𝙨𝙮𝙣. ━ giyuu is wholeheartedly in love with you.
━ 𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙨. no bc i am making this man a pathetic simp for you idc. im writing these with myself in mind so yk, i have to pour out my feelings. and also i need to get all this giyuu writing off my chest, its actually a problem the fixation i have on this man but no fics tickle my brain just right so i have to write them myself
━ 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙨. btw thank you so much for all the love and support on my last two posts. literally you all are so incredibly sweet !! (∩˃o˂∩)♡ i just graduated college so i might have a bit more time to write but no promises!
━ 𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨. none. giyuu might be a little ooc. modern reader in kny. i rewrote this a few times so pls be nice 🤧. 1.4k words.
━ 𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩. im just going though and adding a synopsis and fixing my titles. og title: falling for you.
Giyuu actually doesn’t know how this occurred. No, actually that was a lie. He knew how this happened, but didn’t at the same time. And honestly speaking, the man does not care at all. You were so nice and sweet to Giyuu it made his head spin. Like it makes him ill in the best way imaginable. He doesn’t understand why you want to be around him so much, why you want to be his friend – not that he minds – but he just can’t get past his own indiscretions about himself. That was until you told him to his face.
You tell him that you thought he was cute – I'm sorry? – and you liked how calm he was – really? His brain can’t compute anything that you say. He doesn’t know if you need any medical assistance or he’s just dreaming. But it makes you laugh. The cute, dumb look on his face as he stands there, gaping at you like a fish.
It wasn’t like it was new information. You did enjoy his company the most. He was very quiet and by no means were you either, but you have this habit of matching the energy of people you were with. So, it was almost relaxing and refreshing spending time with Giyuu. Though Giyuu is silent most of the time, he does in fact talk. At first it's about a mission he was on recently, if and most likely when he gets more comfortable with you, he’s talking a little more in depth about random things that are on his brain. It's endearing really. Or sometimes he’s just talking about things that he thinks you might like to know, random facts, and so on.
But sometimes you do the talking and he likes that too. You could talk for hours and he could listen to every word you have to say. He would soak it up like a sponge as you focus your eyes on the crochet hooks weaving in front of you. Your voice is quiet and nice, soft and warm sounding.
This typically happens when you visit his estate. And you visit his estate a lot. Maybe Giyuu was a little disappointed that you weren’t staying with him, but he knows that he shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds. He’s lucky enough to see you this much, as much as he's lucky to see you at all. He can’t be too mad though. Mitsuri has jumped you the first moment she got when the Master had brought up your living arrangements. You had nowhere to go. And honestly, Giyuu may have been a little relieved that Mitsuri of all people had gotten to you first.
He really wouldn’t have minded if it had been Rengoku or Gyomei. For obvious reasons, Rengoku would be happy to have him stopped by and probably Gyomei too, because it seems like they don’t have a bone to pick with him. Honestly speaking, he wouldn’t have minded Muichiro either, though the boy would have probably forgotten your existence within the day. But any of the others, the thought made his skin crawl for plenty of reasons. Maybe it was because it would have become a hassle, or he would be harassed every time he went to visit you. Yes, it does seem on par with him that might just avoid you so you don’t get verbally assaulted like he does if you were to associate with him. But he was a lonely, pathetic man who was enamored with you at first glance the minute you showed up out of nowhere and he couldn’t help but thank the heavens that the stars had aligned so nicely for him – even if he felt he didn’t deserve it.
His only issue with the arrangement was Obanai. The man had almost butchered him on numerous occasions just for showing up to the Love estate. Even if he wasn’t there for Mitsuri, the Serpent Hashira didn’t seem to care. Maybe it was funny the first few times – it actually wasn’t – but you really couldn’t keep your mouth shut anymore. Obanai was wearing you thin with his commentary. Everytime Giyuu was around, it was like the others just couldn’t help themselves by making a comment insulting the man. Maybe it was because you didn’t want to disrespect a Hashira, especially if four of them were in the room with you, but Giyuu was here to see you, and it was almost like insulting Giyuu was an insult to you for wanting to spend time with him.
Mitsuri was okay with Giyuu coming to visit you, she actually encouraged it. So watching Mitsuri stand behind you while you gave Iguro a piece of your mind was something Giyuu didn’t know he needed to see until then. And maybe he did allow himself to feel a little selfish and smile mentally. He still remembers how Iguro had this look of disdain on his face, simultaneously looking like a scolded child and embarrassed because this was happening in front of Mitsuri.
