7. What is your deepest joy about writing?

When you form an attachment to the characters you’re writing. Sure that seems like, really generic, but you get to know them and when you’re really really paying attention to them, they start to make their own decisions. You understand them on such a personal, intimate level, that it’s like, legitimately hard to put them through shit. It’s just fun to sit back and realize you’ve written something that compelling to you, and that makes you feel this strongly. It’s nice seeing how other people interpret the character’s actions, and how because you have their thoughts in your head, you can sort of see how the outsider’s perspective looks at it. Idk, it’s just interesting. The same goes for the world you create. This spans away from fanfiction but a lot of my original works have these complex worlds and politics and it becomes an character in and of itself. Okay I’ll shut up now.

17. Minutiae of your WIP. Little details, lore, things that I know about etc.

I’ve got two WIPs but one of them is really simple and essentially post-war canon compliant so we’ll skip over A Short Life.

Regretfully Uncaring:

Fucking hell where do I start.

Remus and Tonks write together a lot. Since they released their book on werewolves, (which Remus is now credited) they’ve been writing up a sequel of sorts, going into how to solve the political troubles and corrupt legislation the ICW keeps in place. Anyway, their relationship has done nothing but grow since Harry and Ginny went missing, and Tonks has a hunch that Ginny was working on becoming an animagus, something she’s kept close to her chest.

Greyback sees potential in Dudley to rise the ranks and become a fourth member of his little top of the pyramid club. Of course, Dudley only assumes this is a lie to get Dudley to think he’s important when reslly he’s just there to lure Harry, but that’s actually not true. Greyback likes Dudley, and wants him on his side for more than just Potter purposes.

Voldemort went to Ginny’s grave out of a legitimate sense of loss. This is, sort of, clarified in the fic later, but because it’s from Ginny’s perspective (unreliable narrator) it feels like Voldemort is insincere.

Daphne notices Ron because of his nose. That is what initially got her paying attention to him.

Harry’s crush on Elizabeth melting into his crush for Ginny has a deeper meaning and I hope people catch onto that eventually.

Audrey Williams, who eventually goes on to marry Percy, favourite subject was astronomy. Her favourite planet is Neptune.

Ted Tonks is currently sitting in a bar in Northern Ireland.

Remus collects vinyls, even though he doesn’t like playing them. It drives him absolutely mad that Sirius plays them, and his biggest annoyance with Potter Manor’s destruction is that his collection was destroyed in the fire.

Dobby did indeed die in the fire of Hogwarts.

Charlie Scamander, (Alyssa and Charlie’s daughter who I’ve neglected to mention in almost 20 chapters) has her grandmother’s voice in her head. Tina, unfortunately, is losing her hold over the position, and Snape’s is coming to replace it.

Death in Regretfully Uncaring is frustrated with Harry and Ginny because for her, she’d only just tracked them down in another reality, that of A Short Life Full of Long Years. So, in some ways, both of my fics are connected in that sense, though it is never mentioned nor eluded to.

March 5 - No Name Harbor and Ft Lauderdale. Yesterday Molly D had a stopover in No Name Harbor. This harbor is within the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park which is located in Key Biscayne.

In addition to a beautiful harbor, this state park has a beach, walking and biking trails, picnic areas, fishing spots and the Cape Florida Lighthouse. The harbor is small but it can hold a couple dozen boats (fewer if there is a big ass 60’ catamaran with a 25’ beam taking up real estate!).

There is a nice walking trail along the waterfront. This trail leads to the lighthouse. We walked the trail a short distance yesterday. The deal about taking a walk was that I’d walk until I saw an iguana and then we would turn around. We didn’t get too far.

The Cleat, a bar along the waterfront has inviting areas in which to enjoy a beverage.

Today Molly D sailed into Ft Lauderdale. The trip from No Name was slightly choppy but nothing to be concerned about. Port Everglades is the entry point into Ft Lauderdale from the ocean. Port Everglades is a busy port with shipping, cruise ships, repair facilities for mega yachts, tour boats and pleasure craft all using the same piece of water. The boat traffic can be unnerving at times, but we encountered a low traffic day. Weekend traffic is the worst!

David and I finally got to exercise our walking muscles today. We had one brief walk since leaving Key West on Saturday so we couldn’t wait to stretch our legs! The walk to Ft Lauderdale Beach from the marina is a bit more than a mile. Saw a dinosaur along the way.

This is spring break week and the crowds at one end of the beach and on the sidewalks left no doubt about it being spring break week.

While the northern end of the beach was crowded, the southern end was less so.

Hard to believe that this is a view of the same beach.

David and I had an early supper at Coconuts. The food is good but not outstanding. The view of the ICW is priceless.

Tomorrow Molly D will leave Ft Lauderdale and head north to our next stop at Lake Worth. The wind will be up tomorrow. It will be from the south and will be from our stern. There is a chance for thunderstorms and gusty winds. This winter has been full of forecasts that have been inaccurate. We need to know about the experts’ weather predictions in order to be prepared for any adverse conditions. That being said, we listen, we prepare, and we know that the weather is going to do what it wants to do in spite of forecasts.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone talk about the ICW/Nolan Edwards/Noah Edward situation on here, and it took me a bit to piece together what was happening on twitter so I figured I’d post these here.

