. “I’m an idol,” he says, his voice somewhat lowered.
“An idol? A K-Pop idol? A celebrity?”
He nods. “Yeah,” he says. He’s smiling almost confidently, but his rosy, blushy cheeks are telling you he’s a bit shy. “I’m part of the Korean idol group ONEUS.”
“Oh, that name sounds familiar,” you say, thinking back to where you recognize the name from. “Was it 'Valkyrie’?”
“Yes, that was our debut title track,” he says laughing. “Oh, have you heard of us?”
“Yeah, I listened to 'Valkyrie’. I liked it, it was nice,” you say. “So since we went to school together, you became a celebrity. If memory serves, you were into dance and used to sing. Nice to know it went to good use.”
He chuckles. “Yeah.”
A screech sounds as the bus pulls up to the bus stop. People line up at the now-open door and start entering, scanning their cards and finding a seat.
“Ah, that’s me,” Geonhak says. “Here, let’s quickly exchange numbers. Here’s my phone, just put in your name, and I can put my number on yours.”
You give him your phone and type in your own phone number, putting 'Y/Nie Y/L/N’ as the contact name. You give Geonhak his phone back, and he gives you yours back.
“Bye, Y/N,” he says, smiling brightly. “We should talk soon!” He waves before joining the line for the bus. You wave goodbye again as the bus departs before frowning to yourself. You came to this bus stop for a reason, didn’t you? What was it?
Oh. Right.
You look back up at the roof of the structure, but the red thread is nowhere to be seen. Not dangling from the ceiling, nor wrapped around the supports like before. You look down at your hand, but, once again, the thread has vanished. You glance around, but there is no red thread to be found.
“What … ?”
After glancing around for a moment, you settle with the fact that the red thread has, once again, completely vanished. Slightly disappointed by not figuring out the mystery of the red thread, you head back to the apartment.
You sit in your room, on your bed, working on your computer. You have a bit of summer reading to do for school, and so you’re getting a bit of a head start now.
You have your earbuds in both of your ears, playing all of ONEUS’ music on shuffle. After learning that your childhood friend is now famous and a member of a popular music group three days ago, you wanted to check out their songs. And you really like their music, their first album especially.
Bored with the reading, you take out your phone and open contacts. Geonhak hpad named himself in your phone as 'Geonhak 🐥’ when you gave him your phone three days ago, which you found extremely cute.
You and Geonhak have been texting back and forth since you exchanged numbers. Mostly just talking about school, life. You talk about hobbies and how you both have been since middle school. Once or twice, you mentioned living with your mother and without your father, but it was never a main topic of conversation.
It’s nice to think about meeting your childhood friend. Especially now that you think of how he was always so kind to you when you would come to school and tell him about what your dad did to you or your mom. He would comfort you, he would listen to you. And, from what you remember, he was generally just a fun friend.
“Y/N!”
You look up in surprise. Sunho stands in the doorway, carrying his favorite book 'The Kissing Hand,’ in his arms.
“Hi, Sunho,” you say. “Do you want me to read to you before dinner?”
“Yes please,” he says. You pat the spot on the bed next to you, and he comes and sits down there. He places the book down and smiles widely. You reach over to open the book when you hear the front door open. You swear your heart stops at the sound of the door slamming shut.
“Ah, sorry! I didn’t mean to slam the door!” Your father’s voice is loud, and you let out the breath that you didn’t realize you were holding.
You can hear Sooyeon respond in Korean from the kitchen. With your limited knowledge or Korean, she says something along the lines of, “It’s okay! I just made dinner! I was about to get the kids.”
A couple minutes pass, and then suddenly the door opens to your bedroom and Sooyeon pokes her head in.
“Hello you two,” Sooyeon says. “Dinner is ready.” She repeats it again in Korean for Sunho.
“Okay-yee!” Sunho jumps off the bed. “Let’s go!” he says in Korean. You follow him to the dining room, his loud footsteps echoing through the hallway as he runs to his usual spot.
The four of you take your seats at the table. You sit to the right of your father and across from Sunho, Sooyeon sitting diagonally from you.
Dinner passes by in a flash, and after you finish washing your dishes, your father pulls you aside. Sooyeon is washing her and Sunho’s dishes.
“Y/N,” your father says. You feel yourself stiffen a bit. “I heard from your Eomma that you’ve been being disrespectful these past two weeks.”
You frown. “Disrespectful?” You look over at Sooyeon, who was watching over her shoulder. She quickly looks back at the spoon she’s washing, and you look back at your father.
“She told me that you’ve been arguing with her,” he says. “You’ve been talking back to her.”
“She was talking about mom!” you exclaim.
Your father slams his hand down on the table, and you jump back, hands around yourself like a shield between yourself and him, your head down so that you’re looking down at his shoes.
A moment passes.
“Did I ask what she was talking about?” your father asks, his voice loud and booming. You don’t know if it’s real or in your head, but it feels like his voice is echoing off of all of the walls, both in your house and in your head.
“No,” you say. Your voice is so quiet. “You didn’t.”
“Right. Now, I don’t know what you’ve been arguing with your Eomma about. But I want you to apologize to her,” your father says.
You chew at your lip and turn toward Sooyeon, who is leaning against the kitchen counter. Sunho is nowhere to be seen. Your brain has gone fuzzy, and not in a good way like when you have your favorite food after many years. Instead, it’s like when your mind has gone blank in fear.
You stare at the floor, and watch as a single tear falls from your eyes.
Without even thinking about it, you rush to the doorway, shove your feet into your shoes as fast as you can, and run out the door, down the stairs, and out of the building.
You have no destination in mind. You’ve never been to Korea before. So you run down the only street you’ve run down before. Your arms are wrapped around yourself, protecting you from everything else. Once you feel safer and far away from the danger as possible, you stop and take a deep breath.
It’s dark out. The sun must have set only an hour or so ago. It’s also cold, because it’s night time. Not frightfully cold, but cold enough that a small gust of wind of wind makes you shiver. You look up at the moon in the sky, shining brightly. It’s awfully calming.
After inhaling the fresh air deeply, you look down. Lying there, you see–for the third time, a red string. One end lying at your feet as if placed there deliberately. You frown and pick it up.
It’s the same shade of rest as the last two times you found a red thread on the sidewalk. As you examine it closer, you can see bits of glitter between the strands that are twisted together to build the string.
You look up and follow the string. As you turn the corner, you see that the string leads to the bust stop right ahead. As you approach, you realize that this is the same bus stop you’d followed the red thread to two weeks ago.
The thread is strewn wildly about the bus stop. Coiling around the poles that support the rest of the structure, thrown over the roof and dangling over the edges. You can see the glitter on the string twinkling from the streetlight next to the stop. It’s pretty. It’s beautiful. But you’re still confused as to why this thread is here, why it was there before–twice–and why the thread keeps vanishing.
With one end of the thread still in your hand, you walk over to sit down on the bench within the bus stop. You look around you at the thread dangling around the exterior Of the structure. The glittering string is really pretty.
You hear footsteps nearing and look over to the side. Someone is approaching from down the sidewalk. You squint as they walk beneath the streetlight, until you recognize their face.
“Geonhak?”
The man in question is wearing a white shirt and a jean jacket. It is indeed Geonhak, and as you continue looking at him, you see that he too is holding an end of the string in his hand. He squints at you for a moment, then the bus stop covered in red string, then back at you.
“Y/N?” He walks closer, until he’s standing right next to the bus stop, and you can see he’s frowning. “What are you doing out alone so late?”
“Nothing,” you say.
“What–have you been crying?” he asks. You touch your cheeks and realize they’re wet from when you ran out of your father’s apartment only minutes ago. You quickly wipe away at the tears.
“Oh, no. I mean, yes I have. But don’t worry about it.”
“Are you alright?” He sits down on the bench next to you.
“Yeah. I just got in an argument with my father.”
“I’m sorry. Do you need anything? Can I give you a hug?”
You sniff. “That would be nice.”
He leans over and hugs you. You hum, and thank him after he pulls away.
“So what brought you out here?” you ask. “So late.”
He opens his mouth, then pauses. “You know, I’m not entirely sure. I went outside to get some air, and I followed this red thread … here?”
You look up at the string still dangling from the roof.