Giyuu wondered if you caught the look that Obanai and Kaburamaru were giving you – if looks could kill and all that – but that was stupid. You most certainly did and just didn’t care enough. And Giyuu also wonders just what kind of sorcery you have, because he did hear you mention Sanemi by name at some point and now he's not bothering him as much, especially when you are around.
It wasn’t like he could do anything about it, not like he had ever done anything about it in the past. He never really had the heart to correct anyone in their assumptions of him, he never really thought he had to. Though, that mainly was because he thought he deserved such mistreatment. Regardless, it didn’t matter how he felt about it and himself. If you enjoyed his company that much to defend him, he was going to provide as much of it as you wanted. But there was something about it that made his heart swell a little bit bigger and flooded him with enough warmth that you could have mistaken it as him having a fever.
Now here the two of you were, sitting outside the Water Estate. You both had taken your places by the koi pond Giyuu has. It's so calm and cool. The soft moving of water could be heard every time the wind blew just enough, as well as the sharp sound of water splashing because some fish got too close to the surface.
Giyuu isn’t losing himself as he stares at the pond, watching the fish move around. He finds himself mesmerized though, as you talk. It’s nice, as usual. He likes how you talk and the way you talk. He could listen to you for hours and never get tired of hearing you. And he knows that if he glances at you now, even briefly, he wouldn’t be able to look away. You just look so… wonderful. It makes him dizzy. But he has such a weak will to do so, and now he's staring at you. Eyes soft and relaxed. He has never felt so content.
Giyuu doesn’t know if he realizes what kind of situation he is in. Or maybe he does. Maybe he’s finally realizing just how much of an effect you have on him. He likes you. He likes you beyond anything in the world. He loves you and everything about you.
You don't notice him staring. You’re too busy weaving the crochet hook in and out of your craft. You make it look so effortless. So enjoyable. And you seem so happy crocheting away as you speak. The way you talk and do it at the same time, you're so smart. You have to be. And Giyuu can’t help but hope you don’t look up. You’re as mesmerized with your work as he is with you. He would die though, if you caught him. The thought makes him sweat almost, being so close to you like this. His hands are clammy, and he's never been this nervous.
Yeah, he definitely has it bad for you. And for the first time in a while, even despite his nerves, he found the corners of his lips curling upwards, in a soft and timid smile. He averts his eyes, almost to gather his bearings, but that isn't enough. The subtle flush creeping onto his cheeks betrayed him. But he couldn’t be more delighted.
thank you for reading !! ૮₍˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶₎ა

Can I request a Giyu x female reader where Tengen accidentally walks in on them having sex but instead of leaving he just starts congratulating Giyu on attracting a woman despite his lack of flamboyance?
You Did It Without Style
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Absolutely I can. I have other requests to be done but this was so funny, I literally could not resist.
CW: Giyuu x Female reader, some voyeur from Tengen, uh, it’s mostly cute passion ‘’i miss you’ sex, so there shouldn’t be any triggers-
Tumblr media
The air was heavy between you two. Your boyfriend had been gone for a mission for over a week and you couldn’t help how much you missed his touch. Every kiss he laid on your skin, his hands caressing your body, the words he moaned under his breath made something inside you bloom. Coming together again after time separated was special. Your bodies effortlessly molded into one another, bursting with excitement at the reunion. Pulling away was an unimaginable sin neither of you dared to commit.
Even now, while he had your hands above your head and your naked legs around his waist, you couldn’t think of anything except for the way he wasn’t going anywhere. With each strong thrust into your body, you were reminded of the way he held you close after he left for that recent mission. Now, you were able to hold him as close as you could.
“Deeper, Giyuu, please?” You plead, words barely making it past the moans that spilled from your throat.
He placed a cold hand on your cheek and nodded enthusiastically, plunging himself deeper in to your tight walls. He was perfect, doing everything you said without hesitation, yet still exuding some level of control. How did he do it? It was alluring, you adored him.
The love making between you two progressed until he had your legs over his shoulders and all of his resolve was thrown out of the window. It was less romantic and slow, now desperate and hungry. Every pump of his cock had you tearing at the sheets below you. Your voice was becoming sore with how loud you were becoming, all of it out of your control.
