he hasn’t been incapacitated -- not recently, not since the beginning of his assignment. there would have been no reason for cyberlife to upload his memories into a new android to send out and replace him. rk800 knows this. so why is he staring at himself -- and how much does this version of him know?

if this one, this model, has the same memories, then the nuances that rk800 has picked up from the humans won’t work. but if the other model is still new, or is a previous version, they might. it’s frustratingly difficult to tell, to analyze oneself from a distance, to not have the necessary information to calculate answers, to determine a correct path. he’ll have to tread carefully -- if it turns out this connor doesn’t know, then rk800 can’t risk giving anything away.

     every conversation they’ve had, for as little as they’ve had, starts with his name. he likes it that way, he’s a fan of proper nouns. 

     it’s pouring down on jericho, but traci seems pleasantly damp, happily sodden. rain-drop tears make him SHINY. they pool in his open palms, like a child he’s fascinated by them. and the storm-clouds, which are grey and groggy and equally as pretty. he nearly forgets that he started talking. ❛ i’ve never been allowed outside before. ❜ not me, this me. ❛ we were rented for house visits, but it was always work. ❜ traci’s intense habit, of meeting eyes and holding them for long, unwavered moments puts them in a stare DEAD-LOCK. smiles all the while. ❛ it’s...great. ❜ the lights are duller, warm hued, but they flicker like his home did, and there are people━ lots of them, androids━ so he feels safe in the crowd that’s like HIM. even if they’re not all built for bedsides. ❛ it’s better here. ❜