“Yeah,” you say. “I, uh … Is there a hotel that would possibly be open about now? I don’t feel safe going back to my dad’s apartment tonight.”
“I don’t think there’s anywhere you can go this late. However, you could come to our dorm,” he says. “We share a bedroom, but I could get you covers and you could sleep on the couch. I promise it’s comfortable. And I can help you get a hotel room tomorrow.”
“Oh, I don’t want to be a bother to you and your members,” you say.
“Really, I don’t mind,” he says. “Please. I don’t want you staying out here in the dark.”
“Would your management be okay with that?” you ask. The last thing you want is to get him in trouble with his superiors.
“I could tell them in the morning that you’re a friend and you needed a place to sleep,” he says.
“Oh. I’d really appreciate that.”
He stands up and stretches his hand out for you to take. You allow him to pull you out of your chair, and follow him down the sidewalk from the direction he came.
“My members might be shocked to meet you, but I’ll explain to them that you just needed a place to stay for the night and that you’re a friend,” he says. You follow him, your hand in his.
“Okay,” you say. “Thank you. I really appreciate it.”
“No problem. Remember when you and I would have sleepovers when your parents got into fights?” he asks.
You nod. You remember you would go to his house, or less often, he would come to yours. Your dad never wanted any of your friends to come over to your house–you didn’t know why–but your mom insisted on letting Geonhak visit. You can vividly remember when he and you would try to play games and talk over the sound of your father yelling at your mother for things out of her control.
“Just like old times.” Geonhak chuckles.
You follow him to his dorm building. He takes you up using the elevator, and opens the door to his dorm. Your hand still in his, you follow him inside. You can hear chatter inside, and as Geonhak leads you further into the dorm, you can see the source of the voices.
One of the two people in the room is staring intently at his phone, a boy with wavy hair who looks quite a bit younger than yourself and Geonhak. The other person in the living room, a brown haired man, looks up as Geonhak closes the door behind you.
“Geonhak, how was your walk?” The man looks at you. “Oh! Who’s … who’s this?”
“This is my childhood friend, Y/Nie,” Geonhak says. “From back when I lived internationally.”
“Y/N? The friend you’ve been talking about?” The wavy haired boy looks at you and waves cutely. “Hi. I’m Dongju, Xion.”
You wave back, smiling widely. This boy’s smile is contagious, you can’t help but smile when he smiles. “Hi.”
“I’m Kim Youngjo, Ravn,” the brown haired man says. He smiles a warm smile, and you would be lying if you said your heart didn’t flutter a bit at his smile.
“Yeah, this is my friend Y/Nie,” Geonhak says. “Y/N needed a place to stay tonight, so I offered. If that’s okay, Youngjo.”
“Sure,” Youngjo says. “Y/N, if you need anything, feel free to let us know.”
“Thank you,” you reply. “I don’t want to be too much of a bother. Hopefully I can get my staying conditions sorted out after tonight. I’ll get a hotel tomorrow or something.”
“No worries,” he says, standing up. He walks over and shakes your hand. “Our other members are out right now, still at the studio I believe, but they should be here any time soon.”
“Alright, I’ll get you some bed covers and pillows from the next room,” Geonhak says. “Youngjo, can you show Y/N around a bit?” He disappears into the next room, leaving you with Youngjo and Dongju.
“So that over there is the kitchen,” Youngjo says, gesturing to the area that is so very obviously the kitchen. “And that room is the bedroom that we all share. You can come in if you need anything, though you might not want to disturb Geonhak when he sleeps.”
You frown. “Why?”
Dongju cups his hand next to his mouth.
“He sleeps without his shirt on,” he whispers loudly. “You might not want to see that.”
You laugh a bit.
“So you knew each other as kids?” Youngjo asks. You nod, and he smiles softly. “That’s sweet. And you two didn’t plan on meeting here?”
“Not at all,” you say. “I’m here visiting my father. I actually ran into him–literally–at the store just after I arrived back here.”
“Oh? That’s quite a miracle that you ran into each other accidentally,” Youngjo says, laughing. He has a genuine, happy laugh. “Are you not staying with your father?”
You shake your head. “No. He and I … don’t really have the healthiest relationship,” you say. Usually you wouldn’t want to tell a stranger about this. But Youngjo and Dongju–who is sitting on the couch nearby–both seem friendly, and for some reason, it slips out.
“I’m sorry,” Youngjo says softly. “I know we’ve only just met, but I am her for you and am willing to support you. I’m sure Geonhak is too, as your friend.”
“If you need to stay here another night,” Dongju says from the couch, “feel free to do so.”
The door to the next room opens, and Geonhak walks in. He’s changed into a new white T-shirt and black sweatpants, and he’s carrying two large blankets and a pillow, stacked on top of each other.
“Alright,” he says. “I have two blankets and a pillow. I promise they’ll be comfortable, but if you need anything, you can wake me up at any time to ask.”
You nod. “Thank you so much. It should be enough for the night.”
Suddenly, the door opens behind you, and you nearly jump in surprise to turn to him. A very tall man enters, and freezes at the sight of you.
“Keonhee! This is my friend, Y/N,” Geonhak says quickly. “They need to stay here for the night.”
“Oh, thank goodness,” the tall man, Keonhee, says, sighing and placing his hand over his chest. “I thought you were a burglar for a second.”
Keonhee walks in further, and two other men follow, one much shorter than Keonhee with blond hair, and one with a much more normal height. They seem much less shocked at the sight of you, probably because they heard Geonhak’s explanation to Keonhee.
They all introduce themselves to you. The shortest one with light hair is named Hwanwoong, and the other man is named Seoho. They’re all kind and sweet and welcoming and friendly. You spend a bit of time getting to know them, exchanging numbers and talking about your time in Korea.
With it getting so late, they all eventually head to bed. Geonhak stays with you as they go. Once the lights in their bedroom have gone out, and the blankets have been set up on the couch, Geonhak smiles at you.
“If you need sleeping clothes, you can have this,” he says, holding out a large white T-shirt. You thank him, and hurry to the restroom to change. As you exit, you can see Geonhak leaning against the wall next to the couch.
“I hope this is comfortable enough for you,” he says smiling widely.
“It is, I promise,” you say. “Thank you, Geonhak. You didn’t have to do this. Your members didn’t have to do this. So thank you.”
He hums. “I sleep on the top bunk of the bed right across from the bedroom door. So if you need anything, please wake me.”
“I will.”
“Alright. Well, good night,” he says.
“Good night, Geonhak. Thank you for helping me.”
He heads to bed, and you watch him disappear into the bedroom. You settle beneath the blankets, and feel yourself falling asleep. You’ve had a long day, so it’s reasonable that you’re tired. Your eyelids are heavy, and you fall asleep in Geonhak’s T-shirt almost as soon as your head hits the pillow.

Not Alone | Pt. 03
Summary: Hayoon has never had an easy life. From a very early age she learned that if she wanted to be a known designer, she would have to work harder than most. After years of working odd jobs since high school trying to take care of her family, at the age of 29 she has finally been offered the opportunity to become a stylist for one of the top entertainment companies in South Korea: SM Entertainment. Little does she know that working there will change her life forever.
Fashion, idols and love all in one. Will she be able to handle it, or will the pressure of it all make her give up on her dreams?
Rating: M
Pairing: Jaehyun & Hayoon/Reader
Genre & Warning: Strangers to lovers. Angst, eventual fluff and maybe smut. Talk about depression and abandonment.
A/N: My first NCT fanfic. I named the female character Hayoon. Though I wrote her a bit more mature, you can change her name to yours if you want. It’s written in 3rd person. I feel like I should add the (obvious) disclaimer that the story is not real, and though the characters are inspired by the members of NCT, they are not the members.
PS. The name of the story is inspired by NCT 127’s Not Alone.
PT. 01 / PT. 02 / PT. 04
____________________________________
Hayoon watched from a distance as the three young men tried new items given to them. The group of people in the room were divided into groups of three, three stylist per-member. After working with the members for who knows how long, it meant the staff knew them enough to know their personal style as well as likes and dislikes. Hayoon tried not to let the pressure of that thought stop her from finding details that could help her find new options for the session.
