Ideon is a diamond in the rough in such an odd way I can't help but have some fondness for it. You've got genuinely modern warfare in the form of nuclear disarmament fears, asymmetrical power, etc as well as the more social side of the coin: xenophobia and anti-terrorism as violent epistemologies that serve only as tools of the status quo; drawing, and in so forming deadly political barriers between living beings despite our fundamental similarities if not biologically then in our shared Freudian nature as referenced by the titular anthropomorphized, all powerful Id. Then Gije walks out in his dumb outfit to fight cartoon trucks in space. And loses! 💜

based on this and in retrospect its kind of a weird thing to do. why not just make a psycho gm? but the art gave me the idea of a more plausible unit, a custom painted gigantic arms unit with a customized gm core.
