The skeleton could not fully understand the robot, but it could understand him. They were making progress! Jack made a friend! Truly, the work space in its entirety was a thrill for someone so fond of the sciences. Who knew humans were so far advanced?

The skeleton spun at the calm voice. The words made him giggle as he tilted his skull.

Je to takřka na den přesně rok, kdy americké Subaru společně s firmami Crawford Performance a Grabowski Brothers Racing představilo speciál Subaru Crosstrek Desert Racer určený pro závod Baja 500. Šlo spíše o buginu než o auto, původní model Crosstrek, tedy u nás XV, vlastně vůbec nepřipomínal. O to více stylu ale tahle pouštní hračka měla.

Firma Crawford Performance se rozhodla, že se znovu připomene a nabídne běžným zákazníkům, vlastnícím model Crosstrek možnost se pouštnímu speciálu alespoň trošku přiblížit. Do nabídky tedy zařadili nový podvozek, který Crosstrek – u nás Subaru XV – přizvedávají o něco výš. Abychom byli konkrétní, tak je to o dva palce, tedy 5 centimetrů vpředu a o 1,5 palce, tedy 3,8 centimetru vzadu. Nejde jen o samotný podvozek, ale také veškeré jeho komponenty, včetně rozpěr. Jízdní vlastnosti pak prý zůstanou zachovány, vlastně se možná trošku zlepší.

Aby svou práci předvedli v co možná nejlepším světle a zaujali opravdu na první pohled, upravili jeden vůz tak, jak by se líbil i nám. Kromě podvozku mu dali také kola obutá do terénních pneumatik, přidali světelnou rampu do spodní části předního nárazníku, ochranný rám toho zadního a hlavně legendární válečné barvy značky Subaru. Parádní změna u jednoho jinak vcelku nenápadného auta, co myslíte?  

Příspěvek Subaru XV ještě nikdy nevypadalo tak dobře. Úprava má připomínat offroadový speciál pochází z auto-mania.cz
