early doctor who’s “throw it at the wall and see what sticks” approach to its canon is so fun to look back on having the hindsight on what it would eventually evolve into. just imagine the in-universe excuse you probably came up with on the spot as to why the main characters actor had to be replaced kept your shitty little time traveling show with a budget of a paper clip and a stick of gum going for six more decades
