pve balance - mch’s ‘balance’ is insulting, ,nobody was surprised. smn and rpr players doomposting are the bane of my existence. sam got dumped on big time, we all knew it was coming, yoshi p knew they would hate it, and yet. as a drk enjoyer i feel for them i really do, their dps just got fucked. drk came out extremely well and i’m just going to enjoy it while it lasts.

pvp balance i’ve only had a chance to play the new mch in pvp but. bruh. if pve mch fucked half this hard i would never play anything else. deleting players across the map is grand. everything feels satisfying to use, and there’s a better risk/reward for pressing your buttons versus just spamming heat blast. drk looks like a blast but i only had time after raids for a couple of matches before i crashed. ngl am tempted to mod the appearance of the drk pvp lb onto pve shadowbringer

pvp mode seems fun?? only played a couple matches, was weird to get feast achievements lel. took me a while to work out the whole team needs to be present to ‘lock’ a crystal’s progress but it makes sense. matches are fast at least. gonna try ranked later and see how it goes.

How I feel about this character: I LOVE HIM!!! bruh okay, i think one of my first thoughts about him was that i was in love with his slightly unhinged asshole vibes. i think super smug slightly mean characters are a LOT of fun. i mean, especially with his character introduction in haikyuu, i was very eyeseyes but like i also love that he his frightening and threatening bc "im counting on you team" etc etc and ALSO acts like a goddamn child sticking his tongue out and shit, he’s just so much fun. also, i have latched onto the detail of that one time when u see his camera roll and he just!!! has so many pictures!!! of takeru!!! oikawa just loves his nephew and i think thats cute, even when takeru’s acting like a punk

Sorry for being so negative these last few weeks (if anyone reads my tags it shows…) but idk, this is my blog, so I do what I want. Anyway, this is just a very long vent post and I’ll put it under a cut anyway if anybody wants to read it.

Okay, so I moved to France almost exactly four weeks ago and ever since then it’s been nothing but problems. I chose this bachelor degree very well knowing that I’d move to another country and that’s also what I wanted! Which is great, I always wanted to spend some time of my university experience in a foreign country and especially in France if there was a possibility to do so.

Since I’m the very first German to join this programme, I’m kind of the guinea pig for everything but I knew that beforehand as well. I think I’m more of a guinea pig for the German side, though since for my university in Germany it’s their first time offering a programme like this. To quickly explain, you start in your home country and then move to the foreign country for a while until you return and then receive your diploma of two universities. Sounds neat and all if things actually worked but they don’t really as it turns out…

Anyway, I thought everything would’ve been cleared up - or at least most of the things - before my arrival but that wasn’t the case. I got zero information on how this whole system works here and it’s very different than in Germany + there’s the obvious language barrier that I have. That’s not surprising, most things get solved within the first two weeks or so but the person who’s supposed to be my contact person is known for not answering very fast and sorting things out and that’s basically what my first four weeks have been so far; trying to navigate everything in a foreign country, a foreign language and solving organizational things which for some reason are left to myself.

Basically, I get told that people are going to do it for me and talk to others to get things going but then they just don’t and I’m faced with not knowing what to do since I won’t receive any answers to my mails. (Also when somebody tells you that you’re able to visit them on a certain day of the week for 15 minutes it’s kind of saying a lot on how much time they have for you… Nevermind that I don’t even have time on that day but in their defense I forgot to mention that, since that conversation only lasted 5 minutes)

Getting registered at the uni here was enough of a hassle but it finally worked. Then when I thought I had my courses there’s still another problem left and since the system in France isn’t as flexible as in Germany that just creates more problems the more time goes on. So in summary, week one to three of September were spent trying to figure out my schedule + my registration and while I thought I’d finally be done with that, there’s still one thing missing and it’s currently my fourth week here.

