hello hello! Thank you so much to @theres-a-bea and @surely-galena for tagging me in this, I thought I’d just post instead of reblogging because the original’s a bit long, but anyway here’s a bit about me!
1. are you named after anyone? nope! my parents admit they just liked the name they chose for me :)
2. when was the last time you cried? maybe a week ago? I’m not the easiest crier irl, but for some reason books manage to hit the spot.
3. do you have kids? none :)
4. do you use sarcasm a lot? not unless it’s super over the top, since I know how it can make people feel upset or confused depending on the situation
5. what sports do you play/have you played? nothing at the moment, but I used to play basketball years ago (still my favorite)
6. first thing you notice about people? honestly, if I’m near them, probably their volume. I pick up pretty quick if someone speaks more softly or loudly than average.
7. eye color? haaazel
8. scary movies or happy endings? I love scary things, but I think happy endings get me more. when people end it happy it makes me want to scream (in the best way) :’)
9. any special talents? I am very good at memorizing things—numbers, names, dates, I even used to memorize entire short stories before our reading comprehension tests when I was like 6. I also seem to have incredible luck (●’◡’●)
10. where were you born? a few streets away!
11. what are your hobbies? I love collecting hobbies, so it’s a pretty long list. Right now, I’ve been mainly reading, playing a bunch of video games, knitting, and browsing Wikipedia.
12. do you have any pets? I do, I have a bunny and a fish. My bunny is an old arthritic man of almost 14 years and I love him to death, and I got my goldfish at a carnival because I felt bad about how he was being treated. He’ll be 1 next month, and my friend owns his brother :)
13. how tall are you? 5’4 / 163 cm, I get called short a lot despite being the female global average. I think I just know too many tall people lol
14. fave subject in school? I’ve always been a sucker for history! It’s definitely my favorite thing to learn about outside of school, too.
15. dream job? That’s what I want to know!! Jk jk but seriously though, I would love to work in museum curation or something similar. It might not end up being what I do, but research and preservation have always interested me a ton.
The original said to tag 15 mutuals, but I don’t even follow that many people and I know many many others have already been tagged through the grapevine. But, if you follow me or would like to share please feel free to continue the thread or pass it forward!

sorting thru my liked music under the read me cuz im emo tonight ://
i didnt expect los campesinos to be on my list of go-to listens but knee deep at atp is pretty darn good. i am not a wilbur soot kinnie
please delete anything on your playlist related to polyphia. you dont like it and you have never liked it.
the more i listen to chiodos the more i end up enjoying them. the heartless control everything and the best way to ruin your life albums have a some overlap but overall i enjoy the heartless control everything more just because the opening song compromise of 1984 is terribly good. the trailing end sort of turns me off but it kinda reminds me of another song i really love so it turns out i can deal
bone palace ballet is funny because the track names are just so artsy and the piano and violin it in makes me happy. dont really have a favorite song from it though. i think its just an easy listen for me
devil by the chiodos is easily a top 20 (?) it has it all. behvis bullock has that energy im looking for but the lyrics are honestly hit or miss depending on how much of a singing mood im in. 3AM and under your halo are both solid songs for showing people without scaring them off
idfar is a single collab that i cant get over because it just came into my life so randomly that i still get surprised when i notice that its like, a real song and not something i dreamed up. the lyrics are depressing though so i try not to loop it too much
the used is a classic band. i only like certain songs and it all depends on if i want to sing along or not
i liked martyrs among the casualties more than i did mukiltearth. sorry guys. TECHNICALLY theyre different but i actually feel that the older one has this grungy (intentional or not :P) mixing i like. mirrors are more fun than television rly hits different if youre listening to it thru a CD
the fall of troy beloved <3 im really warming up to in the unlikely event. it was the first album from them i ever saw recommended to me but i didnt listen to it entirely cuz i got scared off by how strong panic attack! and straight jacket keelhauled sounded. empty the clip and battleship graveyard are deffo my faves tho lmao
doppelganger :) made me read house of leaves. book and music changed my life
manipulator is a great album but it makes me all teary so i cant listen to it for long or else i actually cry when i get to oh! the casino?!
the tribune ep is something i want remade so bad. i want to see a show just so i can request one playthrough of windmills and so true, ever so true. cant get enough of how the screaming vocals pair so well with the cleans
jlv but only because of the kite remake. if there is any song you listen to this year its kite. its gotta be kite. its got it all. the perfect song. black mass is also great but if i listen to it too much i start hating women.
do not listen to delta sleep.
