i’m sure most ppl expected this so i’m not gonna make a big deal out of it but!! yes i am going on hiatus for an unspecified amount of time.

it’s honestly quite simple, i’ve just been losing interest in most aspects of kpop aside from the music, which makes writing for it a lot harder than before. i also dealt with a lot of burn out for months and still forced myself to write which only made it worse. lastly, i’m an executive of two clubs at my school this year on top of all my classes, so finding time to write would be even worse than it was before :’) !

He wasn't strong, he wasn't kind, he wasn't even cool when he was human. Literally a pathetic wet cat hissing in the rain. And I just love how he has always been a bitch, how Riot didn't try to give him a sympathetic backstory, he had always been a bastard (like yes he was kinda "bullied" by his order, but he was casted out because his personality was insufferable in the first place and because he was a peasant too me think. I think he could have turned way less worse if Helia's order weren't bitches but point is they just watered the seeds that were already there and that fuckass magic book did too) And I've got a whole thing about how his extreme sadism Has evolved with his condition.

Sexuality Headcanon: Lesbian! Nothing too deep about it

Gender Headcanon: I don’t really have one? I generally default to thinking of her as a cis ally but I vibe with her being trans too.

A ship I have with said character: Skygar <3. Their team up went hard idc. Also I don’t really think about it much but her and Leonard is cute

A BROTP I have with said character: Not really a friendship but I think the alliance she offered to Shawn would’ve been interesting if he agreed. Her laughing at Max is funny also.

A NOTP I have with said character: Sometimes people would talk about her and Owen and it’s so. side eye

A random headcanon: With her making it far in Pahkitew, Sugar was offered more role in tv and commercials. Which let her eventually go to veterinary school, like how she wanted if she won the million.

General Opinion over said character: Sugar suffers from Pahkitew’s weaker writing a lot of the time, but I still really enjoy her. Her huge personality makes her a standout even in the season of zany characters. Plus I find her rather interesting, with her history in exploitive child beauty pageants resulting in her underhanded and competitive attitude and her lack of trust in others around. If Pahkitew theoretically somehow had a second season, she’d be the number one character I’d have wanted to see expanded on.

Heather!

Sexuality Headcanon: Unlabeled! I think Heather struggled to accept she was queer for a long time, in part because no label felt “like her”. Finding out she didn’t have to fit into any particular box made it easier for her to understand herself.

Gender Headcanon: Transmasc. I have. many thoughts about this hc that I should save for it’s own post. But I first thought of it when I started to read the line “I’m the good guy?” as equating to gender euphoria and Heather being tied to being labeled a villain as she is to being labeled a girl.

A ship I have with said character: Ah Sceather, the crackship made as an inside joke that I turned unironic and I am obsessed with. Outside of that, Aleheather is so good. Genuinely just a fantastic canon ship and the backbone of World Tour. I also really really like Gweather and H-bombs.

A BROTP I have with said character: Her and Harold again! They work super well together both platonically and romantically to me.

A NOTP I have with said character: Uhh, I guess I’m not a fan of her and Courtney? Not in the sense I hate it I am just incredibly indifferent to it. Shearing sheeps pops off tho

A random headcanon: I hc they work as a union negotiator in adulthood! Based on that scene in action about her knowing union rules and wanting to organize against Chris

General Opinion over said character: Heather <3. A favorite character easily and forever. I’m obsessed with her. I think she’s under appreciated in Island. She’s not very complex but she brings such an energy that almost all of her scenes are entertaining. Also season one would be impossibly dull without her srry </3. She’s so good in the Island special where her confidence is totally shattered. In Action not only do we see her at her most pathetic /pos but also at some of her funniest. I love you bald Heather <3. In World Tour, well, what can I even say that someone else hasn’t. She’s at her peak, she’s funny, she’s completely hated but manages to scrap her way to finale, and she’s the best winner of any gen 1 season by a mile. Her history of unpopularity and horrible parents and being rejected by everyone around her it just- I love her. Heather sweep.

here's a little hogwarts x hetalia idea i was working on to entertain myself the other day

So the premise was that, y'know how in HP there's dragons and a couple are Scandinavian? Norweigen Eidgeback, Sweedish Shoetsnout. And Denmark has a magical government. Finland the personification also probably has some magic because of the whole santa thing, and just becuase tou can't see norway's trolls doesn't mean you don't know Hp magic cuz even muggles can see that stuff. So let's assume countries could see HP magic, just not always do it themselves. And i would hope they know about their magical governmwnts except maybe America who is in denial. Actually maybe Germany doesn't know either but you canMt tell me the Nordics don't know about theirs, not when Norway is right there and Iceland literally has A TALKING BIRD and can probably dk magic if he wanted to and Sweden is up in the air (i like the headcanon he's very much in need of a new glasses prescription) but i want to say he does because finland + isn't durnatrang somewhere up there and potentially in Sweden? And Denmark, well he's besties with Norway sooooo

also you can't tell me they didn't know for 1000 years like c'mon. Older countries def know about magic and younger countries are like modern people, they don't believe it unless it's smack in their face. Can't tell me HTTYD came out of nowhere either and is based on VIKINGS-

anyways lets say this is set like 2000s after stuff dies down

so i had this little picture where the nordics got really bored and what did they do? Hey look, a dragon! Let's ride it!

iceland thinks it's a bad idea but nation power = animals galore so anyways now Norway and Swedenband suprirsingly Denmark are being menaces on dragons. Finland is filmin but soon joins Sweden on his Sweedish Shortsnout. Iceland will keep his feet on the ground thank you very much he does not like flying, when his whole thing is boats and water and fishing.

well before he knows it, the Nordics have a new paatime: professional dragon riding. And professional HTTYD-type fighting. Cuz wizards love old stuff like that.