I was prepared to face problems like the language barrier, a different university system, being on my own because I’m the only German here but I wasn’t prepared to deal with organizational stuff on my own because nobody’s really helping me. My biggest help so far have been my fellow students and my tutor but even those don’t really know how to properly help me most of the time and I’ve never heard back from my contact person about my schedule here. I understand that professors are busy and all but lending a helping hand when a new student arrives would be nice. Again, they mentioned that if I don’t hear back from them it’s usually a good sign and if I didn’t hear back until a certain day, it’d be fine but it was hard telling that to the people who handled my registration.

The problem that's left now is about an essay I have to write and I was told I should do it in the course from year three which isn’t possible anymore as I found out today. The prof can’t let me do this in his course because I’d be too much, which is understandable since he already had to reject others weeks ago and it’d be really rude to the other students if he accepted an essay from somebody who’s three weeks late. The prof who’s my contact person here told me two weeks ago that I should send him my schedule and he’d talk to his colleagues and sort things out because I couldn’t register in the first week of September before courses started since there were problems with my registration.

If I had had the information beforehand on how to do my schedule and had received my password earlier, this problem wouldn’t exist. But since nobody prepared me for that and told me, I’m now sitting here still trying to somehow solve this weeks after the semester here started and it sucks to be the one trying to do that when it isn’t really my task. Right when I thought that everything was solved, I’m faced with yet another problem and the stress just keeps going and hasn’t stopped ever since I moved here. And while I’d understand that there were so many problems with a new programme, I’m less understanding if there was a previous programme just like this one but with another different city in Germany. Same contact person here but it seems like they’re doing it for the very first time and that shouldn’t be the case at all. I’ve also learnt (and experienced for that matter) that other profs aren’t very fond of him and know what it’s like to try and sort things out but I’m not involved in that beef and yet I still kind of am without wanting to.

As I mentioned before, it only gets harder as time goes on and to be frank, I’m sick of it. I don’t know when I’ll reach the end of rope but I’m always telling myself if I absolutely can’t take it anymore I’ll return to Germany or just take a break for a year before I try again. I’m not sure if this is even a possibility but it’s driving me nuts and I don’t even think about enjoying my time here. It’s been nothing but a struggle and if I had to summarize September so far, it’s basically been a hardcore “try not to cry once a week challenge” which I’m failing miserably at this point. It’s so frustrating for me to sort all of this out while I can’t even use my native language and I’m not that familiar with the system here to begin with.

It got to the point that I can’t even have a normal conversation with a prof about organizational stuff without my voice cracking and me just wanting to start crying on the spot because I’m so frustrated and stressed. If anybody asks me on how things are, I really have to hold back as well. Sometimes I sit in the lectures and my thoughts drift off to all these unsolved problems and I have a hard time keeping my composure. Thankfully everybody here has to wear a mask at all times, so that at least can hide it somewhere but I wouldn’t be surprised if I just left a lecture because I was feeling like shit.

I’ve told my parents about my problems and today my Dad asked me if he should still order the book that I asked him to because even he was unsure if I’d continue this or not. And while I told him yes, that’s also just a testimony on how bad things are right now. It’s also cool that my contact person told me that everybody who organizes this programme is concerned about a person’s well-being and their mental health but I’m far from feeling well. I was prepared for a lot of things, as well as feeling somewhat lonely which I surprisingly don’t but I wasn’t prepared for all this organizational bullshit and not really having anybody here that can help me with it.

tl;dr I’m so tired and exhausted of everything and even if I still want to at least try and get this bachelor degree, I don’t know for how long I’ll continue trying if things aren’t solved soon.

Onmyoji Movie

HI so I watched the Onmyoji Movie based off of the game last night and . . . . that sure was something!

In all honesty despite the weird path they decided to take, I actually enjoyed the movie. The music and detail in the scenery was amazing, I LOVED the costuming for a lot of the background characters esp in the Demon Realm, and a lot of the easter eggs that were hidden were nice. 

BUT. but. As someone heavily invested in the lore of the game (especially concerning Ibaraki) how they decided to deal with the movie was like. really confusing. It genuinely felt as if NE gave the directors a cast of characters and let them do what they wanted from there w/o any prior knowledge of the game.