wisiro by dgd makes me sob but in a good way :) i havent found anyone who feels the same abt the album but honestly it just has that level of emotion that resonates with me so well. cant really single out any of the songs but tidal waves comes on at just the right time where it makes you reevaluate your entire life from start to present. this album is better and cheaper than therapy.
also no one talks about attack of the dashing young and bold and the rain in vietnam. theyre both awesome
im just going to list off dgd albums i liked cuz theyre so popular already someones prob already said how i feel abt them (if your concert tickets are worth more than $50 you are mainstream): mothership, s/t, downtown battle mountain 1&2, happiness
fearofdark is my go to for chilling out and reliving the good times with the homies. makes me cry but in a good way
sewerslvt is amazing. raw and emotional in every song. its really too bad people dont like her more
i kill giants s/t i love them for their lyrics. i liked their sinatra collab too and their style with the spoken word poetry in the songs
saosin and circa survive. awesome, one of the rare cases where album art really ties the mood in with the music. they know how to choose their album artists
deaf havana, not to be confused with deafheaven. has one good album before they got rid of their one good singer in favor of making christian rock. meet me halfway at least is a banger album
deafheaven, not to be confused with deaf havana. roads to judah and sunbather are just -chefs kiss- love their metal. not a big fan of shoegaze sung by men to begin with though.
exactly one nirvana song. it is not smells like teen spirit
ajj gets an honorable mention for getting me Through it but ngl i like their ghost mice collab even though i know i shouldnt. firestarter is also a cute song i sing often
misc bands that i think are pretty cool: defeater, sufferer, sianvar, ttng, taking back sunday, thursday, mccafferty, a day to remember, mass of fermenting dregs, death cab for cutie, tfb, alex g, animal collective, sufta, ty scientist, madeon, a lot like birds, teenage halloween

Drama, drama, drama. The song enterprise is full of it, but occasionally stars don't need to be too specific with their comebacks and jabs at fellow celebs. these mysterious song lyrics that precipitated principal Hollywood drama stirred the pot, sparked rumors that unfold like wildfire, and in the end supplied the general public with a number of the most scandalous pop culture moments of the millennium. AZlyrics
Tumblr media
movie star beefs are a dime a dozen in the social media age where clapbacks can be issued at the press of button. a few artists, but, have determined to apply their songwriting competencies to difficulty some of their cruelest grievance of fellow stars. From rap diss tracks to pitch-ideal coloration in pop songs, there’s been no shortage of A-listers stirring up drama in the public eye thru their art. old exes and frenemies are often the goals of artists’ color, but not often do disses end up inflicting IRL drama outside of a handful of tabloid headlines. the following tune lyrics took singers’ and rappers’ drama one step further, though, and at once impacted fandoms and actual-lifestyles fueds. Scroll thru the pinnacle 10 under, and take off your sunglasses to read them — it’s approximately to get shady.
10. Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” Beliebers and Selenators are pretty divided over this one, however the hit 2015 tune "Sorry" contained a few pretty damning proof that the music changed into approximately Bieber's unstable courting with Selena Gomez after their breakup in fall 2014. "'reason I just want one greater shot at forgiveness," he sings within the first verse, a line that had fanatics pointing to his tumultuous dating with Gomez as the foundation for the song. some enthusiasts theorized the song was greater typically approximately Bieber's public apologies for his diverse scandals over the years developing up within the spotlight, but the pre-refrain pretty much confirmed it turned into approximately a former lover: "Yeah, is it too past due now to mention sorry?/ 'cause i am lacking more than simply your frame." The tune reputedly labored. Bieber and Gomez briefly reunited for about 5 months beginning in November 2017, however that didn't closing both. nine. Miley Cyrus’ “Slide Away” This tune brought on Smilers round the arena to mourn the loss of her dating with Liam Hemsworth, and the almost 10 years the couple spent collectively before their August 2019 divorce after most effective 8 months of marriage. even as fans knew the track become largely inspired by Cyrus' divorce, the thriller become, how a great deal become based on actual existence, and what kind of was fiction? Headlines about the music speculated the topic of drug abuse related without delay to Hemsworth: "I want my house in the hills/ don't need the whiskey and drugs." No reps might ever comment on the situation, but Cyrus did observe all through her Plastic Hearts rollout that she had been focusing on sobriety in the course of the prevailing second. 8. Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” one of the most famous songs on this listing with the aid of a ways is Olivia Rodrigo's 2021 tune "Drivers License," which sparked mountains of rumors because of the specificity of the lyrics speaking about her ex and his new flame: "And you are in all likelihood with that blonde lady/ Who continually made me doubt/ She's so much older than me/ She's the whole thing i am insecure approximately." fans suspected Rodrigo's high school Musical: The Musical: The collection co-star, Joshua Bassett, and his rumored new girlfriend, fellow Disney Channel alum Sabrina carpenter, had been the inspiration in the back of the music's lyrics, but no person involved has confirmed the drama out of doors of mysterious song lyrics cloaked in metaphors. 7. Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” In reaction to Remy Ma's notorious diss song, "Shether," Nicki released the clapback of the century in 2017. "No Frauds" became a right away attack on Remy, with scathing lyrics and mysterious accusations about her person. "I in no way signed a 360, b*tch you wild dumb/ it's why Jay ain't clear his verse to your album," she rapped within the first verse, responding to Remy's claim that Nicki changed into beneath a comprehensive address her label that many in the tune enterprise agree with to be unethical. although it's a broadly general reality that Nicki wrote the track about Remy, some of the finer details, along with approximately a verse "Jay" did not clear, shed light on some mysterious enterprise tea. AZlyrics 6. Beyonce’s “Sorry” "better call Becky with the coolest hair" became one of the maximum talked-about traces frome Bey's 2016 album Lemonade, and sparked a web battle over JAY-Z's rumored infidelity with "Becky." Many fans believed the singer changed into speakme approximately Rachel Roy, a former associate and buddy of Solange Knowles rumored to be linked to the notorious elevator fight with JAY-Z. Roy denied ever being the purpose of Bey's "Becky" line in a statement launched quickly after the discharge of Lemonade, stating, "there may be no validity to the idea that the song references me personally." 5. Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, next” "Thank U, subsequent," turned into one of the pinnacle songs of 2018, with its tune video almost causing a stan meltdown on Twitter. the primary verse, but, had humans buzzing approximately Grande's called-off engagement to Saturday night live actor Pete Davidson, and continued the fallout from their cut up into the following year: "Even almost were given married/ And for Pete, i'm so grateful." The purpose of the line was pretty clear, however the music did not anything to shed light on what, exactly, allow to the end in their dating, which stays shrouded in thriller, specially thinking about now not many human beings are thankful for their exes. people nonetheless surprise what passed off to the duo that took over the tabloids, however all they're left with is a pair traces from Ariana about shifting on. four. Drake’s “Fireworks” The Drake and Rihanna courting timeline is a murky one, and not using a definitive evidence for stans to appearance to for confirmation in their as soon as-near friendship. on the June 2010 song "Fireworks," Drake rapped about a lover of his caught among the crosshairs of gossip blogs and drama in spite of an exquisite date at an area called lucky Strike. The duo reportedly spent a night at the NYC date spot collectively in 2009, however any future closeness fizzled out. at the time, however, this mysterious line was the nearest trace shippers had at the opportunity of a romance among the two. 3. Selena Gomez’s “Lose You to love Me” After years of staying enormously silent approximately her relationship with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez dropped a revealing song of her own approximately the former couple's downfall in 2020 in advance of her album uncommon. "Lose You to love Me" was Selena's No. 1 ballad comeback to the song industry. fans were not precisely sure who it changed into about till the scathing line, "In two months, you replaced us/ find it irresistible become clean/ Made me suppose I deserved it." fanatics pointed out it became probably approximately Justin and Hailey, who had eloped in ny town in September 2018, only some brief months after her and Bieber's final breakup. 2. Kanye West’s “well-known” as though the video for Kanye West's "well-known" wasn't shocking enough, his lyrics about his longtime feud with Taylor fast stoked the flames of a years-old pork in the press. "I made that b*tch famous" become the maximum pointed out line from the singer's 2016 The lifestyles of Pablo album, and prompted his now-ex wife Kim Kardashian to chime in and attempt to expose proof of Taylor's approval of the jab. The actual thriller surrounding the lyrics of this track has to do with whether or no longer Taylor gave approval for the road about her, which is hotly debated to at the present time. At this factor, the most effective those who understand the reality are Kanye and Taylor. 1. Taylor swift’s “terrible Blood” "awful Blood" become the fit that ignited rapid's longtime beef with Katy Perry in 2014, inflicting infinite rumors and testimonies to spread throughout social media. even as the lyrics didn't in particular name Katy, fanatics have been certain it changed into about her because of an interview Tayloro gave describing the source fabric for the track. Taylor and her "squad" of A-listing fashions and actresses that regarded in her "awful Blood" track video went viral throughout social media structures, appearing as a right away rebuttal to her pop celebrity frenemy with brutal lyrics. "Did you watched we might be excellent?/ nonetheless got scars on my returned out of your knife/ So do not suppose it's in the beyond/ these type of wounds they closing and that they final," Taylor sang in one of the tune's most sincere verses. It wasn't until might also 2017 when Perry eventually showed "awful Blood" become about her on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke." AZlyrics

Twister (1996)
Tumblr media
Date watched:  24 February 2018
So you know how there are some movies that just take you right back to your childhood?  This is that movie for me.  I saw it at the Summergarden Theatre at least five times when it first came out ($5 movie tickets in the 90s, yo), I had it on video and I would easily have seen this movie... a hundred times?  Maybe more.  It’s one of my most watched movies of all time, right up there with Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park, The Lost World and Priscilla.
