James and Sirius talking to Jamie about quidditch cuz they're trying to bond and are catching up on everything and Sirius brings up the rising Chaser for the Falmouth Falcons, some guy named Caleb Gaton, and Jamie goes pale in the face and looks more and more frightened as the conversation continues until he has to quietly excuse himself and they don't know what happened but they KNOW what fear looks like, what trauma looks like, because they grew up in the war, and the look on Jamie’s face just then while they were talking about something as innocuous as Quidditch, it was the look of someone who'd endured a war.
