On the quiet days

I haven’t been myself for a while, I haven’t felt like living but I’m not a quitter. So yeah, I’m still here and kicking life’s ass.

The clock ticked as you both lay in bed wrapped up in each other’s arms. Both of you were off and tired, it was early morning, so you didn’t make a move to get out of bed. And you didn’t know Seungwoo was awake, he was doing the same thing you were doing staring off into space, listening to the other's heartbeat. He placed one of his hands in your hair causing you to look at him, you smiled softly and he smiled back with sleepy eyes.

You laid your head back down on his chest and took a deep breath, enjoying his scent. He laughed under his breath, “How cute.” He commented pulling you closer as he closed his eyes again, you smiled and followed suit, both of you fell back asleep.

You sighed softly into the quiet room, as you stared at the paperwork in front of you. Ah, it’s so much fun picking up slack from your coworkers. Seungsik’s back was to you, he was washing the dishes, seemingly to have gone off into his own world. You sighed, needing a break and stood up from the kitchen table, leaving the mountain of work there.

Once you reached Seungsik you wrapped your arms around him, giving him a back hug. He flinched slightly at your sudden touch and looked down at you with a smile. It was as if he knew you were frustrated about work, he sat the cup he was rinsing down and took off the bright pink gloves you bought as a joke. He turned around and gave you a real hug. You buried your face in his chest and then looked up.

He poked the tip of your nose and kissed your forehead watching as your face turned bright red from blushing, “better?” He whispered softly letting you go.

“Much better.” You replied walking back to the table of work.

“Fighting!” He quietly cheered you on before returning back to his own task. You laughed a little and the room fell back into the peaceful silence.

Glancing up from your phone, your eyes landed on Chan, he was looking online shopping for what, you didn’t know. Your curiosity getting the best of you, you leaned over his shoulder to see what he was staring at so intensely. He hadn’t said anything much all day which puzzled you.

Normally, he wouldn’t stop teasing and playing with you. But today was different, so what was up.

“What are you doing?” You asked scaring the daylights out of the man. He went to cover his phone, but it was too late you say it already. You smiled at him and shook your head.

“That’s cute, who is it for?” You asked.

He pursed his lips and shook his head at you, he knew you saw it, so there’s no use lying. In a quick motion, he pulled you into his lap showing his phone to you, he started showing different colors of the couple sweaters he was looking at.

You grinned as you watched him scroll through the selections. Last time you asked about wearing a couples outfits, he told you no, what changed his mind? Shaking the thought away you pointed at the pastel purple sweater with a dinosaur on the front.

His face turned bright red as he smiled up at you, “Okay,” he remarked, putting his phone down and pulling you even closer as he leaned back on the couch, “I was thinking the same thing.”

You reached over and grabbed your phone before making yourself comfortably cuddled up in Chan’s lap. You opened your Instagram and you both proceeded to scroll through the app in silence.

Standing up from the couch to stir the pot you had on the stove, you hummed softly to yourself as you looked at the time. It was almost dusk dark outside, Sejun had left about an hour and a half ago. He said he wanted to go for a jog, that was cool, cause you needed some ingredients for dinner. But by the time you realized you already had it, he was already out the door. So you texted him not to worry about and enjoys his time to himself.

You put spoon down just as the sound of the front door opening reached your ears, you looked up as Sejun walked into the kitchen. He was covered in sweat but he smiled at you exposing his dimples as he went in for a hug.

“You smell like hard work.” You stated taking him off guard because he thought you’d tell him he stinks. You looked up at him and smirked at him, he smirked back and started to attempt to rub his sweat on you. But you ducked and made a made dash for the living room.

His laughter followed you as he went behind you, he caught you and started tickling you. You erupted into laughter, swatting his hands alway, “Sejun, I’m gonna burn dinner,” you laughed out, “please stop.”

He did as you asked and took off his sweaty shirt, “I’m gonna go shower first.” He announced with a smile.

“Okay.” You replied as you gathered your composure and stood up to head back into the kitchen.

“Y/N,” he called your name and you looked over at him and answered with a hum, “I love you.” He acknowledged softly like he usually does at random times.

“I love you too.” You stated softly. Both of your cheek were flushed red. How sweet

The rain poured outside and the sound of thunder rumbling sounded through the cafe. Hanse sat across from you, doing the same thing you were doing, staring out the window watching the rain fall as people rushed to take cover.

You two did the exact same thing but were lucky enough to end up in a cafe instead. Hanse smiled at you as he’d helped you wipe the rainwater from your face. You did the same thing for him, being silly about it made a whole lot of difference. You both decided to place and order and have a seat and wait out the rain. The other customers didn't stay long, they left as soon as the rain slacked up just a little bit, people were busy with lace so it was understandable.

The cafe was silent, only a few other people remained to enjoy a cup of coffee. The only sound that could be heard was the workers going about making orders. You looked at Hanse and smiled, he’d floated off somewhere in his head again, it was all over his face. You shook your head and stared back out the window. You didn’t notice that he saw you, and smirked a little.

Your orders had arrived, you weren’t looking, you’d begun to drift off to your own planet. You didn’t notice Hanse get up and walk around to your side of the table. You didn’t even register the fact that he had even moved until he sat down beside you and draped an arm around your shoulders. You looked at him and he smiled at you, his lip piercing moving ever so slightly.

“What’s going on in your head?” He asked cheekily and tilted his head to the side.

“Oh nothing,” you responded, “just looking at people trying to dodge the rain. What about you?”