I LOVE MOVIES, OKAY.
Tumblr media
But I’m going to be real here and say that despite my undying love for this film, and how it is one of the best movies of all time - and I mean that sincerely, because I have not seen the movies that are considered the best movies of all time so I just work off my own list which I think is the definitive list - this movie does have some flaws.
At this point in my life I have watched the five seasons of Storm Chasers probably ten times (yeah it’s only 50 episodes, it’s easy to watch), plus two seasons of Tornado Chasers, plus a buttload of documentaries about tornadoes and tornado alley, PLUS I’ve read articles etc, so... now, in my life, I have a limited understanding of storm chasing (not that I would ever DO IT, you could not pay me enough money to do that, I am deathly afraid of lightning) and the science behind it, and... this movie has some errors.
Not quite as many errors as Into the Storm - soon to be reviewed! - but parts of this movie are highly implausible.
I shall break it down, as always, in dot point form (because it’s easier and I’m lazy and I like LISTS):
At the start of the movie the tornado is coming for their house, and they have to sprint to their storm shelter which is at least 20 metres away from the house outside.  Whose bright idea was it to build a fucking storm shelter so far from the house?
Nowadays storm shelters are LEGIT, and they are a must have if you live in Oklahoma (I’m pretty sure the houses are built with them?)
A cool thing about this movie is that they’re trying to create an early warning system, which they are STILL TRYING TO DO IN REAL LIFE.  I think they’ve got a longer warning time now, and the radars etc are more advanced, but the basic idea of increasing warning times is the same.
And some storm chasers try to actually launch instrument probes into the tornadoes to read wind speeds, temperature etc, just like they do in this movie
So Twister is very ahead of its time in that respect.
Aside from that, it’s my considered opinion that 90s Cary Elwes is a fucking BABE
But the star of this movie is the HBIC Helen Hunt, who is... supremely badass and incredible in this role, and so BEAUTIFUL and TOUGH, and literally one of my favourite characters from any 90s movie ever.  She’s the head of the team, she’s the brains behind it all and she’s a goddamn badass, and they all respect and trust her implicitly - plus she’s the one putting her life on the line to help save other people.  She’s a goddamn treasure.
Bill Paxton gets a lot of the praise for this film, and yeah, Bill’s great, but for me it’s all about Helen Hunt.  She’s the BEST.
Plus this movie features Phillip Seymour Hoffman in his finest role
And Jami Gertz, the voice of reason, questioning why these idiots are doing the stupid things that they’re doing and seemingly not caring about their imminent death - she’s the audience stand-in, so they can rattle off tons of exposition about storm chasing to the newbie who doesn’t understand any of it
And a cool thing I noticed on this millionth rewatch - PSH is wearing an Oklahoma University cap, which is the university you go to in America if you want to study meteorology and specifically tornadoes
Though why anyone would willingly live in Oklahoma is completely beyond my comprehension
And the other thing I realised on this rewatch - which I probably should’ve picked up on before - is that this movie takes place over the course of one day and night, which is bananas considering they see about six tornadoes in one day
But of course it’s a tornado outbreak, and all of the tornadoes are occurring in the exact area where the storm chasers are (spoiler alert that’s not how it works in real life)
Tumblr media
One of the things I noticed on this rewatch was how great the chemistry was between Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt - they’re a great pair, and you want them to get together, because they’re kindred spirits (sorry Jami Gertz).
But... the problem now with Twister is that having watched all this stuff about tornadoes and storm chasing, the special effects don’t look that great (whereas when I was a kid, they were incredible) - they didn’t really get the look and movement of the tornadoes right.  They move too quick and unnaturally in this movie.
