That last prompt possessed me:

"Playing?" Susurrus hissed, his voice filled with venom and grief. "Relieved? How dare you. How—" he reached out, grabbed the Tanta by her bejeweled throat, and with all his might slammed her into the wall. Decorated nails scrabbled against his arm, desperate and clawing in the face of his rage "—dare you! I did love her! Of course I loved her! I would raze this whole world to bedrock on the barest chance it could bring her back! How dare you insinuate otherwise!" Susurrus threw the Tanta to the ground, heard the sickening crunch as the bones in her arm snapped from the impact. The Tanta cried out as much in pain as in fear, scrambled across the floor away from him as fast as she could. Susurrus did not follow. "You weren't made to love," the Tanta spat. "You're not capable of it." "I was not made for mercy, either. It's only to honor her that I grant it to you now."

Theories you say?

WELL!!! basically i tend to be a “BOTH meta knight and kirby were nightmare’s creations” believer lol. i like to imagine nightmare wanted to create the most powerful monster, so he made meta knight in the image of a puffball (since they were the most prominent star warriors/biggest threat to him) to specifically fit in and join their ranks to destroy them from the inside. but meta knight was too intelligent and developed a sense of morality of his own. he rebelled, and so nightmare created kirby using meta knight’s DNA, to surpass his old design and be the better, more improved version of the “most powerful monster”. meta knight caught wind of this and foiled him again, sending kirby to deep space to awaken as a star warrior when the time is right.

i just think it’s a bit odd how meta knight seemed to be expecting kirby on pop star. mentioning he knows “everything, or perhaps nothing” about kirby is also kind of an unusual thing to say. in one way he knows things about kirby because kirby was made from him. in another way he DOESN'T know things about kirby because kirby was created with more unusual, all-encompassing abilities than him. plus idk, they have the same kind of starship lol. like who put kirby in that starship??

obviously monsters have a main goal of destroying kirby (i guess mostly because dedede orders them), but there are some episodes where nightmare/customer service recognize BOTH kirby and meta knight as threats that must be eliminated. it kind of mega sucks for nightmare that his escaped creation landed on the same planet as his traitorous creation and now they’re working together, but he's also mega lucky kirby awoke too young. a bit of tit for tat lol.

though to be completely honest i mostly just like this concept because in the same way you could say nightmare was mk’s father, you could say mk is kirby’s father. i'm sure there are definitely plotholes with this theory but i still enjoy it, even just as an AU lol.

hi! I actually haven't read Wren & Oak's books (don't feel bad; I haven't tried to avoid spoilers so this isn't a big deal). because of that, I really don't know their characters and can't speak much to this, even though I'm familiar-ish with the circumstances around it

my stab in the dark answer: it does seem like a fairly terrible thing to do, but I could also see it being some kind of commentary on suffering and power (when you've been hurt in a very specific way, it might feel empowering to be the one inflicting that same hurt on someone else—but in doing so, you become the monster you fear). but that's all from an outside perspective. others who've read the book are welcome to share their thoughts here if they want!

she is a soft spoken sorceress who is from a nomadic people with a bad reputation for their namesake - Albedo. She has an interest in the dark/occult and uses hexes, but as a result, she's very open-minded.

me after making a character (villain) that does so many bad things but as deliberate choices that conflict with their morals which is still bad regardless of guilt they may feel. and at the same time she's not "intrinsically evil," nor do they enjoy it in any way. and also they come across neurodivergent, and i don't want THOSE traits to be demonised. and they do still have lines they won't cross which is interesting compared to other characters but they are very very awful still and state this themself: hm i think. i think i did a little more nuance than i needed to here. i'm sure i won't mess that up and people will read things as intended and in good faith :)

not me thinking about playing snowrunner again... maybe bc i just wanna buy myself a xmas present in the form of that year 2 pass or whatever it was. plus, i have plenty of time today except was i not posting the next chapter of superpowers fic lol 

but yeah i kinda wanna do more on the first michigan map and maybe the second... like, did what i’d done before when i... acquired the game via other means to try it out to see if i liked it. and then i bought it!! but yeah. plus, if i get the year 2 pass, i can check out new maps... last i checked i didn’t really like any of the new scouts though... i like my yar 87 :3

alternative self-bought xmas present would be buying some sims 4 packs grrrr i really want the paranormal pack, the werewolf pack and the dream home decorator pack, but they haven’t gone down to 50% off yet

(and then after xmas i plan on getting lots of things for the car if the sales are good, like the ERP thing, sound deadening, garmin overlander, another pair of maxtrax, a dashcam, maaaaaybe a roof rack, and i should work out the air compressor shit and get a tyre repair kit. yep!! that’s kinda a list in terms of priority/what will be done next/soon.)
