Okay okay hear me out
Johnny with like a much shorter (I’m talking like 5’3) gf who’s also chubby
Just like a really soft sweet chubby gal, maybe she’s a lil insecure about her body type and it confuses him because he thought she was pretty either way if that makes sense??? Like he doesn’t get why she’s insecure he thinks she’s the prettiest person ever 😭
Okay so . . . I'm hearing you out on this SO HARD !!!! Ughhh I can totes imagine this !! ((also you sent in another ask like this?? sorry if i had originally interpreted this as a request and it wasn't?? 😭😭 idk hope you enjoy <3333))
Also also also... i would love to explore this prompt more in the future, if anyone has additional thoughts to spare <333 👉👈 apologies for any spelling errors
taglist: @friedwormeater @0ddmia @lambofjudgement @lizve @urfavsuh @rainbowcake1212 @sadsimp @marriedtoeddie @strawberry-moonpies
Johnny cares about his own appearance . . . In the sense if he doesn't upkeep his beauty, how else is he gonna pick up prey at the bar?
One of the other talented fic writers on this site, I don’t remember who <:O said he would have learned a lot about "how to act" through television. Now, I don't think he had much access to television, except when he was much younger and the slaughterhouse was still running. The one at the bar will also play old films or news stations that come in all funny. . . Anyways !! All of that absolutely applies to this too!! He's seen pretty boys on magazines that Drayton always glares at him for staring at them too long. He knows what girls are "supposed" to like and he feels confident in pulling it off. That's sort of where that desire begins and ends though. While I think the Slaughter family can care about looks- they each have personal, preferred taste- it's not high on their list of wants. It's always a delightful bonus when their partner is a cutie <3333
Johnny is such a little trickster !! Like what a little greaseball he's so annoying sometimes *sob emoji*
At the beginning of the relationship, he's gonna tease ya about your height. Not your body weight though, it's never polite to comment on a lady's weight.
He tends to pick on everyone though. It's like some demented love language, it seems.
Anytime you make a face or a disgruntled noise about it, he seems so confused??? Like what's up with you??? You never get like this. Why are you being weird around him . . .
Basically- gets annoyed that you're annoyed at him for "no reason"
If Johnny has had other partners before this, his handling of the situation would be different. I am in the camp of strongly believing you are his first partner tho <33333
So you're gonna have to spell it out for this mean ol guy cause he doesn't understand these "social cues" cause he's never quite seen it with his folks, and you can't really interpret gestures like yours in magazines and novellas and stuff. He's just a lil lost, why don’t ya give him a hand, huh?
You tell him your worries: that you feel inadequate to be his girlfriend. That you're small and chubby and he deserves someone who is just . . . more than that.
He's lookin at ya all bug eyed and funny the whole time Ya scared him half-to-death, darlin! He thought something was seriously wrong (side note: just because Johnny doesn't take it real seriously- at first- does not mean that it doesn't matter or isn't serious irl at all <333 stay safe out there folks)
She pouts, turning her head at her shoulders and swiveling her body- hands clenching her arms in a crisscross- away from him.
Johnny pulls a face. What had he done this time? He approaches her cautiously, as to not spook her- she had argued for him to leave her outside for right then. He wasn't having much of that.
"Darlin'?" His hand lands on her shoulder, not quite as gentle as he should be with his love. She turns her head the other way, hoping this will somehow make her able to evade any heated arguments. "Darlin', no no- c'mon."
He's not one to give up, though. Which- in this moment- she hates that was one of the qualities she fell in love with him over. The drive, compassion; the awful persistence he had.
She sniffles, not wanting to cry over some- dumb comment he made. A stupid inference of her body to something else. She had half the mind to be angry, instead. She couldn't be angry at Johnny, though. At least not so . . . forthright.
"S'just, you're always teasin me for my height, Johnny. And- and I know you're just holdin' your tongue about my body."
Johnny looks at her with an incredulous squint. "What?"
"I get it, Johnny. But it's no need to tease me for it." He's slow on the uptake. The gears finally turn and whirr into life. He sets his palm, steady and firm, to her shoulder. His fingers curling against her clothed body gently.
"Ah, sweet-cheeks. I think you're stunning. I haven't been teasin' ya." His lover interrupts him with a look. She returns her head strictly to its position.
"Yeah, yeah, I have been. I know. I love you, though. You're sweet, darlin. Hottest girl I've ever laid my eyes on. Now stop pouting." She's feeling much better already. She wants to pout more just to spite him, which makes her giggle audibly. "C'mon. Let me kiss you," he smiles when he hears her laugh. It's toothy, it's sharp. It's inviting, though. "Look at you, sweet thing. Smilin' already. C'mere."
She turns around, letting Johnny pull her into a tight embrace. Kissing the top of her head, her cheek, her pretty lips. Lips he hopes she'll let him kiss a dozen times over.
She still weeps in his arms, less from the residual sad feelings and more from just how sweet her man could be.
"Love you too, John."
(Is calling him john sacrilege . . . it nearly feels like it should be. but i couldnt help write this bit like that hehe <3333)

So first, in all seriousness: That conclusion is ironic because it necessarily means only seeing Israelis as Bad Guys, not as real people.
If they killed hostages because they mistook them for unarmed Palestinian civilians -- in other words, if they were genuinely trying to indiscriminately kill Palestinians, lying their asses off about wanting to eradicate an explicitly antisemitic terrorist group whose stated goal is to violently destroy Israel and which just managed to mass-rape, murder, mutilate, and burn its way across 22 villages --
WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY PUBLICLY ADMIT IT?
People are genuinely in the notes all "wonder how many other hostages they killed and didn't tell us about," like it wouldn't have been SO MUCH easier for genuinely evil people to, idk, blow up the bodies? Bury 'em somewhere? And publicly blame Hamas when those hostages are never returned?
Especially when Hamas has literally said it has no fucking clue which hostages are still alive? Fuck, just leave them as is and say Hamas shot 'em! SO EASY! Propaganda win! "We found them just a moment too late!"
Occam's razor suggests that it MIGHT make more sense if, say, the hostages were in an area that the IDF was sure only Hamas members were in.
(So many of the comments are assuming the hostages saw them and were jumping around yelling "don't shoot." And/or that the IDF soldiers could have known from a distance that they were unarmed. Not like they're fighting a terrorist group that relied on suicide bombing for years oh wait.)
If I just google "How did the IDF kill hostages," I can find out on the first page of search results that the three hostages had somehow been abandoned by, or gotten away from, their captors, but were in "a key Hamas stronghold" with "some of its most elite forces and heavy fortifications," where they're constantly being ambushed and where "Gazan civilians are prohibited."
You know what, let me just highlight that for all the clowns out there.
THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE GAZAN CIVILIANS ARE PROHIBITED FROM BEING IN THIS HAMAS STRONGHOLD AND HAMAS HAS REPEATEDLY AMBUSHED THE IDF THERE, you clowns.
It is absolutely friggin ridiculous to assume that Israel is ever lying about this stuff, or that Hamas is reliably truthful. And I'll tell you why.
Hamas is CONSTANTLY, VISIBLY lying. It keeps tight control on social media and journalism in Gaza. So that people don't go telling the rest of us what Hamas is like. So that Hamas can control the narrative.
"Two years ago, when there was a previous war with Hamas, there was the head of UNRWA Gaza office, a guy named Matthias Schmale. He had said in a TV interview, when asked, he said that the Israeli strikes on Hamas were very precise. He acknowledged that Israel was targeting the Hamas terrorists, and not, as many media and others allege, that Israel targets civilians. He said no, Israel’s targeting the terrorists, and it’s very precise.
