you two kept talking for months and you eventually went to his house to study and met his brothers, darry and soda

darry told pony to be wary of you, but was glad to have you around since you would help ponyboy get his grades up if they faltered

you also gave him a reason to go to track meets and try since you would be competing too

soda thought you were nice and that’s all he cared about, you respected and seemed to love his brother even if pony couldn’t see it himself

he realized he started to love himself more when he hung out with you, and you made him look forward to things

he loves the way you laugh, the way you would get excited talking about specific things, your love for baking and the way you would get eating your favorite meal, how pretty you were, your kindness and selflessness, he could go on and on about what he loves about you

he later asked you if you wanted to be his girlfriend and picked your favorite flowers from a field close to his house

you obviously said yes

you were so excited and gave him a big hug, saying you were waiting for him to ask you and you’re so happy he finally did

he loves you so much but feels like he’ll scare you away if he says it quickly

he tells the gang about you being his girlfriend and they freak out, asking if they can meet you

you met johnny at the drive-in, you were with marcia and cherry while he was with pony and dally

johnny thought you were SOOO beautiful so he told pony and dally, they both thought you’d be a bitch since you were with socs and you were one too

after dally was done harassing cherry and ran off, she started a conversation with pony and johnny

you looked back at johnny and already saw him looking at you, so you smiled

you were more on the quiet side since most of the time you just didn’t have anything to say, and you were an observer

you noticed the cut on his cheek, it was deep and he had a look that made him look scared of everything, so you guessed he had problems at home

he’d flinch at loud noises and sudden movements, so you took a note of that

you were still curious about the cut on his cheek, and asked him where he got it, he looked to pony and he pat johnny on the shoulder to go sit next to you

he went up to the front row to tell you the story about how he got jumped by a group of socs, and remembered a guy with multiple rings

you said you were sorry for him, and not every soc is like that, that he can’t control what other people do but only the way he reacts

he continued the conversation and found out more about your likes and dislikes, while pony was talking to cherry, and two-bit came to talk to marcia

johnny started to feel like someone cared about him other than the gang, and he felt full until the time you had to leave

you wrote down your number on a piece of paper since you wanted to keep in touch, and drove away in your mustang

he and pony talked about you and the movie on their way home, and talked about how you don’t seem that bad and johnny should try to pursue a relationship with you

the both of you would hang out weekly through the next year, sometimes sleeping over at your house since his parents would be drunk

one time you two were having a heartfelt talk about feelings and home life, and he asked you if you could be his girlfriend

since you were shocked but reciprocated the feelings, at first you didn’t say anything and johnny got real nervous

he said sorry for asking and it got awkward, but you said you’d be his girlfriend

bro has never smiled that wide in his entire life, he’s never been so happy when someone said something until now

you two talked about the failed times you were to ask each other to be partners, and kept giggling about it until your dad walked in and told you to go to bed, and to keep the door open

you ended up going to bed, curled into each other

he told the gang since they were the only people he trusted

you didn’t meet them for a while so johnny and pony told the rest of the gang you were chill and they took his word for it

you later met them and they liked you, even started inviting you to hang outs

yall met when he was fixing your roof, and you thought he was so handsome

when he would get tired you would let him take a break for as long as he wanted, and even let him into your house for snacks and drinks

he appreciated it and didn’t know how to voice it more than he did

after he was done with fixing your roof, he was incredibly sad

he really liked the attention and you did too, so you gave him your number on a piece of paper and told him to call you if he wanted to talk or hang out

when he got home he started thinking about what would be good for pony and soda

he thought he had to take care of them and he was responsible so he didn’t know if he should get to know you better, he had a lot on his hands

he figured he should try to do something that makes him happy while still doing important things and taking care of his brothers

he would call you often and you would call him, planning times to meet and do things

when you two got very close after months of talking, he brought you to his house

when he brought you to his house he didn’t expect to see the whole gang there, being loud and acting wild

you didn’t mind at all and said it was okay, he later had a long talk with them about how they can’t be at his house uninvited randomly

yeah they didn’t listen at all because it happened many times after that

you started to make food for them and do laundry, acted like a mother towards them

that’s when darry knew he loved you and wanted you to be his girlfriend

he knew the gang appreciated everything you did for them and acted as a mother figure to them, they listened to you

you even got dally to listen to you and help out around the house… it wasn’t even his house but it made it easier for darry to manage

you two were at the concessions part to get food and you pulled out your wallet, showing a mickey mouse plush and you as a child in a photo

soda introduced him to you since you were looking for a boyfriend but all the guys who were interested in you treated you like shit

he left you and steve alone for a bit so you two talked about cars and your jobs, you decided you would visit him at the DX since he worked there

you two talked about societal problems and even opened up to each other emotionally, which was quick considering you two only knew each other for a few hours

since you two got along so well you talked to soda and asked him if he thought if was okay you two are talking