“Today for all three members we’re working on the same promotional suit. They arrived tailored so we want to make sure the fit is right before we add anything else. Johnny has two suits ready, but we’re missing shoes that can double for at least one suit and one casual change of clothing. Doyoung has also asked us to help with an off-stage look for this week aside from the one we need to alter for tomorrow. He tends to go for more of a casual streetstyle. He likes pants and jeans and lose shirts usually paired up with sneakers. Jaehyun we’re dressing for his last pre-recording as an MC so we were sent a list of ideal pieces and colors as requested by the studio. He also has a photoshoot later this weekend so we want at least three racks ready for that.” Sang-Hee had told her this while the members dressed into their first outfits.
Hayoon was nervous, but she knew clothes. This was her thing, this was her comfort zone. She walked around the room looking at the members build, height, skin-tone, hair color and wrote all of it down on her notebook before looking through the racks around the room. She compared the color of the promotional suits trying to figure out if she wanted to connect those with the off-stage outfits and the photoshoot that Sang-Hee had mentioned before.
“They got into the building?” Doyoung looked at Jaehyun shocked. “Are you ok? Why didn’t you tell us before?”
“I’m fine. Security intervened and I ran to the elevator before anything serious could happen.” Jaehyun said lifting his arms up making sure the jacket wasn’t too short on the sleeves.
“I bet our manager won’t like this story.” Johnny said in English.
“We know sasaeng’s can come out of nowhere. It’s not like I can stop my life because of them,” Jaehyun shrugged the jacket off.
Jaehyun had left the dorms alone. When he arrived to SM’s building he was sure there was no-one around when he got out of the van, but he was wrong. A small group of girls had suddenly appeared and started reaching for him and his bag. Security quickly noticed them and tried to hold them back as he ran to the elevator.
“Would you like to try this one?” Hayoon suddenly stood beside Jaehyun. They both looked at each other. She held out a blue two-toned varsity jacket that had caught his eye when he was looking through the clothing racks.
“Thank you,” he took the jacket and she offered to take the one he had just taken off. He handed it to her and watched her walk back to the racks.
“That just means we have to change our schedules again.” Doyoung said buttoning up a new shirt.
“And security has to be tighter.” Johnny said pointedly.
Hayoon stood beside Jaehyun checking the jacket. “I like it,” he said smiling down at her.
She smiled. “I’m glad.” She moved to Doyoung and gestured for permission from the people that were working with him. They gave her way. “These are good for both dressing up or down. Fabric is very soft and breathable but can pass as dressing up,” she offered a pair of dark blue pants.
“Thank you.” Doyoung smiled bowing and taking the pants to try them on.
“May I?” she asked the staff that were surrounding Johnny. They all nodded letting her walk up to him. He smiled kindly at her.
“Are you the new secret weapon?” he said jokingly with both arms up to the side.
She smiled. “You can put your hands down.”
“Yes ma’am,” he straightened up quickly.
“Excuse him. He’s a little bit extra.” Jaehyun looked at Johnny.
“A little?” Doyoung came out wearing the pants. He looked at himself in the mirror. “Can I wear these every day?”
Hayoon picked up one pair of boots and one pair of sneakers. She placed them in front of Johnny. He looked down at them and then up at her. He snapped his fingers. “Totally secret weapon.”
Hayoon smiled stepping back letting the staff continue adding items to the boys outfits. Sang-Hee joined her. “I knew you could do it. You catch on pretty fast.”
“I hope I wasn’t intruding.”
“Nonsense. We wanted to see how you would interact with the members. People don’t know how important it is to have good communication with the person you’re styling. Getting to know the persons style, preferences and even their personality makes this job run so much smoother,” she looked at the boys. “The members can be a handful,” she said loudly clearly wanting them to hear. “So it’s important for you to know how to move around them,” she said to her now.
“Noona,” Doyoung pouted at Sang-Hee.
“Don’t noona me when you broke two shirts last week,” she sighed pinching the bridge of her nose.
“I admit I was partly at fault.” Johnny raised his hand and bowed dramatically. “I’m sorry noona.”
“See what I mean?” she sighed. But Hayoon could see how fond she was of them. “They may be a handful but they are very respectful and professional. You’ll see a lot of sides to them, so be ready.”
“Noona you’ll scare her away.” Jaehyun smiled looking down at the new outfit he’d put on.
She had raised two very strong sisters, and she had learned how to be quick on her feet thanks to her best friend Sungho. She had a feeling this would be like putting her three favorite people into 23 different bodies.

plot call + muse update!
HELLO EVERYONE !!! my hiatus is ending soon so i wanted to make this post before it does to ‘get ready’ in a sense lol. anyways! first of all, lix finally quit his job as a host in a host club took him a while i know and has decided to... *drum roll* do youtube full-time! wow, amazing!
what does he do on his youtube channel?
dance covers, most of them he choreographed himself. he started doing vocal covers too!
he also vlogs, you know, for the views
mukbang with an assortment of cheap junk food
if you’re also a friend of his there’s an 80% chance he’ll try to drag you into his videos
AND NOW FOR THE PLOT CALL !!! i’ve been... super horrible with interacting with most of the people on here because i just stick to twitter for plotting and well, i don’t have all of you on twitter... and i wanted to change that! i want lix to meet a lot of your muses as well as make more meaningful connections, after all. so! this is an attempt at that!
under the cut i’ll be listing a few plot ideas that might interest you guys. please LIKE THIS POST if you want me to slide into your dms for plotting. you can also REPLY WITH A SONG TITLE if you want me to write up a random starter for you (based on a prompt generator or a sentence starter). thanks a lot and i’m looking forward to writing with all of you!
additionally, you can reach out to me on twitter (@wowyoungie) and discord (ask for the id) if you’re as bad with tumblr ims as i am (although i’m awful at messaging in general,,, i’ll do my best though!! i promise!!)
PLATONIC
a very close friend of his, his ride or die. they probably knew each other for a long while, and is aware that lix is... running away from his rich family lol
the one friend that helped him polish his korean... he owes you big time. he’ll share his pizza with you everyday
that friend that let him stay at their place when he just returned to korea before he moved out and found a proper roommate... this friend can be the same one that helps him re-polish his korean if you want!
since his family goes to korea every summer, friends that he made during those times!! he’d treasure every friendship... regardless of how often you meet up!
as of lix’s birthday, his dear roommate bought them two cute bunnies! maybe we can make a plot around that. he loves gushing over his bunny (which he hasn’t named... help him with that maybe hAHA).
people he can drag into his videos! it doesn’t have to surround dancing, he does random challenges too (for the views...) and you just somehow get dragged into it. he’s super embarrassed but you know, you do what you have to do. join in on his discount mukbang too
those who were his clients back when he was a host. his host persona and his real persona is a very different. in reality he’s mostly shy and easily embarrassed. maybe you ran into him expecting host lix but he’s just embarrassed and panicking and ‘omg they’ll think i’m so lame outside of work’
lix is a person that gets jealous quite easily. he still doesn’t have his life structured properly and you seem like you do. you seem to know what you want, meanwhile lix doesn’t, he barely knows himself. he admires you for that, but he also feels envious. bonus if you two are friends and it’s only a matter of time before he explodes on you
people his parents forced him to befriend, and though when he still lived under their roof he did befriend you, after he ran away he never contacted you ever again. he doesn’t know whether the friendship the two of you had was real, nor does he want to find out
alternatively, people his parents forced him to befriend, but he just doesn’t like you (and maybe you feel the same way or not). he tries not to let it show at the time, but after running away he starts treating you differently
he’s a bit awful at keeping up with debuted idols. teach him about them! make him stan a group! please please please! you can be his stan twt educator. he’ll do his best to keep up
trainee friends! he’s kind of jealous of you but he really wants to learn from you. whether you were friends before you became a trainee or after, it’s free real estate!
maybe you work as a delivery person, and you’re wondering why the hell this guy keeps ordering food at late hours into the night. he’s a night owl, mostly because of his previous job as a host club that usually occurs at night, and also because... he’s an insomniac
NOT-SO PLATONIC
exes. can work with girls even though he’s gay because it took him a long time to come to terms with it
if a girl, he probably didn’t give you all his attention. he doesn’t initiate any sort of physical affection, which might be the first thing that tipped you off that he isn’t as invested in the relationship as you are.
if a boy, you probably witnessed his meltdown and insecurities firsthand. it was probably a quick relationship, because he panicked and couldn’t handle the pressure at all, ending things abruptly even though at the time he probably did like you. he just couldn’t handle the idea of being out of the closet
one night stands... that says it all. whether you were friends beforehand and got drunk and made mistakes or you were lonely strangers... anything is free!