anyways at some point they end up at hogwarts and oh joy this is fine. Iceland just has to talk to each year, because five days = mornings + afternoons = ten slots for this little guest series and if they give years 1-7 one of those slots each and then some extra time for the COMC class and then pne more day for doing whatever like demos or stuff or in case of a delay, it works out peefectly! Iceland as the one not riding gets deemed "the lresenter" but its fine he leads tours of his home all the time anyways being in tourism buisness.

and anyways they're using Norway's usual ruse of "my name is Lukas Bondevik, heir of the Ancient House lf Bondevik" and Sweden pulls out his "my laat name is Oxenstierna" card whoch Denmark stares and gapes at. While sweden snickers, and Iceland just triesbto figure out s family tree to explain that one because seriously you guys one day the public will realize something's up idc if the both governments muggle and matic said it's fine-

anyways he always starts his spiel to the children with with "don't try this at home dragons are DANGEEROUS, yes rhe hirncolor is natural, and for the older ones "no i am taken i am not single" (he's refering to having a life partner in a bird as his one truest friend btw)

and iceland is just kinda done by the end lf it, cuz he's on the ground and the nordics are showing off more and more and finally on the laat day after telling everyone he doesnt fly for pwrsonal reaskns he loses it at Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland teasing him and oop now he's flying and the others are scrambling a little because it's Iceland that knows things the wizards want to know, and Denmark is trying to keep it together while Norway takes pics and Sweden is flying because kh gosh iceland gkt on NORWAY's dragon and Finland is laughing. Hogwarts is amazed the 17 year. Old can also fly but also omfg-

Yeah, I don't disagree that the podcast is unfortunately very boring and that they're really not doing a great job with it, I just don't think it's worth getting upset over. At this point I think it's clear that they're not going to start putting any more effort into it, if anything it's only going to get sloppier as they get more and more bored by it. Of course it's up to you to weigh the few interesting moments vs how much it annoys you. Personally I stopped listening to the guest episodes (which was the only thing I used to find interesting before) because I really don't care about random musical artists who had a song featured on Glee. Still listening to recaps so far, but then I just find those simply boring, but personally I'm not bothered by their opinions and preferences. Like idk idc, let them like what they want to like! I really don't think it would be worth it to me to keep listening if I was constantly annoyed on top of being bored. I will say though, the one time I rolled my eyes hard was when they called When I Get You Alone the cringiest moment on the show that far - which hey, whatever, would be an opinion I could accept even if I disagreed with it - but not in an episode that LITERALLY featured My Funny Valentine. That's just a whole other level of delusion, babes.

I still listen to the guest episode. Even if I don't care about or don't know the guests, they still better/more interesting/entertaining than the recap episodes. I hope they will get guests that worked for Glee again.

I get that they care more about the stuff they did or the stuff their friends did and talk more about that, but they shouldn't ignore some storylines completely. I want the little bts stories again which made the podcast interesting.

I don't care that they have a different opinion on the best song. How will you decide what's the best? But it's weird that they almost every time choose their own stuff.

The discussions on tumblr around the episodes are more entertaining than the recap episodes. Maybe I sound more annoyed than I am. The most annoying part of the recap episodes for me is them complaining a lot.

hello there!^^ at first I thought about splitting this post up into 2 parts because usually the ‘as your boyfriend hcs’ are a bit longer but I decided against it so enjoy~ (also atsumus and oikawas are a bit longer because they are my faves and uuuh I am weak lol)

Nishinoya Yuu:

one of the most energetic and happiest boyfriends!!

Will literally love and cherish you until you die and probably even after that, I’m being serious his love and affection for you have no end

though in the beginning of your relationship, or even before it, he always gets very shy around you which is unusual for him. That’s how he knows you’re special to him, because you make him doscover a whole new side of him!

The secret admirer type of crush, everyday you’ll find a new small present waiting on your desk. Your favorite drink, a snack, a small cute note, a new pen when he noticed your old one didn’t work anymore, a small bunch of flowers... It’s just so cute!

But it takes forever until he actually asks you out. In reality, it happens a lot different than he imagined. Normally he made sure he was in school waaayyy before you, but that one day he overslept and was in class just a few minutes before you. or so he thought. You just walked in the moment he placed the small package of milk on your desk and you both just stare at each other for several minutes and he’s about to faint until Tanaka saves him and gets him out of class because “he might develop a fever, his face is all red and sweaty”

2 days or so you don’t hear anything from him, until he manages to get over himself and ask you out in the tiniest voice. He has to repeat himself several times until you understand him properly because the poor boy was so nervous he spoke too fast and too quietly

BUT AFTER he finally gets you to be his he’s just the smiliest baby!!

Always wants you to be on his side, like at practice and such. You can be guaranteed to be found at every single game that Karasuno ever has again, even practice games. You’re always there cheering for him and he’s at his 150% every time! The team loves his energy on the field but it’s a biot exhausting everywhere else :’)

ANWAYS definitely a lot of activity dates! I’m not saying that he would say no to a good old cuddle session, but he’s just always bouncing around, so going to the arcade or comign up with fun games at the park is normally what you do after school and practice!

Tanaka is the accepted third-wheel of your relationship. Whenever your over sat Noya’s he ends up showing up, too a lot of times or he joins in on fun dates, but it’s never uncomfortable or weird. You two actually become really good buddies and he always tells you funny stories about Noya! Also him and Kiyoko and you two go on double dates and it’s!! So cute!!

Did I mention that Noya is the king of skinship and PDA?? He really couldn’t care less who’s around you or who might be watching, his eyes are always on you and his hand somehow magically finds his way to your ass lol

No but on a serious note he just can’t live without you and sometimes he can get really anxious if he doesn’t find you in a crowd or your hands don’t intertwine immediately when he reaches for you. He can’t explain it, it just doesn’t feel good about it when you’re not around him.