“well yeah no shit i’m fine with you two talking, i set you two up!!” he said

i mean he’s not wrong

you and steve ended up hanging out once every two weeks, then it turned to once every week, to twice and sometimes three times

he’d sometimes stay over at your house

since you two had so many common interests and problems you two got together

it was actually really mutual since you were gonna ask each other at the same time if you could date

you laughed about it later but obviously said yes

you met the gang and they liked you, turns out all of you have many common interests with each other

steve loves being with you so much and talks to soda when he needs advice

you talk to soda about steve too and he’s so happy he gets all the tea about your relationship

When you confirm it over and over again, he finally accepts it. Of course, he loves you too. He’ll hesitantly ask you out in a very indirect way, and thus begins your very sweet relationship.

When you slip your hand around DALLY’s and say that you love him, he scoffs. “You ain’t the first, sweetheart.” He pulls his hand away and puts his fingers on his cigarette, but wraps his other arm around you. “Let’s get some food, yeah? Then you can confess all the other feelings you have about me.”

Your confession comes in a whisper at a horror movie drive-in, so quiet that PONYBOY barely even realizes you said it. He’s holding your hand because he thinks you’d be scared, but what’s actually scary are the words coming out of your mouth. “What?” He asks. He’s a little bit slow, but when you say it again, he’s dumbfounded. “Gosh, I love you too.” He can hardly believe this is real and happening to him. After a whole lot of talking, though, he invites you to get milkshakes with him when the movie is done with.

“I’ve been waiting for you to say that!” SODAPOP gasps, his hand tightening around yours. “I love you too.” Soda’s never been one to hide his affection, so it’s likely you knew his feelings before ever confessing so blatantly. He loves it though, the fact that you had the guts to tell him. He asks you to date him in the same moment, and it’s the best decision the two of you have ever made.

DARRY doesn’t hold hands. He just doesn’t- he’s never been one to be soft with things, with people, but you are his only exception. Everyone in his life can see it. So, when he’s breaking his own rules to hold your hand, he doesn’t expect the moment to get any softer. Until, of course, you say you love him. He looks at you in shock for a moment, slightly worried. “Are you okay?” When you laugh and say you are, and that you just had to tell him how you feel, his heart soars. Tw for suicidal thoughts

• literally the definition of that song where the line is like “I just can’t come between them, they got their own thing”

• no one will ever truly understand their bond, it’s just a known thing that Dally and Johnny are the most important people in the world to each other

• they honestly can’t even pinpoint when they developed feelings for each other, they’ve just always felt so much love and affection toward each other so strongly, they just didn’t know it was mutual for awhile

• one night Dally and Johnny were taking a walk because Johnny had been down all day and even though he didn’t say it, Dally just knew and was determined to get him talking. So they’re walking in silence for awhile until Dally asks, “so are you gonna tell me what’s the matter, johnnycakes?” and Johnny just breaks down. He hadn’t let himself cry in a long time before that and the way Dally spoke to him was so genuine and concerned that he couldn’t hold back anymore. He told Dally that he didn’t know how much longer he could keep living like this and that everyone would probably just be better off without him and Dally is livid, not at Johnny, but because he doesn’t deserve to feel this way. So he tells him that he better not hear him say that ever again because he can’t live without him and “if you go, I’m coming with you.” And Johnny just looks at him for awhile because Dally makes him feel more wanted than anyone ever has. And in the heat of the moment, they share a kiss. That night they talked and while they both knew they wouldn’t be able to publicly be together, they only wanted each other, so they would take what they could get. No one else mattered to them anyway as long as they have each other

• Johnny will stay with Dally at Buck’s a lot and they’ll both squish into his twin bed. The only problem is, Dally moves a lot in his sleep, so Johnny has to be sandwiched between Dally and the wall or else he’ll accidentally be pushed off ✋😭

• they love going on drives together when Buck lets him have the car. Dally can do a really good Elvis impression and Johnny will take that to the grave because he knows if he tells anyone Dally will stop doing it

• speaking of Buck, he knows about jally because he walked in on them making out one time. That was one of the few times that Dally was genuinely scared, not even for himself, but for Johnny. He didn’t want to put Johnny in any type of danger ever. But Buck actually likes Dally a lot and cares about him, so all he said was “make sure to lock your door if you don’t want company” and they could both breathe again

• the gang was like. Not surprised whatsoever. They didn’t even rly tell them formally, they just figured if anyone reacts badly they’ll cross that bridge when they get there. So they just started being physically closer and kissing and stuff around the gang and they’re all like “about time”

• around the holidays at the Curtis house they always “coincidentally” wind up under the mistletoe. Total coincidence. Not because Soda keeps moving it.