"And when he gave that interview, he suddenly became persona non grata in Gaza. Hamas organized protests, orchestrated protests, against him and basically pushed him out of Gaza and pushed him out of his position."
Israeli culture, by contrast, is AUTISTICALLY BLUNT. This is super refreshing in some ways, but FRUSTRATING AS HELL in others.
Because what happens over and fucking over is:
1. Some Israeli official blurts out the unvarnished truth, without a crumb of an iota of a thought about what their audience's context or assumptions are.
2. Allistic people cheerfully interpret it in absolute bad faith to fit their worst pre-existing beliefs. And frequently then weaponize it against Jews while (sometimes) pretending not to.
3. Hamas says some shit to the Western media that everyone assumes is 100% true, then turns around and tells its allies, and Palestinians, wild-ass things like,
"Oh, you seven million Palestinians abroad, enough warming up! There are Jews everywhere! We must attack every Jew on planet Earth – we must slaughter and kill them, with Allah's help. Enough warming up!"
(Fuck, wait, that sounds even worse now that Hamas agents have been arrested in Germany and Denmark for plotting to attack Jewish institutions in Europe.)
4. UGGGGHHHH.
Seriously, how can people take what Hamas says in good faith every single time?! It literally weaponized mass rape, and everyone's like, "It was a glorious justified activist uprising!"
It's been creating NGOs to feed us propaganda for years. Like Samidoun in Germany, and probably Students for Justice in Palestine in the US. We eat it up, because Hamas has studied how to spin things to sound super progressive even when they're literally cutting off boobs to play with.
Hamas leaders: "We don't even know how many hostages are still alive. The number's not important."
Everyone else: "Israel doesn't think Palestinians are real people. That is the obvious conclusion here. The cartoon villain cut-outs I'm picturing aren't fighting a terrorist group, with a per capita military budget that rivals Ukraine's and Iraq's, whose stated mission is to violently destroy Israel because Jews are gross.
"These cartoon villains obviously are genocidal racists who just happen to have inexplicably taken 75 years to get around to kill" -- hold on, I'm autistic, my sarcasm requires a math component...
let's be really extra here and include every Palestinian they've killed over the past 75 years, and round up a whole bunch because the war isn't over, and take it as a percentage of the current population rather than the total population over the past 75 years....
-- "2% of Palestine. They're just really hand-crafting an ARTISANAL genocide. They're GOING to wipe out Palestine. Just GIVE them a minute. GEEZE.
"By contrast, I CLEARLY recognize the humanity in others."
Speaking of which, has anyone here considered giving a shit about the hostages or their families? Unserious question. I know the standard operating procedure out there is to deface or mutilate displays of hostage photos and beat Jews who witness it.
(Or yell chants about massacres and hostage abduction being justified, at a vigil, and then storm the library they retreat to. That one was special enough to deserve its own mention.)

If possible, are there any Pantheon skins that you wish to be Canon?
Tumblr media
Just give us a Legendary The Warrior skin of Pantheon reborn.
Lore wise it could be after the Ruination. Atreus has expelled Pantheon from his body with his own gritty resolve, Pantheon requires a vessel to take form in mortal shape but the war of the Ruination has caused so much havoc and strengthened him so much that he manages to keep a corporal form for a brief while. He retreats to the peak of Targon and to spite Atreus revives his long-dead friend Pylas to possess and mold his flesh to the war gods needs. Pantheon is fully in control because Pylas has long since died, only using the body himself.
Now Pantheon pursues the interests of Targon and his own dark desires while Atreus tries to actively counter the War god. Both will still fight the darkin, but for different reasons. Pantheon will do so because they threaten Targon Prime and Atreus does so to save the humans that's would undoubtedly die in the wake of the darkin.
Tumblr media
VOICELINES
Pantheon differs from Atreus in a few key aspects (heh) where Atreus is noble and stalwart, Pantheon is deliberate and ruthless, where Atreus anger towards the gods is a cold and determined hate Pantheon's contempt for mortals, darkin and all those who would face him is clearly made evident, he speaks with pride, being condescending to everyone he encounters, thirsting for another challenge to vanquish. His LoR voice lines already highlight his personality quite well and I think the sound effects work perfectly for him, that could all be ported from LoR into league to replicate the sound effect. Voice line wise he could have interactions with the following:
Pantheon (Atreus) - While Pantheon does not outright hate Atreus like let's say Aatrox for example he sees the mortal man as a failure of a warrior, knowing only defeat his entire life. Interactions would be more condescending.
Ascended Pantheon - Here Pantheon would see Ascended Atreus as a worthy challenge, something along the lines of "Perhaps now you can prove yourself worthy." Or something more condescending. "No matter the cosmic might you hold, you will always be a mortal."
Aatrox - He loathes Aatrox with a passion for what he did to him, but also realizes that the Darkin might be his only true equal combat-wise.
Leona - Pantheon would be fond of Leona, applaud her for her fine work, call her the daughter of Targon, and that the sun is proud of what she has wrought upon the Mountain. He would tell her that she is right, that she needs to defend her people from the coming darkness and not grow careless upon her golden throne. He would support the militaristic order of the Solari and goad on their zealous witch hunt as in the end all he cares about is war and the more carnage Leona causes on the mountain in the name of the sun, the stronger he gets.
Diana - Diana is the same as Leona, he would tell her to keep fighting, to hold on and think of her people. That he can see the cracks in the Solari foundation and that soon the moon will triumph. Much like Leona, these are sweet lies to goad both of them onward to fight harder and grow more reckless in their pursuit of victory.
Taric - Taric is the antithesis to Pantheon, championing love and life against his war and hate, He would call out Taric and try to kill the noble hero because he spits on the ideals Taric protects.
Soraka - Pantheon would be disappointed in Soraka, to have forsaken the stars for these mortals, he would never understand and while he is not hostile he also tells her that she is dead to him. Just another mortal.
Zoe - He would want to know how Zoe sealed the Darkin away, and if there is a way to make them disappear forever. He would also be annoyed by her childish appearance/demeanor since Myisha was a lot more mature than Zoe.
Aurelion Sol - He would remind Aurelion Sol that with his return the tether locking him to Targon grows stronger again. It has been Pantheon for ages to bind Aurelion to Targon and now with him returned Pantheon will make sure Aurelion is put back in his place.
Other Darkin - He would simply tell them that their end is nigh, that Pantheon has found them, and that they are about to expire.
Other Gods/Demi Gods - here it depends on how many interactions would be wanted, he could comment on the powers of the sun disc being borrowed from the Sun/Solari/Leona's aspect or challenge Volibear to a fight. Lots more here if interactions need to be stretched out.
Sion - Pantheon looks kindly on Sion, a beast revived for war, its very humanity dull and eroded where only violence and anger remain. Pantheon would call Sion his champion of War and tell him to go slaughter in the name of war.
Other Warriors (Garen/Tryndamere/Darius/Olaf/etc) He would salute them and challenge them to combat, noting how a death at his feet is the greatest honor they can wish for.
A cool idea for VO would be that he gets a Taunt like normal champs but then you get different voice lines for ally champions when you hit taunt.
Example
Enemy Pantheon - "Atreus, you come before me again, with my very own spear. Kneel boy. A dog should recognize it's better."
Ally Pantheon - "You feel the power, let loose Atreus, show me your rage and perhaps you will be worthy of my favor."