Before I really pry into that though, I’ll kinda note some of the characters.

Seimei/Qingming was actually my favorite. I think this is sort of an unpopular opinion right now, but his characterization was so nice even if it sorta leans into the basic drama hero type personality. In the game Seimei is supposed to be you/the player, and not everyone is going to have the same interpretation of him-- and that’s what the movie felt like, a different interpretation. I will say I didn’t really like them making him related to their version of Orochi. I believe the snakes name was Xiangliu? I can’t remember, but I didn’t see the reason in that. 

If anything, keeping him a fox and having a version of Tamamo no Mae popping up to offer advice to help with the situation would’ve been nicer, and that’d keep more of Seimei’s backstory kept in tact-- because asides from him becoming an Onmyoji apprentice at a young age we literally do not know shit about him. And legit I wouldn’t necessarily mind bc it’s a movie, you’re not going to get everyone’s backstory within 2 hrs, but we can’t really get attached to him.

Yao Bikuni/Baini was. Hm. I like her as a character in the movie, but I don’t like where she’s placed as a character in the movie. She’s a Seer? in the game and tbh it should’ve stayed that way, like I honestly can’t see her willingly working for one clan. “But how would she--” In game she is also influenced by Seimei pretty heavily, as in the in game chapters she believed he would be able to kill her. Up until she got manipulated by Orochi, she stuck to his side. With the Stone plot in the movie, if it put him in danger she would be there in order to try and help him, OR, try and pull him to join Orochi if they went that route. And they KINDA tried to hint at it when Seimei “died” with Orochi using her image, but like. come on man. Let Yao be evil for a little bit.

That being said I didn’t like the Master & Shikigami bit with those two, or the implied romance they tried to pull with them. Canonically Seimei legit brushes her off and when shes like “ohhh you’ll kill me right” hes like “lol sure” and thats IT. Literally any form of romance that’s tried at Seimei he brushes it off. he’s not into it he’s an amnesiac.

The “Oh if you become my shikigami you won’t become evil” thing was :/ to me as well because again, canonically, even though Seimei is being taunted he can contain the Kitsune part pretty well even when he wasn’t aware he was kitsune. Like I think the part as a kid was a good bit to add since it’s when he’s first being exposed to Onmyoji type stuff, but like. idk idk I couldn’t vibe with that power dynamic while they were trying to hint romance.

Continuing on with Hiromasa/Yuan Boya and Kagura/Shenle, again considering this is a movie, I’m somewhat content with their characters.

I really liked how energetic this Kagura was, and given they weren’t able to do her actual backstory, I liked the one she was given. Her introduction in the movie was really great too-- and compared to Hiromasa I felt they gave her a little more attention? Which like fine, but not so good for Hiro.

They didn’t even. Discuss his archery skills at any point which was disappointing. The most plot relevance he (and honestly Kagura too) had was finding Seimei while trying to arrest him but that’s it. And yes they showed some of his skill while he was fighting Kamaitachi, but that’s the extent of it. AGAIN i’ll consider the fact this was a movie and they didn’t have enough time to fit EVERYTHING in, but since they gave Yao and Seimei so much attention you would think they’d be able to spare some for the other two protagonists in the game. 

Before I leave those two tho I’m still trying to figure out what the fuck happened in the end. Like did hiromasa get promoted in some form? was he given credit for what happened between the demon realm? Why did he separate from Kagura since they got close during the movie? I guess like bc work duties but still. I have no idea tho like i was sitting there not processing a single thing. Regardless I did like Hiro and Kags acting like siblings despite in this canon them not being related (at least it’s never clarified).

Ok so before I dive into the whole mess that is the Cimu/”Ibaraki” character, stuff on side characters.

