heres a little walkthrough on the krakkabanki website which was made when latibær partnered with them around the year 2000 :)
Tumblr media
when you open the website you’re greeted with this page, its animanted and it will go through day and night cycles, and iþro’s airship will go across the screen
if you press the button with the blue, red and green dots you’ll go to this page:
Tumblr media
all these planets do different things, the green one gives you what i assume are printables or something, and the red one has games like tetris, snake, etc. and earth will just take you back to the first page
Tumblr media
when you go back to the first page theres these little pictures of the characters (from left to right: iþro, glanni, goggi, halla, hannin, lolli, jives, nenni, siggi, solla, stína, and the mayor) if you click on one of them it will give you a character description:
Tumblr media
as you see ive picked goggi as my example, you’ll notice there are four buttons on the bottom, the one on the far left takes you back to the main page:
Tumblr media
the tv icon lets you set it as a wallpaper
Tumblr media
the crayon icon gives you a sort of colouring sheet
Tumblr media
and the puzzle piece gives you a puzzle
thats all there is really, but it was quite fun going through the website, its sorta like a time capsule :)

Hello!!!! love ur art!! for the da ask game: 5. attitude towards the Chantry?
9. what is their love language?
25. what did they plan for their life to look like before the events of the game happened?
mix of cute and deep questions
THANK YOU >_< dragon age has got me drawing like crazy again...ok answers below the cut bc i talk a lot. threw in some doodles and related wips
5. attitude towards the Chantry? - being dalish elves reiva, hanta, and faolan all have pretty negative leaning views of the chantry. since reiva and hanta have joined the wardens they don’t have to directly interact with the chantry on a regular basis (and especially while reiva is off looking for a blight cure) so they are spared from that. faolan on other hand has to deal with the chantry in his face for all of inquisition and it makes him deeply uncomfortable, and he has to deal with becoming a chantry icon and idolized by a religion he does not believe in. Needless to say faolan does not like the chantry and actively splits ties with it asap to work with his own team
Tumblr media
this is some concepts i had of different country's interpretations of faolan as an icon post dai. varying on cultural symbolism and perception of elves - ro is kind of culturally andrastian? leandra and malcolm are both vaguely religious but don’t go to church in my head. however malcolm goes out of his way to tell his kids that they aren’t wrong or evil for being mages no matter what the chantry says. so ro grows up with this deep disconnect to religion but also kind of wishes he was religious when dealing with the deaths of his family bc he has nothing else to cling to
9. what is their love language? reiva: definitely spending time together...he is very quiet especially compared to alistair but his favorite moments are the two of them just being able to rest together
Tumblr media
ro: prob physical touch...and spending time together. he likes to bother varric while hes trying to do work in his office and distract him. also most of their dates are just drinking and smoking while playing cards lmao faolan: physical touch and verbal affirmation. he likes very casual touch with most people but especially his partner. and hes a huuuuge sap
Tumblr media
25. what did they plan for their life to look like before the events of the game happened? reiva: he was training to be the clan's halla keeper...he loved taking care of them and was very good at animal husbandry. the beginning of origins is very rough for him he feels like hes being ripped away from hsi home ro: hmmm...honestly ro wasnt really doing anything for himself atp. he mostly just took care of the house with leandra and tried to keep up with bethany's training after malcolm's death. didnt really have many dreams and aspirations he was mostly worried about getting found by templars and separated from his family faolan: ouhh :( faolan's hurts the most bc i write clan lavellan as very successful and stable so faolan's grown up in relatively peaceful environment. he travels with his mothers for trading and kind of serves as a little bodyguard/trader. he liked learning about crafts and trades with the craftsmen of the clan and learning about elven history from his mom (the keeper)
Tumblr media
heres faolan as a kid in his clan...cutie hanta: hanta's life actually gets ruined BEFORE da4 is taking place yahoo !! so by da4 hes actually terribly cynical and has no motivation in life. hes just waiting for the blight to kill him before he ruined his own life he was an acclaimed warrior and hunter in the clan and married for like 20 years. and then he goes and does a blood ritual