“F-fuck, I missed you so much, y/n!” Giyuu exclaimed voluminously. You could tell he meant it because he usually stayed quiet during sex.
“I missed you too.” You moaned, tossing your head back when he started hitting that special spot deep inside you. You could feel yourself getting so close to your climax. Before a warning could escape your lips, Giyuu stopped his movements completely.
You tilted your head curiously. “What’s wrong?” You notice your boyfriend looking toward the door, his face completely pale as if he’d seen a ghost. Then it all exploded into a deep scarlet.
You decided to look in the same direction and you do the same thing.
Tengen was standing in the doorway, arms folded, eyes fixated on the both of you. How the hell could either of you forget that he was crashing at Giyuu’s place for the night? He was only here until the morning.
Giyuu opened his mouth to speak but was immediately silenced by a jeweled hand reaching out to silence him.
“Giyuu..” He said, his voice low, eyes closed. He looked about ready to scold the both of you for doing such a thing while a guest was present. It was impolite.
You couldn’t help the shame that poured over you. There were a million ways to apologize but you weren’t sure how to start.
He opened his eyes before either of you could do anything and smiled big. He held up a thumb and laughed loudly.
“Congratulations Tomioka! I cant believe you managed to attract a single woman! You did it without style! No flamboyance at all, I’m proud.”
You and your boyfriend looked at each other with confused expressions. Giyuu’s turned into annoyance when all of the words registered. What the hell did he mean? He attracted women all the time without flamboyance, and what did he mean he didn’t have any at all?!
Tengen continued to laugh until Giyuu snapped and yelled for him to leave.
You couldn’t help giggling a little when you two were finally alone. The embarrassment you felt hadn’t subsided, but you were happy that you wouldn’t be scolded for getting intimate with your favorite hashira.
It took Giyuu a moment to recover from the event, but as soon as he was done thinking about it, he had you pinned down again.
“I’m going to show him how flamboyant I can be.”
“Alright, Giyuu, just don’t hurt yourself.”

Hi! I love the way you write and was hoping I could make a request ☺️. Could it be either Giyu or Kyojuro (I can’t decide) where they’re in battle and their significant other saves them and sacrifices themselves for them. Thank you💖💖
Hello! Thank you so much! I did Kyojuro first, but I plan to write for Giyuu in another post. I couldn’t decide either. I included a little bonus at the end to make it a little happier. I hope that’s okay! I hope you enjoy it~ Also, I did include a spoiler in this one! If you haven’t seen the movie or read the manga, I’m so sorry!! Please message me or send me another ask and I’ll be more than happy to change it. I’ll also be writing for Giyuu next and I won’t include spoilers in his.
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
Word Count: 935
“There is no need to worry! I will return, I promise! I know you can’t help but worry, so I will be extra careful!”
Despite his protests and his reassurance, you followed Kyojuro on his mission. A pit had settled in your stomach, one you couldn’t ignore. You didn’t understand it, but just the idea of this mission kept you up at night. Something would happen on that train. You would be there to do something about it.
You barely made it on time, just reaching the fight during it’s climax. Kyojuro stood, covered in blood, facing a demon. It was an upper moon. There was no doubt in your mind. White hot rage filled you, consuming you. They had taken so much from you, from everyone. You will not let them take someone else. You thanked the heavens for giving you a warning, even if this would mean your demise.
When the smoke cleared, Rengoku’s one eye widened. Before him, stood his significant other. You had blocked the attack, and took the brunt of the hit. You turned with a smile.
“I know you told me not to worry, but I couldn’t help myself.” Rengoku was speechless, caught completely off guard. Then, panic and worry set in. He had a feeling what you were planning, but he hoped he was wrong.
“Kyojuro,” You spoke, “I’m being selfish and for that, I’m sorry. I will not let this demon touch you again.” You widened your stance. Akaza narrowed his eyes.
“My fight is with Rengoku Kyojuro. Get out of the way, I have no interest in you.” He sent an attack your direction and once again, you blocked.
“If you want to cause him any more harm, you will have to kill me first. You will not get past me.” Then, you vanished. No matter the injuries, you kept your word. Akaza could not get past you and had turned his fixation on you for the moment. Rengoku tried to jump into the fight and every single time, you would scold him over your shoulder.