While I didn’t like the outfits for Sakura(? Momo? Both of them?) or Chocho, I liked the roles that they held as sort of trainers for the rest of Seimeis shikigami. In fact I liked the whole courtyard ordeal in general. I have my own worldbuilding thing that has a similar theme so seeing it being used canonically was pretty nice. I do wish we could’ve seen more SSRs or even SRs though. Like, why couldn’t Aoandon be hanging out in the courtyard to give gossip to Hiro & Kagura? Yamakaze or Shishio hanging out in the forest, or like. bruh even Jikikaeru as the boss in the Showdown considering he runs that in game. 

I did like the fish man! I really did, but literally everything about him could’ve been Jikikaeru, I don’t think it’s that hard to make a frog man. 

Also as mentioned previously it would’ve been nice to see Tamamo make an appearance considering he makes random ones every now and then. The Mujou Brothers could’ve helped the shikigami when they were escaping Seimeis courtyard, Shiranui could’ve been an entertainer while they were traveling through the demon realm, HAKU??? couldve been one of Seimeis shiki?? literally anyone. They have all these misc characters in the background but barely any of them resemble in game characters.

GOD EVEN KOSODENOTE COULDVE BEEN THERE . . . . at the scene where Kagura was messing with jewelry and clothing . . . Koso couldve been the seller. Aobozu could’ve worked at the shrine . . . . I just. Man.

ANYWAYS . . . pulling from that and going into whatever the hell Cimu is. god.

So according to casting, Cimu is supposed to be Ibaraki. But the thing is. There’s only like. 3-4 Elements about Ibaraki that goes into him. Everything else is Shuten which i honestly find pretty funny?? Take away the homophobic jokes and combine the gay coded character into his love interest. Which I mean that’s better than making them brothers but at what cost.

anyways. Cimu previously being an onmyoji but turning evil -> shuten previously being a monk and turning evil. The design of the hand that Cimu uses as transportation -> SP Shutens design where he sits on two hands. Red hair -> shuten. The horns, eye color (minus scleras), arm getting chopped off, and his ambition to grow stronger are really the only parts of Ibaraki that’s in the character-- and even then you could say Shuten has a similar ambition of growing stronger. It’s just so scuffed. 

ALSO IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE. literally it doesn’t make sense when you look at the characters.

Why couldn’t they just stick with Kuro Seimei considering the fact that this Ibaraki works with Ootengus and Yuki Onna/The Snow Queen? They could’ve given Seimei a twin brother to work off of this. But like if they really wanted to keep Ibaraki and Shuten, they could’ve made it that Shuten was being manipulated by Orochi and Ibaraki was serving him, because there’s a LOT of shit you could do just with Shuten by himself. Legit no reason to combine the two since they’re BOTH heavily marketed characters. 

Legit like, Shuten being controlled, given Ibaraki’s loyalty to Shuten he would most likely follow him no matter what, and even like. Have a form of Momiji to kind of help out-- probably at a heavy expense of Shuten doing something for her, but still. like i LOVED the snow queen, I loved this interpretation of yuki so I wouldn’t want to get rid of her, but they shouldve went with Seimei 2 instead of “ibaraki”. It’s just so much and it doesn’t make sense. 

Now orochi himself and how that was handled was like. Okay I guess. If anyone was being talked to through their head at the time it should’ve been Yao Bikuni considering she allies with him in canon at one point. but like whatever. I did think the end was neat where Seimei forced him into becoming his shikigami, like I liked that whole process. Otherwise all antagonists were pretty underwhelming.

I also was not fond of the ending where like Seimei just turns away at the broken bridge. Like does this mean the Demon realm is completely cut off now? just fix the bridge. Also does Seimei just fuck off?? I know theres a scene where he’s standing on the roof but. i dont know. 

Regardless the movie was great, I had fun watching it. When ibaraki came in I accidentally paused the movie a couple of times while spamming screenshots. Even tho hes like kinda ugly but that’s ok. There WERE some angles where he was hot as hell but otherwise they did his actor so dirty. The horns were just. God I won’t delve into that bc this post is long as hell BUT. BUT. THE MOVIE WAS GOOD. just not if ure into the lore for the game LMAO.

Litwick? it started out as a flame in concept before they went with a candle to make it look more like a friend, so it could be inspired a little by a Will-O-Wisp which is some neat mythology stuff from various places.

