met up with a friend yesterday after not seeing each other irl for 4+ years and one of the first things she tells me is that she found me on twitter and saw all my stuff i am MORTIFIED

so! we got assigned new groups in my physics lab today and i normally despise lab (it's hard to finish in time, it's confusing, and a lot of the time my group ignores me. or i slow everyone down) but the group i got today was so wonderful. like by all estimates it should have been even worse than normal- it was really hard, i submitted my work literally at the last available minute, and the first lab with a new group is always awkward- but for some reason, we were just in sync. especially the girl i was sat next to, like i didn't even get her name until an hour in, but it felt like we were already friends, sharing the lab manual and calculator, checking eachother's work. normally when i have questions in lab everyone's kind of annoyed, but she was so nice and helpful, and i was able to help her with stuff too and it was just really great. we even had a moment where we said the same thing at the same time, looked at eachother, and burst out laughing. i legitimately had fun. and it was so comfortable. like lowkey, we were in eachother's space but it just felt normal. and i didn't feel like i had to be quieter or more restrained like i do pretty much all time with new people, and even a lot of the time with people i've known for a while. it is just. so so soooo rare that i feel that level of safety around someone i've just met, and honestly, it was just really lovely. all this to say- the class that i normally dread all week made my day, left me literally skipping out of the physics hall, and i am determined that i am actually actually going to try to stay in touch with this person once we switch lab groups again. and i'm putting this here because maybe it will somehow make me more sure that i'll ask for her number or something. and so that i can describe it concretely, because it really was just such a lovely lovely lovely time.

Hey Konnie, I'm going to share my success story with you.

So, for context, I've known about the void for I think over a year and I've been in the LOA community since I was 8. I've also had the most disgusting life all around especially when it came to my spiritual life but that's not important right now.

I've always been lazy when it came to the void, like on one hand I was like "Finally a method that guarantees success no matter what" but on the other hand I was like "Ugh, this is too much I don't feel like doing this right now" and kept making excuses. Because I knew about waking up in the Void State I'd go to bed and just fall asleep after listening to subliminals and affirming thinking that was going to do anything for ME personally. (P.S. just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you.) I did this for MONTHS and kept wondering why it wasn't working. Like I knew I was lazy but I just really couldn't bother at all...until recently.

I decided that I wanted to change and that I'd go back to the basics of the Void. I switched out the subliminals that I used before and created a fresh playlist. Then, two weeks ago I randomly decided to just "meditate" into the void. So, I just laid down, stayed still and RELAXED. I didn't even think about the Void, my attention was to simply relax and be. Eventually, I did relax to the point my body went slightly numb so I took it as a sign to start affirming for the Void. The affirmations I used are "I am" and "I am void". I started experiencing soooooooo many symptoms such as the floaty feeling, losing my senses, the darkness behind the eyes getting darker (I wanted my void to be pitch black hence why it got dark) also that really weird eye fluttery thing idk what that is called but yeah I had that too. I was literally spinning and my heart was about to jump out of my chest istg BUT I focused on my breathing and my affirmations.

Then the weirdest thing happened. Now, mind you, I've NEVER gotten this close to entering the Void IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. But I kid you not, I felt myself literally DETACH from my body, well I more felt it in my face/head because I couldn't feel my body but you get the point. Like I felt HOLLOW like WHAT. I was internally screaming and I started to smile because I was like "I'm finally entering the void after how long now." Buttttttt when I was literally five seconds away from entering the Void completely my lovely father came in the room to ask me something so I OBVIOUSLY snapped out. (Still salty btw) But I can tell you that I was 90% in the Void and they weren't lying about feeling pure bliss and happiness and feeling calm as well as being one with yourself because I felt it too. And when I "got out" I felt SO SMUG cause I was like, I finally figured out what method works best for me AND I know when and how to do it.

So, my directions in case you want to try it out.

Go to bed around 30 minutes - 1 hour earlier. Or do it when you're going to take a nap, but it works best for me at night. Also, make sure your eyes are like slightly burning, not ask why just trust me. but not to the point it's watering just enough to make sure you're a little sleepy and will make you relax easier because I find that works best.