Protective!! WILL jump on anyone that looks at you the wrong way or makes you feel uncomfortable. he 100% has Tanaka’s support for this.

When I tell you he did NOT know what he was doing when he asked you out. Just listened to Akaashi’s and Kuroo’s advice and it somehow worked out for him. Several months into the relationship he’s still not entirely sure how he got you, but he doesn’t complain

(psssht, it was his clumsy charm mixed with some kind of natural charisma that got you, but don’t tell him that he will not shut up about it)

When he first saw you he was at practice and he couldn’t help but stare because how can a real human being be so pretty?? and he actually missed a ball, got it slammed to his head and well what can I say? You almost got him passed out the first time he saw you

He got soooo embarrassed afterwards help the poor boy. The brightest blush ever appeared on his cheeks and ears and his hair immediately went emo mode straight down hanging into his face

The whole situation was so chaotic and messy you couldn’t help but turn around and look for the source of all this trouble, just to find the silver-haired boy staring right at you and hitting you someplace special in your chest, literally taking you aback

Afterwards the coach scolds him for being inattentive and you leave the gym in a hurry, because you as well are embarrassed. But it doesn’t take long until Akaashi gets send to get your number and you can’t help but giggle as he tells you about how Bokuto literally won’t stop whining about you being the prettiest human being on earth

That’s how you started texting and bokuto might just be one of the most random texters (is that even a word??) ever. Like yeah, in the beginning he’ll mainly talk about volleyball and send you sweaty pics of him (no, not these ones!) but then again you’ll get a text at 3am on a thursday and it will be like a really bad picture taken of the moon and it will say like “thought about you” and in the next message 3 seconds later he’ll talk about wanting to be a werewolf or so. And you have to laugh so hard you can’t even be mad at him for waking you up

And that’s basically how you’re relationship works, too. A lot of random texts, especially “come over?” ones or “watch me at practice! please???” and you can’t ever get yourself to say no to him, because he’s always so happy when you show up!

Ngl it kinda distracts him too, but he’s in ace mode when you watch him because he feels the need to impress you even when you tell him there’s no need for him to because you’re already impressed by him

Loves hugs! Hugs after a victory or a defeat, hugs after school and practice and hugs as greetings and goodbyes... Just hugs, so he can entirely engulf you in his big and strong arms and you basically vanish somewhere between his arms. Loves pressing you close in the whole process of it, so close that you can barely breathe for a second, but you actually love it because it just shows his love and affection

9/10 times you’re also the cure to his emo mode. Just very rarely even you can’t help him and it’s upon himself to get over it, but with your presence near him and the opportunity to cuddle onto you while reflecting about himself, he’ll get over it eventually

He’s also the biggest cuddler there could possibly be. most of your dates are stay-inside ones because most of the times he’s exhausted from practice and games, so a chill night in with a good movie or series and some nice snacks really do it for him. He can just cuddle onto you however he likes and he especially likes brushing his fingers over your warm, soft skin. It makes him feel very at ease.

Yeah so that’s about it C: Please just love this smol bean to no end, because his love sure as hell also has no limit

Oikawa Tooru:

People might think he’d be very blunt and cocky and all when he has a crush, but I’m telling you - he’s actually the softest boy ever and prefers to keep his distance at fir4st to observe and understand his feelings for you

So what I’m saying is: As soon as he realizes what exactly his feelings are for you, he gets a bit shy and distant but blushes whenever he sees you

At first he thought you were just one of his obsessed fans and he didn’t think much of it, but then his gaze always wandered over to you, no matter if it was during a game or a practice or at school or when he saw you somewhere else... It was like you were haunting him, in like the best possible way, as he soon realized

It takes him forever to get himself to talk to you, because he wants everything to be perfect. He chooses to approach you in school when he found you alone that one day, but oh well, it totally didn’t go as planned. His glasses fell off his nose when he was trying to be smooth, he hopelessly stumbles across his words and his face got so red you thought you were talking to a tomato. Still, it kinda did something to you. You found it endearing, really. So you could just smile and nod when he asked you to got out with him and the biggest sigh of relief ever™ leaves his lips

He’s still hecka nervous for your first date, asks all his friends and team mates about their opinion on what he should wear and do, where should he take you etc... It takes him so long to decide that you just take it in hand and suggest something and he just rolls with it and turns out to be one of his favorite dates ever. A day at the park, though halfway through it got messy because it started raining and neither of you were prepared, so you had to run and share his jacket to go someplace dry and you end up in a library and neither of you can hold in the giggles when the librarians tell you to “tone it down.” It’s also your first kiss between seemingly endless rows of old books and your hearts flutter like crazy afterwards and you’re just speechless because... OIKAWA IS A GREAT KISSER idc what any of y’all think

so it just becomes a regular thing for him to pull you aside in the gym hall or school halls or whatever and kiss you senseless for his entertainment because your reaction is always 10/10

He may act smooth around others, presenting himself as the cool confident boyfriend, but really... He’s just the softest boy for you and a hopeless romantic on top.

Play with his hair and he will never leave your side ever again. The cutest pink hue will spread on his cheeks the first time you do it and with time you learn more about his soft spots, like brushing your lips or fingertips over his neck or the ticklish feeling he gets when you touch his waist.

Loves to pick out movies and series for you to watch. Most of them are alien or conspiracy theory-themes but you don’t mind, Oikawa is happiest when he can connect several things he loves, like you and aliens, or you and volleyball.

You’re also gonna have to accept the fact that he spends a lot of time on volleyball and that he will come home late and not always have time for you on the weekends. He will, however, especially love it when you work your way through his schedules to meet him, like when you come to watch and support him at practice. He will take extra breaks to pull you close and calm himself down in your arms.