• Johnny calls him Dallas when he’s exasperated with him 😭 so like at least a few times a day

• speaking of exasperated, the gang cannot stand playing football w them anymore bc they’re on opposing teams and literally can’t keep their hands off each other. Jally will tackle each other when it’s not even necessary just so they can be touching. “Oh wow Dal like how did I end up on top of you sorry about that 🤭” Ponyboy mad as hell because Johnny isn’t paying attention and Darry is carrying their team 😭

• will share clothes without realizing it bc a lot of their stuff looks the same. Darry

He would go on living for the most part, not because he doesn’t care about the fact that you’re gone, but he just can’t afford to shut down. if he does, he risks losing Soda and Pony too.

He’d bring flowers to your grave once a week, on Wednesdays (don’t ask why i just decided this). Your favourite flowers. When the first bunch he put down dies, he gets someone he knows, (maybe Ponyboy, i feel like he’d dig arts and crafts) to either press the flowers or dry them so he always has them, even if they bring back painful memories.

To add to the whole getting flowers thing, he’d always take one out of each bunch, just like he did before your death to make sure that he replaces them as soon as they wilt.

He most likely got the call about your passing and had to tell the guys. He tried to stay calm while telling them but he broke down before he could finish.

Ponyboy

This hurts just to think about! He, unlike Darry would shut down completely. He’d be failing class, wouldn’t get out of bed and would hardly eat. If we count it as after Johnny and Dally die, that would be 3 people he cared about that died (other than his parents)

If you two watched the sunset together often i feel like he’d never watch it again. it would be too painful for him.

Whenever he gets into an argument with Darry he runs out of the house and straight to your grave. He’d sit there and vent to you and eventually fall asleep there. the guys probably put a bench by your grave so he’d sleep there.

I think that after he was functional again, he’d get very cold and bitter, kinda like Dally. He’d get into fights all the time and would start acting out. He just doesn’t know how to cope with you gone..

Sodapop

Sodapop would go to your grave everyday after work and just talk to you about his day. he would fill you in on everything going on with the guys, any rumbles or fights with socs, stuff like that.

I honestly think that if Soda was serious about your relationship he would have given you a promise ring. I think that even after you were gone he would keep wearing it and maybe even put yours on a chain and wear that under his t-shirt, right next to his heart.

If it was a violent death? He would completely stop fighting, he would only see it as a constant reminder of what happened to you, he would realise that it really didn’t do any good.

He wouldn’t fully shut down but i think he would stop hanging out with the guys so much and would get very quiet. He wouldn’t be his laughing, wild self anymore. He knows that isn’t what you would’ve wanted but how could he keep on joking when you were gone? how could he ignore it?

Dally

Dally would go on hating and fighting more than he ever did. The world took so much from him and now it took you too? Why should he care about anyone or anything if you weren’t there anymore.

He’d spend a lot of time at your grave. No talking, he’d just sit there and smoke a cigarette. Sometimes he’d silently cry, but he hates crying out in the open.

Dally would blame himself. It doesn’t matter how you passed away, he would look at every detail of the days leading up to your death and see if there was any moment where he could’ve done something to stop it. if it was a violent death, could he have stopped you from getting into that situation in the first place? if it was an accident, could he have stopped it from happening, could he have made it so that it was him instead?

Steve

Steve would be kind of like Dally. He’d hate and fight more than ever. How could the world be so cruel that he’d take you from him?

I feel like it could be his first proper experience with loss, which is different to the others that i’ve written about so far. He really wouldn’t know how to cope. he’d try to go on living, then he would shut down for a while, then he would probably just have to get out of town for a while.

I honestly think he’d do something drastic. Rob a gas station or snap and start a fight with his dad or something. He would get very reckless too. where he would be careful when competing in drag races, now he would speed up if anything.

He is so afraid of forgetting your face. He keeps a picture of you in his jacket pocket to make sure he doesn’t forget but he realises he’s starting to forget the smaller things like how you’d make this particular face when you’re being sarcastic, and how your face would light up when someone mentioned your favourite things.

Two-Bit

Two would start drinking even more, you were lucky to see him sober. He’d stop hanging out with the guys.

