hello everyone~ long time no update!

so for the past few days I've been doing the usual (dancing, singing) but not everyday so I guess I'm cheating in that aspect and that I'm lacking the basic material, but there's still a lot of things I need to be better at to consider myself good enough

I didnt get to see both my friends yet so we didn't dance together as we planned, so I better keep on practicing to be the best one mwehehe

alsoooo something really curious happened yesterday, I was coming back from purchasing some stuff and a lady from an evangelical church stopped me to give me one of their books and she told me that on Saturdays they have dance classes for young people and that they participate on national competitions

I thought to myself "WHAAAAT HOW DOES SHE KNOW THAT I LOVE TO DANCE???" since I was dressed up like a normal human being and I wasn't listening to music or anything, so is this some sort of scouting?? I want to go to check it out and maybe make some friends along the way but I'm really not an evangelist and I don't really want to get too much into the other activities, also my grandma told me that those of that church are kinda greedy but its normal since that isn't our religion but I really want to go to check it out

so that's really a dilemma, should I go or not? I've been checking their videos and it's a team choreography and I think I am in their level to join, she didn't tell me that I have to pay or anything but what if my grandma's right?? we'll know it someday... but that really felt like a call for me I don't know what that lady saw on me but she definitely knew something

To be honest to me it's not really that big of a deal if someone just genuinely likes TSH's atmosphere and aesthetic and quotes and whatnot. Parts of it are purposefully written to be alluring and impactful and pretty, and I think you're allowed to find them so without it meaning you missed the warning about not idolizing people in pursuit of pointless and shallow ideals. You can be aware of the message and critique it wanted to convey while also just enjoying the book itself from time to time lol. If someone says they have a morbid longing for the picturesque or whatever chances are they know they're not supposed to take it literally or base their whole personality on it, they just think the cool quote is cool. And actually I think letting yourself indulge in Richard's perspective makes you realize even better how skewed it really is and it's the best way to experience TSH

It's funny how we shame pornstars for being potentially drugged and raped so their producers make money, but they and the people who watch it get off scot-free because porn is a "natural part of growing up". Like wtf????

As we already know, Hyuna was a particpant of the 49th season of Alien Stage. While many people theorize that they had a duet at some point, its highly unlikely. The reason I believe this is because Luka was the one who won Alien Stage, meaning even if he went against Hyuna, she would’ve died.

We could say that the rebellion could’ve saved her before her death, but even then the duet wouldn’t have time to be complete.

I believe that its likely that Hyuna almost went against him, but left right before the round. Theres multiple reasons for me to think this.

We know that its possible for kids to run away from Anakt Garden, from both Till and Ivan trying to. It’s not like Hyuna was someone rebellious before Hyunwoo’s death, in fact seen as the garden’s big sister, no doubt gaining at least some favor with the teachers. While I don’t think this would’ve led to her escape, it could’ve helped her at least attempt running away. However we never get any scenes showing she tried.

It’s possible that she thought about it, but decided against it, wanting to stay with the rest of the kids there. As the garden’s older sister, she definitely cared about them all. She has a lot to lose if she ran away, unlike Ivan with Till.

This might explain how she got all the way to Alien Stage, perhaps because she stuck with them until adulthood, showing how despite a desire to leave, she stayed because of how much she cares for them.

We also see her with cigarettes, something that she really shouldn’t have. In fact, she shouldn’t even know what those are due to her sheltered life at Anakt Garden. I believe this is likely due to aliens sneaking them to her at some point. We know that if she was the big sister to Anakt Garden, it’s likely the teachers really liked her, perhaps sneaking her contraband as a gift or such.

If this is the case, then it would also show that she would’ve still obeyed the aliens orders and rules, despite wanting to leave. This shows how far she is willing to go for her sisters and brothers in Anakt Garden, doing whatever it took to gain favor with the aliens and to protect them. If she is willing to do this much to help them, then it means she cares a lot for them.

Which leads me to my next point.

I believe that because of how much she cares for the other kids, she stuck with Alien Stage. She might’ve been looking for a way out while in the contest. This is where I have two theories.

1. She was not able to rescue anyone and the only people left was her and Luka, so when the rebellion came she left. This fits, because she has nothing left to stay for. She no longer has wishes to be around Luka, and this would also paralell Ivan and Till, how Till left Ivan behind, but instead Till went back to Anakt Garden and Hyuna went with the rebellion. This would also give them uncomplete business, with Luka not getting the duet he could’ve had with Hyuna and Hyuna not getting the closure she needed from Luka.

2. Another theory is that they came and saved her before it was just her and Luka. Knowing how far she came for the other kids, I doubt that at this point she would leave them, so if this is the case then its most likely that the other kids in the contest that they could save were saved. In fact this could even be where Issac ans Dewey came from, perhaps they once were Alien Stage contestants themselves.

I believe theory one is much closer to reality then theory two, as its likely Alien Stage wouldn’t be able to turn a blind eye to most of the kids escaping. I also think theory one is much more narratively compelling for Hyuna and Luka’s relationship, showing how even if Luka was the last one, Hyuna would still never chose him.

every six months since i was fifteen i will feel the inexplicable need to rewatch my favorite movie of all time (fight club). it's like a compulsion and my mind will legitimately not rest and i will be unsettled, thinking fight club thoughts for days on end until i find a decently virus-free site to pirate that goddamn movie on. i can always feel it creeping up and think Oh Its Fight Club Time Of Year Again and i try to ignore it but i just cant. i get this phase where i feel so lost and scared in life but then i watch fight club and im factory reset and normal again. self fulfilling prophecy . my body craves fight club in the same way that it craves water I Love Fight Club

Beauty Standards Broken by K-Pop Idols

1. Small Eyes 

BTS’ Jimin is known for having small eyes. He’s shown fans that he’s not handsome despite them, but rather because of them. Another idol known for this is TWICE’s Dahyun. She has a pair of alluring small eyes which are always as beautiful and shining during performances. It’s a fresh take from the old beauty norms in Korea that big eyes = beauty. 

2. Tanned Skin 

TWICE’s Jihyo is known to have darker skin tone which made fans questioning about the beauty standard of having light skin. Jihyo has proved to fans that tanned skin is gorgeous as she always glows on stage whenever she has a tan. She has also spoken during interviews that she is confident about her skin tone.

3. Curvy Bodies 

Hwasa of Mamamoo is powerhouse on stage with her beautiful curvy body. Her gorgeous curves and her confidence in her own body is epitome of “you do you.” She may not have the ideal slim body, pale flawless skin, or big eyes, but it is her unique look that makes her even more attractive. 

4. Short Height 

A few idols such as Woozi of Seventeen and Jinhwan of iKON who stand at the height of 164 cm has showed to fans that they can also perform as well as other members. Instead, they are more noticeable among the group because of their height which has made them receive more love from fans too. 

5. Mixed Race 

People with mixed race in Korea might before bullying targets in Korea as they don’t fit in sometimes. Biracial idols such as HeuningKai of TXT and Somi have captivated the hearts of many fans. They might not be the same as Korean idols but that can be their charm too.