Iwaizumi will definitely become one of your closest friends and you’ll both spend time shit talking about Tooru (ofc in a loving way) and Oikawa can’t help but smile seeing as you get close to his best friend~

He’s not exactly the most jealous type of boyfriend. He does trust you a lot and just makes sure that everybody always knows he’s your boyfriend. Trusts you with handling certain situations, though he will keep an eagle eye on strange boys and men near you and won’t lose no time chiming in when he feels like it to safe you

Of course there’s a big decrease in the numbers of his fangirls after everyone finds out you two are official, but Oikawa actually prefers it this way. As long as you are cheering for him, nothing will be able to stop him.

The bestest and softest boyfriend, not to be dramatic but I’d die for him

Miya Atsumu:

Okay now this one is actually smooth. Or so he thinks.

He’s quite obvious about his crush and feelings for you, so like he won’t hide it and use every possible opportunity to talk to you and flirt with you. And when I say flirt I mean he will use every bad pickup line you have ever heard somewhere

At first you’re really really turned off by it, but you do give him credits for being so determined and never giving up. He even takes advice from all his team mates and even though Osamu and Suna are very annoyed by his behaviour, they help because they think it will get better once you two are dating.

So every once in a while he will bring you some self-made delicious food along with a smooth line and one day he catches you off guard so hard you choke on some rice and then blush so hard you run out and you just leave poor Tsumu standing there wondering??? Are you okay? Did he just make you blush?

The next day he comes apologizing with the biggest bouquet of flowers right in front of everybody in your class and you get soooo embarrassed and the way he’s standing there is lowkey just adorable so you have no choice but to say yes. You almost catch him blushing right there, as well, because he really didn’t expect you to say that right then and there

Now when I tell you, he’s the most likely out of these 4 to ditch volleyball practice to sdpernd time with you. Most of the time it isn’t even intended, he just forgets time until he either gets a text from his brother or Suna or Kita OR you realize how late it is being like “Tsumus shouldn’t you be at practice since like 2 hours?” “Oh really? Guess not today. Now come here.”

He gets very used to having you close to him, just like Bokuto, so he will start whining when you can’t make it to a game or you’re busy with school work. Will definitely also make surprise visits at your house, like he’ll just randomly appear in front of your window at 3 am?? Are you spiderman??

Not to be angsty on this fluff post but uuhh fights with him can get very bad because he’s a stubborn child and sometimes you’ll catch him not talking to you 3 days after an argument because he needs time to cool down and reflect. He’s in the wrong 4 out of 5 times and he knows, but just give him time and he’ll be fine again. Shows up with the biggest face of regrets and food he threatened his brother to make and he’ll just blob down into your arms mumbling apologies over and over again. Cute.

Jealousy over 3000. Grows red with anger and balls his hands into the fist the moment some guy makes his way to you. Is on your side in 1 second will make no effort to hide his distrust towards the other guy. Sometimes he’ll get a bit too protective and you just have to tell him that and he’ll let you do your thing, though his gaze will never leave you just to make sure

Biggest show off. Will pull you close or hold your hand in public, grinning like and idiot and constantly placing kisses on your knuckles because you’re his baby and he loves you

Before he serves at games he will look right at you and have the most smug smile one has ever seen on his lips before smashing the ball righ into the opponent‘s field with 0 chance of them to safe the ball. It’s lowkey hot.

Also he gets very pouty and whiny when tired after a long day at school with practice or after exhausting games! Will constantly place his head on top of yours, saying it’s “too heavy” and he literally just covers your body with his.

The type to unconsciously pull you closer while sleeping!! The cutest habit! Always makes you smile when he does it!

A lot of your dates involve either volleyball or playing video games (sometimes Osamu or Suna join) and it’s most of the times just really chill. From time to time though, he’ll get the urge to do something else and next thing you know is you’re wall climbing or on a roller coaster or something. It’s either all or nothing with him concerning dates lmao

Also loves bickering! Will sometimes annoy you on purpose to see your cute face and you’ll have small arguments about who stinks more or whatever and then it always ends with “i love you though”

This is a dumb reach, but now I'm wondering if there is any subtext with our airport luggage guys? Who were first in 3x10 and then reappeared in the infamous 4x08?

@yramesoruniverse don't even play you KNOW I am on my Breaking Point shit right now.

I don't know that I'd call it a dumb reach, but I am so deep into hiatus crackheadery territory that I can no longer differentiate between bonafide analysis and conspiratorial tinhattery. This may very well be the latter but we're here to have fun, right?

I think I've talked before about how incorporating past emergencies into new episodes is a smart way to continue an existing theme without eating up a lot of run time. This is especially relevant because in each of the eps in which this happens, the repeat emergencies are the first emergencies of the episode. This is significant because it sets the stage, like the show wants you to make that connection right away and watch the events unfold within the context of the previous episode you have now been forced to recall. Case in point: the internet famous dude bros from 2x01 who reappeared in 3x11 (3x12? Whichever one is Fools) to connect two fairly Eddie-centric episodes, both of which centered on an initially disastrous meeting (Buck vs. Ana) and how those respective meetings played out. These two meetings, and by extension Buck and Ana, continued to be heavily paralleled throughout the episode.

Another example is the porch pirate from 2x05 (Awful People) who we first saw in 1x08 (Karma's a Bitch), two episodes thematically focusing on people facing the consequences of their actions. Also to note that these are significant episodes for Hen and her family as well. In 1x08, Karen finds out about her cheating with Eva. In 2x05, Eva is back and trying to take Denny from Hen and Karen.

These could just be fun call-backs, but 9-1-1 does a stellar job of weaving themes throughout episodes — throughout seasons— and if this is intentional I think it's a genius strategy. Film students sound out on this one.