2. Then, relax your body and allow all thoughts to float by, don't pay any attention to it. Also, focus on your breathing. (You can do breathing techniques but I just went with a slow but natural pace of breathing, for me of course)

3. ANY SYMPTOMS IGNORE THEM ALL!! It may be hard but honestly, it's kind of like ignoring someone when they talk shit- bad example but you knowww. Just focus on breathing and affirmations here.

4. Make sure to affirm when you are ready, trust me you will know because it'll be like a gut feeling. Or when you feel really relaxed like you're in a tropical paradise or something just start to affirm. Also, I would imagine things that I'd be doing in my hr (home reality) because affirming is kinda boring after a while so I interchanged them.

And that's about it, I think the important thing to take away here is to do what works FOR YOU. If you know that this method doesn't work for you but you saw it works for me, that is not an invitation to change your method. Also, remember always that the void IS YOU, it will not exist without you so don't put it on a pedestal. You got this always and have fun living your dream life. You were born a master of the void so no excuses.

Also that new subliminal that you made is LITERALLY the only sub I use now and it's BOMB. But I obviously linked my playlist bc I used to use it.

ngl I hate the isekai trope so much because it has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. But ppl only write 'y/n gets Isekaid into (anime), but their only personality is quoting decade-old vines and misusing AAVE.' I want isekai but with spice.

I had this idea of making an isekai fanfic where the reader gets this McGuffin (given by dead grandma or whatever) that transports the reader to a different dimension- where cursed energy exists. Satoru is the only one who can see the reader (cuz six eyes) and reader becomes his guardian angel. The MC will appear anytime Satoru is in danger (either from another poisoning attempt or assassination attempt) and then will return to her own dimension. Slowly, Satoru develops this obsession with his guardian angel and tries to figure out a way to make his guardian angel stay with him forever. I've debated on writing it a couple of times but I doubt I will lol.

idk i just want interesting isekai. Oh! there was actually this amazing isekai with the AOT universe. Basically, the mc was transported into the aot universe but actually went through the trauma a soldier fighting titans would face. Eventually, she dies and is transported back to her own universe and she assumes everything was a horrible dream (even though she has ptsd from her time in that universe). Just when she starts getting herself back together, characters from the AOT universe start appearing in her own universe and its clear not all of them have forgiven her for something she did (that hasn’t been revealed yet) ughhh it was so good but the AUTHOR DELETED IT.

take your shoes off. mhin doesn't really think to keep spare slippers for guests because... why would they have guests. but depending on your relationship + friendships, you keep a basket near the door with some pairs!

likes curtains more than blinds. might not realize this or realize how picky they can be until they're out shopping for them though...

they might not have a neat, organized list of your favourite places and foods for dinner (yet), but i imagine mhin would have specific things written down on a sticky note somewhere. the cursive is a little messy, but they wanted to write it down before they forgot!

you don't invest in a big dining table or anything, more inclined to sit in the living room with guests if there are any. but you guys do eat together! maybe there's a small table in the kitchen by a window, and even though it doesn't really matter which of the two seats you pick, mhin has a habit of giving you the side that isn't hit directly by the sun when they sit down first

if it's a smaller apartment and you don't really have space for a table, they'll still give you your preferred spot wherever you do sit

schedules! a calendar with events and chores, having a specific show you watch together every night/week. it keeps things easier to manage and gives you something to look forward to!

you fall asleep on the couch in the afternoon and wake up to a blanket covering you and your show paused on the television screen. they tell you they don't know how much you missed while you were asleep, but they paused as soon as they found you

!! mhin teaching you how to cook their favourite meals and you teaching them ^^ they're also willing to learn with you, if you don't know how to cook them. they're patient with you and quick to learn. (not saying they don't tease you, but they're not super mean or anything.) in the next couple of times they're in charge of dinner, they try their hand at cooking your favourite meal again and blush a little when you shower them with thanks and compliments

they lean toward basic shirts/clothes, trying to avoid brand logos or big designs. but if you give them a shirt with a silly fun design, they do wear it around the house, and maybe for late night snack runs.

