That being said, that type of traditionalism - noeclassicism - is very much the tradition of the high-class mansion-y class of buildings, which has been developed by architects over the last few centuries, and therefore while elements did come to the vernacular the revival isn't really of the vernacular I reckon? I'd say that if you're interested in vernacular architecture in the UK, the movement towards reviving vernacular styles is more the "arts and crafts" movement... I'm thinking features like mock tudor timber-framed mottle and daub or brick nogging, pebble dash walls, thatched rooves, slate rooves, quarry tile floors, timber cladding. Reviving these sorts of techniques and styles also has some element of the "problematic" traditionalists like above but I think not as much, as most people find it "kitsch". Lots of nice new-builds on recent years have been trying to look somewhat like simplified victorian arts&crafts, especially with the plain bargeboards. Some of these don't really need a revival though as they're been fairly consistent in vernacular housing, like slate rooves in Wales.
For the most part, nobody is building anything new that looks traditional and uses traditional techniques: usually new buildings either look superficially old-fashioned but use modern construction methods, or in rare cases people build ecologically-minded homes using rustic techniques but that don't look very traditional, such as straw-bale walls. There's a fair amount of work in conservation, though, so that could be worth a look.
I've got a rather nice book called "House: British Domestic Architecture" by Philippa Lewis which features quite a lot of vernacular styles and methods, and is probably a very good resource if you've never been to the UK but want an overview (and a reference to why there's no simple answer to the question of revival)...

Hi! I’m studying about the revival of Hanok, korean traditional houses, in Korea, and I’m curious about traditional or vernacular house revivals around the world! Especially in cases where new construction is being done in traditional styles.
If anyone has any suggestions of traditional architecture revivals in their own home country or other countries that they know about, I would love to hear about it!
Thanks so much for your help in advance :)
