Ive been on & off developing an open species for fun, ive never been too into cs/os so idqk what im doing but im figuring it out as i go along and enjoying myself... rundown is theyre a small species of kaiju within my furworld that are tied to/spawn from a specific ecosystem

+Unfinished as of yet but think the flip side to them is that under certain circumstances such as pollution in their home environment it can physically corrupt them into a "true" kaiju mode, the basic groups being oilslick, radiation, chemspill, and mutagen

mark is straightforward. he probably prefers to be single atm, let’s be honest. he’s definitely nice person to be around, however at the moment like other idols, he is also going through something. that’s probably why his ideal type is reforming. he lacks abusance atm, and that’s why he is confused? trying to find himself?

whatever happened to him, his ideal type currently is questionable because of him having hard time. i might do an update on him, however idqk when. maybe in six months? but no less tham three.

been thinking about sanji & my complicated feelings about him & like, as a disclaimer i know this is 100% on oda & the way he treats women in general, but sanji is such a frustrating character for me, bc i could love him if it wasn't for his, well, everything.

i've been specifically thinking about the queer & transfem sanji headcanons i've come across when navigating the tags & how i just can't get behind them. mind you this is not a criticism of those headcanons. i think the beauty of fandom is that it allows you to take canon & transform it until your heart's content. (tho it also begs the question of how much can you change a character until you're no longer in love with their canon self, but with little more than an oc).

i've been wondering why, even tho i generally love all queer headcanons for characters & relationships, queer sanji does absolutely nothing for me, & it's honestly bc my impression of his canon self is so strong. i can't get over the fact that canonically, sanji is a creepy misogynist obsessed with women, who also treats any woman that is not young & pretty with disgust, & that has also shown disgust & disdain at canonical gender non conforming characters.

i also feel that he canonically gets worse with time, instead of the opposite, tho maybe i'm misremembering.

idqk how to finalize this stream of thoughts, i just kind of needed to air out my grievances so to speak, but the thing that really grinds my gears is the fact that i don't even really hate him. as i mentioned before, he could genuinely have been one of my fave characters, which is why he is so upsetting for me, bc for every moment that i find myself liking him, there's a couple in which i frankly want to punch him in the face.

i guess if anything, i'm looking forward to live action sanji a lot, since they've already toned down quite a lot of the worse side of his personality, so i'll hopefully finally be able to enjoy his character fully.

anyways, long story short, i love one piece, but it most definitely has a misogyny problem & i want to fight oda about it. sanji is only the most obvious example of it, which is only exacerbated by the fact that he's meant to come across as charming & gentlemanly, which is frankly bs.

idqk what tumblr's deal is rn w/ the Salvation Army but my mom says it fake bc it would be all over the news if it was real. but i dont get this outdated pov either, for instance idols dating is a scandal rather than something thats accepted or foreigners becoming more popular is just proving that kpop hasnt been as successful as it wouldve thought with korean only groups. then there is the clear ageismt among who gets to debut some idols or trainees being deemed too old after 20+ year old it feels like they often advertise younger age groups to a certain perverted crowd. but they do lack variation that they claim to have and its quite um obvious when they have a stigma against something

this time i can understand the female idols' worries because it's all about the industry they work under. i do agree there's that "outdated" vibe in their thoughts as they were (intuitively) quite harsh (and r@c1st, again, censoring myself on purpose) when it comes to, once more, non-asians. with "international" groups like how katseye is aimed to be (in where idqk where's the international thing and i blame this suspicion on hybe rather than on geffen) i understand that it's a rapid change. it looks like the female idols are afraid them being labeled as "k-pop" will change anything. that's fine as long as they try to be respectful, however them being harsher just won't do both sides well in the longterm future. again, that's not about non-koreans, it's about non-ASIANS.

the cultural difference from koreans' side is pretty much understandable, there are traditions and generally a value system (roughly translated) that cannot be changed in the most part. that's the issue even in political matters where it'll be more visible and obvious with the time by. the non-asian fans are adapting to the korean culture in a way but if the other way around's not happening, that'll be a bigger barrier in the future, and if for some things that we cannot understand, the other way around. this applies to the industry itself too and to every other thing possible no matter if it's about the k-pop industry or not.

i’d assume they know each other, yes. however, i believe they aren’t friends. they’re probably strangers at the current time who have helped each other at hard time to one of them (i assume xiaoting since she’s scorpio) and nothing more.