! them coming home and immediately looking for you after a long day... they aren't one to flop onto the bed/couch without at least changing clothes, but as soon as they're ready they climb in wherever you are.... it's like a cat picking your lap to nap on. you open your arms and let them rest their head against your shoulder/chest, and feel them let out a deep breath before nuzzling closer

mhin being home, in a good mood, smiling softly as you greet them!! GRAAAHHH!!! they tell you they've got the laundry running and finally bought more conditioner as they put your jacket away for you

little plushies.... if you're a big collector, they help you find a place for all of them. if you get them one, mhin holds it near and dear. you can tell because they hug it while working sometimes, or smooth out its fur, or accept little outfits/accessories you get for it, and they keep it somewhere safe and easily found. yeah.

pulling mhin to do a cliché slow dance in the kitchen or living room. the first time it happens, they're stiff until you (purposely) sing along badly to whatever's playing, or hesitate with where to put your hands/how to move. then they snort and guide you, smiling as you keep singing and forget the words. if you do it semi-regularly, they learn to expect it by the way you stand in front of them with a smile.

hmmm.... giving me slight garden/plant vibes but not super big, unless that's something you enjoy yourself. they might have a couple plants here and there they take care of!

decorating for the holidays!! gaahhh.. i think they'd actually enjoy it quite a bit... or at least the finished product! ^^ like with the curtains v blinds, they end up realizing they're more picky than they thought when you're shopping. they don't go All Out, but a few decorations have never hurt anybody.

i think they'd like having separate bedrooms just to have them. like, you're welcome to sleep in their room and vice versa, but it's nice to have your own space if you need it y'know

i talked about this on twitter but i really... don't understand the way people have been so - for lack of a better word - "bristly" about firefly being the trailblazer's romantic interest. i strongly suspect that this would not be a source of so much complaint if she had feelings for any other character in the cast, and that tells me that the fandom is seriously misunderstanding the nature of the trailblazer's character. they're not a player insert. they have feelings, thoughts, and a relationship to the world and other characters around them completely independent of the player. just because you have the option to name them at the beginning doesn't mean they aren't their own character, and that giving them a love interest is anything more than standard relationship development

obviously there are those who will never accept this and will thus make the whole thing weird but we can just let them be weird in their own little corners. and i knowww about the leaks for that... mmd thing hyv commissioned that's like, a gag video of firefly fighting other girls to win the trailblazer's affections or whatever it was, so that audience is being catered to a little bit, but did you really expect hoyoverse to pass up an opportunity to squeeze money out of every possible avenue...? (they do this fanservice shit all the time come on guys) Scratches Head. maybe it's just me, but i kind of don't caare about occasional promotional gag materials - so long as it doesn't bleed into the actual game and story and characters. which like, it hasn't. for the record.

i think it's fine for the writers to focus on firefly's relationship with the trailblazer even though it seems silly and mundane and trivial in light of all the things like... glamoth's cavalry, the genetic engineering and experimentation, the swarm, the mystery of the stellaron hunters, etc... in fact, i think it's fine ESPECIALLY because it seems silly and mundane and trivial. a major aspect of firefly's character is that she just wants to be a normal person. with normal, average, pointless-in-the-grand-scheme of things concerns. like having a crush on her new (?) friend. she is more than a weapon. she exists beyond the SAM suit. she wants a life that she chose for herself.

i seriously don't know what you guys are talking about because i actually think they've done a fine job of balancing the juxtapositions of her character. her past has its time and place, her budding philosophies and questions about herself have their time and place, and her (probable) feelings for the trailblazer have their time and place. again maybe if the concept of the trailblazer being a player insert held any water there would be more of a point to be had here. but they're not, sooooo there isn't

and y'know. i don't think we have the right to say that the progression of their relationship has been "rushed" given the trailblazer has an entire past life with the stellaron hunters that we don't know about yet. "rushed" - or maybe they're just picking things up from where they left off? and sometimes people just click together like that, so either way it felt fine for me. maybe I would have liked more time with firefly before the sleepie incident occurred so I get more emotional impact out of it, but my feelings =/= the trailblazer's. because they are not a player insert. they do not reflect my will 1:1. their attachment to firefly is solely their own. THEIR attachment to her is what ultimately invoked an emotional reaction out of me and sparked my own attachment to her, actually. it was their shock, horror, and GRIEF that got me

'Made a small post a few months ago about Toki's death curse thingy and I wanted to talk about it more. I don't like the idea the rest of the band gets to live even though they're being radiated by love because they're immune to it somehow (prolly 'cuz of prophecy stuff idk).
