Oh yeah so I had this idea earlier when I was thinking about Beast Wars, only reason I didn’t post it earlier was because I got dragged out to dinner

Anyways, so basically I had this thought of a Transformers series where basically the Autobots and Decepticons crash land on Earth, and due to them having no clue where they are and no current way of getting back home, they decide to work together, at least for the time being

So like, the main group of protagonists would consist of both Autobots and Decepticons

But also it wouldn’t be the entirety of both groups working together, as members on both sides refuse to work with the other for one reason or another and instead decide to do their own thing, being their own separate parties that probably cause trouble from time to time. But every member here has their own reasons why they are or aren’t fine with teaming up, and why they’re on one side or the other

I kind of don’t want Optimus and Megatron there, probably because I was thinking of Beast Wars which doesn’t have them, and also because I want to see this alliance come from characters other than them. But at the same time I feel like they kind of have to be there. My current solution is that the two were on a different part of the ship that came off during the crash landing, and in current day (assuming they all were unconscious for a bit like g1 or Animated) the two are missing, which might be a reason for the two groups to team up. Their goals are to: find fuel, find everyone that might have gone missing, find a way to contact/get back to Cybertron, and find their leaders

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with Optimus and Megatron here yet, just that they’d probably be absent until like, maybe the end of the season or something

But one concept that did come to mind is that whoever found them basically decided to stitch the two of them together using each’s body parts into one powerful robot (probably not knowing what they really are), and so the two are pretty much fused together into one, with them having to deal with this, assuming they still have a mind anymore. And also with this concept, this Frankenstein of them is specifically not one or the other with the other’s body parts, it’s both of them in there, through whatever magic means. Or neither if we just want the body horror and the new team having to put them down. Or I suppose you could have instead their minds/sparks being fused into an entirely new being. Didn’t really think about that concept until right now. But yeah, might not be the concept I stick with, but it is the one in my head right now

Edit: all I know is that I don’t think I want it to just be “they decide to work together”, because while I’m down for a solo Optimus and Megatron team-up side plot, the rest of the group is already doing the team-up, so it’d be treading the same ground. I want to do something different with them, and fusing them together into one being certainly is that. Throws a wrench into the whole war thing too

And yeah, I just wanted to share this concept because I thought it was neat. I would try to develop it more, but I have literally no clue who would be on either side, because the only characters I think about are Optimus and Megatron, and I also don’t really want Starscream and probably Bumblebee here either

I think some folks MAY have gotten the wrong idea about how I feel about Circe with some of my posts. So, to clear the air...

I love how we're never given a reason why she turns people into animals. That's so funny and so awful. And another potion-making magic gal?!?! I love that she's just basically vibing on an island doing whatever she wants. I even love the fact that she scares Odysseus shitless! She's morally gray and that's why she's FUN.

I just sincerely hate when people try to girlboss her or have her be a victim of SA when she never was Looking at you, Miller. Especially when she was actually the one who coerced Odysseus in exchange for his men being transformed back into humans. And even then, while he was clearly afraid of her, (it's in the language of the Odyssey) she likely meant him no harm after a certain point. He just didn't know that.

Why does she need a reason to do awful things? Why can't she just be a goddess who does whatever she wants? That's the reason why I love her!!! She's fucked up!!! :D

Traveling through time often could skew one's view of it quite significantly. Yesterday could be five years ago, an hour could've been last week, or a month could've actually been a few minutes. This had been a necessity for a certain swordsman, as there had been numerous reasons to travel through time more than once: Doomed futures, planet ending threats, or simply just wanting to check on timelines he had already been to. And of course, there were times where he unexpectedly landed in entirely different worlds other than is own due to unforeseen circumstances.

These visits varied from casual conversations to fighting to ensure no one gets killed by a maniacal monster. For the most part, they allowed him to build connections to people he never would've met otherwise, for his home lacked many things the worlds of others contained. Devastated by destruction for decades, the process of it healing was slower than many felt it should've taken. The large wastelands were only beginning to be sprinkled by greenery, the sounds of construction machinery were foreign to the ears of those who returned to the cities. It was hard for anyone attempting to rest with both eyes closed. Sometimes people looked towards the sky and held their breath as they waited for those two ominous figures to descend and rain hellfire upon the populace once more.

But they never came. They were truly gone. Taken down by someone who refused to give out his name. But they knew who he was. There was speculation on why he neglected the fame and the glory that came with saving the world, though they would spot him frequently, flying around like a mythical being. He'd be carrying food, or water to others, approaching strangers and asking them what they needed without prompting, and even helping rebuild houses alongside mother. There were some that feared him, believing his good intentions to be a facade to get others to lower their guards before he struck. And those who thought he merely was a false champion and the androids merely flew off somewhere to toy with another planet's population.

