I don’t know what Taylor and Amalia identify as in real life, I don’t want to assume anything. But if they are straight, I hella commend them for putting their all into the Raylla ship. They like genuinely kiss each other, which is something a lot of straight actresses look visibly uncomfortable doing. And just from interviews I’ve seen they seem to really enjoy playing the ship. It’s really refreshing to see actresses who ship it just as much as the fans!

Beware: major rambling ahead. Another post night shift brain word vomit.

I think I found a pattern of wlw relationship build up/ progression. And seriously, I think I might be a masochist, because I’m still invested in these wlw ships and I know I’ll still watch the next show with a wlw pair, no matter how painful or tragic I know it will be. The angst, man. As long as these wlw ships radiate soulmate/ great love vibes, the angst is so worth it. Ahem, The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Anyway... Let’s begin with Clexa. Iconic.

It all starts with the “intense stare off” aka the heavy feels in one stare... and then we’re off to the “jump”, where we’re all wondering who’s gonna crack first and go for the first kiss.

Then, it finally happens, the “sugar high” phase... and it’s like pure candy rush, unicorns, rainbows, and butterflies...

And then fleeting moments of “bliss”... and then comes utter “chaos”. Yup, I said it. Not gonna post a gif of that.

If we look at Raylla, we’ll follow the same pattern...

“Intense stare off” and the “jump”. These two were the quickest of all wlw. They didn’t just jump, they leapt and dove into it. Lol.

“Sugar high” and “bliss”. Also fleeting, but all their moments were so heartwarming.

Which is why the “chaos” was so much more heartbreaking. Damn.

Let’s do it again. This time, Damie.

Then, “sugar high” and “bliss” for some good years... They definitely made the most of the time they had... fuck, I’m about to cry thinking about it again.

And of course, we have the “chaos” which has always been in the background of their relationship, until it took over at the end. Damn it, I’m not crying.

And then we have Avatrice... our baby wlw, who will probably be the slowest burn ever.

In fact, we have loads of those! I’d post more gifs, but I’m at the limit, lol. But seriously, they’re stuck at this phase. Just fucking “jump” and do it, Avatrice! We know you want to!:)

Let’s see if my proposed pattern holds true, when season 2 comes. I already guess there would be serious angst or at least, some push and pull with their relationship... it’s gonna be a painful and bittersweet burn, but you bet I’ll gladly go through it. Lol. Who’s with me?
