A quick list of animes I watched and don't want to forget 3:

Satsuriku no Tenshi - perfect for halloween, it was a short story with an easy to forget plot and characters I could root for. Tbh it hooked me with the never ending suspense and Zack. And I'll never forget the heartbreak at the end. So toxic and broken and tragic. The horror elements were fun, sometimes scary even so 7/10! Demon slayer - Its a bingeable shounen. The story is mid, the animation is cool, the MC is kind and likeable + i love how they show us the difference between "city japan" and "rural japan" (especially technology and behaviour-wise), but the constant screaming and second hand embarrassement is just too much. And besides getting stronger and using better techniques there are no character arcs (as of in S2). The boar + thunder kid just ruined the whole series for me t_t And the mountain peasant/animalistic superpower schtick is boring as hell after an episode or two. 6.5/10

Samurai Champloo - y2k graffiti/breakdance meets samurais. Boi, what an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G anime! The AV, OST, art style, all the fight scenes and character design... all of it is 10/10. Of course the found family trope can never be trumped, however the story itself was adventurous, not repetitive (except for them never having money lol), captivating, witty and emotional when it needed to be. Also the episodes tie into each other a lot, which makes the storytelling natural (+ its not just episodes put in order). The MC's are all 3D with weaknesses, believable behaviors and distinct manners + they have easy to remember names and styles. Watching the messy trio's friendship come to live is something I want to witness again for sure.

Konosuba! - A surprisingly bad and adorable parody of the isekai genre that I could only watch all the way through after the 3rd attempt. Most characters are completely helpless/stupid/naive but in an oddly charming way. The MC is ofc a pervert neet that is insufferable, but his oversexualized companions are cute, their friendship is cute, and their boobs are huge. Watch it while having dinner 6/10

Ouran highschool host club - light hearted and stupid and has some second hand embarrassement, but its a must watch! I wish the artstyle was different tho :/ 8.5/10

The Apothecary Diaries - Sherlock Holmes meets chinese historical romance fanfic. Beautiful, captivating and rewatchable. Very dreamy (but i have a feeling that theres going to be a lot of drama and sadness in the future? idk i havent started the light novel yet) 9/10

Midnight Occult Civil Servants - its so much more worth it than ppl think! Yes, the power of friendship is strong in this one, buuuut 1) its not overdone 2) the story is not sugarcoated and there are some interesting philosophical topics that we touch throughout the episodes 3) even though the MC is a naive and ridiculously hard working boy, he learns a lot from his mistakes and kinda grows up. His friends are lovely too! I just wish that their design was a bit more detailed, the animation got a bit more budget and that we could have gotten a bit more chapters... 8/10!

Mignon - a korean BL manwha adaptation. Each episode is around 5 mins so the story isnt too complicated. It has vampires (why dont we get more of them nowadays??) and sexy man-love. 6.5/10

Golden Boy - It is a golden comedy (and educational) anime and it's so humorous that I actually laughed watching it. At first it seems annoying/ridiculous but from the end of the first episode I understood the premise and the point of the anime. The boy doesnt learn much, but the women around him do. 7.5/10

Kamisama Kiss - I loved it at the beginning and then felt really let down by it, cuz 1) I learned about the end of the story and got pissed off (because ***SPOILER ALERT who the fuck thought that giving up your occult superpowers and long life is romantic? WHO?***) and 2) it got so rushed at the end. The art style is not my favorite ad some of the frames looked cheap, but I loved the comical use of expressions and some of the designs were really cool. 6/10 (and -100/10 because of the ending of the manga. Seriously. Fuck that.)

Major Spoilers!

Arcana being "dead" (deffo that she is not entirely dead) was intended.

Up to 2.2 prior to its release we now have three groups that follow or are Manus:

Manus Vindicate: this is the main group led by Arcana and now Forget Me Not, he was in Vienna aiding in the acceleration of the 1914 Storm and attempting to recuit Isolde but fails. Now he works with Ms Grace and there goals are unclear

Order of Enlightenment: led by Sophia after the events of 1.9, with cult activities evident in Chicago in the 2.0 story and in Texas for the 2.1 one. I consider the Order kind of separate to the main Manus part since it seems their goal of "immortality" slightly deviates from the Manus' desire to return to the past, nevertheless are still part of Manus.

Apostles Brotherhood: this is the group based on Sao Paulo that likely will join the Order of Enlightenment in the 2.2 story, Moldir is likely the guy who puts on a mask in the PV might be the leader but so far no confirmation who Moldir is.