As for the scene in question: it compels me to consider the overall themes of the episodes. 3x10 was the Christmas ep, but it's focus for the characters was largely about each individual family unit reaffirming their dedication to each other. Even amidst the dreary rain cloud settling over the episode's events, there was an undercurrent of optimism, a feeling that if these people stuck together they would turn out alright. The two airport luggage dudes manifest this: one guy just trying to get thru his job, fed up with the holidays, the other trying to look positively on the situation.

And then there's Breaking Point, my beloved sleep paralysis demon.

Listen, idc, this episode was entirely about Buck and Eddie. Just like there are episodes that blatantly focus on Bobby and Athena or Hen and Karen or Maddie and Chimney, this one belonged to Buck and Eddie. It was an episode about reaching the end of one's rope. About a disruption to the status quo. About the degree and type of disruption required to make these people crack. The idea of it not so much being a specific incident but a culmination of events, of "bad choices" or bad luck, to finally break the character: our airport luggage guy with the upbeat attitude who literally got sucked into the rotors and still came back to work, and then the culminating disaster that tipped him off the ledge and made him quit.

So we have 3x10 portraying a sense of coming together, and 4x08 portraying a sense of fracturing apart.

And you might think, but wait a minute, didn't Eddie "come together" with Ana and didn't Buck "come together" with Taylor at the end? Sure, but it isn't about that. It's about Buck and Eddie fracturing apart from each other.

And while my buddie goggles are in place, also interesting is the use of Christopher in these episodes. In 3x10: Chris not being able to hang with his dad and so deferring to Buck. In 4x08: Chris getting upset at his dad and so deferring (Ubering) to Buck. 3x10: Buck coming thru for Chris, so he and Eddie can spend Christmas together. 4x08: Buck coming through for Chris, telling him he's not planning on leaving him anytime soon.

This has already become much longer than I expected, sorry. Granted, it could all be bullshit and the writers just being all "haha funny airport luggage dumbasses make brain go brrrrr" and putting them back in for entertainment purposes. But idk, idk. It's suspicious. I am hiding under Tim's stairs and thinking some serious thoughts.

oh star trek ds9 lil thinky think

am havin focus issues tonight so omg sorry if this is all sloppy (i also keep pausing this ep... eek but also omg as if i dont always talk sloppy<3) but hmmmm O_O im wonderin if i'll feel better abt klingon stories in ds9 like

i did not care for a lot of klingon-centric eps in tng :/ and its such a SHAME bc i do love bestie worf, but its like... personally i think worf was best utilised (in tng) in his interactions with the rest of the crew - they had a good dynamic - and so often the tng episodes would involve him being removed from the enterprise, and engaging instead with klingons off world. and more often than not, THAT would also involve characters who... i just didnt care for? and there's a few reasons i just. OMG HARD to truly unpack it bc 1) my memory is sooo fuzzy on tng and 2) also again im a lil loopy rn but

hmm. i think with ds9 they'll give the opportunity for klingon storylines to be more integrated into the plot and sustained properly, involving the others so... hopeuflly that might help? bc like i said- before it would literally just be... worf. sometimes with picard slapped on, by himself, which was even WORSE TBH. (sorry picard but like its highkey annoying when u do fuck all in a story but be, like, a pint of milk in the corner until the final 5 minutes when u handle the resolution like. godddd whatever it ruins it fr STOP it >:() but yah i think tht might make it easier

but also. also also also. in general, i jsut feel like... ok so like. tbh instead? in ds9, the ferengi-centric eps have literally always been. the worst for me. at first i thought it was quark-centric eps & him just not being able to carry an ep plot by himself, in combination with the humour just not appealing to me (and thats still the case, sort of- but i really did like house of quark) which is SORT of similar to worf, sans the humour aspect. but then i realised... its more ferengi eps. bc quark eps involve quark being removed from the cast, and put into a plot involving a) the Nagus and b) a revolving cast of nameless ferengi who are usually inconsequential or one-time shows. and like... i just dont care! bc idc abt any of them?

bc its like... the show does not take the ferengi seriously.and uhm. not to mentino: there's lots of aspects of the depiction of ferengi that make me go 😐😑tbh. (which im not glossing over here bc thts inconsequential but thts just. a lot to unpack HERE in this readmore ramble help.) and idk theres... i get tht a lot of quark/ferengi eps are humours and i find nothing wrong with more lighthearted eps but 1) the humour does not align with what i find funny a lot of the time and 2) that... can still only take it so far, imo? like.

its the same with stuff tht ppl regard as fanservice- which im getting FAAARRR from my point i dont even remember where i was lalala but im rambling here anyways. but yah, ik some ppl decry, like, more "fun" stuff in media, dismissing it as fanwanky and whatever or like. pandering. but idk i dont think thats always the case- so long as its earned. i think... THIS IS SO DUMB. but u kno how ppl REALLY hate 10's regeneration from dw? bc they say its fanservicey bc of the whole, like, goodbye parade? or don't like journey's end (the ep) bc it panders to fans by, like, including all the companions in it? LIKE- PERSONALLY? i get if u feel like tht, but i dont think its THAT cheap to be indulgent in stuff like that sometimes in media, bc media doesnt always have to be some . insane artistic expressino and a lot of it is engaged with the intent to entertain and- THATS A WHOLE OTHER THING . MY FUCKING POINT IS THAT, LIKE, i like it in the dw case bc its well earned fun do u know what i mean. these companions are all such well established characters and we've all been given so much of them by the story so i dont think its, like, milking anything by just takin the time to genuinely send them off nicely and stuff. and-

thats so so so off topic bv my point is like. in order to do that... i jsut feel like a lot of the time you need to actually build a foundation. to have SOME substance. and the ferengi... i jsut feel like they dont offer that a lot of the time, and theyre just there as jokes. and it just gets a lil irritating to me. again- ok, hard to avoid: a lot of that is bc of the not so fantastic concepts of them - but lllike. i just feel like... the humour MIGHT not be so grating, if u built them up A LOT more bc so much of them is ... horribly one dimensional, and the show doesnt rlly treat them with much respect.