friends with benefits... need i say more. could be a past thing, and now your friendship is on the verge of shattering or something
the one that got away? maybe you had feelings for him before. he knew about it, but pretended not to, because feelings are scary and his insecurities were just about ready to eat him up. whether you decide not to confess or you did and he let you down, things are a bit rocky now
an unrequited crush
on your part, it’s pretty much established that he’s awful at feelings so, that isn’t fun
on his part, it’s most likely a past thing. he was too scared to say anything about it, or maybe he did and you let him down, causing him to harbour a lot of regrets and ‘fuck i shouldn’t have said anything’ but time heals wounds and now he just misses having you as a friend
OPEN EVENTS
#rkcollab: collab time! lix is eager to learn more rapping and whatnot since he’s a beginner, but he also just wants to sing with friends on his youtube channel
#rkdanceoff: listen,,, he’ll love to have a dance-off with literally anyone, he’ll most likely upload it to his youtube channel too. be his competition! it’ll be fun, he won’t go down easy
#rkcharity: charity time! let’s do this! either you dragged him into it or vice versa. either way he’s not gonna half-ass this
#{ ooc. }#rkopenplot#( i know i owe people replies... )#( i'll get to them! )#( please nudge me if i forget you )

Korean boy band member Nichkhun on life as a K-pop idol
By: Natasha Gillespie-Wong
December 29, 2020
Singer, songwriter, rapper, model and now Hollywood actor, Nichkhun is a man of many talents. The Thai-American, who’s currently based in South Korea, gives Natasha Gillespie-Wong an insight into life as a K-pop idol. Moving effortlessly in front of the camera, Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul, better known as Nichkhun, obviously knows his best angles. A quiet confidence shines through as he expertly works each garment into the frame. A few more outfit changes, a quick snack and he’s ready for the interview. Without the cameras on him, Nichkhun’s demeanour changes and a soft-spoken, almost shy man sits before me.
Brought up between Thailand and California, Nichkhun was scouted by JYP Entertainment as a teenager in Los Angeles, and so began his whirlwind adventure to K-pop superstardom. Speaking fluent Thai, English and Korean, Nichkhun quickly became the darling of Southeast Asia. Now, he’s treading the boards in Hong Kong ahead of his Hollywood debut in Hong Kong Love Story.
You’re multilingual and have lived all over the world. What aspects of your international upbringing influence your work and work ethic?
I think being and living in different countries, experiencing so many cultures, opens doors. It gives you perspective. When I talk to someone who’s been around the world or has lived somewhere else before, they tend to be more understanding. Experiencing different cultures gives you an understanding of why people behave the way they do. So I think in that sense it plays a big role in my career and my work ethic.
When you’re working, you deal with a lot of different people, from different upbringings. A lot of the time people don’t even know they’re doing something you’re not used to so when you’re understanding of different cultures and norms, you don’t get frustrated. I really encourage my friends or people around me to travel more, not just for a couple of days, but to get out and meet local people and talk to them, learn a bit about their language and about their culture. I think that that really helps a lot and not just for work, but for your life.
You were scouted at 18 and had to learn to sing, dance and speak new languages. What new things did you learn about yourself through your work? Was there anything that surprised you about the training?
I was never very good at singing and dancing. [JYP Entertainment] recruited me to go to Korea. When I was there, I started training and they would ask me, “Why are you not good? Why can’t you sing? Why can’t you dance?” I was a bit taken aback because I thought to myself, “You saw my audition tape, you know what I can do”, which, to be honest, at the time was nothing. But then I started to understand that they just wanted to motivate me. I’m part of the company and I have to measure up to their standards.
The guys who were already in the company had some skills before coming in. So I had to work extra hard; I think that was the hardest part for me. Living and moving to Korea and adapting to Korea wasn’t that hard, just the training was not easy. I think what surprised me most about working in this industry is myself. I started off with no skills and zero confidence and I was so shy that I couldn’t even speak in front of a class to give a presentation or anything. I surprised myself. I think the first couple of times I went on stage, I thought I was going to freeze, but I didn’t. And that taught me that if you try hard enough, if you want something, you can do it.
I read that your mum never expected you to pursue performing as a career. What fuels your passion for the arts? Did you perform as a child at all?
When I was growing up, I would do school concerts and festivals but never anything serious. I never thought I would perform in front of a real audience, outside of my school. Once you’re on stage professionally, it’s a different story. When I found out that I could perform, maybe not that well or maybe not as perfect as I wanted it to be, that just drove me to be more thirsty and I just wanted it more. I just wanted to be better.
As a member of 2PM, what do you think your personality specifically brings to the group? And what are some of the challenges of working as a group?
I think I’m the international bridge that connects the group to places outside Korea. If the group were only Korean members, the reach would be very Korean. But because I’m there, I make the group a little more international. Me and Taecyeon, because he grew up in Boston.
In Korean culture, younger people usually can’t speak up to the older ones. But we’re all friends, colleagues, partners. So whatever problems we have we talk it out. It doesn’t matter if you’re the youngest or the oldest, we just call a meeting and we talk about it. I think that’s how we’ve remained so close for so long.
Because music is art, sometimes less is more but sometimes more is more so we have to find a balance. We haven’t perfected it, but we’re still on the way, still learning a lot. What I’ve learned is you can never satisfy the public completely.
What was it like to go out on your own as a solo artist?
I never thought I’d do my own music, because in 2PM I have five other members to cover for me if I make a mistake. But when they went off to the military, I promised the fans that I wouldn’t leave them. That’s when I came out with an album and started touring. I called my first solo album ME, because I wanted the fans to hear what I listened to or what I wanted to make, not what’s trendy. I never thought I could sing and dance all by myself for two and a half hours on stage, but I’ve done it. I just keep learning new things about myself through work. I’m very fortunate that this is my job, it’s a blessing. The music industry is so dynamic. Do you find it hard to keep up at all or do you not pay too much attention to that?
I don’t think about that much. To me, music is timeless. I listen to the same old songs that I like, and I think that’s just who I am. It’s not just with music but with fashion too. My fans are always saying, “Please go shopping! Please update your wardrobe!” But growing up, my dad would wear the same shoes until they broke. Then he would fix them and wear them more, until he couldn’t fix them anymore. So my mentality is very much, if it ain’t broke, why fix it? I find buying things for myself hard as well. I would rather spend money on things to share, like food and good experiences. I pay for things like taking my family on a trip. We all have fun, make good memories.
For me, the most important thing is staying true to myself, because the industry will always want something new. The latest sound or instrument, you might use it in your music, but then because it takes maybe four or five months to produce, the sound has changed. So that’s why with ME, because I didn’t know what the audience would want to hear at the time of release, I just stuck to what I wanted the public to hear. I’m not aiming for a number one hit song every time, I’m just trying to show off my colours.
How did you make the leap from music to TV and movies? Are the industries very different?
Acting was kind of a natural next step for me. In this industry, there are so many avenues you can explore. You start in music, you can move from performing to production or recording music to recording film. For me, I think I was always interested and intrigued by acting. I’ve had so many great opportunities, I got lucky and now I’m in an American film and it all came from a series of opportunities and me being fortunate.
The main difference I’ve noticed is the feedback. With music you get an immediate reaction from the crowd, you perform and you get recognition. With acting, it’s delayed. It can take months or even years for a movie to come out so the feedback is very, very delayed. I think that’s the only big difference between music and movies.
You’ve portrayed characters from a marathon runner to a student involved in a murder case. How has acting helped you discover new aspects of yourself?
The roles I’ve played so far have just been characters that people can relate to, that I relate to, it’s just a bit of myself. I’m not a method actor. I just kind of forget it when I go home and then when I’m back on set I get back into it. I don’t take it home with me; I don’t know if that’s good or bad.
Because I haven’t had a very intense, sophisticated role, I don’t know if I could pull to that extreme. I would need to spend a lot of time with a character like that.
I’m still in the learning stage and am always happy to have a new challenge. I’m just trying to go deeper with each character, even if he’s not a serious person or, you know, like a psycho killer. But still, I’m trying to dig in a little more, trying to give this character more dimension, and also bring a bit more fun. I think I’m just starting to learn to worry less about getting the script right and just becoming a character.