“Kyojuro, no! Stay back! Please!”
Rengoku wanted to beg and plead with you to step back, to run away. However, he could never bring himself to say that when he would never do the same. Your passion and resolve was burning as bright as his. There weren’t many times where he had seen you this mad. Nothing he would say would deter you.
It was close. The sky was beginning to lighten. You only had to hold out a bit longer, just a bit. Kyojuro’s heart clenched at your injured form. He wished you never had to put yourself on the line in the first place.
Time slowed down and Kyojuro’s heart, stopped. Akaza’s hand was shoved through your chest. Blood splattered on the ground as you coughed. With a surprisingly strong grip, you held onto Akaza and a faint smile graced your features.
“At least I’ll get to see you burn to ash.”
Akaza quickly got away, vanishing into the forest. He swore he’d find Kyojuro again and finish the battle properly. Kyojuro ran to you, ignoring his body screaming in protest. He caught you as you fell, bringing him to his knees. Your light laugh turned into a cough.
“I’m sorry…I should never have done this to you. It was selfish.” Your voice was so soft, much softer than usual. You knelt in front of him, barely able to keep yourself up. Kyojuro was on his knees in front of you, gently holding you up by your shoulders.
“My love, you should have let me finish that fight. Then you wouldn’t be…” He trailed off, struggling to keep his smile. You shook your head.
“Kyojuro, there are so many that need you. These four need your guidance and your brother is waiting. I saved you not because you’re weak, but because I am weak. I could not bare the thought of living without you, but now I’m doing the same to you. Use that strength of yours, Kyojuro, and your beautiful heart, to bring peace to this cursed time. Burn those demons to ash. Become even stronger and prove him wrong. I will be waiting.” Your breathing was beginning to slow. Kyojuro took in a deep breath, and grinned.
“Rest, my dear. I will finish the fight with the corps, then we will see each other once again. My passion will always burn for you, so promise me you’ll be watching me.” His voice matched your softness and your heart broke.
“I promise. I can never seem to look away from you and that will never change. I love you, Kyojuro. Forever and always.”
Your forehead hit Kyojuro’s shoulder as you took your last breath. He placed a hiss on your head, then hid his face in your hair and wept softly. The younger slayers nearby wept with him.
Bonus:
Footsteps pulled your attention from the water underneath you. You sat on the railing of a red bridge, kicking your feet lightly. You looked as beautiful as he remembered.
“I am home!” A loud voice spoke and a large smile made it’s way onto your face.
“Welcome home, Kyojuro.” He uncrossed his arms and approached you, hugging you from behind. Your heart raced, like it was the first time he was embracing you.
“I’m sorry for making you wait!” At his words, a laugh escaped you.
“I think I should be saying that, not you!” You responded. He helped you off of the railing. Your fingers intertwined and the two of you walked to the afterlife, together.

Happy birthday, Giyuu 💙
Notes at the end for cultural context because Japan before many western influences was different 👌
------------------------------
Giyuu had slept for so long - he wasn't sure what time or day it was currently. His last mission left him exhausted and the sun on the horizon could have been dusk or dawn for all he knew. His only indication was that his lover wasn't in bed with him, so it was most likely the afternoon.
Walking from his room to the rest of his estate caused him to pause. What was all of this? Blue streamers decorated the otherwise plain estate and some rough writing of "Happy Birth" in Japanese followed by foreign writing below it.
The attempt at writing Japanese was cute, but he was confused as to what was going on. As he trailed through the estate he heard humming, singing in words he didn't understand. It was surely his betrothed that had done all of this, not that anyone else foreign was coming to his home ever.
"(Y/N)?" He called for her, looking around with a tilted head as he spotted something… Different on the kotatsu. The sound of a happy squeal and a pot bumping into another echoed in the empty home until the patter of her feet became louder.
"Giyuu!" Her smile was so bright as she made her way towards him before pulling him into a crushing hug. He was lucky to be battle hardened as she was able to squeeze him so tightly when she was happy. "Sweetheart! You're awake."
He never grew used to her affectionate ways, but it wasn't something he minded. His hand smoothed over her hair. He picked up the scent of food on her making his stomach growl.
"Ah! Let me get the food. Sit and I'll be right back!"
"What is all of this?"
"I'll tell you when I come back!" With that she bounded off, likely in a hurry to make sure she didn't burn whatever she was cooking.