and i think. the same SOMETIMES happens with klingons. not at all to the same degree, but like it feels like the show reduces each character to [insert core traits] here unless they're, like, worf or alexander's mam (uhm. sorry i forget her name). and- HONESTLY? U KNO? theres other races they do that with, too. and its jsut so frustrating man like- bc i want more depth to them and whilst i KNOW not every side character can offer , like, all of that but i still jsut wish.. there were more depictions tht were actually varied . do u kno wht i mean. help. and i think thts hwhy, as well, i also lose myself on a LOT of these stories- bc i jsut... CANNOT care abt these characters that are just riffs on the same stock klingon or ferengi like. so what bestie so what jsust half worf walk into the holosuit and talk to ppl its the SAME conseque0nce in the end

meanwhile i feel like the bajorans have been genuinely QUITE diverse but i think thats BECAUSE of kira's role in the story and the fact that bajor is obviously. in such political conflict that all the characters introduced generally have some sort of developed opniino on whats going on and

Oof got a few here so.

I really hate talking about shipping re: Doom with most people lmao they always reduce Doom to like. love interest. which is BAD

Unforgivable is, IMO, one of the most important Doctor Doom stories out there

Continuing from that. More people need to read Unforgivable because if I hear one more person claim that Victor Von Doom is morally a better person than Reed Richards, I am going to kill someone. It may perhaps be this kind of attitude that has made me grow so fond of Unforgivable.

Infamous Iron Man had a lot of really fun ideas and the fact that that entire character arc has basically been cast aside is rage-inducing. Would've been a much more engaging story to have Victor continue the whole hero thing (& actually continue it) with his scars and the FF back. Plus Sue would have been able to judge him which I am always here for

Doom should be allowed to interact with Nadia and Riri again :/ more children should annoy him in general it's very entertaining to me personally

Any writer that portrays Doom being dismissive of Kristoff is a bad writer. Cantwell I am staring directly at you

Re: the Infamous Iron Man era, Victor should've fought the Maker. The Mephisto twist was a cop-out IMO it would've been a lot more interesting to put a Victor that has developed into a hero against a Reed that has developed into a villain

The second the casting for MCU Victor drops, I'm gonna be able to say definitely if it's gonna be mildly annoying or the worst shit I'll ever see

Adding onto that: any person that fan casts a white man to play Doom is racist

Putting Victor on the Guardians of the Galaxy is the best thing that's happened to him since Slott took over. Finally, a chance at some good writing...

Positive traits:

-i am very good for people to vent to. Usually I can empathize with your situation even if I've never been there, and I'd say I give good advice that usually works

-i pick up other people's hobbies and passions so they have someone to talk to about it, and even if it's not my thing, I can usually vibe with it and enjoy it

- I can leave my problems at the door. I usually don't like forcing my bad mood or issues onto people so I keep it in until an appropriate time and setting

Negative traits:

-i am very emotionally bipolar and have a social battery that can die on me randomly. I bottle up my emotions and usually don't share until I absolutely have to

- I can be extremely toxic at times without realizing. I usually try to make up for it once I recognize my behavior, but it doesn't change the fact that I was/am toxic and hurtful

- I have a lot of commitment and trust issues from ✨trauma✨ and struggle to let new people into my life, and I feel restrained and forced and hurt if I realize I'm stuck in something I don't want to be in. (I usually pity my friends and close ones for having to put up with me ghosting them at random times to clear my thoughts or for having breakdowns and mass vents)

- speaking of the pity, I try to push people away if i believe I'm hurting them. I slowly stop talking to them, fake uninterest, and try to find replacements because I believe it's for the better of them

Hobbies:

-i play a lot of instruments, and i learn really fast so i end up finding a new instrument i want to play once every other month or so

- I like to listen to songs, specifically musicals/theater and recognize the musical themes and the songwriting clues (kinda like the m tea series on tiktok if anyone's seen it)

- I really like flowers and am planning to be a florist/floral designer someday

-i have this weird obsession with learning new languages

-music taste: Jesus it changes every week- right now though, in vibing with summer themed songs, punk rock, classical, movie soundtracks, and hadestown

-traits I look for: humor, I like someone who can make me laugh a shit ton; patience, someone who can put up with me and understand that I have issues that I'm coping with; affection, someone who can be affectionate because I am touchstarved and my love language is touch. You picking up Osamu’s hobby and encouraging his interest in cooking would be ADORABLE. Kitchen dates are a must. Despite him being calmer, which might be a plus considering your social battery, I can see you two bickering a lot, even though none of it really means anything. Speaking of which, I don’t see him being that big on PDA either. He likes to be around you though, and he’ll place a hand around your waist or hold your hand but that’s only if he can guarantee that no one’s going to bother you two about it. In private though he loves either hugging you from behind or you doing that to him. It’s so funny when you’re trying to go about your day, doing your stuff and you have this guy clinging to you and forcing you to drag him around bc he doesn’t want to let you go.

Osamu’s rather stubborn, so I doubt if you ever end up pushing him away that he’ll accept it right away. He understands that you’re coping with trauma and he’ll be patient and ask you how he can help, but he won’t allow you to leave him without a definite and proper excuse.

Writer: In a wormhole far far away... oh no sorry hang on a minute I'm getting my tales messed up with some other long popular saga. Clears throat. That’s better, now where was I? Oh yes.