I mean, here’s a real tornado:
youtube
This is sped up (obviously) but they move sort of fluidly, and in Twister it’s kind of jerky, if that makes sense.
They also didn’t get the skies right - frequently they’re meant to be right under a storm but it’s a blue sky above... in real life the storms have rain and hail and winds, they’re not calm until you get near the tornado.
And I mean, some things are just incredibly far-fetched, like the floating cow:
Tumblr media
Which is obviously one of the most iconic scenes in this movie, but I don’t think it would happen IRL.  Tornadoes pick up things and toss them, they don’t float them around in the air unless they’re light.  And they turn things into projectiles, for example a fence post will impale a tree, etc etc.  So the F5 tornado at the end with a truck swirling around inside it - yeah, no, the truck is too big to be carried like that (gravity still exists), so the tornado probably would’ve just picked it up and tossed it, like it does with Jonah’s truck.
Bill and Jo probably would’ve been killed in the very first scene with a tornado in the movie, where they’re hiding under the bridge.  They’ve got no protection from the winds under the bridge at all.
And they DEFINITELY would’ve died at the end, with the huge tornado chasing them in the field - for one, they’re on foot trying to outrun it (ahahahaahaha no, no, no), and second, the shed they’re in is completely demolished while they’re inside the swirling tube of death with no protection, being held in place by leather straps.  They would’ve been ripped apart.
But it’s a movie, so... they live, and obviously I’m not complaining, because it’s literally one of my favourite movies of all time.  I’m just acknowledging its flaws.
The thing that’s great about Twister is that a lot of the effects aren’t visual effects and green screens like they are now - Bill Paxton was really in the back of the red truck, getting hit by tree branches and ice chips to simulate hail, and they really strapped him and Helen Hunt to a rotating machine to simulate being in the tornado in the end.  They don’t really do the practical special effects anymore like they did in the 90s, and I think they look better and more realistic, anyway.
Tumblr media
So yeah, it has its flaws, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that it’s still a great movie, and one of my favourites of all time - and for me, one of the most iconic soundtracks as well.  I could pick the Twister music anywhere (probably because I’ve seen this movie A MILLION TIMES).

Astral FAQ
These are Frequently Asked Questions I get about astral. Please check this guide before asking me questions concerning astralling! This will be updated regularly, as I receive more questions.
What is the astral?
Note that this is MY definition: I consider the astral to be absolutely everything; our plane of existence, spirits’ planes of existence, pop culture realms, etc. The astral is everywhere and everything.
How does astral travel work?
When you travel, a small portion of your consciousness leaves your body.
This consciousness manifests as its own body on the astral, or it could “awaken” in an astral body you already have. In travel, you do not see/hear/feel/think as clearly as you do during projection, simply because only a portion of your consciousness has left your body.
What is astral travel versus astral projection versus OBE?
Note, again, these are MY definitions:
In astral travel, a PORTION of your consciousness leaves your body and is able to explore other realms.
In Astral Projection, nearly your entire consciousness leaves your body. Astral projection is much harder to achieve than travel. This is the “gold standard” of astral travel, where you see/hear/feel/think with complete or almost complete clarity.
In an OBE, Out-of-Body-Experience, your consciousness FULLY leave your body. As of right now, I do not believe this is possible without a near-death experience, or actual death.
What are some ways to astral travel?
Meditate.
Guided meditations
Trance
Have a spirit you know and trust “pull” you into the astral.
(Visualization) Imagine a door. Imagine/focus on what is on the other side of the door. Walk through it.
(Visualization) Imagine an X (pool, mirror, etc). Imagine/focus on what is on the other side of X. Walk through it.
Lucid Dreaming
“Splitting”: Imagine a copy of yourself hovering above you. Notice your consciousness in your own body, then “jump” your consciousness into that copy of yourself floating above you. Proceed to go where you want.
What are some ways to astral project?
Just….keep practicing astral travel, maybe try new methods. I highly recommend reading Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce, I have literally NEVER EVER found a more comprehensive, extremely informative, and yet still beginner-friendly and not overly complex guide to astral travel/projection.
Differentiating “true astral” from imagination?
True Astral:
will always have external interactions that are not in your own head; entities talking/living their own lives whether your imagination/consciousness directs them to or not. Entities moving independently of your will.