He would be angry for a while. Angry that you left him here alone. Of course he knows deep down that it’s not your fault but he can’t help it. Two probably went to your grave one day, drunker than ever. He started giving out that you left him and ended up throwing his bottle of beer at your headstone. That snapped him out of it. He picked everything up and cleaned the headstone best he could.

After the angry phase is gone he would start to write you letters filling you in on everything. He couldn’t bring himself to go to your gave so he just pretended you had moved far away. He puts them in a big box under his bed. He considered burning them, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it

He sometimes forgets you’re not there though. Say if he’s doing something he might yell “Y/N could you pass me the ___” then remember you’re not there and just sits down and cries, even a few years after.

Johnny

Johnny really can’t deal with it. With his parents being so bad and you being his main support, he couldn’t take it anymore.

I honestly think that he would run away, let everyone forget him. Sometimes he would consider the ways to see you again, but luckily someone always snaps him out of it.

He hangs out with the guys more than ever, it keeps him from shutting down completely. they become his main support, but he’s even more quiet, he sits a little outside of the group when in the curtis’ house.

After a few months of grieving he remembers a list you guys wrote about all your hopes and dreams. So he decides that he’s going to complete everything on it. He lives for the two of you.

You pace back and forth in your shared flat, the floors seem to leave indents of your foot falls from how much you're walking around. Your mind fails to wrap around the fact that Hobie and Spider-Man are one and the same. The familiar embrace and sturdy chest you fell on proves it. But you wouldn't know if your deduction is correct if you don't ask him yourself.

Not knowing how to react, you chew your bottom lip, your nose still aching from the impact. So you wait for him to finally get home, with the sound of keys rattling outside your doors, heart thumping loudly, you sit on the settee to calm your nerves.

Hobie doesn't waste time to come look for you nor take off his boots at the door, he speed walks over to you in a hurry after finding you sitting forlorn on the couch. Your eyes meet his, he immediately crouches in front of you, wrapping his arms around your torso, hiding you from the world. His palm guides your head over the crook of his neck, placing a weighted kiss over your temple; wishing, hoping the pain you feel will subside.

"Came as soon as I saw your message, 'm sorry. Are you alright?" He traces your spine with his hand, comforting and calming your lingering adrenaline. You feel the bandage over his hand through your thin shirt.

"Hobie?" You ask in a small voice.

"Yeah, love?"

You get to the point, there's no point in dilly dallying "Are you Spider-Man?"

His reaction wasn't what you expected, Hobie chuckles deeply like you just told him an inside joke only you two could know. You pull away slightly, hands still holding him, anchoring you.

"Figured me out, huh?" Hobie brushes his knuckles atop your cheeks, careful of your injured nose. "Knew you would notice"

"Why didn't you tell me?" Tears threaten to spill over. A hundred questions fly past your mind, insecurity filling you.

He reads you like an open book, "I trust you with my life, hey" Hobie wipes a stray tear, you sniff, paying attention to every word. "Didn't want you to get hurt because of me, someone might get wind of you, and I wouldn't know what I would do if something did happen to you. That's why I kept it from you, 'm sorry" your shoulders relax, sighing in understanding.

Hobie takes your hands in his, you feel the scratchy cloth over his palm. You rub your thumb over it softly, reassuringly.

"You saved me, twice." Your eyes trail over the bandages. "Thank you" you finally look up at him, eyes soft, leaning over to peck his forehead. You hope your love permeates through the kiss.

He sighs, eyes closed in content. You lean back to Hobie's dismay. "I won't stop you from being Spider-Man, just be careful. Come home in one piece?" You smile at him, in return Hobie kisses your knuckles, each kiss longer than the last.

"For you, I will" He gently guides you over with his hand on the back of your neck, meeting your lips for a proper kiss. You move in tandem, hand squeezing his.

Needing air back in your lungs, you pull away, eyes twinkling. "Can't believe my boyfriend and crush are one and the same, is that why you were never jealous whenever I gush about Spiderman?"

"You were inadvertently feeding my ego."

You laugh, placing your forehead against his in affection.

-them asking dally what new york is like and dally getting all pissed but not thinking much of it. then suddenly they’re vanished with all their belongings overnight and dally knows Exactly where they’d have gone. the gang has to follow them but they never catch up

-dally shooting up in bed one night like a week later at like 3am rushing over to the brothers house all i know where they are. they asked me about. about new york the other day. oh my fucking god and darrel’s all just??? new y— NEW YORK?? what the hell did you SAY TO THEM??