Azuchi castle had been a hive of activity all day. News travelled fast around the servants that they were to play host to some visiting warlords. No one had expected it to be these warlords though.

“I fail to see the benefit to being here.” Shingen muttered as he pushed around a cube of bean jelly on his plate.

“I agree.” Agreed Yukimura who was sitting next to him in the audience chamber.

“Feel free to leave at any point.” Ieyasu wasn’t exactly pleased to see the Tiger of Kai or his little puppy. In fact, he was practically bristling.

“I think I might stay here forever.” Shingen heard the young warlords remark and decided to meet it with a teasing joke. He made a show of popping the sweet bean jelly into his mouth smiling as he looked over at the enemy.

“Over my dead body.” Hideyoshi called out. He was even less pleased. The presence of so many of the enemy in one place was one thing, but they were inside the castle right now. Lord Nobunaga could be in danger.

“That can be arranged.” Kenshin’s icy tone cut through the already tense atmosphere. his hand twitching on the hilt of his blade.

Nobunaga and Mitsuhide were sipping sake watching the verbal tennis match unfold. Neither said anything to anyone else except occasionally to each other. Masamune who had been helping the staff in the kitchen arrived at this point with a platter of food. Mitsunari had his nose in a book sitting like a rather cute, all be it oblivious, statue by Ieyasu.

“Lord Kenshin!...” Sasuke called out putting himself in front of the blade happy warlord halting his advance. “My Lords, I apologise for my late arrival. I see you were able to remain entertained.”

“That is one way to put it.” Yukimura crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall.

“I suppose there is a reason you called us all here ninja?” Nobunaga addressed the one that was responsible for that note on his desk resulting in this pantomime in his castle.

“Yes. I was talking to Mc and we both discovered that we were part of extracurricular games groups in school.”

“Extra Kur-ick-u-er?” Mitsunari attempted to repeat the new foreign-sounding word. Ieyasu had the strategists glasses in his hand so Mitsunari looked a little like he was coming around from a trance as he adjusted to the world.

“Sounds interesting.” Masa joined the group smiling.

“Sounds like an illness.” Ieyasu stated flatly.

“Oh if it’s an ailment Lord Ieyasu is sure to find a cure. He is a very gifted healer.”

“Mitsunari?”

“Yes, Lord Ieyasu?”

“Shut up.”

After a short while of explaining things to the gathered warlords, and dropping in the fact that Mc looked really happy with the idea that they were all going to have a games night together. All of the warlords in assembly suddenly became a lot calmer and decided to choose a game they liked the look of.

Sasuke had spent a great deal of time working with Mc to try to recreate at least a few games. It had been fun sourcing the materials and then attempting to make everything as close as they could to the modern versions.

There was Battleships which was left resembling the original game. The only difference was the ships. The ships they were using were modelled on Pirate and the Portuguese trade ships.

Monopoly was created and adjusted. The areas were names of domains, there were tea houses instead of hotels. Community chest cards became cards from the Emporer and the cards of Chance became fate and fortune cards. The figures were a little different too there was the usual dog, cat and boat. But the rest were a ground spike, a katana, a horse, a cooking pot and a Ladle. The money was different coloured dried beans.

Cluedo was changed so it became rooms around the castle. The players were just coloured figures. The weapons had minor tweaks for historical understanding but was otherwise left.

And there was one surprise finishing game that was perhaps the easiest to recreate. Pictionary.

Sasuke made his way around each group of warlords explained the rules and how to play each game and then joined them for a few games on each.

“There is no way you can keep finding them like that!” Yukimura exclaimed as Sasuke once more made a direct hit on one of his boats.

“I’m sorry but the board is basically a grid in a series of rather simple mathematical equations you can...” Sasuke began to explain how it could be done unaware of the glazed over expression Yuki was making trying to keep up with what he was being told.

“Ok ok I get it YOU can do it. why don’t you just move on the next guys huh?” Yuki gave Sasuke a little push as he tried to get him to move. After that, he sat and stared that the board in silence as if trying to figure it out.

“How did you managed to buy up all that domain?” Ieyasu asked looking at the three slots that should have been the prime locations that included Mayfair.

“It is luck with the dice and knowledge of what to buy where.” Sasuke pushed his glasses back on his nose as he replied devoid of expression even if his heart felt like it was going wild in his chest speaking to his idol.

“But the rest of the teahouses are all scattered what makes those three up there so important?” Masa looks down at the board a little confused. He understood gaining territory and how it could affect others but this game had no war it was all money... well beans.

“I’m afraid if I explained to greatly I might risk upsetting the balance of the game in the future.” Sasuke looked away from the game as he tried to think how best to continue but his thoughts were interrupted.

“Hey don't just put your hand in the coin purse!” Ieyasu cried out and smacked the back of Masa’s hand as he reached for the coin purse that was acting as the bank that held all the beans.

“What? I passed that space there that means I get 10 beans.”

“Yes, but you can’t just go helping yourself.” Ieyasu chastized his friend before becoming aware that he had just smacked him over a stupid future game and became uncomfortably embarrassed about it. “I can’t believe you decided to be the Ladle that is such a dumb piece.”

“Hey, Man don’t underestimate the power of a good ladle.”

“Why is there no dungeon on this board?” Kenshin asked as he looked over the rooms once more.

“Probably because the Princess might play it. Do you really expect an Angel like her to walk around a dungeon in a game?” Shingen scoffed as he drank from his sake cup waiting for his turn on the board.

“I don’t see what is wrong with it. Dungeons in Kasugayama are practically guest rooms.” Kenshin said proudly. In his opinion, no other castle could reach the level of his beloved home.

“Funny that’s what Mitsuhide calls ours.” Nobunaga chuckled as he finished moving his figure on the board. “Mitsunari exactly what are you doing?”