(Igor either is referring to Manus or just uses Manus as the umbrella term of all these groups)

The impact of Arcana's death and how I think the first organisation to be crippled or even destroyed by the Manus might be Zeno itself:

Arcana's death has been turned into a martyrdom by groups especially the Order of Enlightenment. She is likely the person refered to as the "Sufferer", by dying at the hands of Zeno and more namely Vertin. With her death, Manus and now the newly created Order of Enlightenment in her name now can act more covertly. (In 2.0 story had Matilda not gotten involved that Ceremony would have happen and led to disastrous consequences). It seems the plan out is to undermine the trust in the Foundation and specially Zeno, paint Vertin as the murderer of Arcana who "had promised to save them" (promise of returning to the past as a method of salvation) leading to groups like the Apostles Brotherhood to side with the Manus.

What about Zeno? 1.0 story did not give us much on Zeno, notably its only playable character being Lilya (Windsong by the time shes playable can be counted as a member of Laplace or field investigator, though this is unclear) and only Rayashki and the recent anecdote as information.

This is purely speculation but I believe Zeno despite having arcanists is purely reliant on arcanum arms to function, see Rayashki and the anecdote focus on the accumulation of arms and materials to replenish lost weaponry. It is likely due to the First Storm Zeno probably suffered)even more, explaining the only focus on Zeno so far has been on resource gathering at all costs.

Why do I think Zeno is in danger in 2.0 story? Stephen and the evacuation of a Zeno branch in Texas (again lack of translation I could be wrong) and the mutiny of the Zeno branch in Brazil. What if Zeno is in such a vulnerable position that the Manus has started to chip away at their loyalty like in characters like Stephen?

Tbh its hard to predict is going on with Zeno with characters like Lilya and Berolt, while Lilya I don't think is one-note and hey we might be getting more from her: it is very very clear she benefits from the strict and cruel system in Zeno, Berolt is the same in this regard.

Compared to Laplace (like 5 or more playable characters are from Laplace and even more NPCs like Engima) Zeno has little to build with so far which comes off as one-note. Hopefully with this patch and storyline we can get a better look at Zeno with characters like Igor and Lopera

(apparently they are related? Idk again Zeno with not much to work with yet, even storywise idk where we are going, all that is notable so far is the evacuation of some branches, they experiment on critters in Greenlake at one point, the "we work for the better good, lives are expendable" stuff, they seems the most separated from the lore in general, where are we going with them?)

i just LOVE writing these guys. you dont understand they live in my head so much that putting them down into words is a relief. like i just think that a dynamic like theirs is so fun to write... its about the deep love its about the loyalty its about the care its about the you-might-mess-up-sometimes-but-i-will-love-you-anyways DO YOU UNDERSTANDDDDDD

ABSOLUTELY you get a little bit of both of them. as a treat.

Sarah:

-i think sarah can hold a MEAN grudge. if u wrong her/she thinks u wronged her she will never let that shit go. its why she sends thatcher those emails and why she never really got along with adam after the whole hand hallway thing.

-i think shes p fem gender wise/presents very feminine but also has middle aged dad hobbies. she loves fishing and can tell u everything abt what bait/flies she uses in which areas for hours.

-i think similarly to mark she has a lot of issues with emotional regulation but she takes the 'bottling shit up then exploding' route. she can keep her cool for a few months before she has some sort of breakdown/lashes out. she feels really guilty about it if she takes out her anger on someone who doesn't deserve it and is trying to work on recognizing when she's about to blow and taking space.

-i also think where mark was very timid and avoided confrontation sarah is the opposite. she WILL stand up for herself, even when it would be better to bite her tongue. this definitely contributed to how the BPS ended up being wanted LMAO she has a lot in common with mark (when he was. alive at least) but she also has a lot of differences

-she is ALSO very stubborn. she does try her best to see other people's perspectives on things but if she feels like they are doing something 'wrong' she is going to have a hard time changing her perspective

-honestly i think a lot of female characters get the girlboss treatment and yes!! i think she is very competent but i also want to explore her flaws and mistakes!! i want her to have messy emotions and relationships with the world around her and i want to talk about her flaws!!!

after 5 long months ive logged onto this account. ive cleaned it up of any cluttering posts. i feel a lot of regret for how ive handled certain things and for how harshly ive always treated myself. i had tried to be optimistic on this blog, you can see it, but deep down i was miserable. this isnt a sob story post, it is more of an update and analyzing myself too. because to analyze me back then and me now is to see growth as a person.

tbh i was struggling with a lot of things months ago and even relapsed in things i wouldn’t have imagined i would have. this isnt for validation at all, i like writing things publicly like this, like a note for myself? idk. 

i know i would make comments about my mental state back then “how it got better” but that was never the case. it was temporary. 