Enemy Aatrox - "Another one of your flesh puppets for me to rend Aatrox? Pathetic!"
Ally Aatrox - "You and me against them?! Who can stand against Aspect AND Darkin?"
Enemy Leona - "You say you burn as the sun does! So then, show me your fire girl!"
Ally Leona - "The daughter of Targon and War eternal who could hope to stand against such a phalanx of spear, sword, and shield?"
I always wanted to have more interaction with allies, since you only see enemy champions every now and then, and even if you do they mostly attack you and never let you enjoy the interactions. Whereas if you play with friends you can actually enjoy this content of ally interaction. Idk why Riot has not done this before.
Tumblr media
MODEL
The base design doesn't have to differ so much from the Legends of Runeterra Warrior design. (KEEP IT RED) Red stands for hot-headed aggression, red stands for fire, red stands for blood. Red is a color much more fitting to war than blue and the argument that Pantheon's cape is blue to show his allegiance with the stars is null and void since LoR showed us all HOW GOOD red looks on Pantheon. It fits so much better.
Some small tweaks here and there perhaps but overall the base model looks great. If the cape would be longer and more flowing like Yoric it would be great, aside from that there could be small visual design changes for reaching levels 6/11/16. Also as a longtime Pantheon main I really love the aesthetic of his face being shrouded, I dislike the new post rework Pantheon skins for that very reason. Pulsefire, Ruined and even Ascended Pantheon are all marred by the face that they show his face, when his facelessness was something that made him stand out. In this skin he should absolutely not have a face since he is a divine being that helmet should be his face, the face of war, nothing else.
The colors get brighter and hotter, to signal that Pantheon is getting supercharged with the psychic energies of war, colors would go from red-orange to bright yellow, additionally, the number of spears in his cape could also increase from 2/4/6 at levels 6/11/16 with small edits like the passive fire on spear and shield and the fire plume increasing in sizes slightly.
Tumblr media
ADDITIONALLY
There could be a number of smaller tweaks to make the VFX stand out. Like pulling a new spear from his cape after Pantheon throws it. Or that Pantheon doesn't even throw the main spear but shoots a spear forward from his cape as he can manifest them. Voicelines like "Unstoppable, War eternal an Invincible!" could be added to his E whenever he uses it as if he mocks whoever dares attack him. "Here mortal, or just Heel!" when he stuns you.
His ult could be Pantheon coming straight down where the spear lands, instead of in an angle, and the angle is then covered by either a spear storm or meteorite shards. The straight-down Pantheon landing being a homage to Grand Skyfall. He does not land sooner and he still shoots down a spear first, but this time he just lands from above.
Tumblr media
As for the dance, either you give him some workout to flex on people or you give him the Ricardo Milos dance. Which let's be honest, everyone wants to see.
Lore wise I think Pantheon is very important. Currently, we have Pantheon (Atreus) Diana and Taric who are all outright heroes. Aphelios serves under Diana and Zoe does not really care she does whatever she wants. Soraka while a hero lives secluded. Targon only has Leona as a villain and the celestial Pantheon would fill that slot very well. He is the god of war, he would try to rouse them all against one another and also give them a reason to unite against him. To fight together, and perhaps even be incentive enough for Leona and Diana to lay down their weapons and join forces.
Additionally, all it takes is a skin to create a champion's worth of impact on the league universe. There doesn't need to be a new champion from Targon to push the narrative forward which means less time that needs to be invested on Riots part.
Tumblr media
Thank you for your time, I will be sitting here on my mountain top, waiting and hoping that I started a fire.

Hey! One dramione post here on tumblr touched the topic that it's all always about Hermione and her being tortured/feeling despised by others, but it's a rare occasion that Hermione comments on Sectumsempra used on Draco by the "good side" when they discuss school years... Idk, just... your thoughts?
Hmm. I’m not sure, dear anon -- I just don’t think this is a one-to-one comparison. Hermione was purposefully tortured and degraded for her blood status by Bellatrix. And while obviously the Sectumsempra event was physically traumatic for Draco, I think it’s an utterly different scenario.
Firstly, in the Dramione space, I think it’s perfectly reasonable for fic authors to focus on the way that Hermione feels less-than. And that’s because her being hurt constitutes the canon history between the two main characters. Dramione fics are about their relationship, and the Sectumsempra incident isn’t a crux of the way they’d feel about each other or interact. Hermione is not responsible for Harry’s actions, nor does she owe Draco anything in the wake of the Sectumsempra. Whereas if you’re writing a romance between these two, when Draco was fucking terrible to Hermione until the beginning of book 6? Yeah, that needs to be addressed! Heavily and immediately! Foundationally!
The incident does constitute a major Harry/Draco moment, so I’d suspect the curse would show up more often in Drarry fics. Even then, though: Harry owes Draco an apology, but in no way was he a Bellatrix figure in Draco’s life. When Harry casts Sectumsempra, he’s cutting off Draco trying to cast the Cruciatus curse. It’s not an act of hatred but of self-defense, and wildly chosen accidental self-defense at that.
Even in a metanarrative sense I think they’re totally different species. Hermione’s torture at Bella’s hands is a Horrors Of War moment. An actual literal war criminal and murderer nearly slaughters one of the main characters, and brands her forever with a reminder of her torture and social degradation.
Whereas the Sectumsempra moment, imo, is a Coming Of Age moment for both Harry and Draco. It’s a perversion of 1) the Midnight Duel challenge from Philosopher’s Stone, and of 2) the hallway curse exchange from Goblet of Fire when Hermione’s teeth grow out. In comparison with those earlier incidents, which are combative but reversible, Draco trying an Unforgivable Curse and Harry using Sectumsempra serves as a jarring realization that these characters are no longer kids play-acting with temporary results. Their behaviors are now adult enough to be matters of life and death and lasting damage.
None of this is to say that Draco being hurt by the curse is inconsequential. In particular, it’s notable that Harry never explains or apologizes for what he did (despite being horrified by the curse). Since Draco never finds out what happened, I could see him internalizing the curse as a reason that the “good side” is hypocritical, that they hate him and want him dead, etc. There’s lots of character fallout to dig into, for sure! I’m just saying there’s a good reason why D/Hr writers tend to focus on Hermione’s history first and foremost.
In fact, this is probably an unpopular take, but I’ll say that a Dramione fic would totally lose me if they tried to equate Hermione’s torture with the Sectumsempra, or tried to have the characters, like, bond over the two things. And to be totally honest, I’m not fond of the way a lot of Dramione fics emphasize Draco’s physical scars from the Sectumsempra (which aren’t even proven to exist in canon). The implicit message there seems to be that Draco is just like Hermione -- that he’s endured a kind of torture at Harry’s hands, and being tortured by The Other Side is something that they share.
That just doesn’t map for me emotionally at all. The two moments do not share a power differential. And in my opinion it’s absolutely crucial to Draco’s character that he wasn’t made a helpless victim or degraded emotionally by the Order. He was made a victim and degraded by his own side. The realization of who, exactly, luxuriated in his pain and humiliation should be one of the biggest epiphanies Draco has on the road to redemption, and the rejection of his former life.

ok so im posting this conversation transcript so ill ((hopefully)) be able to find it later and also yall should read the wild stuff @nocturnal-and-chaotic and i came up with while discussing HNOC a while ago
CHEL-i like to think that literally the only reason brian bothered to give any prophecies was that he was trying to keep mordred from getting him stuck in the sun
NOCT-yes
but also he tries to be a good person
CHEL-which comes with the lovely mental image of every time mordred passes the hanged man hes like ‘is that prophetic statue.....glaring at me?’