hi, some notes for certain people on this app;
1) not everything needs discourse.
2) Sometimes, a reblog/post is just fun. It's never that serious.
3) seeing people being forced to live in a capitalist society and then getting pissed when they actually follow those societal rules is weird as fuck.
4) you're not an activist just for being a good person or posting a few things, it is an actual job.
(halla knows who this is but no one else gets the privilege sorry.)
HAHA I LOVE YOUUUU 🤍🤍yeah I do know who this is you’re an icon.
And EXACTLY RIGHT!!! This kind of “discourse" feels like the wrong idea of consistency. Like you want me to be consistent in the way that a cartoon character wears the same clothes every episode.
Annndddd being anti capitalist doesn’t mean never buying things and living an ascetic life! It just means everyone deserves to be compensated fairly for their labor and having equal opportunity to buy whatever you want. Like you said, we can hate capitalism all we want but we still gotta function within its rules unfortunately. Just cuz I think we all deserve human rights doesn’t mean I’ll have to live in box in the woods and refuse to shower or whatever.
For the love of god yall don’t know me (not this specific anon cuz like we’re friends ). I am going through some life altering shit right now. Shit that I don’t talk about online. But it’s the kind of thing that sends you to fuckin therapy for decades. It’s a miracle I’m even getting up in the morning ngl. If I choose to deal with it by reblogging hot pictures ot Gabbriette or by buying her lip kit then SO WHAT?! Every day that I don’t off myself is a fuckin win. Let people enjoy things.
You are allowed to have convictions and be a normal person. As I have said 19000 times before including when yall tried to shit on Gabbriette for the Alexander Wang thing, being social media warriors and putting systemic problems on the shoulders of just some girl is why nobody likes leftists. They can’t talk like normal human beings. STOP THAT SHIT RIGHT THE FUCK NOW.

The Crossroads [DLC Trespasser]: Ancient Jail
Tumblr media
The Ancient Jail is an abandoned jail, occupied by strange elven statues and shattered mirrors. There is almost no more information to get from it. It’s an ancient mystery.
[This is part of the series “Playing DA like an archaeologist”]
[Index page of Dragon Age Lore]
Tumblr media
From the Isle that heads to the Shattered Library we can activate a dragon egg that will allow us to reach this place. It’s seems strange that the statue of Dragon Mythal is here. There are some broken eluvian and a lot of skeletons.
We know this eluvian leads to a jail, but why this decoration? Is this a jail the place where Mythal put those who angered her? All those that had done wrong doings to other elves and asked Mythal for revenge, as the Altar of Mythal seems to suggest? Mythal as a dragon seems to represent her aggressive, furious aspect, while her humanoid form her just aspect. This would explain why we see her humanoid form inside her Temple, a place of Justice; while the dragon form is repeated all around her Altar, a place where petitioners ask for revenge, or outside her Temple, to defend it]. Finding this dragon statue here, beside the eluvian, could represent a message to intimidate the prisoners before entering the jail.
Tumblr media
As we enter, the first thing we see is a pair of murals: the shifting halla or bound halla, and the black halla with the marked elves [more on this Nation Art: Elvhen]. The architecture of this place feels a very standard Ferelden castle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are several broken eluvians and a broken Howling Fen'Harel statue. There is some Dalish iconography too. Honestly, this place is a big mystery, and I can’t find a way to wrap most of the elements in a more or less coherent interpretation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The cells are filled with many skeletons, showing that there was an overpopulation of prisoners in these cells. On the ground, there is a Golden Halla and on the wall, a part of an icon that, I suspect, it’s a reuse of an asset.
Tumblr media
The original icon represented the outlaw party in the Hinterlands, but by the way it’s shown in the wall, seems to be focused on “squeezing a snake”, which escapes my interpretation, since this is ancient elvhenan time... it cannot be a representation of Tevinter: there were no humans in the world yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the other side of the corridor we find another Dragon Mythal statue, more cells, and more broken eluvian. Clearly this cell was connected to a lot of places given the amount of eluvians it once had.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The painting of a golden halla aims to where we find 2 destroyed eluvians. Maybe an indication to the Forgotten Sanctuary? Hard to know.
Close to the Golden Halla, we find a Crumpled Page. Again, we are left with almost no information.
The language of the note is unknown to us, which seems alarmingly strange, specially for an inquisitor who drank from the Well of Sorrows. So maybe this is not Elven in any way, but an ancient language of another race?
Since the note humiliates the jailer [making him farting and crossed-eyed], it must have been written by a prisoner. So, if we cannot understand the language, this implies that some of these prisoners were not elves.
This only brings a curious implication: during the elvhenan empire, the only other race that existed, so far we were told via codices, was the dwarves as servants of titans. So, the further we can conclude in this place is that some dwarves may have been taken prisoners in here. Certainly, the vulgarity of the note seems to fit more a dwarf than an elf, if the ancient versions of these races still keep some cultural aspects of the modern ones.
Tumblr media
When we open the chest at the end of the corridor, some Greater Terror demons appear; probably the main demons fed by these prisoners. After defeating them we can have access to another item of  The Taken Shape set and the completion of the codex explained already in that post.
In general, I feel completely lost in this space. We can’t grasp what this jail was about, and there is no material or evidence to work on. Some elvhen were jailed here, since we see the elvhen paintings that may suggest elvhes trapped for experimentation or branding [the black halla with vallaslin elves inside her, and the shifting halla]. But there is also a very unrelated painting of the outlaws [the squeezed snake], and the note that gives us the certainty that some prisoners were not elvhen because their language is something that the Well of Sorrow can’t translate. Maybe these prisoners were related to this strange squeezed snake. Maybe they were dwarves, since it’s the only other humanoid race that  we know existed during the elvhenan kingdom. And all this place is decorated with the intimidating form of Mythal as a dragon. This is very, very mysterious.