“Something similar, but with you being the center focus.” He blinked at you, “how’s your iced coffee?” He asked knowing full well you hadn’t even touched it.

Grabbing it, you took a sip and then nodded your head, “A1 baby.” You threw up both thumbs. Hanse laughed and you leaned into him. As you bother started quiet bantering back and forth wittfully, you both ended up forgetting about the rain too engrossed in teasing each other, neither of even realized that the rain had stopped.

Waves crashing on the beach filled your ears as you walked hand and hand with ByungChan along the shoreline. The sun was getting ready to set, but you weren’t ready to head back inside yet, it was way too noisy in there. So after eating dinner, you both opted to take a quiet walk on the beach.

The waves pushing the water up to your ankles, you were looking down as you walked. A smile on your face as you took in your surroundings. It was beautiful and ten times better because he was here with you. The breeze was cold but you felt so warm and comfortable. B

ByungChan could only look at you and smile at how cute you were without knowing it. His only wish was that you’d bring a sweater or something, but you said no and dragged him outside in a hurry.

A crab emerged from the sand, startling both of you, you pointed at it, “Hey,” you shouted, “don’t sneak up on us like that!”

The crab then began chasing after ByungChan who ran in circles around you screeching ever so dramatically. You may or may not have pissed the creature off by kicking sand at it and telling it to go away, because a few more crabs joined in the chase. You both ended up screaming and laughing while trying to run for your lives kicking sand as you went.

Somehow you fell into the water and he tripped over you not knowing you had fallen. Both of you were wet now and cold because the sun had fully set. You both were laughing at each other, which led to a water fight. It ended as quickly as it started though. You stood up ready to leave and head back inside when ByungChan told you to hope on his back.

You did so no questions asked, “Y/N,” he called your name seriously making you look up in confusion, “why’d you have to kick sand at it?” He laughed out the last part.

“It was trying to take our toes to it's overlord.” You exclaimed.

“That makes no sense.” He laughed out heartily.

“It does,” you explained dramatically, “I looked em right in his little beady eyes. He wanted the smoke.”

“Uh huh,” he laughed, “so, you started a war and we lost.”

“No, they out loud numbered us. It was an ambush!” You explained moving a little too much.

“Okay, now stop moving before you fall.” He warned still smiling.

It became quiet again, you wanted to be cheesy and say, I love you. But, instead you lairs your head on on his shoulder and started humming a random tone softly. All he could do was smile.

The studio was filled with soft music playing in the background. Subin was busy working, while you sat next to him with your legs draped over his, while you sketched away in your notebook. Every now and then, he’d reach down and rub your legs, you put your artwork down and sat up to see how far he had gotten.

He looked up at you and smirked you “what?” You smiled back, watching as he covered up his book.

“If I can’t peek at yours, you can’t peek at mine.” He bargained with a little innocent smile playing on his lips. The same lips you placed a quick peck on and watched as he began to blush and look away.

“You’re so cute.” Subin whispered as he finally looked back at you, “I’ll show you when I’m done, but only if you show me yours.” He stated.

You pretended to think about it and nodded your head in agreement. He returned the small peck you gave, now causing you to let out a small giggle as you laid back down and went back to your sketch. The silence was perfect mixed with the soft music in the background.

You and Subin were so comfortable and immersed in your shared atmosphere that neither of you noted the fact that one of the other members popped in to check on you guys. But him seeing that you two weren’t interested in anything but the shared bubble you two had created around yourselves, took his leave as quickly as he appeared.

It seemed that maybe a few minutes had passed by, when Subin put down his pen and layed down on you with his head on your stomach. You tossed your sketchbook down, your hand automatically went into his hair. Subin let out a sigh as soon as he felt you playing in his head.

“Ah,” he mumbled, sounding like he was fall asleep, “this is the life,” he sighed out a yawn, “just five minutes please.”

You hummed in response, but seriously, not even two minutes after he’d fallen asleep, you followed suit.

AND I THOUGHT SWEETIES WERE ALLERGIC TO ANGST!!!! /HVYJ....... and it's so well done...... it will make you cry. TT....... chapter 57 'poppy' is nainai's biggest opp. (╯▔皿▔)╯!!! grrrr i will get you, zizi.. bite the bullet by @.88czns and @.mawuwamaz. ot6 rdwy (myeongyoko, magnetz, flowerz) ft. dreamie, mafia au, multi-fic series, ongoing. btb is not one fic, but multiple inside one named bundle! it is basically many stories set in the same universe with the same characters lol. my personal favorite is the flowerz one, because while the dynamic is similar to sunflower and marigold.. there is something more shocking when you get to the middle point hehe. btb has too many good things to talk about, so nainai suggests that you check it out for yourself and leave a reblog!! 🙇‍♂️ we are endless by @.endeulset. post-disbandment, ot7, chaptered, finished. nainai believes that this one is the most emotional, especially for endeuls.. two chapters cover one member (except for seongsu2 who stick together in their chapters) and detail speculations, how they feel about separating from czn and skytali, staying to work there (like sunwoo, jeonghui, and jiyoon), and even having a special chapter inspired by subin's twitter post with the bunnies at the restaurant.. it's very nostalgic and melancholic, your heart feels calm as you read ^^. as an endeul, it made me feel happy for the members, knowing that they've gone on paths that they know they'll be truly happy with.. but they'll still find ways to be together that's all!! maybe nainai will make a bigger post with all her recs, but that's for another day..