NOCT-gorgeous
wanna hear my latest mechs hot take
CHEL-sure
NOCT-the hanged man rusts is just brian rolling 2 nat 1's and a nat 20 on a charisma check
CHEL- noice
also he was stuck on means justify ends that whole time and thats why he couldnt just get down
it would have been rude
NOCT- oh my god youre so right
or maybe he wasn't actually hanged, he just got himself stuck and everyone sort of assumed he had been hanged and he was to embarrassed to say anything
CHEL-thank you. im very into your idea that brian just fucked up and got himself stuck
and then people started using ‘the hanged man’ as a cautionary tale and he couldnt just get down!! that would be a bad example!!
NOCT-no no, he's physically incapable of getting down, and it would be rude to ask for help
the real reason it takes the crew so long to fish him out of the sun is that they keep picturing his face when he got stuck and then they start laughing again
CHEL-i cant tell if i better like the idea that brian was there alone and wrote/told the others about hnoc or if the others were there and thought it was the funniest fucking thing he’d ever done
NOCT-every single one of the mechanisms would have laughed directly in brians face
CHEL-i think thats where the angst or comedy branches off
oh absolutely
jonny comes by once a week to ask someone in town to ‘explain what this metal man thing is. why is it up there? what does it do?’ and brian is hanging there like, if it were not for the laws of this land and also the fact that i am stuck up here and also my morality being on mje i would slaughter you
NOCT-ivy walks past after jonny, commenting about how foolish the hangman must have been to tie such easily escapable knots
although i like to think they all left when they saw which way the wind was blowing, and just,,. forgot brian?? and then when they realized, the series of fuck ups were just too funny and they laughed at brain for a couple decades before picking him up
CHEL-*the mechs, drifting through space, having a grand old time*
tim: hey lets go to -random planet-
*three days later*
tim: why are we not on the planet yet
ashes: idk ask brian
tim: brians not here
mechs:..........
jonny: FUCK we forgot brian
NOCT-screeching
CHEL-the reason it took them so long to get back is no one else can fucking fly the aurora
NOCT-nastya and aurora were on a break
CHEL-yea nastya could ask her to take them there but it takes a Lot of persuasion and its very uncomfortable for everyone else
NOCT-eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
CHEL- -marius
NOCT- -jonny
i mean its definitely both
CHEL-brian gets back on board and no one will look at each other and hes like ‘i hope you all fucking learned your lessons i am the most important fucking crewmember on this ship’
NOCT-no, he assumes everyone was drunk and forgot but had no other problems, and everyone makes a silent agreement to never tell him the truth
CHEL-no i think ive gone from ‘brian was just Too Nice to come down from the gallows and the other mechs thought this was hilarious’ to ‘brian purposefully got himself stuck in a sun for a thousand years so the others would start giving him some goddamn Respect’ and i like this
NOCT-ok i'm on board with the exception that everyone else THINKS my version is what happened but in reality they all got played
CHEL-oh yes absolutely
NOCT-raphealla*** writes lost in the cosmos because she feels bad
CHEL-vksjebksjfna WHAT
NOCT-i cant spell
help please
CHEL-its raphaella i think
but i was thinking about that conversation
NOCT-idk i just thought raphaella would want to apologize without admitting they forgot brian so she goes,
you know what shows we care? a backstory song!
CHEL-brian: yea you all left me in a sun huh?
raph: yes and while you were gone i wrote you a song for us to perform together
brian: cool!
*after listening*
brian: its...,very beautiful......and well written?
raph: do you not like it? its kinda an apology.....
brian: as an apology for you all leaving me alone in space you wrote me a song-
raph: yes!
brian: -about my agonizing death alone in space?
raph: ....ah
NOCT-raph, scribbling in a notebook: reminding people of trauma is not a good way to handle lesser trauma. got it
jonny, reading over her shoulder: i just thought of a great way to bother tim!
CHEL-and thats how gunpowder tim vs the moon kaiser was written
NOCT-canon

Random Peace Talks thoughts:
Love Freydis. Yes good.
Marcone standing up to Ethniu was a particularly fantastic moment. The highlight of the whole book, in fact. For a second I was afraid he was gonna get slaughtered. Marcone wasn’t in this book as much as I’d have liked, but he did very well regardless, and Ethniu showing up promised to be a huge event, and it exceeded my expectations. Loved. It.
I actually feel like Lara shouldn’t have been able to use Mab’s debt to get Harry to help her break Thomas out, because it went against the Accords, and because Mab said that Lara could only ask Harry to do things that she would ask of Mab herself. Mab IS the Accords, and Harry breaking Thomas out was strictly going against Mab, so surely Lara shouldn’t have been able to ask Harry to help her with that? Idk.
Thank GOD he’s not going back to the Svartalf apartment. Dresden needs his own space.
Gosh, he and Maggie are really cute!
Murphy being taken off the bench is both good and bad. Good in that I love me some Murph action, bad in that it drastically decreases her chance of survival. Yikes.
There’s nothing worse than woobie Thomas.
Ivy appears for 3 seconds and Harry still finds time to comment on her hips. I wish I could say I was surprised. Le sigh.
Tumblr media
The Eb fight was a long time coming. I would like more explanation as to why Eb feels such animosity toward the Vampires - I assume it’s to do with Margaret, but considering he didn’t know about Thomas maybe there were other reasons? Idk. Also comparing Harry’s hatred of ghouls to Eb’s hatred of vamps is stupid because neither hatred is completely justified. Harry knows his righteous anger is wrong. Being able to understand how he feels doesn’t justify the pain he inflicts as a result of those feelings, so how can that argument ever be used as a defense? I def think Harry should’ve told Eb about Thomas sooner, but damn when he finally got round to telling him at least he did it in style. That fight was GREAT.
There’s also still something really damn fishy about his first meeting with Ebenezar in this book. When he met Carlos on the beach, Carlos told him Eb had instructed him to go meet Harry and fill him in on the Talks. Why would Eb have done that if he was just gonna go meet Harry at his apartment anyway?
Really loved Lara and Harry’s interactions in this book. They are well matched in intellect and wit, and when they team up as the Thomas Defense Force they are reassuringly formidable. I like it. Too bad she might be about to stab him in the back...
Battle Ground will be Harry discovering how many enemies he makes once the pocket nuke is in his pocket prison.
Alfred... what in the actual?
Wow this book did 0 things to make me like Butters more. How to make him even more of a cringey caricature of a male nerd power fantasy: give him not just one ridiculously hot girlfriend decades younger than him, but two ridiculously hot girlfriends decades younger than him, with a healthy dose of awkwardness/disapproval surrounding the idea of consensual, adult polyamory. Also Butters beating Sanya in a sword fight? Fckin shenanigans. Butters is older than Sanya and way less experienced. I have to believe Sanya let him win bc there’s no way Butters is winning that otherwise. Absolute bollocks.
BUT Fidelacchius’s new power is verrrrry interesting. I wonder if that blade could cut the demon out of a White Court Vampire...
Molly ffs go talk to your parents.

Questions/comments about IW:
Just some things I have been thinking about (in between bouts of mourning Loki).
1. How does Bruce remember what happened on the ship if he was the Hulk at the time? I thought one of the things about the Hulk was that it was like blacking out for Bruce - he often comes back and has to ask what he did, what happened. In TR when he changed back, he thought Sokovia had just happened and had no idea two years had passed. He also didn’t remember Valkyrie. So, how can he suddenly remember enough to warn Tony?