-frankly i think they’d wanna go and look after them but they’re poor and darry has a job so. they just put out missing persons requests and have no choice but to call it a day. darry feels guilty but they were never that close but. but soda??? soda knowing pony ran away from him??

-i think pony would leave some cryptic message in a copy of gone with the wind (ironic) addressed to soda in the cover before he leaves but soda literally doesn’t read so he probably doesn’t find it it for ages. something about how you were the only thing keeping me alive in tulsa but i gotta go be my own person now, get away from all of this shit

-darry turns what remains of pony’s room upside down inside out looking for anything but. there’s absolutely nothing left for him

For Cursed Tulsa AU: aksjsjak there are soo many things I want to ask about but first I am SO intrigued by Dally in this AU. So like him seeing ghosts is from his mom and I'm assuming he couldn't see them before he got shot/was rescued so was him 'dying' kind of like the catalyst for him unlocking that power? Did his mom ever tell him about the ghosts and he just thought she was hallucinating or did she never even try to bring that up? Does he know that his powers are from his mom or did he just wake up and was like "I guess that just happens now"?

AND THE AFTERMATH OF HIM JUST. SEEING THEM NOW.

Do the ghosts ever try to interact with him? Can they even? Since he apparently saw the Curtis parents and his mom so like did they try to speak to him ever? Or was it more just ominous staring?

And speaking of which - I'm pretty sure Dally isn't telling anyone about what he's been seeing. Is it just because he doesn't know how to bring it up or does he even understand exactly what's going on? Will he ever tell them? Or is this a secret he's taking to his grave?

His near death experience and sort of ‘rebirth’ was the reason his ghost seeing stuff finally unlocked, yes— however, that’s more in a manner of he finally became aware of it.

He assumed she was just hallucinating, and she never told him about it, both in a selfish way and in an attempt to protect him. Her thought was that if he didn’t know, then he couldn’t possibly channel it— the only issue is that if he had been seeing the ghost since he was a boy, it would’ve driven him down the same path of psychosis and mental unease she had experienced. While his mother had been able to see it since she was young, Dally’s mind had sort of blocked out the whole thing as it was due to how she behaved in correspondence to what she could see. To an extend, he’s always been able to see ghosts, but in the same way he’d blocked the Curtis’ out, his mind blocked the ghosts. It was only after actually encountering Death that this subconscious barrier shattered.

It takes a few weeks of living with it and one really bad hangover after drinking to try and block it out before he knew how to for there to be that oh moment. His mom wasn’t fuckin’ insane, she was seeing ghosts— and he’s doing the same thing she was doing, drinking to ignore it.

The ghosts are aware that he can see them once he acknowledges or reacts to them, after all if he didn’t give them the light of day, it’d just seem like another human overlooking them due to not seeing spirits. They can’t physically interact in most cases, beyond toying with items and things of that sort. The few he does interact with he has sort of ‘befriended’,, but it’s mostly just ones tied to spots that he can walk by, ask if they’d seen anyone from the gang, get an answer, and keep going.

The Curtis parents didn’t really get a chance to try and speak to him, all they’d really manage was his name or something else of a similar nature before he’d panic and block them out. His mom didn’t speak when he saw her, she just watched. Stared at him with dead eyes as he stared back in horror.

Y’know, he never knew that she died.

Dally hasn’t told anyone yet, but I think if anyone were to find out willingly first it either be Johnny or Two. Johnny’s the boy of death, he’d have to know something about seeing all of this. Two’s his best friend, he knows he can trust him.

..I think the person who would find out despite Dally’s unwillingness is Paul. Witches are pretty spiritually tied, are they not? And he’s not stupid, he’s heard about spiritual medium related things; Dally sticks out like a sore thumb when you know what signs to look for. He just won’t bring it up, since it’s.. yknow. Dally

I feel like as Pony gets older (especially if we're talking after canon) he'd really try to fill up his schedule as much as possible doing literally everything he can so he 1. is too busy to think about everything that happened and 2. so he can try and make up for the lives Dally and Johnny never got to live. soda- w this fella, unlike curly whos ALWAYS telling pony to stop working, and darry who tells him to take a break a lil too late, i feel like hes a pretty good in between!!! he lets pony work, but when he feels like ponys doing too much, thats when he starts bringing up breaks. hes heard like ALLLL the tricks for doing classwork by his teachers bc he wasnt the best w paying attention, so hes thinking maybe it does work just not on me” and tells em to pony. bc soda is soda, and the advice hes giving DOES help pony, hes more likely to take a break if soda tells him to do it, sodas more trustworthy to him

Lucien is literally going through the same thing as Feyre did, and it's easy to forget that Feyre had only just accepted the mating bond a few days before she went back to the Spring Court.

