gary goodspeed is trans, and i can prove it

there might seem like there’s holes in the theory from the get-go because of show scenes but consider: there aren’t and i’ll explain it all

ive seen this hc around a couple times so if anyone else made this post (which someone probably did by now) i am sorry 

first, the most damning piece of evidence: he has... an UNDERCUT. that’s like... the haircut every trans man ever will get at some point or another. that basically proves it right there

ok, ok. i’ll get to the more serious evidence now

in episode 6, in that one video message, he not only wraps the towel around his chest but he also has one of those hair bun things. amab guys typically... do not know how to do that honestly

but what cis guy would cover their chest? they just wrap towels around their waists! it’s most likely a force of habit, even though gary obviously had top surgery, since he was wearing a towel around his waist later. (and as to the switch, the recording was obviously much before the show starts, so he gained confidence since then and/or stopped caring)

“but where are the scars?”

there are spaceships and intergalactic travel in this universe. technology has evolved; who says surgeries leave scars anymore? more relevant: a robot arm not built to be a human prosthesis was attached to gary very easily; so obviously medical tech has evolved a lot

he could’ve realized he was trans at a young age, and for the voice... a) some afab people have androgynous sounding voices and b) i hate to go meta, but cartoon children never ever sound like actual children

also this might be a little bit of a reach but yknow that one scene where avocato stabbed him with a needle? gary seemed really.... nonplused to see it there. like, yeah, he was mad about it being there, but he wasn’t disturbed or anything. if he was, he’d be super dramatic about it (see: the arm scene.) its almost as if he might be familiar with needles?

BUT WAIT! what about that scene where avocato commented on his “dick situation?” 

immm going to explain this under the cut because it goes into explaining what genitals looks like so-

so the obvious first answer is, “bottom surgery.” no dice, trust me. we’ve seen gary naked with his legs apart. it would’ve been in-frame if it was there. there’s no way he has a dick too small to be in frame, because let’s be real- he pays for bottom surgery, he gets his money’s worth. 12 inches MINIMUM

second, less likely answer might be “avocato saw the vagina and the “dick situation” is the fact that its missing"

well... yes and no

gary is obviously on T. with how he looks and all, he’s on T and is probably still on T while on the galaxy one (it was deemed medically necessary id bet)

now, if you go on T and you don’t have bottom surgery, the clitoris starts to grow an inch or two. and when it grows, it looks exactly like a tiny little penis. except, in the wrong place, and there’s also a vagina. that was probably what the dick situation was. 

avocato’s a ventrexian; i doubt he knows that what i just described could happen to a human. he just knows “the one that sticks out is a dick and the one that sticks in is a pussy” and he thinks that all dudes have dicks and all girls have vaginas because once again, limited human knowledge, he doesnt know what a trans person is. so he was confused out of his mind when he saw both and also the dick is in the wrong place and Where Are The Balls and all that junk

(and gary showed it off proudly because i bet he was proud he could pass it off as a dick)