2. If Bruce called Steve from New York, and Tony said Vision had gone offline, how did Steve, Nat, and Sam know to show up in Scotland to save Vision and Wanda? I know Tony said Steve could find Vision, but like ... how?
3. What’s dangerous about Thanos as a “sympathetic” villain isn’t that he believes he’s doing the right thing, it’s that the directors want the audience to concede that Thanos may have a point. But “balance” in the universe is not Thanos’s goal. Thanos’s sadistic sense of benevolence and salvation comes at the price of countless lives, of torturing children, pitting his own children against each other and punishing the loser by replacing body parts, kidnapping, and just generally being an evil son of a bitch. His goal is pain and suffering for his own satisfaction. Which is fine, insofar as he is a villain and these are the types of things villains tend to do. The problem is framing it as “he’s doing this with a goal in mind that the audience should sympathize with.”
4. This differs from Loki’s sympathy as a villain because for one thing, Marvel didn’t set out to make Loki sympathetic, and for another thing, Loki’s motivations come from a place of deep-seated pain and self-loathing, and for a third thing, nobody who sympathizes with Loki is excusing that his actions are okay. The sympathy comes from a combination of Loki’s status as an outsider, as a misguided, tragic figure who is given even more complexity from his actor’s brilliant performance. The sympathy that resonates with fans isn’t so much “yeah he kind of had a point to do those things” as much as it’s “yeah, we can see he’s hurting and we can identify with that but Loki, sweetie, this is not the way to express your feels.”
5. Why does Thor need to lose absolutely everything in order to be properly motivated to kill Thanos? Thor is a warrior, a prince, an Avenger, a hero. Shouldn’t he be motivated to go after Thanos just because, yknow, “that’s what heroes do”? Do the directors think that’s not strong enough motivation?
6. Was anyone genuinely invested in Wanda and Vision? It feels like a love story was shoehorned in to make the audience invested over whether or not Thanos would get the mind stone - because him getting it would mean Vision died, and having to destroy it would mean Vision died. It becomes this race to extract the stone from Vision without killing him so that he and Wanda can be together - but, why do we have to be invested in a romance in order to care whether or not an Avenger dies? Why can’t they want to save Vision just because, yknow, he’s Vision?
7. If the writers can go out of their way to have Thor establish that Thanos slaughtered “half” his people, would it have really killed them to also throw in some dialogue to establish that Valkyrie escaped with the other half? As soon as Thor said that in the movie, my immediate thought was, well, where is the other half? The problem with directors filling in plot holes in interviews is that not everyone reads the interviews. You can’t rely on outside sources to fill in what the movie should have established on its own.
8. Can we just appreciate the fact that even though he had about three minutes of screen time, Loki still stole the show? Whether they agree with it or not, everyone is talking about his death.
I’m sure there’s more, but this is just off the top of my head, so I’ll leave it there. Idk. If I missed something, by all means, let me know, but these are the things that bug me every time I think about the movie. So, yeah.

more penny for ur thoughts on why the rothfuss books r bad (since I've heard that it's like. ~a fantasy classic~)
sure! disclaimer that I've only read the first one, many years ago, and a lot of what I'm writing here is stuff I vaguely remember and stuff from this podcast I've started listening to here. my takeaway was that it was very bland and trite and self-important with a lot of pretentious, meaningless language that isn't actually saying anything. I don't remember it eliciting any emotional response from me at all (except one scene where it's implied the mc was assaulted as a child, which was upsetting, but not explored further or clarified)
rothfuss has described his story as unique in fantasy and 'doing something that had never been done before', but the setting was very generic fantasy, the naming part of the magic system was heavily inspired by le guin's earthsea series, and the only two characters I remember are the Very Cool and Talented Tortured Red-haired protag (who has lots of sex because he's so cool and good at things, who's also a huge asshole) with the tragic backstory, and his super hot girlfriend. who is also a loan shark but I think that's it for her? character development, if it existed at all, was completely forgettable. I distinctly remember my older brother gushing about it to me and going 'haha yeah he's so poor" and I was sitting there like yeah...poor...that's a character trait I could assign him since he doesn't have many other ones besides 'cool' and 'talented'. there are no messages and certainly no themes I found worth remembering
lots of people, including several people I know irl, really love name of the wind and I'm sure it's a pleasant enough read as long as you don't think too hard or expect too much and enjoy a self-indulgent oc. there's not much of an overarching plot. basically this kid was a musical genius in this troupe that was also his family, and then loses his family then lives in the woods for a while then goes to the city and has a bad time and then goes to magic school? he playes the lute a lot. a lot of it seems based on dnd or rpg plots tbh. but it was very underwhelming for me and I would have forgotten about it entirely if I hadn't started listening to a podcast criticizing it (which is my SHIT)
side note, the mc is implied to be from a culture similar to the Rromani. his entire family is slaughtered and he's like, supernaturally good at playing music. it's not brought up again iirc in the first book after the event itself but just know that if you're going to read it because...wow
finally, prothfuss also has a huge problem with misogyny and has a record of acting like he thinks he's superior to fans and other, earlier fantasy writers. in this absolutely wild post of his, which was written after name of the wild, he compares the hobbit movie adaptation to like, a theoretical 'not like other girls' geek girl you would have a crush on in high school becoming a sex worker? it's like. extremely objectifying and degrading and full of the geek guy victim complex and hatred for swers and he hasn't apologized or addressed it at all afaik outside of defending his post to commenters that criticized him. so I'm not interested in reading anything by him except to make fun. and it's weird that he apparently talked about how overhyped toklein was when he was apparently really into the hobbit in hs? idk he's a very weird guy and he represents a lot of what I hate about male fantasy writers. and white tbh, iirc every other character besides the mc is vaguely northern european and the mc's ethnicity/culture is only used in the book for flavor or to sort of exotify him
tl;dr: overhyped, bland, extremely trite fantasy setting with no real plot, written by a shitty dude who thinks he's better than everyone including his own fans and tolkein. there are no coherent or worthwhile themes and very little even slightly interesting with the world, the plot, or the characters
I'd say don't waste your time but some people do enjoy it so if you're still ineterested maybe give it 10 pages? you should be able to get the style of the story in that amount of time. this is not a fantasy classic by any margin and it's lucky that it's still popular this far after its release.
I'm sadly out of the loop for fantasy these days but if you're okay with a young adult audience, I cannot reccomend ursule k le guin's earthsea series highly enough
also the podcast has a very bizarre and out of place homophobic joke very early on in ep1 but for the most part the hosts are left-leaning and respectful. only listened to ep1 tho

My head’s still spinning but I threw together some Infinity War opinions, headcanons and general comments about Thor! As expected this is crammed with IW spoilers so it’s under the cut - click through for a massive block of text ramble.
Some of these are headcanons, some are questions, some are just general thoughts so apologies in advance that this is A MASSIVE DUMP OF RANDOM POINTS I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS OK AND IW IS OVERHWHELMING. I’m not even sure if this is all in order lol I’m just still hyped.
 - I ain’t even getting into what happened to Loki or Heimdall lol unless you want me to write like 6 paragraphs of opinions or you catch me on Discord because boy can I talk about that scene.
- Welcome back, nightmares: Thor never missed ya. He barely sleeps these days – if he did much since Ragnarok - and goes for walks often. He does not like staying still or feeling restrained and prefers to be as active as possible.
