I was once watching a DCSHG shorts compilation on YouTube and had to stop after 20 seconds because Ivy was eating pork rinds, Harley asked what she was eating, and, (knowing full well they were pork) Harley had some. Like, shsjskks seriously? :|

it took me a while to find this short but once I did, welp. Yeah, it's disappointing but not surprising sadly. Harley's Jewish identity has been so lost in modern adaptations, which is a shame since her entire existence is based on Arleen to begin with.

While I love DCSHG, I do think they miss the mark on a couple of things regarding marginalized representation! I remember Bumblebee/Karen's design wasn't received well because of how light-skinned she was interpreted (compared to her Teen Titans and Young Justice looks, it's pretty egregious how much they lightened her up) and yet the show has no problem portraying Catwoman/Selina as way more dark skinned. Not great!