“Oh, I’m terribly sorry I was just reading the cards I had closer.” Mitsunari had been leaning over engrossed in reading and rereading the details on each card, nearly missing his turn.

“Well, it’s your turn.”

“Can I make a guess without rolling and moving anywhere? I’m gonna say it was Mitsuhide in the Tenshu with a rifle.” Mitsunari beamed brightly as he made a guess.

“Why exactly am I always the prime suspect?” Mitsuhide asked acting hurt by the accusation.

“Probably because out of all of us you are the most suspicious.” Hideyoshi replied back as fast as ever.

“Why Hideyoshi I had no idea you thought so much about me. I’m sorry to inform you though I have plans later this evening so I won’t be available for any little trysts.” Mitsuhide smiled meaningfully in such a way as to purposefully give the wrong impression whilst leaving just enough confusion so he could innocently wriggle free of any repercussions.

“Well, tha- what tryst!?” Hideyoshi blushed furiously as he glared at the castle kitsune.

Games night was a success. well, a success in the sense that both sets of enemy warlords had gathered and remained in the same room as each other without it resulting in a bloodbath.

“So who wins?” Masa called out to Sasuke as all the games came to an end.

“Wins?” Sasuke felt a little like he had missed part of a conversation. In the future, they had very different ideas about games.

That wasn't to say people didn’t win or lose but it was not something that typically came to the end of the night where you declared an overall winner in order to prevent a very real declaration of war.

“Yeah, there has to be a winner or else what is the point?” Masa nodded and several of the other warlords agreed.

“Well, I do have one final game.” Sasuke picked up the last box of games. “What you do is...”

Mc came into the audience chamber after the warlords had all made their way to rooms for the night in the castle. Breakfast in the morning was going to be fun. Moving to Sasuke’s side she started to gather the various parts to games and returned them to the boxes.

Sasuke was standing there hardly moving at all. for a second or two Mc considered the possibility that he had somehow fallen asleep whilst standing. But she could see him blinking behind his glasses.

“Er... Sasuke?”

“Oh! Mc.” Sasuke blinked several times as if trying to regain focus on her.

“Are you ok?” Mc asked still a little concerned for her friend.

“Yes yes, I’m fine. Thanks for helping with the cleanup.”

“No problem. So how did it go? Did you win any of the games?” She happily asked as she stacked the boxes at the side of the room out of the way.

“Oh erm no not exactly.”

“Oh... that’s a shame.” Mc looked as if she was thinking about something before continuing. “Still, I know how competitive the guys can get so its probably really difficult to win against them even with brand new games. Better luck next time huh?” Sasuke silently nodded he wasn’t trying to ignore her he was just preoccupied right now. “I’m going to go to the kitchen and see if there is some onigiri or something are you coming?” Mc walked to the door and stopped waiting for his reply.

“Yes. I’ll be there in a minute.” Satisfied with that she left in search of food.

It was during clean up that Sasuke had made a discovery. In his hands, he currently held not an autograph but a drawing made by his idol. it had missed being torn up after that argument broke out about it looking nothing like what it was supposed to be.

He might not have “won” any of the games showcased tonight but at this moment in time, Sasuke felt like he was holding in his hand the grand prize of the evening.

I’m not dead, World of Warcraft just devoured my life again.

Have you ever been inside of an abandoned building? Yes; a shack first, but we picked up the courage to just barely set foot into this small building absolutely littered with newspapers and such. Almost went into the main house, but my sister, friend, and I were too intimidated by the idea. I didn't want to imagine what could be in there; already anxious by that age, I worried about feral animals or homeless being in there. Have you ever actually believed in monsters? (Like as a kid) Yes, I think. Do you have any fascination with the macabre? Examples? Oh boy, do you know me? I find most gore cool, I love bone art/vulture culture sort of stuff, I find death and decay fascinating, then there's the roadkill photography I do (done in only great respect/to show the horror of what we can cause), dark and especially gory artwork... I could go on for a while. Do you actually think skeletons are scary? I LOVE skeletons, add that to the above list. I was always excited in school if our science class had a replica in it. What monster movie is your favorite? This is broad... You mean like, actual monsters? Not like Freddy Krueger, per se, and focused on them? Hell I dunno, maybe Monsters Inc., lol. Is Hocus Pocus really a good movie, or a bit overrated? We cannot associate if you so much as dislike Hocus Pocus. What witch-themed movie/show is your favorite, anyhow? See above. Do you like The Nightmare Before Christmas? Hell yeah. Ha, pretty funny though: I'm not obsessed with the movie or anything, yet people give me sooooooo much Jack Skellington stuff for my birthday and/or Christmas. I do love Jack, totally, but you'd assume I was more in love with the character than I actually am. Do you count it as a Halloween movie and a Christmas movie? Halloween, for me. Do you like Jack or Sally better? Jack. What other Tim Burton works do you enjoy, if any? Corpse Bride and Alice in Wonderland are my absolute favorites, then there's Frankenweenie, Beetlejuice, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach (literally my lil sis's and my childhoods), and probably more. I just love him. Are there any ‘dark’ or ‘spooky’ films you recommend? Absolutely the original Blair Witch Project. Spoiler, you never see the "witch," and that just made it so much spookier, particularly when there's a scene that seems to have a high chance of her showing up on the camera. It's very convincing in selling it as "based on a true story;" the characters act realistic in the situations they're in and are very dedicated to acting well. It's my personal definition of a "good" horror movie. If anything, shit, watch it for the ending. Creepiest goddamn thing. Just for fun – what would your personal hell look like? Yeesh, let's not visualize that... On Supernatural, do you like the angels or demons better? I am way, WAY behind, but from very faint memories, I believe the demons.