Lucien just received confirmation that his mate wasn't the one his father murdered—the one he was so convinced was his mate that he left his court over it. She never was. Feyre spent a significant portion of ACOMAF waiting for her mating bond to snap with Tamlin and didn't believe that her mate was Rhys because she didn't see herself as his equal.

But the hurt and guilt I expected weren’t there. Lucien slowly released his grip. “I need to find her.” “You don’t even know Elain. The mating bond is just a physical reaction overriding your good sense.” “Is that what it did to you and Rhys?”

This exchange too stood out because of what made Feyre finally figured out that she was mated to Rhys:

Because he’d been injured, and I’d gone out of my mind—absolutely insane—when he’d been taken from me, shot out of the sky like a bird. I’d acted on instinct, on a drive to protect him that had come from so deep in me … So deep in me—

Feyre used both skills she developed when she was human (forever iconic using her scent on Rhys's fingers to track him) and shapeshifting from Tamlin despite her reservations to track him down. This mirrors Lucien using his hidden powers to get to Elain.

Sometimes I do wonder if Lucien started getting doubts that Jesminda was his mate and that's why he became ridden with guilt. Perhaps he started having visions or dreams of Elain after UTM, similar to how Rhys did with Feyre before she came over the wall. He also started to pull away from his usual dallying to put a hard stop on Ianthe. The combination of seeing Feyre die and come back to life because of the mating bond might have forced him to face the truth that Jesminda wasn't his mate. Feyre was resurrected due to the bond, while Jesminda was not.

Lucien was well within his rights to question this. Why was he able to react in such a way for someone he never met before but not for the female he loved? The only person who could have helped him process it would have been Feyre, but I don't think Feyre could explain it in a way that Lucien would understand, especially when it's still new to her. We see this when she asked Rhys why Azriel wasn't Elain's mate, seeing Elain and Azriel sitting quietly together, and knowing Lucien isn't someone like that. It's telling that the more she started to understand being someone's mate and being mated to someone, she never brought up Azriel and Elain again, even in her own POV.

As for Lucien, he finally understood when Elain turned to him and he took in her face. Lucien and Elain will always have this pull towards each other, will always have a tug, will always know the other better than anyone else can compare because they have a literal soul-bridge to each other. But it still takes two people to make it work.

The revelation of the mating was always the confirmation of being endgame. It doesnt matter when it was revealed.

BG3 COMPANIONS REACT TO; TAV IS SCARED!

(For further context, companions reacting to Tav having to be around something they don't like, eg; water, small spaces, fire, undead etc, or they're just jumpy in general. Also, romance is not established, but implied!)

Lae'zel -

It depends on the fear. If it's something like a cave that's barely holding up or the group is sneaking past a hoard, she'll agree the situation is critical, but encourage focus. "I'd also like for this to be over. But it won't be if we hesitate and dally" but if it's something like heights or rivers, she doesn't understand...but she will become a githyanki barrier between Tav and whatever is causing them stress.

Shadowheart -

She's pretty understanding of most fears. She freezes at the mere howl of a distant wolf, so if Tav flinches at the crackle of fire or the smell of blood, so be it. She keeps an eye out and tries to find work arounds if the group is about to enter somewhere Tav is going to hate. If it's unavoidable, she's as gentle as possible. "We've got this. It'll be over before you know it, I promise you. Then we'll never have to do this again."

Wyll -

He'll make it as tolerable as possible, but will encourage Tav to face their fears head on. "I'm not scared. I have no reason to be and neither do you, because I won't let anything happen to you" he'll promise. Won't push, won't complain. Just keeps Tav in arms reach and stays calm. He's proudly Tavs dedicated rock. And sheild. And blade. He sasses anybody has anything to say about it.

Karlach -

"Don't worry. Mama K is the best teifling sheild around, from here to Avernus! Stick close" She smiles, confident as ever. Even if she is scared too, she'll pretty much forget about that while Tav is scared. Tav is her main priority, and she let's them know proudly. Anyone else says anything? She's reaching for the greataxe.

Gale -

Doesn't want you to be embarrassed, so he tells you about a silly fear he has. Has a knack for rambling Tav into distraction, so he takes advantage as best he can of their attention. Of course in a moment of panic he'll drop the 'I did something stupid' fake laughter and immediately stop everything. "We can go, right now. I'm sure we can find another way to do this, we always do. I don't care if it takes longer, it's got to be better than watching you shake like that"

Astarion -

He pretends not to notice. Not because he doesn't care, but comfort has never been his strong suit. He worries he's going to make it all worse if he addresses Tav about it. Instead he occupies himself with laughing about whatever situation they're in. If he knows anything, its how to be disarming, and laughter works like a charm...but if it doesn't and nobody else steps in to comfort Tav, he'll do it- granted the words are coming out before he can think too hard; "Look at me. You have survived a goblin camp of cultists, an entire githyanki creche- we met after crashing from a nautaloid ship with illithid worms in our heads. This is nothing. You're stronger than this."