Before I was just feeling I can’t get the lines wrong. And that’s not the most important thing. You know, you can play around with characters, unless you meet a really strict director, which I haven’t yet. I think that’s the greatest thing about being an artist for me. You might get given a subject, but within that radius, within that circle, you can bounce around so much that you don’t have to be just one thing. I think that’s the beauty of the industry.
You’ve made a big impact helping UNICEF raise awareness and funds for children’s rights. How important is it to you to give back to society?
There are so many issues that we are blind to. Little things like clean water to drink, safe places. It’s very important that these kids have the opportunity to grow up to be healthy, educated and strong. I’m so thankful that UNICEF chose me to be one of their ambassadors. Being a spokesperson is more important than just donations. If I’m spreading the message, then that will hopefully have an impact on others too. In my position, I live off of people’s love so it’s very important for me to give some of that love back and not just take all the time.
Who is your #legend?
My parents. I’ve met so many great people throughout my life, but no matter where I go or what I do, I find myself thinking back to things my parents said. I’ve realised that you can have hundreds of idols in your life, whom you really respect, but the people you should respect the most are your parents. Even though I didn’t really listen to them as a child, they made me who I am today. I’ve been living on my own for 21 years now and I could have gone the wrong way, but thanks to my parents’ teaching I’ve managed to stay on a somewhat straight path. Whenever I went off the road a little bit, I always came back, thanks to my parents.

If you’re a Taehyung stan, please read this
Okay, at first i wasn’t gonna talk about this because its kind of a touchy subject, a little controversial and honestly I don’t feel like giving clout to this person. So for the sake of this post I will not even mention her name.
(No, no, wait. Don’t get any wrong ideas. This has nothing to do with Shipping Wars or the whole Tae-hates-Jimin-agenda blahblahblah.)
I don’t know if you guys have noticed that a fairly new youtuber arose with this weird AF channel, messy as hell videos and honestly people in general were ignoring her, almost little to no views and zero comments.
But what drew my attention was that in the past days (5-6 days or so), she suddenly starts mentioning Taehyung in her videos (title and all) along with L*e J*nghyun of CN//Blue. And the first thing that came to my mind was:
“Oh my god... not this shit again with the whole B*rning S*n issue and people still trying to connect Tae into this whole mess.”
Because we KNOW how hard people have been trying to create scandals out of nothing for BTS. So, of course I stupidly clicked on it to see what it was all about.
AND HO-BOY ....WAS THIS ALOT TO UNPACK...
So this girl, who is NOT Korean (could be American, but I’m not sure), Is dead-ass alleging to have not only met Le* J*nghyun through tumblr was it? (and maybe later on they kept chatting elsewhere) But that she somehow got into an ONLINE RELATIONSHIP with him for a span of 4 years. A relationship that, according to her, became toxic real quick. Making her a victim of (online) abuse by this Idol.
Now, you might be wondering: “Okay, but what the fuck does this have to do with Taehyung?”
So get this.
This girl?? Is not only claiming to have been in an ONLINE relationship with a Korean Idol that she says she met on tumblr or whatever. But she is also stating that Taehyung is a direct witness to this “relationship”. Because according to her, she and Tae have been “really close friends/best friends (ONLINE)” since 2015 and they have this “special bond/relationship” where Taehyung supposively used to call her on her cellphone frequently.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT!
That Taehyung himself tried to stop or warn her about getting into that relationship with J*nghyun. That he “called her the same day that she accepted” and now “regrets not waiting a few minutes longer” to for his call, otherwise “she wouldn’t have accepted.”
OH MAN HOLYSHIT, BATMAN!
I know!
This all sounds like some deep ass AO3/Wattpad level, Idol/fem!reader, scenario type of shit.
But wait! THERE’S MORE.
This girl is reaching SO FAR that she made up this WHOLE ASS analysis/theory stating the following:
- That Taehyung has been living with a lot of regrets since then. (Funny she would say this, when there’s a post she wrote on her twitter saying that she didn’t recognize Taehyung UNTIL RECENTLY since she “met him in 2015 [ONLINE] before he became famous” as if BTS debuted in 2015 instead of 2013. So her story is full of contradictions all over)
- That whenever he sings, he is singing TO HER.
- That all of his solo songs (Stigma, Singularity, 4 O’ Clock, Scenery and even Winter Bear) were ALL written by him, ABOUT HER and what she went through and the guilt he “still feels” for not being able “to save her”. So this “makes her happy” to know that “Tae still thinks about her all the time.” (When WE, as ARMY, KNOW that Namjoon is the one who wrote Stigma based on Demian, 4 O’ Clock which is a song Tae secretly dedicated to JIMIN, and Singularity. Whereas Tae wrote and composed the last two [Though he did needed help from Namjoon for Winter Bear since its 100% in english and he didn’t know if he had worded it correctly].)
That the reason WHY Taehyung refuses to speak of the issue is because Le* J*nghyun’s company is secretly blackmailing/threatening BTS/Bighit to keep quiet (But how could she possibly know this when she doesn’t speak Korean, has never been to Korea and doesn’t seem to have any online friends in the kpop fandom. Much less K-armys unless she’s following or buying info from sasaengs and EVEN THEN--).
But if you think that’s bad/borderline delulu???
The worse part is that she has both a Twitter and Instagram where she writes these things EVERY SINGLE DAY, AT EVERY HOUR. Talks about Taehyung ALOT and in a very creepy, almost stalker-ish matter (also, she ONLY speaks of Taehyung, she never mentions the other members by name, only BTS as a whole/group). And uses every single trending topic/hashtag she can find for the day to bring attention to her posts.
If the trending topic is TrumpsImpeachment? She’s using that.
MentalHealthAwareness? Yep, been there done that.
sexscandal and politics? She’s using those too.
EmpoweringHumanity? BreastCancerAwareness? She’s using it.
A new Anime trending?? She’s on it.
OH AND DID I MENTIONED THAT SHE IS TAGGING BTS AND TAEHYUNG TOO ON THESE POSTS?
NO?
WELL SHE IS.
*EXHALE....*
I... don’t know what this girl is trying to prove, I dunno if she’s just a regular clout chaser/anti spreading rumors/overly obsessed fan cause she is even calling herself “one of many Armys”. And I honestly found it so offensive from her part to be calling herself an ARMY so freely, while at the same time saying that she was gonna expose Taehyung and get him dragged into this scandal one way or another if he, himself, doesn’t "come clean” on his own.
And the reason why I won’t mention her name here is because this is slowly starting to blow up and a lot of people (from different fandoms and even NON-Kpop fans) have started calling her out on her bullshit while also reporting her accounts for slander. I can give you the name through private message, but not here.
So if you guys ever come across something like this or this person and it seems shady as hell. Don’t give the person any attention, just do the typical thing we do: Ignore, Report, Block, and Walk Away (If you can send a screenshot to K-armys to have them report it to Bighit, do so as well).
Don’t engage, because its very clear that this girl is hungry for attention and I’ve seen her use the “mental illness” and “race card” (since she is also a po*c) way too many times in her defense. So for all we know, she could be just trying to provoke the fandom/s and cause a reaction or get a few to attack her directly so that she can come around and drag everyone like it has happened before.
==================
UPDATE: After receiving much backlash & hostility for her behavior, the girl had no choice but to come clean with her claims. And admitted that she did in fact made everything up from the beginning and in addition also admitted to having a serious (personal/emotional/mental) problem which made her believe (in her mind) that she really did have this relationship with an Idol whom she has never met.

Tonight, You and I
Idol: Chungha (ioi/Soloist)
Prompt: The reader and chungha are childhood friends and they’ve always played together When chungha left to train in Korea, the reader was really disappointed and regretted he didn’t confess his feelings to her. When she came to US for her tour, she visited home and saw the reader again. He was surprised she still remembered him and immediately confessed, not wanting her to leave again
Writer: Admin Kiwi
A/N: I’m just throwing myself into writing to forget about how weird my life is right now. If my writing seems a little off, that’s why. Again, I made this reader more gender-neutral and took a few liberties with the prompt, but I hope you all enjoy!