Cofagrigus? I mean.. dude. listen. I absolutely want a haunted sarcophagus with possibly an actual mummy still inside. ok.

What do you mean running out of ideas? They’ve been going back and redoing up a lot of the hundreds of old design concepts they’ve made in the past for the past several generations of games! They have ideas for days and lots of people working on these games to create Pokemon and concepts!!

And don’t even touch Garbodor, that thing is 100% baby. It’s adorable. if I were a Poison type trainer instead of Ghost type I would have that thing on my team.

i actually thought about that! the whole being on the run thing, this whole squad truly shares the braincell. i was thinking yeah Evil Dictator Asmodeus and magnus having been shunned for trying to kick him out/end his oppressive rule and raphael having always been sort of an outcast and having already bonded with magnus over their shared interest in things that are outside of the mermaid world - especially, in magnus’ case, because it was like... this clean world that was free of his abuse, you know - so raphael and him still meet up. and hey maybe raphael is also trying to plot an uprising because well it’s canon! so he’s kinda like magnus’ inside man. oh no i’m actually pretty into this

so yeah magnus has been shunned and that only gives him more reason to try out that one day and go to the shore and he ends up being seen by maia and well that’s a fuckup! but it turns out great. and slowly but surely they manage to overthrow asmodeus and hell, end the monarchy because fuck that, [BABY I’M AN ANARCHIST STARTS PLAYING AT MAXIMUM VOLUME] and also like again look magnus is a great leader but he deserves a break from all that weight okay. let him see the world and be with his husband and his son and his son’s girlfriend in peace. blease

and SPLASH FIGHTS would be really cute. i particularly imagine raphael and maia doing that when he’s still easing maia into the whole ocean thing you know, like she won’t get in the water but she will maybe climb over a rock and put her feet every once in a while. so to tease her he keeps throwing water on her and being like “see? it’s wet already. you can put a knee in there” and she’s like “fuck off” and kicks some water in his face and he laughs and soon they’re having a splash fight. raphael has an unfair advantage of course since he’s fully immersed in the water and maia only gets to kick some but it actually does help her feel a little more confident? especially because like DICKS OUT FOR AUTISTIC MAIA and getting used to the sensation of sea water on her skin helps her feel a little less uneasy about getting there, you know, one less foreign thing to worry about. and just odadosajd they are so cutee

and YES mermaid cat!! i know the obvious thing would be for her scales to be blue but i just really like yellow or purple??? yellow just looks gorgeous on dark skin so she would be absolutely stunning no one would be able to do it like her, and purple just seems to suit her? idk. but anyway yeah she is also helping them with their overthrowing asmodeus plans but she is closer to him in like the palace or smth idk and so she can’t go out and see them as much? but like yeah duahdsuaihdsauha aaaaaa

3. Worst dream u have ever had? I had sleep paralysis but was imbetween that and a lucid dream. At first I was paralyzed and could see my bed but my eyes felt closed and open at the same time?? A giant dark demon looking dog had towered over me and began to tear at my neck. It looked and felt very real I started to try to scream and it felt like a scream was coming out but no sound exited. Then I went into a lucid dream where I was being chased by this dog and running for my life I was running by and nobody could save me nobody in the dream when it caught up to me I was back in my bed and it was trying to eat me again. I was so terrified I couldn’t sleep for a whole week.