- Going by Thor’s dialogue and what we see of Thanos, I’m assuming that half of the ship (including Valkyrie, Korg and Miek) have been forced into escape pods / a different ship and removed for the slaughter on the Statesman. This half is then likely halved again by the gauntlet actually activating?? Unless it’s intuitive enough to know which planets and people have already been halved, that leaves a quarter of the Asgardian people floating somewhere in space. Finding them is going to be a needle in a haystack issue.
- PIRATE ANGEL PIRATE ANGEL FUCK EVERYTHING ELSE THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT, GIVE MY BOY SOME LOVE BECAUSE HE IS TOO GOOD FOR EVERYTHING HE GOES THROUGH.
- He’s known Rocket and Groot for less than a week and he would die for them. Thor’s incredibly fond of them both, and in the wake of the war makes it his business to repay Rocket’s earlier kindness by talking to him about losing his best friend yet again.
- Despite the frisson in their first meeting, Thor would grow fond of Peter Quill given more time to know him. He’s as bizarre as any Midgardian, clearly loyal to his family and passionate – I can’t see why he woudn’t, once circumstances let them both calm down.
- By this stage nobody is ever going to be able to stop making Thor call Rocket Rabbit, no matter how many pictures you show him of each or explain what his name is. TBH considering the time he spent on Earth in the US I would be STUNNED if he doesn’t know what a raccoon is, and just started saying it to mess with Rocket before it stuck and became an affectionate nickname.
- I have a loooot of feelings over their dynamic. Rocket is, well, Rocket; aside from the initial confusion and pulling a few faces I never caught him of all people actually correct Thor. He is so patient with Thor and I love that so much.
 - It was absolutely DELIGHTFUL that Thor pinpointed Rocket as captain so quickly. The fact he was purely going by demeanour and the topic at hand, with no judgement on Rocket’s size or appearance, was not only really important to me personally, but a fantastically subtle reveal of his character growth. How far he's come since 'You dare threaten me with so puny a weapon!?'
- SO STOKED ABOUT THE FACT THOR CAN SPEAK ‘GROOT’ YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Considering how interconnected trees are with Norse mythology (and Thor's symbol being the oak tree) I just..really loved that touch even if it was just thrown in for laughs. It makes me wonder now if there could be some fun links between Asgardians and the Flora Colossus, or even something interweaving them and Yggdrasil.
- It also paints Thor as a massive nerd which was started with his excitement to see Dragonfang in Ragnarock and honestly I love the idea of Thor being this studious little prince. It makes sense that the brothers would both have had an extensive education, and maybe Thor’s artistic talents leaned more toward languages.
- Thor’s thoughts on Loki change hourly. No sooner has he convinced himself of all the ways and means for this to be another trick of his brother's, the weight of Thanos' destruction strips him of all hope. His moods are as difficult to predict as the storms he is known for, inspiring hope as often as he cloaks despair.
- He will never forgive himself for his final words to Loki.
- Boyyyy did his coping mechanisms hit way too close to home. I'm so glad he was finally given some space to process the absolute deluge of awful he's been through since the first movie, but ouch I was not prepared for that scene.
- Can someone confirm his new eye colour please? Idk if it's my awful colour sense and the various lighting but it seemed to veer between blue and brown to me, with the action figure's being green? I’m leaning more towards green and it just being weird lighting.
- Thor switches between the eye and the eyepatch, depending on preference and comfort. Also I love my pirate angel and his whole aesthetic with the patch ok sue me.
- His excitement about Nedavellir and showing the forge to Rocket? Nerd again. Honestly Marvel where’s my nerdy-Thor-with-glasses moment you so cruelly cut when you took Donald Blake out of the equation?????
- Stormbreaker is marvellous but how is Thor flying with it now??? With Mjolnir he could swing it to gain momentum but SB is MUCH larger, so is this some innate power now or did I miss how he took off? I love that he can fly again but using Stormbreaker seems mucho unwieldly lol.
 - Good lord has he gotten strong now look @ my son go I’m so proud of him finally getting the attention he deserves. Bruce being excited to see him just warms my heart, these two have such a sweet dynamic since Ragnarok.
- Oh yeah Thor also wants to as much as adopt Peter Parker at once but so does everyone. Considering Asgardian lifespan he'd be mortified to know that someone so young was involved in the war, and impressed by his bravery.
- Ngl I need Thor to meet and interact with like everyone right now; there are still a huuuge bunch of character dynamics we haven’t seen I’d love to play about with. I’m upset he never got to meet Tony tbh.
- The cut 'destiny has dire plans for you, my friend' line from Strange in Ragnarok has me wondering if he sensed Infinity War and beyond happenings.
- There is a LOT of guilt now festering in the wake of the war. Thor feels as though he missed the single opportunity to stop Thanos’ assault and as his mental health remains on a knife edge, he continues to wrestle with the fact that he is, in spite of everything, still alive.
- One of the first things he did once the initial shock wore off was to find a way to contact Jane, to see if she, Darcy and Erik were safe.

My thoughts on Magi’s finale
Let’s start with: My disappointment was SOOOOOO great at the beginning, middle and a little before the end of this disaster of an arc, that this is just a joke to me tbh.
In my opinion this arc was so bad, that the ending doesn’t feel as bad. Its worst part at most is how underwhelming and incomplete it is. But there’s a positive thing in it being so open: it feels the story continues. Tbh I don’t feel this is the end. I hope we get more content somehow and if not, I don’t mind it.
Its strongest point is that it didn’t feel like the cliche ending all shounen manga have (even tho I’m a fan of shounen manga cliches, their endings tend to suck). This ending only had one cliche which was alimo r’s wedding, which didn’t even had much focus than Mor’s outfit. But ofc cliches can be good and even amazing when an author gets the best of them...... this was not the case of course.
