One by one, the lamps on the market street were doused for the evening. An hour after the last wick had gone cold, The Crimson Cross’ lamp was snuffed, too. It took force to squeeze the door shut coming back. The wood was bloated and ached in the cold, and the inner lintel that was painted in the summer was now mostly chipped away. Winters in Lysara had much duller teeth than even the mildest of Iskaran seasons, but the humidity rising off the sea seeped into every sinew and beam of the shop, same as it did in even the slightest crevices in bare skin. The alchemist’s hands were hatched with red, itchy lines, and they griped after each wash. In almost three hundred years, he’d never been so aware of the backs of his hands, or the handling of ammonia, as he was now. 

Neven hooked his herb-steeped apron behind the counter, feeling the beginnings of a yawn in the sunken void of his stomach. The fatigue, the malaise, the slight tremor in his usually surgically steady hands; it all suddenly clicked. How long had it been since his last meal? Scarcity had primed him to stock the shop ahead, but it left very little time for tending to his immediate needs. His fingernails were stained a reddish gold from his handling of turmeric, and various colors of Sinarian import. 

The stairs to Neven’s apartment groaned underfoot as he trod up, thinking of the contents of the jewelry box in his cupboard. It would be enough to sate him before the hunger grew too distracting. The cubi’s eyes narrowed, and his brain ground to a sudden halt. A thread of gold ribbon had unspooled itself down the stairs. No, not ribbon, light, pouring through the stairwell from the door at the top, left slightly ajar. Immediately, Neven began priming himself for the list of excuses, the long-winded allegorical story, the mass of energy that would be waiting for him on the other side of the door. Neven pressed one knuckle against the door. “Kay?” He asked gingerly, pushing it open. Only it wasn’t Kay inside. Fried neurons tried to match the face he saw to a memory, but proper recollection evaded them. “Sorry. I thought you were someone else.” He smiled, apologetically.

"I only ask you pardon the mess." It wasn’t unusual for patients to make their way into the floor that doubled as an operating room. The shop had closed for the evening, but a person in need would be seen. The alchemist’s hands were grateful for the balm of a fire already burning. He latched a kettle over the flames and went to the cupboard. The black box at the back of the cupboard groaned for attention, pulling at his growing hunger. He ignored it. “What is our topic of discussion, exactly?” Neven asked the guest over his shoulder, drawing a second cup out.

no I'm sorry, if you mean my bagless Flug design; it's a little too obviously based on a real human being (GLP/GermanLetsPlay, who uses a very similar design of his persona for merch, it's absolutely his trademark. my german followers always recognize him immediately.) and I won't do that without consent. it's my full intention for him to look exactly like Manu bc I thought it would be funny. if I design a different bagless Flug maybe in the future I can do that, but I probably won't.

I dislike the idea of Flug's face being revealed and dread it. I don't want to know. the secret is the appeal!! I'm slightly objectum

akutagawa (ryuunosuke) really kills me as a character. he's cool to everyone but obsessive over his goals (dazai's acknowledgment) this drives him in so much. he's the port mafia's rabid dog. he's dazai's dog, the one that gets kicked around and bites back but can never leave.

dazai is haunting him, atsushi is haunting him, akutagawa is haunting himself. he sold his soul at the promise of a reason to live. he trusted dazai because he killed the men akutagawa intended to, without any other reason. gin followed him, stays with him. he treated kyouka terribly but admitted to her face he was happy for her.

he fainted when dazai acknowledged him. he needs something to chase, craves something for him to do because he's never known how to live for himself. he has nothing to live for, no regard for his life, but lives anyway.

he's pushing higuchi away. apologizing for his treatment of her. he's nothing like dazai. he doesn't want to be. he hates him. he's at his beck and call. he's dying. he's never not been dying. no one knows except for atsushi. he's going to die without a reason to live. his final words were spent telling atsushi to run. don't come back for him. he's dying. he's already gone.

i didn't promise anything but hehe!! i've been working on something based on my random ramble i had about how reincarnated asriel could've been so cool if it was MORE ABOUT how it's kind of morally fucked with frisk having to kill a guy + flowey does not magically become good and nice... realized it'll take me a bit so i thought why not give a little bit of it NOW... as a treat.

Frisk froze as they stared down at the dusting gelatin monster. Flowey crept towards the weakened form, a vine slowly rising to grab its soul. Because regular monster souls are so difficult to absorb, the best way to do it is to grab their soul before they finish falling down. This way, when they die, you can snatch their soul before it fades with its owner. Did you know that gelatin monsters taste differently depending on their flavor? This one's soul tasted kind of like gummy worms. A little thick on the sour though. Huh. Dead, just like that. Kind of pathetic.

But that's just an opinion. Its soul begins weakly shining a dull white. Flowey, having already gripped the soul tight, absorbed it without a second thought. It tickled. Flowey could feel... something wiggling around in his body. For a moment, Frisk and Flowey stood there silently. Frisk's breaths grew heavy. They had an expression Flowey wouldn't be able to describe if he tried. The silence felt like it was never going to end. That this was all going to be for nothing. A monster killed for a plan that didn't even work. But then a light began to crawl through the flower's body. He could just sense it. It felt kind of... good? It grew ever brighter as Flowey's body began to contort.

The light grew so bright that Flowey couldn't see anything else. He was hit with an intense wave of negativity.

somy parents bought tickets to the cursed child musical on broadway and i feel terrible bc jkr will be getting money but im not in a place to tell them to give them up (minor) and it was really hard and expensive to get tickets and they were really proud of it bc they know i like hp

i think this is one of those cases where they were misinformed and unaware, and that's okay! and i hope the guilt doesn't ruin that experience for you and i think it's really good that you're aware !! that's great, so the next step that i would takeee would be explaining to them if it's something you're uncomfy with. the tickets have been bought so it's down to you whether to go or not, that's okie and i reckon they spent a lot of time getting their child a gift they'd like SOOO i'd say just a lil chat to say thank you and this will be fun but for future reference, please don't buy official stuff.

which is something i still have to do with friends and family. i'm an adult so i do have the safety net of just returning things if they don't listen or matching the donation elsewhere BUTTT obviously that's more tricky as a minor and all you can really do is talk to them about it so that it hopefully doesn't happen again :)
