Having sort of puppy thoughts again

Coming over to your place just not quite feeling like myself. Just not being able to describe how or why everything feels too much, overwhelming, and confusing. I come in set my bag down planning to spend the whole holiday there with you. As i finish taking off my shoes, you come in to the room and take one look at how not myself i am (not wearing my usual style when i come over of skirts and crop tops and instead just comfy pants, a tshirt, and hoodie). When your eyes finally land on my face all you say is "oh my poor puppy" and open your arms and thats all it takes for me to start tearing up the day catching up to me as i make my way to your arms. We stand there for a few moments clung together as you pet my hair and tell me "its okay puppy ive got you. No need to think right now." When i finally calm down enough you say "Why dont you go grab one of your collars for me hm? You can lay in my lap for a bit afterwards." i manage to nod already really far gone into my puppy headspace. I go to your room and open the drawers where you keep all my collars and toys and chew toys. I look over all of them each one unique but all so pretty. I run my finger over them feeling the way it goes over the words on some, the jewels on another, the softness of the frilly lace one. It takes me awhile to actually make a decision over which i want to wear for you. I end up picking this fabric one that has a lil bit of lace but not overboard that you call adorable everytime i wear it. While in the drawer, i also pick out a chewlery toy (shaped like a small crystal) as the the indecisiveness of collar picking caused me to start biting my lips my oral fixation already taking root. I bring both to you for final confirmation. You smile as you see my choices and go ahead and put them on me and when you hook your finger under to make sure its not too tight you hum out the lil "adorable" and it makes me smile before i go ahead and start chewing on the chewlery as you settle yourself on the couch. Going through this many times, i wait patiently before you pat your thigh and command "up" once you do i hop up with you snd settle my head in your lap as you gently pet my hair. "Good pup" you praise before you switch on some sports game i dont need to pay attention to as i just focus on the way you pet me. After awhile my stomach starts to growl and you hum and check your watch "guess its about dinner time yeah?" You reach over and grab some food you set out earlier when i was choosing a collar. You go back and forth feeding yourself and me. Letting me lick off any of the leftover sauce on your fingers from the bits of sandwhiches. Softly scolding "ah ah no biting" when i get too into licking them. Soon we're all done eating and you let me shift into sitting in your lap and soon i fall asleep with my head on your shoulder. And in the morning i wake in my cage

honestly im still baffled by the choice of having eddie treat buck’s boils, when it would’ve made a lot of sense to have buck treat himself, or even better, his bf, who was literally right there. but no, eddie was called, and he came over, with his own first aid kit, and it was A Choice

even if they just wanted eddie to be in the scene, they could’ve had him video-calling or taking the seat opposite buck while tommy tended to him, but no, it was eddie

Hey guys... So like. Did we know that before Thom Pike was a tour manager, he was a drummer in a band (Falling With Style) with 3/4 guys who would later become Holding Absence? Is this common knowledge, or have I stumbled upon gold?

I knew about Sam Hallett being in Blood Youth before working as a tech, and Thom working with them on tour, and I also did know Thom and the HA guys went way back*. But this I didn't know!! How cool!!

* Adamross and the rest of Glass Heart was also already working with him at this time btw. The connections are connecting.

Referring back to that recent post from @sleepanonymous, I am now wondering if George Lever also produced their stuff from before, given he has worked on both early Holding Absence and Sleep Token, and if that's how they all met 👀

(more ramblings bellow the cut, nothing interesting just me being insane. also i just think it's cool how all of these bands and people are connected. nothing more)

So. Timeline of events that I know of:

2015 - Falling With Style ends

2016 - Thom is now a Tour Guy ; Sleep Token and Holding Absence are born ; George Lever is producing for both bands

(and then there's that Carl Bown/B4MV thing somewhere around here)

2018 - Thom has been working as Tour Manager for Holding Absence and Blood Youth ; Adam and the (would-be) Glasses are part of his crew ; Sleep Token is touring with HA and Loathe (also G. Lever prod.) as an opening band ; enter Espera (🥹🥰💕😚💘🤭 this has nothing to with the post but I just like to think about them)

2019 - Thom is officially managing ST (probably 2018 too? idk about before) ; Glass Heart is born (again not entirely relevant but I stay on my GH propaganda always. Adam say thank you baby 💎🩵)

Then we have those collabs etc etc ; Sam leaves the band and becomes a Tech guy ; FTRB ; George stops producing (🥺🥲) ; enter Carl Bown ; ENTERS COOL MF VESSEL THE FOURTH (our ivy)

January 2023 - Sam Hallett joins the fold (🥹💙) ; the first singles of TMBE are released ; World Domination etc etc

I know it's been said a thousand times in a thousand ways but it is genuinely amazing how the show is very obvious about how Lestat views his relationship with Louis and Claudia to the point they outright say it. He says "The Lambs herd the Beauceron" in mockery of their new 'paradigm' and how ridiculous he finds it. This is exactly how Lestat views their relationship and i could write a whole essay about how, well he isn't exactly wrong to feel this way? Lestat sees Louis and Claudia as his lambs. He sees himself as their protector, their Beauceron.