The problem with Magi overall, in my opinion, is that it tried to be too creative, too revolutionary for a shounen manga, some cliches were avoided on purpose, sometimes with great outcomes but most of the time what we got in return was not better than cliches. That’s the problem. When you offer something new you have to make sure it’s better than what has been done before, not just different. And this why I think Magi’s popularity started to go down (well to be fair it happened during Alma Torran, and it continued on Kou arc). Then, probably the editors decided it was time to put some shounen manga cliches, to appeal to the boys at least. Cliches like the excesive use of Alibaba as THE ONE and only who solves all problems and who never gives up with a big smile!!!!!!!!! And using only the young king vessels and magi to fight the final boss (Sin), cause they are the cool ones and more appealing to a male young audience than older adults and women. Also the battle tried to be epic but faced the problem of everyone being too overpowered to fight with physical or magic strength. Thus it became a battle of words... which was weird, because these four boys didn’t know or understood Sinbad as much as his family did and they also weren’t the ones who would normally wish Sinbad to change his mind the most. But the boys were cool and could appeal the typical shounen manga audience, also they were powerful, so Sinbad’s people were thrown aside....and it felt weird. Suddenly the creative and different ways of Magi started to adopt very bad shounen manga cliches and tropes, like what happened with Nerva. At least I felt it didn’t belong to what has been done before. Especially since to Aladdin, Alibaba became the ultimate king (I thought Aladdin would also realize there’s no ultimate king at some point) and also every character, Sinbad included, fell for his words, even tho Mogamett stated that nothing can’t be left to a single being. Ofc we heard everyone’s opinions about what to do in the end, thus it was not Alibaba alone. But it still felt that Alibaba was THE ONE and only one who fixed it all, instead of it leaving us the feeling it was everyone’s power united. A few panels of characters we never get to see on a normal basis are not enough to give the feeling everyone helped. Their apprearances felt meaningless and piled up there, so that no one dared to say it was Alibaba alone. But we all know the one who made most was Alibaba and not everyone as a team, thus the premise of last arc which was Mogamett’s warning fell apart for completely. Which sucks, because Magi was about no one being always right or always wrong, but now there’s Alibaba.  People love to criticize other people for focusing on their ships only. But see, I loved Magi, all Magi, Magi overall. But Alibaba felt annoying at the end. All over the place, everyone adoring him, all focus on him. All interactions happened with him, he even has a panel with Titus lol. Aladdin lost the title of main character. He got some really cool moments, but not as much as a main character does and definitely not as cool as he did in previous arcs. Ever since Alibaba died, Morgiana’s potential was focused on loving Alibaba only. She also had great moments like her battle with Arba, but then she just stood next to Alibaba in silent, like a bodyguard, while her other interactions included: having quarrels with Alibaba and serving him food, and the worst: becoming damsell in distress (it’s my opinion). My babies, my main trio got destroyed for me. What’s next on the list: Sindria. Everyone scattered, I had the joy of them being happy in separated places but since Sin and Ja’far didn’t seem to be fine I was worried. Then Sinbad said awful things about his family, even tho the chapter before he claimed it was all for protecting them...yikes. And everything started to fall apart. This arc was focusing on Sinbad destroying the relationships he has been protecting all his life and that made him who he was. Those were my absolute favorite relationships, btw. Moreover he was throwing away people who have always loved him and been loyal to him. All of those beautiful relationships, gone...... I could go on: the pace: went crazy, climaxes all over the place, underwhelming endings subplots: murdered, slaughtered and new ones being born to be interrupted right away. character development: Alibaba and Hakuryuu the only champs. Everyone else’s character development happened off screen or didn’t happen or was left interrupted. Many questions unanswered, unrealistic ideal ending when Magi used to be resemble our world, at least politically speaking. Etc, etc.
And after all this becoming bad, what else did I have? My ship ofc, that’s the only thing I had left, because everything else I loved was ruined. So, sorry for focusing on my ship but everything else sucked to me, which makes me sad, but it’s the truth.
Thankfully my ship isn’t as destroyed as it could have been (well it had been destroyed since the beginning of this arc, but it could have been worse) thus I’m not as mad and angry. I’d rather have Ohtaka hint Sin is coming back and Ja’far saying with exact works that he’s sure he’s coming back someday, hence he will wait, ....than nothing. And I’ll grab that small moment and move on and continue to have fun with my ship and my friends and continue to be happy.
This arc for me sucked, but that doesn’t mean I’m still over Magi. I still love Magi so much.
To sum up, the ending was not the worst of this to me, that’s maybe why I think I don’t mind this small last disappointment compared to my great suffering when this started, .......which btw was almost 2 years ago.
At this point I only hope Ohtaka is satisfied with it. And if she is, I’m happy for her cause she worked very hard, so damn hard. But my gut tells me editors  limited her several times, especially during this arc .......thus Idk how to feel. I hope I’m wrong. But still the writing’s quality is so low I’d also rather think it was them and not her. Anyway, we will probably never know.
I’m sorry for this incredibly long rant, but I had to get it of my chest. Also expect a positive comment later.  Thanks for reading me and I’m happy to say: we all survived this mess! Let’s go party, we all deserve it. Hope Ohtaka is finally chilling too!!

The Originals 4x12
My God!! What an episode!! I’ve been missing for few weeks so I haven’t had the chance to comment the previous two episodes of The Originals, but now here I am. I’ve just finished watching 4x12 and, guys... really, this season has the potential of a final season well, I remember that the finale was thought like it was a series finale because the renewal was still uncertain, but the good news is that we now for sure that in the next season we’ll have a teenager Hope.
I want to say just a few things regarding this story: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SUMMER FONTANA. She is a perfect, brilliant little child with an amazing talent. The way she portrays both Hope and the Hollow is extraordinary. I know that she won’t be in the next season and this makes me really sad because not only she has proven to be the core of the cast and a wonderful little actress, but also this will mean that, unless JP does the Academy spin-off with Hope, Lizzie and Josie as children, the only way we could see her will be by flashbacks. Anyway, there is still an episode left, but I really hope and wish our littlest wolf Summer a brilliant career after this experience! <3
Tumblr media
Well, coming back IT, in this episode we have seen how the power of Inadu is beyond every expectation. I have already said that I don’t like her at all. She is PURE EVIL, no more no less. The way she didn’t even blink when Vincent announced her that her own mother had given him the spell to trap her eternally made my spine chill. This is the very first time in both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals that we see a character who is utterly evil. Because more or less all the villains in the show had a background story which explained their actions. Inadu is basically Kai Parker with the Devil’s power. And Kai was a self-admitted psycho who didn’t hesitate to slaughter his whole family, pregnant twin sister, siblings, almost killing her nieces, only because his mind was f?cked up. At least Kai was hilarious... Inadu is not funny. When I read the early scripts about her character, she, as Samir, told Vincent that she was a god. I was curious because after having had the Hell and the Devil in TVD, it seemed to me that in TO we would have had another kind of supernatural beings. Now, I am perfectly fine with the mythology of wolves, because we have finally known how the curse was created, but Inadu is a boring child with an insatiable hunger. She has not a definite goal like the other villains, she wanted to be reborn in the real world and being worshiped. Now, using the body and powers of Hope, who is the strongest witch ever seen, what? I don’t know the sense of her actions. Also, not that she has been saying something more about her motivations... Idk, like “Fine, I want to make my bloodline to pay for the sins of who killed me”, like Cade in TVD... no, she isn’t interested in this, she is madly fine with destroying everything, everyone, being worshiped and satisfying her endless hunger for power. Well, but dearie... what are your motivations?? She is only pure evil and she enjoys it. Well, this makes her a boring character, to me. I don’t know, I was expecting more... that’s why I am not satisfied with her character... and the only thing I want is her to be annihilated once for good, no matter what.
Tumblr media
Also... connected to this: I honestly thought that the Hollow’s existence was somehow related to Vincent’s unborn child, but this was a red herring. Perhaps originally her intention was to use the child to be reborn, but she failed because of Vincent... mh... anyway, Vincent’s character is amazing! I am not a huge fan of him, to be honest, but he is one hell of a witch, guys. The way he pronounces his spells, his posture and gestures... wow! My only regret is that he has never wanted to collaborate with Freya. But one thing I admire about him is his integrity. He is strong-willed and determined to do whatever has to be done in order to protect his city, scheming plans even risking his own life.
