the implications that is archbishop d'amboise quoting a bible scripture about what love is "love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up....does not behave rudely, does not seek its own. is not provoked. thinks no evil. does not rejoice in inequity but rejoices in truth. bares all things. hopes all things. endures all things." and then cesare quoting only parts of it in the very next scene "love suffers long, and is kind. love envies not" something something about what cesare feels for lucrezia being not love perhaps?? also the "endures all things" and then in the end lucrezia's romantic love for cesare does not endure the murder of her second husband?!??? *screams*