Bonus! (the elders)

Halsin -

He can tell they're nervous before Tav can. He checks in regularly and asks repeatedly if there's anything else he can do to make it all easier. Once it gets to be too much, he calls it for Tav. "I understand if you'd rather myself and a few others handle this. While I'm proud of you for staying, I can promise you no disappointment if you wish to leave. Your wellbeing isn't worth sacrificing for this"

Jaheira -

Similar to Halsin, she's very quick to pick up on when something upsets Tav even if they don't say anything. She subtly keeps an ear out for how well they're holding up, and will make excuses for Tav to take breaks and get further away from the thing they're scared of. "Apologies, but this old druid needs to rest her old lady hips. Tav, it would be safer if we both went to that safe spot there, come on." Jaheira won't bring it up, but its easy to figure out what she's doing.

Minsc -

He doesn't notice for a while, even if its obvious, but once it occurs to him, he draws an obnoxious amount of attention to it. Granted he's also asking people to get between you and the source of discomfort and will tell anyone who so much as sighs to politely shut the fuck up. If he thinks it will help, he will put Boo on Tavs shoulder. "Boo is a war criminal! Everything fears Boo. He'll protect you from all the nasties, won't you Boo?"

Running to Only Reach the Truth

Malleus ran as quickly as possible with Azul, Sebek, and Idia. They had left everyone else behind and were hurrying as quickly as possible to get to Rollo. Malleus was just as determined to get the bell tower as the others who had been traveling with them were. He also only held the hope that they who remained could get to the bell tower.

The only moment they stopped was when Idia complained about wishing to stay back with Rook and Deuce. Malleus didn't have the heart in him to tell Sebek to stop. The urge to not join Sebek in yelling though was when he spoke his next words. "Every word out of your mouth grates on my nerves. Is mockery the only thing you're capable of?! DID YOU FORGET THERE IS MAGIC OF OTHERS AND THE LIFE OF A CHILD ON THE LINE?!" Malleus inhaled deeply trying to keep his self calm.

Idia's bothersome attitude was getting on his nerves as well. He still despised the fact that Rollo had brought Silve into the fight when he had done nothing to offend him. The only reason Malleus could think that Rollo grabbed Silver was to guarantee that he would go after Rollo and wouldn't leave. He would have never left to begin with but the situation truly only did get worse when Silver was taken.

"What point of 'we have to be cautious' do you boys not understand?" Azul asked. "Firelotuses don't react to noise, but the more we bicker, the more likely we are to miss the bell tower door or more flowers." Malleus looked towards Sebek. "Azul is correct Sebek. One can hardly blame the weak for being beset with fear during such a dire emergency."

Sebek immediately agreed with Malleus and stopped fighting with Idia. Azul did good work of straightening Idia out though. "Shut up the both of you!" Sebek yelled. "Malleus has been nothing but patient and you both bicker as well after I have been reprimanded?! Even at this moment, Malleus is focused on moving forward!" Malleus gave a nod.

"Oh, yes. On moving forward...And illustrating to Flamme just how grave a mistake it was to issue me a false invitation! It's consumed my every thought!"

Sebek seemed a bit surprised while Azul and Idia wondered how he was still holding on to the grudge. The four of them didn't dally for much longer and hurried off to the doors. They came across the first door and Sebek was happily able to kick it open. A room was revealed instead of the bell tower which held bookcases, a desk, and a fireplace. There wasn't much to the room and it truly did show its age as a historical school. It was as if the room had been frozen in time and only the occasional news things had been placed within it.

Malleus had full intention of leaving the room to continue the journey until Idia found a book hidden within the fireplace. Azul was quick to take it from Idia's hands and search through the book wishing to find some dirt to sully the school's looks. Malleus turned out to be the one to be correct though as to what kind of book it was which was a diary. He was more than happy to read through the book along with Azul and Idia though.

"I suppose if this contains material that would be damaging to him, it would behoove me to know it." Malleus felt giddy to know what secrets lay in the book and what their pages may reveal. How he could use these secrets against Flamme and get his revenge for the hours he had taken from him?