I am the witness: notes on The image and the Witness
TRAUMA, MEMORY AND VISUAL CULTURE
image-saturated word
no trust in images
with so many images, no time to build relationship with an image
"The image is at its most stable when it is functional, goal-oriented, silently reinforcing a textual discourse" (p2)
testimonial art insists on accuracy and authenticity; the evidence is a principal function BUT trauma is "unrepresentable"
need for evidence (?)
scepticism towards the visual representation of historical trauma
profound influence of visual studies and trauma studies on humanities
"Within the context of bearing witness, material images do not merely depict the historical world, they participate in its transformation"
(p4)
there are many different possibilities to "bear witness through the use of material image" : film, photography, painting, sculpture, digital interfaces AND performance
"Physical materiality of the image is often the very basis of its capacity for involvement in bearing witness to past events"
(p7)
"Literary and textual representation was repeatedly deemed more honest, more responsible (...)" with autobiography as the most authentic
"Survivor testimony locates its truth value precisely in its subjectivity, in its production of embodied knowledge"
(p7)
IMAGE AS ICON:
from early Christianity images were bestowed with metaphysical powers
God is present in the image itself / likeness of God
our fundamental relationship to the image has not changed
image as the most convincing witness
image brings past into the present moment
"In theoretical and practical terms, the image makes present that which is absent"
"(...) The image offers the experience of a personal encounter through such iconic presence and this experience is understood to be its most authentic moment. Far more so than words, images are still perceived to have a power and an agency to bring to life- to bring into a particular kind of presence" (p.10)
ENCOUNTER:
encounter is central to any conception of bearing witness
addressing the other
giving testimony
listener/witness plays an important role in creation of the narrative that mitigates trauma
sharing the burden by becoming a witness
ultimate witness--the one who has not survived
narrativization and visualisation of trauma
"The repressed trauma thus repeatedly returns to the survivor in the form of an involuntary acting out and living through the event that denies the survivor any control over her traumatic past"
(p10)
writer and reader encounter produces the truth
image-based process of bearing witness
producing an image that may adequately, appropriately and authentically bear witness (in the here and now) to historical trauma
" (...) Local, cultural and historical differences necessitate variable theoretical models for understanding the dynamics of collective trauma"
(p13)
Question: what about personal trauma or is it historical if it's based in historical events?
"(...) individual and collective trauma are historically and culturally determined"
(p13)
collected memories vs collective memory
witnessing based on appropriation and re-use of found and archival images

The stated goal of the MVA morcha is to protect Maharashtra's "pride," which has allegedly been harmed by three factors: insulting remarks made by BJP leaders toward Maharashtra's icons, the alleged failure of the Shinde-Fadnavis administration to act forcefully in response to the recent flare-up of the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute, and the exodus of significant projects from the state.
According to a traffic police notification, the Maha Vikas Aghadi has organised a morcha from Richardson and Cruddas Company, J.J. Road to Sir J.J. Flyover Bridge, Times of India Building, and CSTM Junction on December 17 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
According to the police, traffic changes have been implemented and will remain in effect until the march is completed.