He sat under the blanket of the kotatsu, pleasantly surprised to find it warm already. She probably had done that for him. His eyes fixated on the white cylinder in the center of the table, trying to figure out where he recognized it from.
"I'm back!" She set a bowl in front of him before sitting as well. He immediately knew the dish from the scent alone - salmon daikon. She struggled to cook Japanese food, as different from her native dishes, but she had made leaps and bounds as of late.
He could feel a smile coming over him, both having his favorite food and his favorite person working so hard to get it just right for him. Glancing up to her, he found her smile mirrored his, if not more enthusiastic.
"I'm happy you like it so far. I hope you like the cake, too." His eyes glanced to the confectionery surprise on the table.
"Cake?" He'd heard of them, but they were expensive and the struggle to make foreign food wasn't just in one direction. Not to mention the ingredients weren't cheap.
"Of course, it's for your birthday." She was proud of herself, he could tell. Her hand found his, wrapping her fingers around his own with a gentle squeeze. "Happy birthday, Giyuu."
He blinked at her owlishly, completely surprised she had done all of this to celebrate the day he was born. It had been so long since he had celebrated it - in fact it was only in passing when he looked at the date and realized he was a year older.
"Is something wrong? Did I do something inappropriate? You know I'm rusty on remembering what's normal here sometimes." She laughed it off, being good natured about it. After all, a few decorations and some food never hurt anyone.
"No, not at all." He wouldn't tell her birthdays are only celebrated for children, at least not moments after she had finished all of this work for him. Maybe another time, but he wouldn't let this dampen her mood.
"Good. I'm glad you were born and live to see another year. We'll have plenty more together, I just know it." She leaned over to place a kiss on his cheek. "Now let's eat before our food gets cold."
Through dinner she giggled at his messy eating, cooing about how cute and boyish he was with a mess on his face. He wouldn't admit to it, but he liked her cooking enough to inhale it. Just maybe he liked her doting on him to clean his face for him.
After they ate she disappeared for a moment, grabbing some plates and western utensils. He eyed them with confusion for a moment, but she had been nice enough to bring a fork and spoon for him to select his struggle.
"I know, but it's hard to eat cake with hashi. I promise, I tried at least once." He watched as she cut the cake, watching closely as the soft material gave way. She served him a piece, sitting the plate in front of him with a kiss to his forehead. "Birthday boy gets the first piece."
He stared down at the confection before him, seeing white covering two layers of spongy material, one dark brown and the other off white.
"Why is it different colors?" He poked it with a spoon, more comfortable with it than a fork.
"Well, I wasn't sure if you liked chocolate or not. So I figured half chocolate, half vanilla cake." She said it matter of factly, but he was reeling at how she even got cocoa powder.
He immediately went to the darker half of the cake and realized she was right - it was far too soft to be eaten with hashi. He hummed when he placed it in his mouth, the combination of white icing and chocolate giving him a taste of sweetness without becoming overbearing.
"Do you like it?" She didn't know why she asked that, considering he was moving to spoon more cake into his mouth immediately after the last bite.
Only after that piece was finished did he look up, crumbs and icing on his cheeks. At least she didn't have to worry about the cake going to waste, not when he was eating it with that level of enthusiasm.
"You're, precious, you know that?" She kissed his cheeks before licking the remnants of cake from her lips. "Happy birthday, sweetheart. I love you."
His cheeks burned red with a blush, but he was happy despite his embarrassment at her outwardly adoring nature. Someone did like him after all, loved him even. His heart swelled at all of it, even if it wasn't traditional - but it was all for him and he cherished that.
"I love you, too."
------------------------------
Heyo guys! So to give some context here - before western influence birthdays were celebrated very differently in Japan. Or typically not at all for adults. Kind of a children only thing. Giyuu's a big kid and we're gonna celebrate anyway. Basically cake and how we celebrate birthdays on western culture didn't really come to Japan until after WWII with the US occupation of Japan. So that wasn't a thing as KNY is set around the time of WWI, a whole generation before that. I'm not going into why Giyuu would have a foreign girlfriend, but it was more of a means to an ends to surprise him with a little birthday celebration. Plus I believe most of my followers are from western countries, so it makes sense in terms of both attempted cultural accuracy and something for my readers. I guess this is for us, too 😂
