The Japanese fandom is speculating that with the release of “The Empty Coffin’s” prologue, another season could be likely! If that would be the case, then yay for all of us! I don’t want to celebrate this early, but yes, the stakes will be much higher. Just imagine Yukiya in school!
Anyway, Hope is the thing with feathers!
An excerpt. (Thank you @freshpizzalady for the link.)
“Have you heard? They say that this year some creepy monster will come to us. Today, the academy was expecting newcomers.”
“What kind of monster?”
“What do you mean, a skilful fighter?” The boy turned to his puzzled comrades.
“I don't know, but it seems he's the son of a great noble family. It's clear that his status is higher than anyone currently at Keisoin.”
“Of course.”
A sigh of understanding swept over a cluttered group of tables with food.
“So that's why the guys from Chuo were so worried! “
“They're probably worried about losing their own standing.”
“Even if they don't mess up, it's going to be impossible for those guys to strut around like they used to."
“After all, they were only capable of flaunting their status. If a newcomer of higher rank than them comes in, they'll be the ones running around trying to curry favor this time.”
“What nonsense!” Ichirryu threw his excited classmates. He was also interested in hearing about the “creepy monster,” but such nonsense sounded ridiculous.
“You know him too, don't you?” Only now Ichirryu noticed another newcomer, who was hiding behind the body of the giant boy.
He was quite small, and Ichirryu straightened up to look more impressive. But then a terribly familiar voice sounded: “Of course. I don't just know, but I would even say that Ichirryu and I are childhood friends. Although now he's a senpai, and I'm a kohai, and I can't do what I want anymore. And yet I'm glad I can trust my roommate.”
And he laughed cheerfully. This laughter evoked memories that I would like to forget, but it will not work out. Unbearable pain and endless abuse. The same smiling face and the piercing laughter of a madman. Ichirryu’s worst nightmare came out from behind Shigemaru's back. Reddish soft bangs, inexpressive, inconspicuous features. The face is harmless, but the character is given by cunningly sparkling creepy eyes.
“It's been a long time, Ichirryu-san. Glad to meet you again. Allow me to reintroduce myself, I'm Yukiya from Taruhi. Looking forward to working with you.” Yukiya said with a sparkling smile. Hearing these words, Ichiryuu moaned.

Ichirryu fom the manga Volume 5; Episode 2, The Blockhead Second Son
Can’t believe that Ichirryu had a PTSD when it came to Yukiya. That encounter in the second episode of the anime where Ichirryu underestimated the boy, he was almost beaten to death. Only Yukima’s intervention had prevented it. And Yukiya’s reputation is so well-known.

I was so glad to see some of the Keisouin boys in ep. 2! Especially Shige! And it finally explained the scene in the book where Ichiryuu considered Yukia as a monster.
By the way, they have shown in ep. 14 of the anime the death of little Eita from Shimaki... And his whip-top he's got from Shige-nii.
It also gives some hopes for S2!