If we do end up getting Lestat's perspective on this time period, and the writers do want to make Lestat more sympathetic to the audience, I think a good way to do this would be instead of trying to make Louis seem like a hysterical woman liar make it so Lestat was being an actual protector out of view of Louis and Claudia. Whether this be killing people who get suspicious of them or other vampires who get a bit too close to their territory idk. But it would explain why he views himself as their protector when in the show we don't actually get to see him do a lot of the positive Maker/Father roles.

My two cents on the whole 'ride Pokemon aren't nobles' debacle with PLA; I frankly think its kinda dumb that they made a big deal in game about the Ten Pokemon that fought with the Ancient Hero... but only treat half of them as worthy religious figures for whatever reason.

I've always approached it as there being two different levels of Nobles - The Greater/Offensive (aka the canon Nobles™️) and the Lesser/Defensive (aka the canon Ride 'mons). The Offensive ones are those that would take battles head-on to keep it far away to protect the Clans whereas the Defensive would focus on directly keeping the Clans safe. Hence why they would over time become the Ride 'mons, as they would carry people safely away from the dangerous battles.

The Ride mons might get a little less direct respect overtime because the common person is simply more familiar with them, more chummy, compared to the others who keep their distance and cause people to fall back on overly respectful to make up for any discomfort. But they are ultimately all still Nobles at the end of the day.

Of course, this is just my fanon take. It certainly is my approach for the Catching Trains fic (not that its been of much focus lol). But it's my sandbox too so I figure I'll build castles the way I like.

random sleep headcanon time let's go

when the boys aren't sleeping with Javi's head laying on Kieran's chest (yep, that was me!), they're spooning. Javier is the little spoon. Kieran will never admit it was almost entirely a bid to stop falling off the bed in the middle of the night (they both shift around a lot)

Kieran picked up a bit of Spanish while he was in the army, so when he and Javier are both a little bit sleep deprived and a bit more drunk they're giggling and gossiping about the rest of the gang

Javier is NOT a morning person and it's only when he gets older does he somewhat begin to tolerate them. if only to get more cuddle time with his hubby and see the sunrise splash across Kieran's face

Kieran is a bit of a blanket hog which is fine most of the time bc Javi runs warm and it's only in the winter that it becomes a problem because Javier hates the cold

(slaps roof of car) these bad boys can fit SO many nightmares in them. it's very rare they wake up thrashing and screaming tho. mostly their eyes shoot open and they tense up for a few moments, and many times one has woken up to the other staring at them, checking their pulse. bone-crushing cuddles and tea ensue.

(good ending/modern) have fun getting out of bed in the morning when your cats have found the exact locations and positions to make slipping out of bed impossible without waking someone up. Kieran spends about an extra 10 minutes in bed every morning trying to escape when Javier is wrapped around him, one cat is loafed on his chest, another one is curled up between his legs, and his arm has gone numb under the third. he wouldn't change a thing <3

personally i do believe that they swap back and forth on who’s the big spoon and who’s the little spoon but most of the time javier is indeed the little spoon. mostly because their height difference makes it the most comfortable but also because javi will prop his leg up on kieran like this in his sleep and sometimes it will make him wake up with terrible back pain so to avoid it, kieran gets big spoon privileges

also i think javier would really begin to enjoy being the little spoon after ch4 because while he can’t directly listen to kieran’s heartbeat, he can squeeze in tight and feel it on his back, and combining that with the warmth of kieran’s body and the heat of his breathing on his scalp, it’s just as comforting.

on the spanish note, i’ve been becoming more and more fond of the idea of kieran having a baseline understanding of spanish … at first i was leaning towards him not knowing a lick, just so javi can have language privacy for when he has his dramatic moments, but now it’s almost canon to me that kieran could at the very least navigate himself through a situation in which spanish is the only language the people around him could speak. though i think most of his gossip is going to be spanglish LOL which is even cuter to me 💔 (insert toby fox “toho project” accent changes) javier teaches him more and more words and they get more and more mean girl-y the more “privacy” they have in those conversations. they’re so cute 💔💔💔