♡ Tip Jar♡
Honestly, you hadn’t been expecting her to come back. It had been years since Chungha had left, since you’d missed the chance to tell her how you felt about her, and since you’d lost all contact with your former best friend. Then, she’d suddenly appeared again on TV, and you’d realized that your chances of seeing her again were slim: she was an international star now, and she probably didn’t even remember you. After all, your feelings had probably been one-sided. So you’d decided to move on. Or at least, to try to.
But then your parents had told you excitedly that Chungha and her family were coming back to visit, and all the work you’d spent getting over her went out the window. Of course, you were excited to see her again, for many reasons. But you were also nervous. Would she even remember you? Would she even want to see you again? Would she have changed because of fame? You had a lot of questions, and they kept you up at night as you waited anxiously for the day you would see her again, making you wonder if you should even try to see her. Still, despite everything, she had been your best friend, so you decided that you had to at least try to reach out to her again.
When the day to see her again finally rolled around, you paced nervously around in your room, checking and re-checking your hair until it was time to go. You were going with your family to meet Chungha and her family at the restaurant you always used to go to as a child. Truth be told, you hadn’t been there since you were a kid, so it felt a little weird to walk back into the restaurant, trailing slightly behind your parents with your heart pounding in your chest. The pounding only got worse when the hostess smiled and said “your party is already here, this way,” and you tried to calm yourself as you wiped your palms on your jeans and followed her back.
Sure enough, at a table in the back corner of the restaurant sat Chungha and her parents, smiling as you walked up. To your surprise, Chungha visibly brightened when she saw you, waving happily. She looked... different, obviously. Like an idol. But the smile was still the same, and you found yourself waving back.
“(Y/N)! How have you been? It’s been forever!” She remembered you. She really remembered you. Relief washed over you as you took the chair next to her, a smile making its way onto your face.
“I’ve been doing well, how about you? How’s idol life treating you?”
“Oh, you know about that?” She laughed and tugged at her hair, a nervous habit you recognized from when the two of you were younger. “It’s so embarrassing.”
“I think it’s cool. You’re doing a great job.” You might have been imagining things, but there seemed to be a blush on her cheeks as she took a sip of her water.
“Thank you! Idol life is hard, but I’m really enjoying it and I don’t regret a thing.” She turned to you, and you felt your heartbeat spike once again as you looked into her eyes. It seemed like that crush wasn’t gone after all. “But I’m glad to be back. Why don’t you show me around so I can see what’s changed? It’ll be just like old times!” She seemed excited, nodding her head, and you couldn’t help nodding along, although your stomach exploded with butterflies.
Half of you wondered if this was really just a dream, but you knew it had to be real. The chill of the glass as you touched it, the breeze from the overhead fan, the smell of food that took you back to your childhood, and the chatter from everyone around you told you that this wasn’t your imagination. Swallowing, you tried to calm the butterflies as you smiled at her, excitement building up in your chest too. You finally had your favorite person back, and you weren’t about to let this opportunity go.
“That sounds like so much fun. Let’s do it!”
-
Hanging out with Chungha was like you remembered, with a few twists. She still liked to laugh and tease you, and she was still happy to try any food or games or activities you suggested. She was still Chungha, fame hadn’t changed that about her. But she no longer leaned into you when she laughed, and she didn’t grab your hand to swing it as the two of you were walking. You figured that was because the two of you were grown now, but you knew that part of it was because she had to be so aware of her surroundings now. If someone took a photo of her being too close or cozy with another person, it could cost her a lot. So you understood, but it was still weird to walk so far away from her when, as kids, the two of you had been inseparable.
Still, she made up for it by showing how much she still remembered about you. She remembered your favorite flavor of ice cream and your old favorite artists and your favorite and least favorite foods. She even remembered the time the two of you had stayed on the swings competing on who could get higher so long that you both ended up getting motion sick and you had to stay home from school the next day.
“I’m sorry that we lost contact,” she told you one day as the two of you sat at the new brunch restaurant that had replaced the pizza spot the two of you used to frequent as kids. She was looking into her coffee, stirring it absentmindedly as she spoke, and you felt your breath catch in your throat. “I didn’t mean to leave you like that, but I was so young that I didn’t really have any way to keep in contact with you. I actually wrote you a letter with a postcard, but we never got to send it because my life got kind of crazy. I thought about you all the time, but I never knew how to find you again. I figured you’d moved on and forgotten about me.”
For a moment, you were quiet, thinking about what to say as you looked down at your pancakes. The restaurant was crowded, full of chatter and the smell of coffee, and you listened to it all for a moment, taking it all in with a deep breath before you spoke.
“It’s okay, I understand. I’m just happy you were thinking of me, because I was thinking about you too. There was no way I could forget someone like you. I’m really proud of you for achieving your dreams.”
Finally, she looked up from her coffee and smiled, and for a moment, you were a kid again, sitting across from your best friend and chatting about the world and what the two of you wanted to do when you grew up. Then you blinked again, and you were back, but the girl across from you was still your best friend, just a little different and a little older.
“I’m really happy to hear you say that. Let’s never lose touch again, okay?”
-
She wasn’t there for long. It was just a short vacation allowed by her company before she had to go back and prepare for her next comeback. It wasn’t enough time. But then again, no amount of time in the world would be enough for you. You never wanted her to leave again, even though you were being selfish. That week had been the best week of your life, and you didn’t want it to end. You didn’t want to lose your chance again.
On the last night, you invited Chungha to come over to your place. It wasn’t much, just a small apartment close to work and school, but it was yours, and even better, there would be no parents around. At first, the two of you just watched movies and ordered takeout, and nothing seemed off. But as the ending credits of Train to Busan began to play, Chungha sighed and leaned against you for the first time since she’d arrived, her head falling onto your shoulder.
“I don’t want to go back. Is that weird?”
Your breath caught in your throat again, and you cleared your throat nervously, unsure of what to do or say. “I don’t think it’s weird. I don’t want you to go either.”
“Awe, that’s sweet.” She smiled and touched your hand, fingers soft and gentle, and you swallowed, heartbeat spiking. “I have to go back, and I love my job. I love my fans, I love singing and dancing and performing. But I don’t want to leave you again.”
“Oh.” Slowly, you let your head rest on top of hers, and for a moment, the room was quiet except for the ending song playing on the TV. The words “then don’t” were stuck on your tongue, but your swallowed them away, knowing that you couldn’t say that. You respected her too much. You respected her job too much. You’d never expect her to leave it all behind for you. “Well, we have each other’s numbers now, and Instagram and Kakaotalk and everything else. At least we can stay connected this time.”
She let out a soft laugh as she intertwined her fingers with yours. “That’s true. At least I wont just disappear.” Letting out a little sigh, she closed her eyes. “I just wish time would stop for a little while right now. I’ve had so much fun this week with you.”
“Me too. I was really happy to have you back.” Thoughts whirled around in your head as you looked down at your hand in hers. By now, the credits of the movie were over, and the room was silent. It felt comfortable and suffocating at the same time. Comfortable because it was Chungha, and you’d known her for too long for silence to be awkward, but suffocating because every time you breathed, you were reminded of all the things you’d wanted to say that got stuck in your chest before. All of the things you regretted never saying. All of the feelings you’d never shown.
“Hey, (Y/N)?”
“Yeah?”
“Want to go see if we can see any stars outside?” She was pointing to the kitchen, where the doors to your small balcony were. Nodding, you sat up straight, and she stood, but kept her grip on your hand as the two of you walked over.
Outside, the sky was clear for once, and you could see thousands of twinkling stars in the sky as you leaned against the railing and looked up. The air was warm with a slight breeze that tickled your skin, and the sounds of cars could still be heard from the street below, but it was peaceful and you propped your chin against your palm, feeling some of the nerves from earlier fade away.
“They’re so beautiful. You know, I can’t see the stars on a normal night in Seoul. It’s too crowded with lights. I’ve missed this scene.” She was smiling when you looked over at her, her head tilted back to look up at the sky, and the feelings in your chest rose up again, threatening to overflow. You couldn’t hold them in anymore, no matter how hard you tried, because she was still the most beautiful woman you’d ever known, inside and out, and you couldn’t imagine yourself with anyone other than her.
“Chungha.”
“Yeah?”
“I like you.”
Slowly, she looked away from the stars to look at you instead, her eyes wide. “Like as in...?”