2,500 Cops Deployed In Mumbai Ahead Of MVA Morcha Today, BJP To Stage Counter-Protest
Mumbai will witness the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi's march against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's government. The ruling BJP will stage a counter-protest
Mumbai is all set to witness two protest marches today – one by the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi's (MVA) 'Halla Bol' protest against Eknath Shinde's government and the other one is a counter-protest by the ruling ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Tumblr media
Over 2,500 police personnel have been deployed on the streets to ensure that no troublesome incident takes place in the city, officials said.
Adequate number of police personnel has been deployed on the route of the march to maintain law and order, an official said.
As many as 317 police officers, 1,870 constables, 22 platoons of State Reserve Police Force and at least 30 squads of Riot Control Police will be on hand to maintain law and order, he said.
According to the leaders of Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress, one of the reasons for the MVA protest is the "insults" of the state's icons like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. The other reasons for the protest include, “atrocities” against Marathi-speakers in border areas of Karnataka, industrial projects being taken out of the state and "injustice” meted out to Maharashtra.
NCP supremo Sharad Pawar is likely to join MVA’s ‘Halla Bol’ Morcha today. He will then address a rally at the concluding point of the protest.
“The protest will showcase people's anger against the government of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction and BJP,” State Congress president Nana Patole said.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi's (MVA) 'Halla Bol' protest will start near J J Hospital and will end at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in south Mumbai.
The MVA protest is being seen as an attempt to rally the allies after the Uddhav Thackeray-led alliance government was toppled in June this year. Read More on..

Exalted Plains: Var Bellanaris
Tumblr media
Var Bellanaris can be translated as "Our Eternity." Hundreds of elves have been buried here. Although this land now belongs to Orlais, this part was never reclaimed by them.
[This is part of the series “Playing DA like an archaeologist”]
Tumblr media
The entrance of this graveyard has a landmark related to Gisharel, so once more, it’s an unreliable source. The entrance is decorated with hart statues and the walls have paintings of the elves ridding hallas in battle. More details in Nation Art: Elvhen.
Tumblr media
As it’s expected from a graveyard, it’s filled with inuksuit and urns of many types.
Tumblr media
Here is where we confirm that those stone lids with a strange symbol are always related to elven graves.
Tumblr media
Curiously, Ferelden [in particular in the Hinterlands] shows a similar design in grave lids, but the symbol on them is of an avvar/ferelden mabari.
As it can be seen, those lids cover the urns inside the earth. Each mound is protected by a wolf statue. Now, I can’t say this is an ancient elvhenan ruin originally, or it was part of an elvhen ruin repurposed as a graveyard by the elves of the Dales.
Tumblr media
Considering how things are in the Tomb of Elandrin, I don’t know if the original elvhenan ruins had the purpose of being a graveyard. But I think it’s safe to assume that the use of wolves on these mounds where the Dales elves were buried looks like something typical of the Dalisk Kingdom time: the Emerald Knight had companion wolves that protected them and fought with them, accompanied them even to death, so it seems natural to think that their wolf-companion represented in the shape of Fen’Harel statues would stay guarding their resting place for eternity. It also makes us think that the Elves from the Dales did not have such a negative perception of Fen’Harel and his wolves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only “Falon’Din detail” we find in this place is at the entrance to the underground ruins: Unadin grotto [the images have been altered with more brightness that they truly have because it’s impossible to see anything in them otherwise]. Inside we find typical inuksuit that mark this place as a crypt, some offerings, like incense, urns, and a broken statue of Dragon-Mythal.
Tumblr media
In front of three tombs of stone there is a stair that leads to another chamber where we see more tombs placed in different and important spaces along it. In the middle of it there is an urn in front of a small mausoleum. It feels like in this place, important Dalish may have been buried. But clearly not the most important ones, since in Emerald Graves we find the tree-graves for the most iconic Emerald Knights of that time.
At the base of the Archer statue, we find a single Red inuksuk.

scars
kali does not walk away from haven without a token to remember corypheus by. aside from the obvious mental scarring, she now sports a large scar across her cheek, a constant reminder of what she lost and how she nearly died. perhaps this is why she begins to grow her hair out, so she can hide it better.
