It is somewhat difficult being someone who isn't a practicing writer, meaning I haven't written anything beyond what I'd consider warmup sketches in several years, but also can't divorce myself enough from the craft to like... have a normal experience with a book.

#i am always Considering prose construction and going insane over turns of phrase #the story is secondary to the actual craft exhibited in the use of language to me #all that to say i want to skin GenaRose Nethercott and wear her brain as a hat because Holy Fucking Shit #this is like looking at a Rembrandt but with words #idk how i feel about the story specifically but the artistry of the prose is making me fucking feral #gonna kill myself #i could never write like this #literally every third line has me screaming with how artfully its constructed #god DAMN