“More than a friend. I always regretted that I didn’t tell you before you left last time. So I thought I’d let you know this time. I don’t want to have any more regrets.” You were scared and nervous, there was no denying it. But you were glad you’d said it, a weight finally lifting off your chest after years. You watched in slow motion as she began to smile and moved closer to you, shoulder touching yours.
“I liked you too, back then. I still do now.” Then, her smile fell. “But this makes it even harder to leave.”
Mustering all your courage, you placed your free hand gently on her shoulder. “I’m not going to be that person who asks you to give up all your dreams for me. I know how much being an idol means to you. You belong on that stage, Chungha. Nobody can work it like you do. As much as I don’t want to see you go, I don’t want to see you throw everything you’ve worked hard for away for me either. I’ll continue to support you from here, and I’ll work hard until I can join you by your side. Don’t hold yourself back for me. I’ll hold myself to a higher standard for you instead.”
A soft smile graced her lips as she squeezed your hand, looking up at you with fond eyes. She looked so gorgeous in the light of the moon with her hair blowing ever so slightly in the wind and the stars reflected in her eyes. “I love you. You’re incredible, (Y/N). I’ll work hard so that you can be proud to call me yours.”
“I’m already proud,” you whispered, and she moved in, wrapping her arm around you.
“Then kiss me,” she whispered back. She would leave on a plane tomorrow, back to a place far, far away where neither of you could reveal your relationship. But right now, she was in your arms, and there was no one around to see. It was just the two of you and the stars, so you pulled her in and kissed her like your life depended on it. Tomorrow, the two of you would start a long-distance love. Tomorrow, you wouldn’t know when your arms would hold her again. But tonight, she was yours, and you were hers.
And you were going to make the most of it until the sun came up.

Pretty U
Pairing : Xu Minghao x reader
Type : Soulmate au, idol au
Genre : fluff
Warnings : none
Word count : 3-4k approx
Soulmate au type : In which a person is born with a tattoo of a flower bud, when a person first has any sort of physical touch with their soulmate, it will bloom into a flower which represents their soulmate's personality briefly.
You were like an enigma, for Minghao at least. The way you performed, the way you subtly flirt with the audience, he wonders how you even do that. Whenever he watches you perform or even get a glimpse of you, it's enough for him to get stuck with the thoughts of you for a long time. He feels like he knows you, that you may have been someone from his far past or even an erased memory but the only thing that keeps him from believing those signs is the fact that you two haven't even once introduced yourself properly.
But he has heard about you, a lot. Nothing bad, nothing good. Form what he had heard, you were foxy, wily, sly who knew their way out. He didn't judge you, he never judged anyone maybe except for few of his members but that's the other story. He has no idea where those rumors about you came from, you were rather sweet aside from the rumors.
"Beware pretty boy." a rather euphonic voice warned him. He look up from where he was standing to see you standing in front of him rather closely. He backed off, shook by the proximity of the two of you. You laughed at his startled self, you hands behind your back as you shook your head.
He look cute like that. You saw him zoning out right in the middle of the bighit building, a little idea plopping in your head as you head towards him.
"I'm sorry." he bowed unable to hide his embarrassment. He heard you laugh again as you once again made your way towards him patting his shoulder and mumbling a sweet bye and exiting with a wink.
He stood there still frozen, did you perhaps flirt with him? He could feel his heart beating loudly as he patted his hand over it trying to calm it down. He didn't know why he felt such strong emotions when you came near him, maybe he just wasn't prepared.
He turned around abruptly, looking in the direction you went and kept looking till you were out of sight. Did you have such impact on each and every person you met? No wonder there were a hell lot of people who admired you, girls and boys combined. There was just something mysterious about you and he would be lying if he said it didn't attract him.
The sound of his phone going off pulled him out of his thoughts as he pull his phone out of his pocket. Jung Haeun, he picked up the phone informing her that he'll be at her house in 10 minutes as he started walking out of the building.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
"Are you really planning of leaving Korea so abruptly?"
Minghao was seated on the couch as he eyed Haeun's packed belongings. He felt his heart getting heavier as the seconds passed by. His thorat felt dry as he tried to reason everything out with her. If only Joshua and her would have listen to him first, things would have been far better.
"Sorry Hao, but you know I loved Joshua too much and it will be best for me if I get as away from him as possible. I'm going back home and start a new life. It's for my well being. Although I'm happy for him, I can't just let my heart break over and over again."
Minghao clenched his fist and closed his eyes momentarily. He inhaled and exhaled deeply trying his best to suppress his emotions. Haeun was someone really dear to him and it pained him watching her heart getting broke time and again. He wanted to blame someone but he couldn't. He knew feelings can't be controlled, he knew Joshua was going to find his soulmate eventually but he didn't think about Haeun leaving him just like that.
It was for her better, he kept repeating that to himself. He wanted to laugh at himself, how Joshua managed to meet Haeun through him and became more important to Haeun still a blur to him. Maybe the romantic love between two people was much stronger than the platonic love he shared with her from years but that didn't hurt less when she didn't even consider his feelings and took a decision.
He knew she was hurt and maybe it was better for her but now who was he going to go to when he felt down and neglected. She was the only one aside from his members he was closed too. How was he supposed to get used to her not being around him anymore. He lost his best friend just like that.
"Here's your coffee." Haeun smiled at him as she sat beside him and Minghao adjusted himself so that he was facing her. He reached towards her and held the cup as Haeun eyed his wrist, the tattoo on Minghao's wrist which was once a small bud blossomed into a beautiful dahlia. She internally smiled feeling happy for him finally meeting his soulmate, but getting confused as to why he didn't tell her.
"Thanks." he mummered taking a sip of the coffee. He drank it in one go, getting surprised by the sharp gaze Haeun had set on him. He gulped trying to figure her out before huffing.
"What?"
"So you are trying to tell me that you are too busy to even tell me about what's going on your life now?" her question was sudden, but her playful aura and small smirk gave off that it wasn't something very serious.
"What are you talking about?"
"Why didn't you tell me you found your soulmate?" she pouted looking at him. Minghao furrowed his eyebrows, his eyes unconsciously landing on his wrist where the bud tattoo was located only for them to widened. His brought his wrist closer to his face examine the newly bloomed flower.
"I....I don't know." his voice was a mere whisper, his mind wondering in so many different directions. Did he bumped into someone one the way? No he didn't.
"You don't know? Did you not know when the bud bloom into a flower when it was right on your wrist? You got to be kidding me." Haeun exclaimed, her eyes narrowing in his direction in a criticising way. She couldn't believe he was so naive to miss the formation of bond.
"God I can't remember." he pinched his eyebrows together then shaking his head violently. He never really made any effort to find his soulmate. He believed fate will find its way but that didn't mean he wasn't excited about the idea of meeting his soulmate and now he just crossed the chance with fate.
"It's okay hao I'm sure if not you, they will find their way towards you. Chill." She smiled at him sympathetically but bursting into fits of giggles soon.
"Let me drop you off." He got up pouting in her direction giving her a side glare as he got her luggage and exit her apartment with her following behind.
He dropped her off the airport, helped her with luggage and bid her goodbye with a bitter smile.
"I'll miss you." he said as he hugged her for the last time.
"We will see each other soon. I'll come to visit you sometime till that time try to remember something about your soulmate okay?" she replied breaking the hug. She patted his shoulder and winked in his direction before making her way towards the flight.
A sudden realization hit him at Haeun's gesture. You had touched him the same way Haeun did and it was so lame of him to forget about someone who lives in his mind majority of the time. He faceplamed himself before looking towards Haeun watching her flight take off.
He felt empty, her family was going to be really happy knowing she came back for good. He hoped with a sincere heart that she find her love. She deserved it. He just cursed fate for being so cruel with her but now he had something else on his mind, you. What were the chances of you being his soulmate again?

Your eyes were trained on your wrist where a beautiful cosmos flower was bloomed, a small smile was splayed across your lips as you trailed it with your other hands. Cosmos, the flower that represents peace and tranquility. You exhaled as your mind wondered towards Minghao, you were too shy to spin around and run towards him exclaiming to watch his wrist plus you didn't want everyone else present in the building to know your business.
You never knew why people were interested in others life so much. Why they wanted to know everything about one's life. You get that being an idol you kind of sign up for it, well for the fans and netizens as it is but not the fellow idols at least. Idol life was a mess in idol industry but it seem really perfect in the eyes of netizens.