Well, I work at a Mexican restaurant and so sometimes racist costumers will say shady shit just bcuz I guess they think it’s appropriate to say it to me just bcuz I’m not Hispanic in their eyes?? But it pisses me off and I feel like I can’t say anything without causing a drama which I hate and when the “costumers always right” it can be hard to budge and stand up and say “bitch wtf did u just say??” And there’s just folks who take things the wrong ways or ask too much at once or give u a hard time or just say something that sticks onto you for the whole day. One bad move can turn my whole day upside down.

american chinchilla:  bruh why do we have like three whole chinchilla breeds i don’t like chins that much in general why do we need three whole breeds of just chinchilla

american fuzzy lop:  all the worst parts of lionheads and holland lops in one little package

american sable:  never seen one in real life but i want to touch

argente brun:  don’t understand why the argentes aren’t more popular, look at ‘em.  they’re cool as heck.  give me one.

belgian hare:  do you love suffering?  get a hare

beveren:  i think they’re ugly sorry.  suddenly got rly popular and idk why.  remind me of basset hounds but with blue eyes.

blanc de hotot:  absolute showstoppers.  the supermodel of rabbits.  why can’t i have any someone please give me a hotot i will pay lots of money

cinnamon:  really cool lookin rabbits but every feral in issaquah looks just like ‘em so either a cin breeder had an oopsie or they aren’t that rare

creme d’argent:  i’ve only seen ONE irl and it was like buttered toast.  i love them.  someone please breed them.

dutch:  the only rabbit allowed to be visibly VM (hotots are vm too but you can’t really tell.)  really cute little meat bricks.  the holstein of rabbits, in that when i think of a generic rabbit i think of a dutch.

dwarf hotot:  more popular than their commercial sized cousins and honestly it’s a RIGHT SHAME.

english angora:  that is a mop.  apparently betty chu is driving people out of the breed cos hers are all too good :’)  the one we have is bonkers and i don’t like him.

english lop:  hardly should be able to call themselves lops.  sure they got big ears (which i don’t like) but to me a lop should have a brick face and they don’t and it makes me sad.

english spot:  suuuper attractive animals, esp the goldens.  if i hated myself enough to get into a running breed i would go for english i think.

flemish giant:  BIG.  FRICKIN.  EARS.  my husband’s fav breed.  he likes the red ones.  i have three growing out in my yard rn and they’re so cute.

florida white:  for some reason they are becoming really popular with homesteaders?  but i have never seen one in real life.  really just kind of boring but apparently good for meats.

french angora:  i don’t like anything i have to groom

french lop:  BIG.  FLOPPY.  EARS.  BIG.  POTATO.  FACE.  truly the epitome of a lop.  can’t wait til i get mine.

havana:  very good little dudes.  husband likes the black ones.  i can only justify one or two itty bitty breeds so i don’t have any.

himalayan:  the stupidest looking animal i have ever laid eyes on and i love them so much.  they spark immense joy.  also very very sweet if my two are anything to go by.

holland lop:  oversaturated in both pet and show circles.  there’s just so many.  the holland rings take HOURS to get through at shows.  they are very cute but so far in general their personalities leave something to be desired.

jersey wooly:  i hear they’re little demons but other than that i don’t know much about em

lilac:  it’s a rabbit, but purple!  never seen one in person.

lionhead:  literally every byb pet rabbit is mixed with a lionhead.  my first rabbit was a lionhead and he’s evil so there’s that.

mini lop:  my first breeding rabbits were mini lops and they have a special place in my heart.  but i went with french over minis cos Big Chungus.

mini rex:  take a rex and make it small and able to produce peanuts.  5/10 not enough fur

mini satin:  i have only ever handled one and it was enough for me!  awful awful little creatures but very nice fur.

netherland dwarf:  disgOSTINgly cute but oversaturated and also dwarfs.  sorry.

new zealand:  yep that’s a rabbit

palomino:  it’s a rabbit but YELLOW.  apparently the breed joel salatin breeds but his are all vm-y and he THROWS AWAY THE FURS i hate it.  idk they’re cute i guess.

polish:  it’s small alright

rex:  supermodel of rabbits but wow is showing them the worst.  rex people think they’re better than everyone else and it’s very tiring.  so good for touching though.  pelts sell for good prices.