“many times one has woken up to the other staring at them, checking their pulse” i have to d*e that makes me SO MISERAVLE BECAUSE YOURE RIGHT especially javier, not only because he’s almost explicitly lost kieran once, but also because he’s literally lived his entire life up until now dedicated to protecting the lives of those he loves (ie; fleeing to america to protect his family, not himself). so of course the first thing he’s going to do when he wakes up in fight or flight is to make sure the reason he is living is still alive. if kieran is still breathing, then javier is too. i can see javier curling up tight with his head on kieran’s chest, letting the rhythm of his heart ground him. kieran wakes up from nightmares cold and alone and he can’t see the world around him. he’ll gasp like he can’t breathe and sit up and pull his knees to his chest and, without fail, javier will reach out to his warmth and touch him- more often than not still in his sleep. it’s usually enough to snap kieran out of the flashback, at least to the point where he can grab javi’s hand and pull it up to his face, where he closes his eyes and treads his partners fingertips along his neck and cheeks to ensure to himself that he’s okay and safe. even if javier wakes up (which, as a man on the run, there’s no way he’d sleep through it), he’ll stay slack, watching kieran’s face slowly soften and his breathing slow enough that he won’t at least pass out. you’re entirely correct that following this, they hold each other tight, make sure they’re both warm as can be, and they’ll make/get some sort of tea or snack for the other. they don’t talk much, maybe a question here or there about a preference for the comfort but otherwise they just do things that remind the other that they’re both still alive enough to love.

THE LAST ONE OOUGGH YOUR EMAKING ME YHINK ABOUT ME AND JJ’S (rip jj my beloved (they’re not dead just inactive)) CENTURIES OLD MODERN JAVIERAN CAT SANCTUARY AU LOL in every life, javieran have cats. i don’t even think kieran can avoid attracting animals, and javier WILL cause a 10 car pileup on the highway if he sees a cat in need of rescuing. anyway, you’re completely right 😭💔 kieran always gets up first, even on the days that javier has work in the morning, so he’s the one who has to peel himself out of bed away from his fluffy, warm cell. he also has to try to shush two of the cats that begin their loud objections to his abhorrent behavior (of getting up to make coffee) so that they don’t wake javier up. he has to hush them all the way out of the room and into the kitchen, there in which the meowing becomes louder, as they’ve now become demands of compensation via food for waking them up so early. pepita, javier’s cat, always stays in bed with him until he wakes up, no matter what she is enticed with.

I do love the concept of Evka and Antoine lightly bringing up Warden Thorne to Davrin, only for Davrin to be informed later that Warden Rook is Warden Thorne.

And it wouldn’t be a huge stretch to imagine Davrin hearing about Thorne around Weisshaupt either. Rook does mention getting thrown into Weisshaupt’s cells a few times*, as well as (though more of a stretch and inference) the first warden probably having more than the town hall incident to have a deep annoyance towards Rook, like he seems to have towards Antoine and Evka.

Your boss just so happens to also be that guy people kept murmuring about once every few months. Hottest person you’ve ever laid eyes on, also maybe sorta kinda is that guy who dropped a town hall on a huge hoard of darkspawn and would’ve got into a ton of trouble for it, if they hadn’t gone on a little trip right away.

*I think you can interpret that line however you want, but the conversation was Davrin mentioning how it mainly held drunk wardens. So it might be implying that Rook got drunk and got thrown into the dungeon for it. I don’t have examples of the lines rn so I can’t actually clearly say whether or not it’s meant to be implying that or anything else. I just know Rook got in trouble lightly enough to get thrown into Weisshaupt’s cells a few times.

aaron feels so, so real to me... like, maybe i'm just delusional and silly but when i imagine scenarios, i can see him so perfectly and i really do feel like he's here with me. i can imagine being with him in almost every scenario and even when i'm thinking of something else, it feels like he's always beside me. maybe i'm a lil crazy, maybe i'm a lil cuckoo, but one thing i know for sure is that aaron hotchner makes me so inexplicably happy and i am so glad i found him. hopefully in another universe i truly do have him by my side <3

If you're not too busy, would you mind listing some of the things you think count as death flags for Mr. Spender?

There's the obvious fact that he's the "old" mentor to group of young protagonists, but what else do you think would count?

OHH BOY ok so I'd think I'm a crackpot for this but since we're talking about Zack "Foreshadowing" Morrison. I have some thoughts

No harm in leading with the (chronologically) first thing that jumped out at me:

This one IMMEDIATELY made me antsy whenever I came back to it after my initial read, and considering Zack has referred to it on twitter in the past as one of their favorite jokes it's definitely not been forgotten about.

Second, the sheer amounts of near-misses, jokey or not, of Spender narrowly avoiding specifically lightning

Again, not much, but it's weird that it happened thrice, latter two of which had real gravitas rather than an one-off joke.