You kept your personal and idol life separated even from your fellow idols except for a few close ones who knew you from a long time or some people who you have taken a liking of. It led for every other person to have a wild guess on your life. Sometimes the rumours entertain you other times they gave you headaches but nonetheless it's fun to see everyone else getting worked up to figure you out.
You liked it, you prefer it that way. How people presumed you have countless of affairs, maybe with some of the CEOs of the big companies too but none of them had confirmation and that itself was satisfactory. You liked the attention you were getting, either way there were many people who admired you for your work as well as your exterior.
You wondered what Minghao thinks of you, if he judges you the way other do or if he thinks you are too good to date like others do. You shook your head, from what you have heard and from what you have seen, he wasn't the type to judge someone easily.
You made your way towards the building where the party was being held for celebrating and welcoming the artist of pledis, source music and your company under bighit. You were nervous but ecstatic at the same time.
"Cheers to everyone attending this party." the host exclaimed as soon as you grab the glass of your drink, you held it high laughing alongside everyone in the room and taking a glup.
The party was great, you talked with many idols and producers in order to strengthen your connections in the industry. Everything was great except that Seventeen was no where to be found, how were you going to approach Minghao if he was no where to be found.
"I hope you are having fun labelmate." his voice startled you, you didn't imagine him approaching you first that too as soon as the event started. You turn around a little too early for your liking making him raise his eyebrows as he giggled.
You scratch the back of your ear before nodding slowly, you weren't supposed to be this shy. You aren't known to be this timid. You recklessly blamed it on the soulmate bond.
"Where were you?" you asked even before you could think, he smiled as he reached forward to grab the drink from your hand, taking a sip and putting it aside.
"Just had to drop someone off so I was kind of late hence making the members wait for me and collectively getting late at the party." he stated as he looked in the direction where his members were standing. You followed his gaze, your eyes landing on the rest of Seventeen some of them laughing, some smirking and some trying their best to not look in your direction. Minghao gave them a look and they quickly turned around the other way.
"So you know?" you asked him motioning him towards your wrist which was now covered with a skin tape. He nodded, a big smile plastering on his face wanting to just hug you but not when you were in public like this.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked referring to the time when you could have stopped him and tell him about the soulmate bond.
"I figured that too late." you replied not wanting to sound too timid in front of him. He nodded at you telling you he will meet you after the party alone where you could just talk about yourself more privately. You bid him goodbye as he made his way towards his members.
You turn around wanting to grab another drink when your eyes landed on bunch of people eyeing you and gossiping. You sighed internally, you generally never minded this when you used to get caught up in false dating rumours but were they going to judge you for finding your mate too?
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
"I'll go use the bathroom." Minghao excused himself as he made his way towards the restroom. He was happy, a little eager for this party to end. He wanted to hold you, tell you about how much you occupied his mind even when he didn't know you were his soulmate.
His eyes never left you and neither did yours. He was happy with this little game of stealing glances when no one was looking, or everyone was looking but he didn't know. You never understand anything fully till you experience it yourself and Minghao could confirm this saying. When Seokmin, Soonyoung and Joshua would gush about their soulmates and their love he used to cringe, finding it too lovey dovey for boys of their age but the prominent butterflies he felt when you smiled at him was something he wanna experience forever.
He was afraid that he was too plain for you, too simple, too boring that you would reject him the moment he step in front of you but he was happy to see you looking out for him. At first he thought you just hated the idea of being soulmate with him and didn't approach him but he figured you were shy. A little thing about you which he involuntarily learned.
He got out of the restroom feeling relieved, he didn't drink more than a glass but he rather had too many soft drinks. He fixed his blazer smiling at his senior who was heading in his direction but before he could pass her she stopped in front of him.
"Are you enjoying your time here?" Kim Sejung, a soloist who debuted the few years prior to him asked.
"Very much." he replied his eyes taking a look at the main hall where the party was going on to have a look at you.
"I hope we can collaborate anytime soon in the future. Your team is really amazing and you guys deserve your success." She said as she complimented him for maintaining his idol image really well. He smiled at her bowing towards her, thanking her for her kind words.
"But as you can see I'm your senior and have been in this industry longer so I suggest you to stay away from sly people who run behind you just because you are famous. Precaution is better than cure, don't want you getting hurt." her smile was bitter as she indirectly taunt him to stay away from you.
Her words caught him off guard, who was she to tell him about his life? He didn't wanted to sound rude so he just thanked her and made his way towards his members. He never understood what was wrong with people's mentality, or why did they care so much about other people's business.
This wasn't the first warning he had got the whole night, he had his fair share of unwanted advice from his fellow idols, mainly female idols spluttering shit about you having multiple affairs simultaneously and male idols about you trying to trap him as your prey to live off his stardom. Although you were his junior, you were comparatively doing well with your career, you didn't need him for that.
The members were getting more concerned about him as they could see his usually composed demenor cracking up little by little. It didn't go unnoticed by you. You saw all of the people going towards him to warn about you. You didn't even know what was wrong with you talking with him. Then again people don't know how to keep their nose off of others business. It pained you looking at him getting annoyed as the time passed, maybe he will get tired of it and not see you, the thought pained you but you didn't know what do to. You weren't going to let people ruin your relationship with him even before forming it.
You made your way out of the main hall towards the backyard which had a garden. You went towards it taking off your heels and keeping it aside as you made yourself comfortable on a cold bench. A sigh left your lips forming a cloud, you should have brought your coat along with you as you came outside. Outside was far more chill than the hall inside.
Your thoughts went back towards the hall, sometimes you wish you debuted in a girl group, at least you would have shoulders to lean on at such times. You never let the rumours break you but those rumours potentially creating a gap between you and your soulmate made you uneasy. Your eyes filled with tears as you breathed in and out to calm yourself.
Suddenly the chillness of the surrounding subsidised, you look down at yourself touching the warm fabric that was now protecting you from the chill breeze. You look up, immediately standing up on your feet to come face to face with Minghao. He stepped closer as you look down at your feet to hide your tears away from him. This wasn't how you were planning the after party would go.
He hooked his index finger on your chin and brought your face up, he leaned closer concern laced on his face as he wipe the tears with his hands.
"What are you crying about?" his voice was barely above a whisper due to your close proximity, his breath hitting your face as he spoke. "Why didn't you bring your coat with you it's cold in here."
"I'm sorry." you said as you tried your best to look anywhere but him. He encircled his arms around you, bringing you closer to his body immediately making you feel more warm as your hands rested on his chest.
"Look at me." and you did. "I don't care what others say, I am not annoyed at you. I just hate the fact that you allow people to talk shit about you." he continued as he cupped your cheeks kissing your nose gently. You closed your eyes relaxing in his embrace.
"It's better that way." you opened your eyes looking at him, he tilt his head at you. "The false rumors, it kind of helps me, otherwise the company would force me to date an idol for publicity and I don't want to be with anyone else but you. I wanted to be with my soulmate and I didn't want to court anyone else but you."
You nuzzled your face at the crook of his neck, your cheeks and ears getting red due to your sudden confession but it felt right to tell him those things. You inhaled his scent, your smile widenening at the feeling of his heart beating rapidly in his chest. You stayed like that for a while, in each other's arms as he rubbed random pattern on your back.
"You don't have to force yourself to be with be because of our bond you know? There's going to be a time when you will feel overwhelmed with the amount of gossip and rumors about me. I don't want you to get hurt." you replied as you wrapped both of your arms around his waist too afraid to let go as if he would disappear.
"I don't care." he sighed softly kissing your temple before tucking your head back at the crook of his neck. "I don't care what others say as long as you are with me. It will hurt me to listen something which I know will hurt you but they are just rumors, they will die down. And I'll be by your side forever."
If anything Minghao was sure of was his determination to protect you and you wanted nothing but him to believe in you and your bond. You kissed his neck as you hugged him more tightly.
"Can you kiss me?" and so he grabbed the collar of his blazer which was draped on your shoulder and pulled you again him as he kissed you again and again till you forgot everything else but him.

"I want to pick and gather all the pretty words for you. They stick in my throat in front of you. I promise myself, while drinking a glass of water in the morning, to tell you. I will confess what has been on the tip of my tongue tomorrow, You are pretty.''