Tumblr media
Speaking of which, I have absolutely adored seeing the Mikaelsons, Marcel and Sofya working together under Vincent’s orders. They have finally understood that the only way to face this danger is working together.  I am very happy for Sofya and Marcel (yes, the fact that Marcel and Rebekah are fantastic together doesn’t help but Marcel has become wiser and realistic and his words are foreseeing that Rebekah will always choose her family first). I’ve never been a great fan of Sofya, but I think that she and Marcel deserve happiness and they’re truly in love (I’ve never seen Marcel so determined *only for Davina* and Sofya’s tears when she awoke were really sincere ç_ç). Let’s pray this to be not a death flag... ç_ç JP, this is for you:
Tumblr media
BTW, let’s talk about a story... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TO HAYLIJAH?????? Ok, I’ve read many Klayley comments happy with what happened to them, but guys... mh... I dare say to wait for another episode before talking. MN once said that Elijah and Hayley are crossed lovers (I’ve always said that they are the Yume of TO) and they would have been through many difficulties in this season but he never said that they aren’t one for each other. I’ve always liked thaet fact that both Klaus and Hayley share a very good relationship and go along well, but they are more very good friends. I can’t see tension between them, but more a mutual, silent understanding. Is this love? Perhaps it is a form of love, but we have seen Klaus in love and it was with Camille. Now, I’ve been Klaroline since season 2 of TVD, but Klamille was love. On Hayley’s side, she admitted that Jackson would have been better, nor Klaus. In her mind, she saw Jackson, not Klaus. But apart from this, Hayley said that she is not scared of Elijah, because she knew his nature, his impulses, she knew his dark nature and she loved him because/despite this. This is a very important fact to consider, because Hayley has never refused this side of Elijah. She knew what he was, she had always known. But seeing and feeling herself his true nature is another fact. She is not scared for herself, she is scared because she doesn’t want her daughter to feel that being in love with a monster capable of doing inenarrable atrocities is normal. To be honest, this sounds quite odd, especially when everybody in the Mikaelson family is that kind of person, and the fact that Klaus talked to Hope with his heart on his hand about his past is indicative of how Hayley hasn’t realized how strong her daughter is and how Elijah loves both.  Speaking of this... ç____ç My heart hurt so much when I saw Elijah’s attempts to talk to Hayley... and I really appreciated that both Klaus and Rebekah tried to persuade Hayley of his goodness. Because Elijah is good. And no matter what, if the situation requires him to step back, he is ready to do it, in order to let Hayley and Hope be happy. His discourse to Klaus about taking Hope and Hayley and going away from NoLa... ç___ç I wonder how and what will happen.... I have the feeling that the spell will require more than the end of Always and Forever... perhaps it will erase the memory of everybody? This is the only way I can imagine Hayley and Klaus let their daughter go to Mystic Falls and the four of them (hello Kol, I am happy with your happy ending but.. -_________-”) to forget who they are (in terms of being relatives)? OMG.
Anyway... final part: “Before you were born, I was a very different creature. I was cruel and I would revel in the terror which I inspired in others. But Hope, from the moment I saw you, I wanted nothing more than to be worthy of being your father. But I’m afraid, Hope, I am afraid without you I’ll return to the darkness. So I need you. I need you to fight”. This is Klaus Mikaelson and Hope is his heart and soul. I can’t say how much I was happy to hear these words... I bet that Camille would be proud of him. And I am quite sure that these words will help Hope (who seems totally lost in Inadu now) to re-awake and re-taking control of her body, mind and soul. Because she is connected to her parents and to the undying and infinite love that they have for her. ç_ç<3
Let’s wait for the final episode!! >__<

asks part 2
anon: I wonder if the fans of other DA characters get this much shit about their "problematic faves". I wonder if the fenris fans are called "ableism apologists" (because fenris is ableist), or aveline fans called "slut shaming apologists" (because aveline is a slut shamer).. or you know, in general being called MURDER apologists since every single one of these characters is a killer one way or another. and pls ppl, dont tell me anders doesn't have regrets or didn't do what he had to do out of fear.
especially since I didn’t even post any discussion prior to the first message I got? it was just a “fun” post about bioware/Anders and I tagged it with “Anders was right” which is indeed a tag I use. like if I started any kind of argument and discussion I can understand why people would comment on that but because of a pretty normal post? idk. and yes, we should all incorporate a club and we will be called the murder apologists because clearly everyone who is playing games where ppl get killed and not despise every single character for it (including their own character) is a murder apologist.
anon: I'm sorry you're getting so much anon hate.  I hope things start getting better and people learn to separate games from current events a bit more. That being said it's nice to find another Anders fan! :3
well I’m not very optimistic that it’s going to happen because I always knew there where a lot of jerks in the DA fandom and I kinda managed to keep them off my dash for most part. since I’m mostly a DA fandom blog I kinda expect getting some crap from time to time but since my blog title and my present icon should give a pretty clear picture about my views it’s not a lot. and yes, I still think people who are unable to differentiate between fiction and reality shouldn’t play these games. or at least keep clear of discussions. yes you can identify with stuff in games, be it a conflict, a character but whatever. but don’t give other people a hard time for doing that as well because they are real and not game characters. well look at me ranting haha I’m also always happy to meet other fans of my fav mage and I hope you have a great day :)
audacityinblack: Some people seem to forget that Anders did not have *any* basic rights, let alone the right to speak freely or protest. A Divine in the past almost called an exalted march on her own damn Chantry because the mages went on strike. Mages have absolutely no right to protest. And, mage or not, they absolutely can and will hunt you down and kill you if you dissent against them too loudly. Heresy is a punishable offense in Thedas. Torture and execution are normalized parts of the justice system.
This is a system where peaceful protest never works. Only those with privilege and power are allowed to resolve their conflicts without bloodshed or surrendering their basic civil rights. The Daughters of Song were pacifists, they refused to fight. The Chantry fucking slaughtered them all. It's also hard to feel much for the poor innocent humans when the Chantry has been massacring elves and mages for centuries.
The Chantry ain't your kind peaceful neighborhood church. It's effectively a totalitarian theocratic power. I'm of the mind that people who can't see that have never experienced or educated themselves about religious oppression. Really, millennials have their own privilege in that we have a fuck ton more freedom to protest without putting ourselves in danger. Those rights would never have existed if there weren't people willing to fight and die and risk fucking everything.
Yes, Dragon Age is fiction. "You can't separate reality from fiction" is a common argument thrown at and by both sides. However, for a lot of us, this stuff is very much a part of our reality. We've *seen* reality, and often from a lot of angles the writers did not see. The writers' biases are on full display especially in the way that the "other" groups in the game tend to be written as misguided or wrong, while the establishment knows best and anyone who shows otherwise is an "exception."
For a lot of us, the shit we see in game is terribly reminiscent of things that we have seen in real life, or even lived through. "Mages are dangerous" isn't much of an excuse, because there are ways to discover magic long before it becomes a problem. The Chantry is also the only authorized source of information on magic in a world where most people are not literate unless they've learned to read from guess who? Once again, the Chantry.
@audacityinblack: I can agree 100% with that. I’m not very good at making my point in arguments, especially if it’s not my native language. but you can do it perfectly. I mean the chantry is obviously based on the catholic church and nobody can argue that they did some pretty bad things and they happend in real life. that doesn’t mean the chantry is real or has the same impact as actual events but you can still make a connection. (and we also shouldn’t forget that the woman writing Anders in DA 2 didn’t like him at all so sometimes the points he’s trying to make might not come across as well as they should and they do try to make him an actual villain) I’m guessing some people are just too lazy to try to see different sides in games and they do the same thing in real life. let’s not forget, that Cullen is well loved by most people and he did pretty horrible things as well. he ordered me to kill every mage even if there was a chance they hadn’t done anything. and don’t try to argue “well but had to suffer you have to understand” yeah fuck you, Anders had to suffer most of his life and he didn’t choose it. none of the mages gets a choice. templars fucking do. I still like Cullen and try to understand his side of view and can see that he has changed since then but if you make me choose I will always be on Anders’ and the mages side. also I don’t even want to think about how horrible the punishment of turning mages into tranquil is. it is fucking murder or actually worse and they try to sell it as “kindness” and because the chantry is such a large institution no one really questions the stuff they do.