And third, Spender himself. He's repeatedly shown himself to be kind of a self sacrificing idiot, as well as prideful to a fault. Granted, it's both him and Mina trying to take on all the responsibility of saving Mayview and its inhabitants from their fate.. But Spender is exactly that right measure of doesn't-value-himself-enough (chest footprint aftercare or lack thereof), having an obscene amount of power (enables his loner act + pride) and poor judgement that has the capacity to put him at great risk. And it has!

Spender has not only shown low enough self-esteem to view himself as the de-facto scapegoat for the safety of the town, but also prideful enough to make very bad calls that end up in people, often himself, hurt (COUGH FORGE INCIDENT COUGH)

This is all conjecture, but it's definitely enough to make me worried about him :') Even if all this doesn't mean he'll necessarily die he's definitely getting (even more) seriously injured at some point. I love the guy but he's so far doing a horrible job of convincing me he wants to live bad enough to circumvent at least that

Since I drew Mind first, we're talking about him. :]

Soooo, he's pretty much the only one who doesn't have any scratches or anything, except for where his heart is. Now normally it wouldn't be exposed like that, just be underneath the "skin" layer, then the casing, (and in another idea, it would be.)

But Imma say through whatever circumstance if it was exposed, then it would happen because of a fight. Now thinking of a scenario where Heart would try and prove Mind is a hypocrite (they both are) by bashing his chest in and ripping its mechanical heart out. Showing it that they are one in the same.

(Obviously he needs it to live, so that wouldn't last long. And makes no sense at all.) Idk, the ideas just come randomly.

His arms... Honestly, there isn't any BIG thing that happens to him at all for its arms to be like that. It was just made that way, no arms ripped off or anything. Just born that way. (Be Born??? Or born in a sense you'd imagine in your head.) The only thing that isn't mechanical is his head and legs. Idk why. But that's just how it is. He can't really feel touch, again only feeling through its head, legs, and tail. Does it bother it? Sometimes. But almost just accepts it, but does (secretly) appreciate the occasional affection.

You may immediately notice that Heart's...well heart is also exposed. Huh! But for a different reason.

*Insert bringing up previous fanfics and animatics revolving around Heart's literal heartbreak for the millionth time*

I had this idea for a previous persona design of mine, where the heart just....pops out from any extreme emotion. But then decided to have the heart just exposed as if he was shot.

Y'know how the depiction of Cupid shoots arrows at people, who in term fall in love or whatever. Yeah, think of that, but the opposite and internal turned physical. Whole (Whole mention, wow) got shot down emotionally, so then Heart literally feels like he just died.

He has scars on him, mostly from accidentally getting hurt and purposefully doing it under extreme circumstances.

But always has bandaids in case.

The Star. Oh what can I say about them. Through the previous Soul ramble about the shadow half representing stress, it's just there. Never going away at all. He has less scars than Heart, he doesn't really do much in terms of physical fights. But isn't against it. Having to separate the two when things get messy, and in doing so, it gets in the scuffle. And that's where Heart's extra bandaids come into play. But doesn't always want to use them.

Their horn is cracked due to the aforementioned fights that'll happen, bumping into something that made pieces of it broke, now always covering it. It can't be repaired. Like all the injuries that stay with them.

I don't know why they all appear with different heights, since they're all supposed to be the same height. But ok.

I also was going to make like, solid colored, simple versions of them. Like them first ever existing in Whole's head. Silhouettes basically with only the eyes and basic shapes of their namesakes. But maybe for another time.

I'm putting too much thought into these, but this is honestly very fun to do!

I think that's all until another thing comes up inside me head to put into reality.

Erm guys, im not 100% sure but I think my antidepressants made me hallucinate last night 💀I can’t be certain cuz it seemed pretty fucking but like I saw weird black worm bug thing crawling around my wall and then it turned to a crab spider thing and then back to the black worm and it “fell” on my bed ik a bug changing it race or whatever seems pretty delusional but I was flailing around when I thought it feel in my bed TwT and I went outside my room because I didn’t wanna be in the same room as that thing and I saw these like humanish arms in the shadows of some room the had the door open and I thought I saw my mom in a chair but when I walked over to check there was no one there and the entire time I feel like there was eyes watching me and bugs crawling inside my skin I was scratching my neck sm to get them out I was about to pull a When They Cry(anime reference cuz they have this fake disease that makes someone really paranoid and they always scratch there neck to death cuz they think there are maggots in there blood and that their cursed by their local god) anywayz I still feel a bit paranoid and it still feels like their are bugs under my skin but I’m not hallucinating anymore(I think) whatever it was it was terrifying so I’m going to go back to 150mg of burpropion cuz these Side effects are wild thx….