satin angora: we have one and i have no complaints except that it makes wool

silver: someone apparently breeds them around here and it’s neat that chestnut is a colour they come in considering every other silver breed is like NO AGOUTI ONLY SELF

silver fox:  this is the rabbit literally every homesteader has now and i don’t get it.  they’re pretty and big but what a waste of good pelts by raising them for meat only.  anyway they only come in one official colour (with the three general self colours in COD) so i find them boring otherwise.  i can’t tell ours apart at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

silver martin:  never seen one in person but they’re pretty.  silver fox ppl hate them cos they “don’t even have a real silvering gene.  they’re just chinchilla otters.”

standard chinchilla:  WHY DO WE HAVE THREE OF THESE

tan:  smaller than anticipated, but very pretty.  why don’t more breeds have this colour.  what even IS this colour.  is it related to otter?  IS it otter just without white?  i’m intrigued

thrianta:  photos really do not do that colour justice.  kinda boring cos they only come in red but boy is it RED.

velveteen lop:  technically still in COD but my opinion is the same as english lop.  i don’t like their faces or the ears, sorry.

Bruh yesterday he was acting so unpredictable. I literally was off to a good start with him bc we were talking and then next thing you know for the rest of the day he wasn’t talking to me like at alllll.

He barely would look at me, but if he did, it was because he couldn’t resist laughing/looking at me bc I said or did something funny. Then he would completely ignore me. I was soooo mad/upset/angry/frustrated!!!

He even made it a huge effort to say goodbye to every single person at my work except me when he was leaving! Like intentionally skipped me over! And obviously he knows I would notice that!

I had to pretend like I didn’t notice and it didn’t hurt my feelings but bruh that fricking hurted bc he said bye to them by name and everything, as if we don’t greet each other individually every morning.

Not anymore though! He stopped doing that like last week or the week before and things just are not the same. He still talks to me and gives me ~some~ attention, but it’s just different.

I don’t even expect him to greet me in the mornings anymore. He said before, “It’s tradition” but now he’s not even doing it at all!!?! 🙄 I don’t have time for these mind games bc he’s probably trying to hurt my feelings.

I know it’s intentional that he stopped doing the handshake. I just know it. I think he wants to have a power over me to make me feel attached and try harder for his attention, but I won’t do it.

He’s not even worth all this time thinking about, yet I can’t help how I feel. 🥺 I miss him when I’m not around him, every time I have to leave the room or when he leaves work or whenever I’m not with him basically.

I get so excited to see him at work. Even from afar, I can see when he wears his sleeved shirt and I literally get so excited to see him as he’s coming closer. But man, did I let it go so far!

Knowing damn well he’s playing games with meee. Ugh. Bc he was talking so much about other girls he finds cute yesterday. And I felt so awkward, I didn’t know how to respond.

Like it wasn’t necessarily involving me, it was with a group of people. I just happened to be in the room and I would overhear. But idk man, I think ppl are watching us hard lately and it’s freaking me out.

Bc yesterday I could see out of my peripheral my one coworker was looking at us when we were sitting next to each other!!! And then a different coworker said “aww, you guys go on break with each other?”

So I was like, “yeah we have the same break time, so I see him in the room.” To make it seem more platonic and not like we plan to see each other in our breaks, bc she was kind of making it seem like a “cute” thing.

I was trying to shut it down!! Sometimes I feel like a couple other coworkers think we’re always flirting with each other too bc of their reactions/looks when they’re there watching us interact.

Like, this one Team Lead literally said “awwww, brotherly-sisterly love.” As if she wanted to family-zone us bc she’s picking up on our flirting vibe? Like don’t make stuff weird. What was the purpose of that?!!!?!?

I myself have family-zoned him in front of people so they don’t assume anything either, but I think these coworkers aren’t buying it. Makes sense, but we just are how we are.

It’s on and off some days. Yesterday was an off day. I think bc he saw me talking to another male coworker and physical touch was involved and he got super jealous!?? First of all, nooo reason to be.

There’s no way I would ever be flirting with that much older of a coworker bc I’m not interested and he’s married with a kid! Plus, he knows that my dynamic with that coworker is like that so????

Anywho, he has expressed in very subtle ways how he gets jealous easily. Or, I would see it on his face how he reacts. Tbh, he’s only ever said it one time how he is jealous of something.

