Rebeca Andrade and Simone Biles 🥇✨ I just had to make these absolute icons! turns out making real people in this game is so hard (huge respect for ppl who do it!!), and i wish i could've done better but im still learning how to use sliders and stuff. I had sooo much fun with this though, dare i say i even learned a bit about anatomy which is really cool ^_^ Anyways, had a blast waking up at 3 am just to watch the olympics, and i'm so proud of my girl Rebeca for winning that gold and making history in our country ♡

now that the olympics are officially over, i wanted to share some more of my favorite moments from the second week of these games:

Rebeca Andrade finally got her gold in floor!!!!

the kayak cross course in canoe slalom is wild, it starts with a huge drop into the water and ends with a required barrel roll

the entire men's pole vault final was awesome and had everything! Armand Duplantis of sweden broke the olympic record and his own world record while his fellow athletes cheered him on. Emmanouil Karalis won bronze for greece and gave Mondo (duplantis) a bandaid after he hurt his hand. Sam Kendricks, who won silver for the U.S., also cut his hand and wiped it off on his arm. Mondo's mom filmed his record breaking jump on an ipad. after making the jump, Mondo posed like Yusuf Dikeç (turkish shooter guy) and ran off to kiss his girlfriend. incredible. iconic. showstopping.

Mijaín López from cuba won his 5th CONSECUTIVE gold medal in greco roman wrestling. that's 20 straight years of being the reigning olympic champion

Arisa Trew, the 14 year old aussie who won gold in women's park skateboarding, is getting a pet duck from her parents for winning

a whale decided it wanted to try its fin at surfing during the surfing semi-finals

UK's skateboarding team looked like a middle school field trip with the class' favorite math teacher, except that teacher just happened to be 51 year old skating legend Andy Macdonald. just to put it into perspective, Andy Macdonald is on the same legend level as Tony Hawk. they're close friends and used to compete in vert doubles together. Tony Hawk cheered him on from the stands with Snoop Dogg, and he got a huge ovation after his run. also shout out to Sky Brown, who's 16 and got bronze again this year, even with a recent dislocated shoulder injury.

Might just be me being a biased stan here but kinda love that Simone's career as the Greatest Of All Time was somewhat bookended by two names definitely on the list of All Time Greats the sport has seen - Aliya Mustafina for the early years & Rebeca Andrade at the end.

The Holy Trinity of Gymnasts of the 21st Century so far, the three to have a world or Olympic medal on every event, that have a full set of Olympic medals, history makers and icons of the sport.

With Rebeca Andrade of Brazil taking the gold and Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles taking the silver and bronze, the podium for the medal ceremony in the women’s floor exercise could prove to be iconic.

“She’s so amazing. She’s queen,” Biles said of Andrade on Monday. “And first it was an all-Black podium, so that was super exciting for us. But then Jordan was like, ‘Should we bow to her?’ And I was like, ‘Absolutely.’ So we’re like, ‘Are we gonna do it now?’ And then, that’s why we did it. “But she’s, she’s such an excitement to watch. And then all the fans in the crowd, always cheering for her. So, it was just the right thing to do. It couldn't have been a better ending for Brazilian star Rebeca Andrade, who led her country to its first team artistic gymnastics medal last week, before claiming silver both the individual all-around and on vault.

US gymnast Simone Biles said it was "just the right thing to do" after she and team-mate Jordan Chiles bowed down to Brazil's Olympic gold medallist Andrade after the floor final in Paris.

Simone who is the world's most decorated gymnast, was far from disappointed and instead joined Chiles in showing admiration to Andrade in one of the iconic images of these Games.

The trio also made history as the first all-black podium in men or women's gymnastics at the Olympics.