While those that speculated on what happened or denied his victory had earned some irritation from Trunks, he refused to let them eat away at him. He knew he avenged everyone, it didn't matter what others thought. All he thought about was how he was going to help his home heal.

But first, it was time to visit his own home. Having been away from it for quite some time, it would be nice to visit Scratch for a bit, maybe tinker on some machinery that he had found in his latest search for supplies, or just simply eat his fill and rest on his mediocre bed.

When he opened the door, he would call out to Scratch, who would give a small meow in response, earning the man's genuine chuckle. As he took a few steps inside, he'd be surprised to find Bulma, fast asleep in a chair, her head and arms resting against a table as she quietly snored the day away.

She was always the workaholic, there had been times where it would be weeks before they'd see each other, even before the time machine was first completed. But it was rare for her to come into the house to sleep, she'd often fallen asleep due to exhaustion in her workshop instead. Rather than question what changed, he would quietly make his way to the bedroom, and grab the sole blanket on top of it before returning to her and draping it over her body.

The gentle pressure causes the gadgeteer genius to stir, opening her weary eyes to spot her only son and putting a smile on her face as she attempted to get up. However, her son would urge her back to rest, which the rest of her body would agree with, even if Bulma would mutter some words in defiance. And following that, she mumbled some other words Trunks couldn't quite make out before she returned to sleep.

A kiss is placed atop her head before he now returns to his own needs, mainly food. He'd move to check the fridge in his kitchen, only for his eyes to widen in surprise as something immediately caught his eyes: a cake.

A small, white, misshapen cake, and with a single candle crudely stuffed onto the top, it was no mistake that this was his mother's attempt to bake. But it couldn't have been his birthday already, could it? He was only gone for a few days, his birthday wasn't for another month.

He'd scan for the calendar in his home, figuring his mother would've changed the dates while she stayed in his home. There were marks on the paper were made, one circle for the big day, and then sporadic slashes following it. It wasn't his birthday, it was a few weeks after. To think, she'd wait around hoping to be the first to wish her baby boy a happy birthday. She was typically the one to remind him anyway, even when they weren't living in times of peace.

He merely smiles as his gaze returns to his mother, and then to the fridge.

A few minutes later, he takes a knife to the cake, putting a slice for his mother, who now barely hung onto consciousness, and another to him, who would've barely remembered the occasion. And a bowl of cat food for Scratch, who was with them no matter what. It was just the three of them, but he couldn't ask for better company.

Bulma mumbled again, this time, her voice is a little louder than before, and he can make out the words.

"Happy Birthday Trunks."

(read more for a short pseudo-fic?? that i wrote kinda by accident?? it's kinda shit and doesn't have anything about stanley and it's mostly just describing a half baked idea but have it if you want. also this has definitely been done before but whatever)

au where the narrator, unbeknownst to stanley, finds out that he can be physically affectionate in a form that stanley can't see or feel.

after countless careful testing of stanley's reactions to confirm this, he starts to casually sort of. walk side by side to him and brush their hands together.

after a few hundred resets, he's at a point where he constantly holds hands (phases them through each other) with stanley as he yammers on as usual. sometimes he floats around him in circles and studies the folds in his clothes and the way stanley moves, still blabbering about, until, carefully, he leans reeeal close to stanley's face. he takes in every wrinkle and dimple, every reflection across his eyes, and watches the way his character model's hair sways a little as he walks, still pretending to have some sort of strong opinion about whatever he's talking about. once again, he starts to do this regularly.

when stanley happens to look at something that lines up their eyes to seem like eye contact, the narrator gets all freaked out and goes strangely quiet. he makes up some excuse (let's see here.. the next door is .. hmm .. .. (the first time it happened he actually did get them both lost)), and the next few times it happens, he starts rambling faster, trips over his words, and flusters himself in his own monologue.

after another few hundred resets he calms down and gets used to the fake-outs and gradually forgets it was ever even a worry.

during one reset in this peaceful phase, the narrator hugs him from behind, wraps his arms over his shoulders and around his chest, and sighs somewhat like a dog as he rests the underside of his chin on stanley's shoulder.

of course, sighs of yearning and disappointment sound similar enough that this one fit nicely for his current monologue. in fact, he starts getting so caught up with sarcastically praising stanley for staying in the employee lounge for more than two whole minutes, that as he leans into his face, yawning mid-sentence from the pseudo-warmth of stanley's neck and left cheek, he doesn't even notice that stanley has not only stayed in the same room, but hasn't moved an inch for the past five minutes.

worse yet, the narrator only finally realized when he happened to look up admiringly again, and nearly flew across the room at the sheer intensity of stanley's eyes staring dead into his own. he paused his berating. he didn't even have an excuse prepared, and he wouldn't need one, considering how stanley's first movement after the narrator's nearly endless stream of complaining was to turn to look at him where he hovered slightly above the floor, somewhat disheveled and panicked.