And it was because I gave one of my coworkers a nickname that was neat. Of course, he was also male. I reassured him that I would come up with a better nickname for him soon.

But going back to the situation yesterday where my coworker and I had a physical encounter, my coworker started it first and I just reacted! He pinched my shoulder, almost like he was gonna massage me.

So I proceed to say, “well, are you going to give me a massage?” And he actually did for a few seconds. And this probably was right in his line of sight, which probably made him even more angry.

If I recall, it was after this point where he started ignoring me or not giving me as much attention. And if that’s what he’s mad at, that’s so immature, especially bc I’m not his so I have no commitment to him.

Today has been generally decent for him and myself. We’re back on speaking terms, but the vibes are mostly neutral. He was lingering in my personal space for a bit and then when he realized, he pointed it out and went away.

I’ve had more one on one talks with him for today bc it’s a quieter day and not that busy, and I feel closer and connected to him. But he’s still not being very open with me when I speak to him individually.

Idk it’s like he’s probably still holding a grudge from yesterday and literally any time I talk to the particular male coworkers. That seems to be an insecurity of his that’s real bad

It’s been a really chill and nice day with him though. He’s wearing his long sleeves and he looks so good. I caught him looking at me one time. I also was sitting near him on my first break and he was talking to me a lot.

At the end of his shift, he said bye to me and fist bumped me, but he was so extra with everyone else saying bye. Like, he literally hugged one coworker. And with everyone else, he spent so much longer saying bye.

I felt both offended and relieved bc if he never said anything to me at all, then I really would’ve been upset bc that’ll have been two days in a row! And I would’ve been onto him. Bc Ik what he’s doing. So toxic.

But idk, we left off on the most neutral grounds and bc I got sick so last minute, I never got to say Merry Christmas to him! And I feel very upset about that bc I was looking forward to seeing him today!

Since I can’t go to work, I’m going to miss him sooo much. And I hope they have a good day without me. Hopefully they found someone to replace me so they’re not short staffed.

I really hope they also don’t think I was trying to get Christmas Eve off. Bc I texted my coworker who’s doing team lead that I’m sick and I don’t know if he believes me. He wished me good luck getting better though

Anywho, that’s literally 💀 so long.

Not sure if this is within the bounds of the prompt, but-- what first got you writing for the Ninjago fandom? (I know NOTHING about it, except they're lego ninjas and also some of them are robots or oni? but i'm interested in what about it got its hooks in you ^^)

SLDKFJS Lord if I can remember now bruh. I’ve always been in the habit the past idk five years?? of getting into fandoms  and making a sandbox out of it. Book of Life fandom really got me into writing fics again, talking with other fans about concepts and possibilities, so I tried a few one shots and then later made a chapter fic.

Skip to years later when the ninjago movie trailer comes out I decide I’d heard about the show before but never seen it, what better time to start yeah?

Despite all my pickiness and critical thinking with writing I’m actually fairly easily entertained. On the first go round especially it’s easy for me to leave all those hard thoughts at the door and just enjoy media for what it is. I took a couple of episodes but honestly? It’s a fun show. The humor is actually pretty funny at points, the characters are fun, and there’s like ? so many good CONCEPTS.

But, again, they’re great concepts, not always well executed. The timeline is a mess. There’s so much they present that has so much potential that they just? Never go for.

Whiiich I guess is why I have so much fun writing with it. My first real ninjago fic was a glacier shipping fic which was mostly started on the whim of “I’m going to write a cute fic where Cole teaches Zane to dance and Zane teaches Cole how to cook.” Cause I shipped them and why not. But, of course, I started working on it and ended up having the whole visiting the dad bit which just turned it into a 30k fic my bad.

I think a ton of writing inspo for me when it comes to fandoms is having people to chat about it with, and I have a bunch of friends now who love this show so? Makes it easy.

So yeah, TLDR is that it’s a pretty fun show with a lot of neat concepts and characters that I wanna see explored way more than what canon gives us so that’s what I do