to be quite honest, i will get into the real real gist of it. i had moved out of my parents place like in october of 2022. living with my family has always been stressful, i wont go into that though. my roommate was an incredibly selfish and two-faced person. there were red flags but i either hadnt noticed or ignored them. she was a complete pos, imo, and even reveled in being one. she was even gross and her sister who also lived with us was also gross. i feel bad for her cat bc she wouldnt clean the litter box that much until she wasnt so “depressed”. i am honestly not sure, i put quotation marks bc honestly i feel that she was just lazy as fuck. she was one of those girls who followed trends and went out clubbing a lot and had lots of hook ups. i dont know man, maybe i seem like an asshole but ive struggled with depression since i was a kid and still find energy to clean my cats litter box. granted, i have better coping mechanisms and thought processes and am just in general in a better place mentally but idk i love my cats to death and feel like a dickwad when i even go a couple of hours over with cleaning their litter box. she also didnt try to help with her cat becoming obese basically and stuff, so yea. sorry for the long tangent, my roommate was a dickwad.

after moving out of that hell hole (i wasnt apart of the lease so it was p easy), i think i moved out beginning of february? well, situations happen and i move out of parents place with my bf at the end of february. place ends up being fucking infested with bed bugs and the landlord lady was a bitch and so yea. i moved in and out like 4 times in the span of november 2022-march 2023 i think? tbh, that was all pretty stressful. but i think the good thing out of it was my cats are indoor cats now and i love taking care of them.

while cleaning my posts of clutter, i had a wave of nostalgia both good and bad. it wasnt that long ago but it feels like it. i loved rping hu tao and i think a lot of the reason as to why i could never rp with a lot of ppl was because i was harsh to myself and held myself back. i felt like i didnt properly convey hu tao’s portrayal and compared myself to other hu taos. it is easy to compare because it isnt your writing or portrayal. i could look at myself, be a harsh critique about my looks, but at the end of the day there could always be someone out there that sees things differently. in a more positive and less judgemental light, ig. i also had and still struggle with social anxiety. it has gotten better and perhaps it has helped that ive learned to be more understanding of myself like i am with others.

i love hu tao as a character and always will. and id love to come back to her! but tbh i have fallen out of the game and havent been playing it. i havent played the event including hu tao. i am not sure yet if i am going to make such a commitment to rping again but looking back at the posts made me feel a bit happy. i kinda like how i wrote her, i liked interacting and being goofy.

i have attempted twice to get through mistborn eta 2, and for some reason i keep stalling out, idk why. i’ve read mistborn era 1 and am probably going to a bookstore tomorrow to pick up wind and truth, i really really love the stormlight archive. the world is so vibrant and alive.

I get that tbh, some of mistborn era 2 definitely drags and I found at first that I was missing the heist style of the first era, but once I settled into the western noir sort of style and started to like the characters more it got easier. I think steris is genuinely great autistic representation and they all go through a lot of interesting character growth! I honestly wish I'd gotten a little more time with some of the worldbuilding that only kicked off like, more than halfway through the series lol

but stormlight is definitely the star of the show and now that wind and truth is out I'm even more motivated to catch up so I can read it!! I'm so curious abt what stormlight era 2 could have in store someday considering how long and in depth these books have felt although obviously I'll have At Least 5 years or so before then so maybe I should just take my time and savor it. it really is such a cool world!! and I've read all the side novels now except yumi and the sunlit man, definitely recommend any standalones u havent gotten to yet bc they incorporate the cosmere in really interesting ways!!!

I could say glass houses for horror too BUT i argue: the two schools of thought on horror (ruthless cannibal vs big ol gardener softie) i have always interpreted as pre and post/during recovery from horrortale. Though he’s also been somewhat infantilized and honestly not a fan of how he got turned into a complete uwu soft boi by some people. because i think post recovery horror is definitely compassionate but its not THAT soft you guys he literally is in a killer cult for a nightmare god

idk enough about fanon geno and reaper to really say. Actually idk anything about canon reaper either so i really really cant say lmao. And with error theres so many differing interpretations of him that its a huge mess (/nm) that like i dont even know whats canon and not canon anymore.

I will say CROSS shoulda gotten a lot more votes imo. I haven’t actually read xtale yet but i watched season one underverse and guys i was fucken shocked. like i have no idea xchara even existed or was even part of cross or whatever. I also always thought he was written too soft yknow? that man is a trained soldier so make him act like it.

Also killer. uh im sorry brother i don’t actually know anything about something new i swore i would read it or consume it or whatever form its in but i havent gotten around to it so im sorry about that. i do kinda vaguely know he has like other stages though and they seem to be CRITICALLY underutilized.