Nolan, who is 23 (per cagematch) groomed/abused Alice Crowley while she was still in high-school. (First pic is her mentioning that she only just graduated. Second is Edward admitting to dating her.)

Recently ICW No Holds Barred booked him on a show, and when fans expressed their concerns they claimed to be looking into things. As these screenshots from bozojesus on twitter show, Alice and her family have not been contacted by ICW as of today (8/24). So it’s unclear how much of an “investigation” they’re actually conducting. In addition to this, they’re still booking Dan Maff (a pedophile)

November 21 - Melbourne to Vero Beach.

Goodbye Melbourne!

Cloudy start to the day with just a peek of sunshine. Short travel day of 28 miles. Many other boats were traveling south on the ICW this morning. One boat was waking everyone he passed and got called out on it by another boater who was going to report him to the Coast Guard. Good luck with that! We cleared the dreaded Wabasso Bridge!! The height board read 63.5’. Our antenna played a tune on every beam under that bridge. No damage though!! Today I saw an osprey’s nest built on top of a channel marker. Not unusual, but:

We made it to Vero at lunch time. We had good timing, as no other boats were at the gas dock. All arriving boats are required to check in at the gas dock. Holding tank pumpout is mandatory. We also took the opportunity to refuel with diesel and to fill the water tank. Our first assigned mooring did not work out. The captain of the boat on the mooring gave us attitude about rafting with him. Not our problem. The marina has mandatory rafting and we went to the mooring the office assigned us to. Long story short, David and I did not want to raft with this very unpleasant and unaccommodating boat owner. We requested and received another mooring assignment but not before ratting on the boat owner. Molly D is on another mooring rafted to a boat whose owners appear to have left the boat for a period of time. So we move on. We managed to get a brief walk in before the downpour arrived. Molly D could use a good washdown so rain is good. We are hoping that the rain will stop long enough so that we can dinghy to the Riverside Cafe (aka dive bar) for supper. If we can’t, we will have many more opportunities to do so. Molly D will be settled in Vero until after the first week of January. We are looking forward to the parks, beaches, farmers market, Friday night music at the performing arts center, the craft fair, the holiday parade down Ocean Drive, the lighted boat parade and the many restaurants that have become our favorites.

2021 is the first year i did not attend a major stadium show of some sort for a variety of reasons (virus, wwe didn’t do any ppvs in philly, none of the aew shows in philly caught my eye, etc.) so its almost all death matches this year baby, next year i already have three shows lined up with a possible fourth so there should be some top quality candidates before the new variant shuts down pro wrestling again!

Fra queste peró ci sono state delle eccezioni che hanno pensato come tornare attivamente all'opera quando la situazione sarebbe tornata alla normalità. La ICW NHB è una di queste, partita in sordina con il primo show il 4 gennaio dopo il restyling. La particolarità di questa federazione è le corde sono sostituite da catene, i match sono chiamati semplicemente "fight" che le vittorie sono ottenibili solo per KO, interruzione dell'arbitro o pinfall. La loro tagline è "NO DQ NO SUBMISSION" e infatti i match sono soprattutto risse da strada o deathmatch. Il primo evento, chiamato Volume 1,non è stato un evento memorabile ma si trattava di un incidente di percorso dallo stop non ne hanno sbagliato uno. Per il secondo show dobbiamo arrivare a giugno, Deathmatch Drive-In un cui si vede del bel wrestling ultraviolento. Gli show d adesso in poi sono tutti all'aperto, e i fan distanziati e con mascherine. In questo modo tutti i fan sono coinvolti e lo show può continuare. Il successo che sta avendo la ICW NHB va ritrovato nei talenti di Tony Deppen, John Wayne Murdoch, Eric Ryan, Alex Colon ma pure nei giovani promettenti Akira e Alex Ocean. Davvero una bella ventata d'aria nuova nel wrestling

During the quarantine many federations failed and others suffered heavily from that with a forced stop. Among these, however, there were exceptions that thought how to actively return to work when the situation would return to normal. The ICW NHB is one of them, starting quietly with the first show on January 4 after the restyling. The peculiarity of this federation is the ropes are replaced by chains, matches are simply called "fight" that wins are only obtained by KO, referee interruption or pinfall. Their tagline is "NO DQ NO Submission NO Rules" and in fact the matches are mainly brawl or deathmatch. The first event, called Volume 1, was not a memorable event but it was a crash of the route from the stop did not miss one. For the second show we have to arrive in June, Deathmatch Drive-In which you see beautiful ultraviolent wrestling. The shows from now on are all outdoors, and fans spaced out and with masks. This way all the fans are involved and the show can continue. The success of the ICW NHB must be found in the talents of Tony Deppen, John Wayne Murdoch, Eric Ryan, Alex Colon but also promising youngsters Akira and Alex Ocean. Really a nice breath of fresh air in wrestling