Instead, though all it showed him was a story of sadness and a reason to understand Rollo's cause for attacking the school. The reason why he may have taken Silver with him is not as a bargaining trip but something much deeper. Something he wished would have never been the reason.

The rest of the trip to the bell tower was silent. No one wished to speak of the matter. Sebek had taken notice of their silence but remained quiet himself about the situation. "What's the matter, Shroud? We've finally reached Flamme's base of operations, yet you're still frowning?" Idia still gave no response. "Is your heart not in it? If so, then step aside now before you slow the rest of us down." Idia shook his head. "Look, I'm now hesitating. I was just thinking...this will not stand. I'm invested in this now."

Idia looked at the bell tower stairs determined. "I'll get to the top of this stupid, low-tech bell tower even if I have to crawl on my hands and knees!" Sebek gave a proud grin. "Oh, NOW you're motivated? Did my words strike a chord within you?" Idia looked at Sebek as if he was an idiot. He was only able to give a quick response before fire lotuses filled the room that the four were in. Malleus realized that it would be difficult to get through all the flowers after they had begun to fill the room.

"Allow me to handle this!" Sebek asked looking at Malleus. "What?" Sebek drew his sword. "I will draw the flowers away from the three of you! I could never face Lilia if you were to fall here or if something was to happen to Silver! Lilia said that you would be in good hands! So I will protect you, whatever it takes! I could ask for no greatest honor than to have contributed in some small way to your bright and shining future, my liege!" Sebek took his eyes toward Azul and Idia. "Don't think of even slowing Malleus down!" Sebek spoke with proudness and fire in his eyes.

"I truly do have a fine retainer" Malleus replied smiling proudly. Sebek had a happy look on his face far greater than Malleus would have expected. "Malleus...Oh, how you humble me with your praise!" Malleus walked forward to Azul and Idia. "Shroud. Ashengrotto. Do not cast your gazes back. We must sally forth toward our ultimate destination-the Bell of Solace!"

Darry:

When you first told darry about it he honestly was a little shocked at first but non the less he was very supportive in anyway he could be.

He knew that you hated eating in front of others so when the boys were over an he made food he would always save some for the two of you later 

Later once the boys were gone (or asleep) him and you would go outside with the food from before and you two would get on the bed of his truck and started to talk 

He always looked up at the sky or whatever was around while he started to lead a conversation while you would take small bites of the food 

Once the two of you were done he would put the bowls aside and gently pull you into his arms to hold you “ you did such a good job sweetie, i'm so proud of you for eating” he would say as well as giving you small kisses on your head

Sodapop: 

When you told sodapop about your ed he honestly didn't know how to react at first so with him not being able to use his words he gently pulled you into a hug “ alright sugar just tell me how i can help you” 

If you worked at the DX with him and steve he would always cover for u while secretly giving you a longer lunch break

Every now and then when he had some money on him he would get u small gifts such as a stuffed animal or a new piece of clothing you have wanted for a while 

When you two are apart from each other he gives you his flannel with his colon on it so it smells like him to comfort you

Ponyboy:

This poor boy would be confused honestly- he never really knew that was so you would have to explain the whole thing to him 

He would try to always have a snack or some sort of food on him for u just in case u havent had anything to eat yet

He would leave little notes of encouragement in your locker (ex: your doing great today baby or how you look as lovely as a sunrise/sunset)

Holds your hand and gently rubs it with his thumb when you have to eat in front of the gang to try and comfort you. 

Johnny: 

Johnny gently wraps his arms around u when u tell him, johnny slightly knows what it's like so he tries his best to help you when u can 

He will try and make food for you when he knows its a hard day ( side note i feel like when he did this ponyboy would bother him or try to nit pick at it and johnny would end up kicking ponyboy out-) 

He gives you his jacket if you feel uncomfortable at the dinner or wherever 

Dally: 

For once dally fully listened to you when you told/ explained to him about it and he even asked for ways to help. 

If you were at bucks and anybody said anything about it in a negative way dally would definitely make them lose a few teeth or a broken rib for it

When its just the two of you he trys to get you food to eat and then he lets you fall asleep on him 

 Secretly after awhile he gets buck to watch over you and make sure to get u something to eat ( dally would do dishes to help every once in awhile to “pay” for it) 

Two-bit: 

(Ok this is going to sound stupid but i think its cute-)  two steal  buy you cups with funny designs on them to help you feel comfortable 

He holds you in his lap whenever you eat 

Trys to make u laugh while you eat and probably attacks you with kisses on your cheek and neck

If you were having a bad day he would slightly threaten to tickle you until you ate-
