i’ve seen a couple posts like this already but i hope this year is kinder self shippers of color. those with darker skin, hair that cant be found anywhere in picrews going around, those who have to witness people shipping with characters of color and paint them as aggressive or fetishize them. those who have to deal with passive aggressive or outright racist behavior towards them. i know fandom racism is so common but it makes me a little sick how normalized it is within spaces, that it happens so much. i hope we can be treated a little better this year, preferably treated better all together