Spirits (good or bad) being able to follow you back home, to your physical body and interact with you there
Unexpected/Unpredictable occurrences happen
You get injured and it may hurt your astral body and maybe feel it a little physically too. Injury damages your magical abilities/astral abilities
Your astral body can die and you won’t be able to access “true astral” until you regenerate.
You can meet other humans consciously. As in, you can text your friend and meetup on the astral together, and talk about it IRL afterwards.
Imagination:
You are in full control of everything.
What you expect to happen, will happen
Entities are like puppets or dolls; they don’t move around unless you imagine them doing so, and if/when they interact with you, it’s things you expected them to say
You will not tire, or will tire extremely slowly.
You die/get extremely hurt and nothing happens. You can regenerate at will/heal whenever and wherever you want.
You talk to your friend, then you talk to them later IRL and they have no idea what you talked about.
Why do people always imagine common fantasy stuff when astralling? Don't you think astral and what happens there is just your imagination and happens in your head? I mean strangely all the people who talk about astral experiences describe common fantasy stuff. I'd say if astral was real it would contain a lot of stuff people can't even imagine, and yet everyone describes dragons, elfs, etc, that which their mind already knows, nothing out of ordinary. Isn't this suspicious?
One reason people generally imagine common fantasy is stuff is because that’s what most people care about, and thus go to. It’s hard to care about a species that humanity has never even encountered before, isn’t it? Also, how can you visit the realm of something you have never even heard of/can’t imagine before? Astral travel needs knowledge of where you will go to, so it’s pretty hard (and probably super dangerous) to just say “take me somewhere beyond my imagination.”
There’s also the problem of perception: during astralling, the mind usually replaces things you don’t know with things you do know of, to use less energy while astralling. While you can force your brain to show “the truth”, the more the thing you are trying to look at is beyond your imagination, the more energy and effort it will take to see “the truth”.
How do you do astral laundry?
Note: Not limited to this list.
Have a companion you’re comfortable with seeing you nude do your laundry for you.
Astral travel two feet away from your earth self, take your astral clothes off, put them in your washer/dryer (with your astral self or earth self), physically run the washer/dryer (you can wash other clothes with it). Take your clothes out, travel again and put your clothes back on.
Destroy your clothes and remake clean ones.
How do past lives affect current astral shenanigans?
You might appear as one of your past life forms/bodies. Spirits from your past lives could also attempt to find you on the astral (whether malicious or friendly, so always be cautious).
How to meet spirits on the astral?
Tl;dr:
1. Be able to astral and able to distinguish between astralling/imagination.
2. Go somewhere with spirits.
How to safely meet spirits on the astral?
There is no 100% guarantee of safety when astralling.
Some suggestions are:
Have spirit guides/guardians/protective companions take you somewhere safe
Actually know where you are going and who you want to meet
How do you keep possibly malicious spirits/entities/beings from following you back home?
This is what wards in your living space/where you are when you astral are for. Wards can fuddle your energy signature from being found by spirits you don’t want to find you.
Make sure you “come back” correctly; that you walked back through your imagined door, imagined yourself falling back into your physical body, whatever.
Do a centering exercise, which will help you “pull back in” trace amounts of energy you left where you went when astralling. Do make sure your wards are up first, to make sure nothing follows the “pull” back to your physical body. If you don’t know what centering is/how to do it, check the “energy work” section of my FAQ/my energy work FAQ post.
Manners/social etiquette/social skills in the astral?
Obviously those will vary a LOT based on where you go. I literally can’t write a comprehensive guide as the astral is home to a limitless number of cultures.
But some things to keep in mind are:
Don’t fight every single thing you see ever. Don’t try and provoke fights with every single thing ever. Retribution is a thing and the majority of spirits have the advantage when fighting in the astral.
Just because something looks scary doesn’t mean it’s out to get you.
Observe the culture, maybe talk with some of the nicer (and not trickster) locals who can tell you the Do’s and Don’ts of their culture.
Heeeeeeey people keep talking about different places in the astral and are they alternate locations all on the same plane or are there alternate astral planes with alternate inhabitants?
There are alternate astral planes with their own inhabitants, and alternate locations on the same plane.
Example of the former: We are on earth. Heaven exists on its own plane of the universe.
Example of the latter: We are on Earth. An alternate location on our plane of existence would be Venus.
Is it possible for entities/other people to drag you into the astral (forcefully or not)?
Absolutely, both people and entities can bring you to the astral. And they can do it forcefully or consensually (consensually obviously takes a lot less energy).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This will be updated every once in a while. Again, please check this FAQ before you ask me any questions concerning this, please ^-^
