This thing, Starbucks' Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, is fucking delicious, FYI. Tastes like an actual apple crisp. 10/10, A+, no notes, will drink again.

The Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte is pretty good, too, but a teeny bit on the cloying side for me.

Chapter 2

“Blonde Vanilla latte for …SB.” He hated being tall sometimes. The way he had to awkwardly scoot through people at the packed Starbucks to get this drink, and the annoyed looks he got. It’s just that his limbs felt awkward to operate in such a small space and it didn’t help that he was wearing a mask, just to give himself some semblance of privacy. He’s not a giant, it’s just a small Starbucks:(. He collected his drink and headed towards the door until a familiar voice stopped him.

“Soobin?” She said as she stood up to get a better look and make sure she’s not mistaking this long man for another. Soobin slowly turned around to see her and a smile of relief came across his masked face to see it’s not a fan. He loved MOA but today was so peaceful. It was raining, it was fall, he had a day off and there was a new episode of JJK dropping tonight at midnight. Things couldn’t be more perfect.

“Oh, hi.” he said awkwardly with a small wave. Normally, he wouldn’t let anything derail what in his mind was a perfect day. But he hadn’t seen you around as much recently. He knew you and Yeonjun were incredibly close (he had plenty of chances to hear just how close you were at the dorms) if you didn’t see each other every day he’d at least call or FaceTime you more than any NORMAL person would. So your lack of presence or mention of your name was very jarring, and Yeonjun’s new mood went along with that. He’d never let anything derail his perfect day, but for the sake of finding out the drama/situation he decided to walk over and talk to you.

“How are you?” he says with a smile.

“Good, good … it’s um, good to see you.” There was a bit of silence before she offered for him

to sit in the empty seat at her table. Which he agreed to. But as soon as he sat, he quickly realized that there was nothing to talk about. He couldn’t very well just open up with “hey so did you and Yeonjun break up or something?” That would be ridiculous.

“So… nice weather we’re having, huh?” Oh, lovely, nice weather… it’s fucking raining.

“I know right! I love when it rains during the day. I love the fall. Makes me wanna take a walk and listen to music, you know? Or stay home and just… feel settled.” She had a small smile on her face as she looked out the window. He stared at her for a second before following her gaze.

“That’s uh…actually why I’m here today.” she continued, “I just, I don’t know, needed something warm to drink and an excuse to leave my house. So what better than an apple crisp macchiato? Very fitting for the season don’t you think?” Soobin looks down at the drink in her hand. She’s pulled the fabric of her sleeves to cover her hands as she holds the drink.

“But it’s iced.” He says matter-of-factly. She lightly chuckles.

“Look, I said I NEED something warm, that doesn’t mean I GOT something warm.” Soobin rolled his eyes at her comment, gently smiling at her sarcasm. Not that she could see it with the mask covering his face.

“I get it.” He says, “Sometimes you need to pick me up a little.” She smiles and lets out a quick hmpf.

“ I honestly just needed a drink that wasn’t alcohol…”

And the tension was back. Followed by silence.

“I’m really sorry” she says “I was feeling a bit too comfortable, I guess.” She does a quick fake smile again. “I’m just…” she sighs “having a hard time at the moment…”

This was his opening to see what the situation was. “Is um… is everything okay?” In all honesty she had no reason to talk to HIM about this. They barely spoke to each other. And talking about her…whatever Yeonjun was to her, would almost certainly get back to him. But what the hell, he thought.

She sighs again and looks down at the table. “I’m sure you've already noticed my lack of presence at the dorm and Yeonjun’s mood change and probably gathered it had to do with me?”

“In all honesty, Yeonjuns been more quiet than anything else. Not a big mood change on the outside if I’m being honest.” she does quick chuckled scoff and makes a face.

“Wow… well it definitely feels great to know I meant so little.” Her voice gets smaller as she ends the sentence. So Soobin speaks up, realizing he was too blunt, and tries to save the situation.

“Well… I only mean that he’s more focused and quiet. To the outsider, he seems fine like he’s hard at work, but I think we both know it’s a coping mechanism. We tried to talk to him about what's been bothering him because he INSISTED he’s fine.”

She sighs again. “I’m sorry if it’s affecting anything you guys have going on. You work so hard I'd hate to mess that up. But if I’m being honest, I’m not sorry to him because he deserved what I said with half the shit he pulled.”

Soobin DESPERATELY wanted to ask what it was that got you so obviously riled up. But he didn't know what to overstep. He pulled down his mask and took a quick sip of his coffee as she was speaking, quickly swallowing and nodding to reassure her she’s done nothing wrong, shaking his head and hands together very cutesy. She quietly giggles at his actions and exhales again, returning her gaze to the table for a moment then back to the window.

“I know how he feels… At least I think I do. But I’d like to know what’s going through his mind. How I can approach this is in the right way without us pushing each other further away.”

Soobin really wishes he had context but he can see she genuinely feels bad for something he bets wasn’t even her fault. He loved Yeonjun, he was like a brother to him, but he knew better than anybody that sometimes he’ll say what’s on his mind without thinking and whatever he said this time must’ve really gotten him in trouble.

“I wish I could help or give you some advice.” He said trying to empathize with you. Unfortunately, seeing a scenario like this play out before with Yeonjun. It’s not like he was a bad guy. It’s just the fact that his mouth gets away from him. But Soobin knows that you must know that, otherwise you wouldn’t have stayed around for as long as you did. He knew that you were different, you weren’t a friend or a girlfriend, you were something else. Soobin couldn’t put his finger on it. In fact, he thinks part of the problem is the fact that Yeonjun and you couldn’t put your finger on it either. Either way, if he wasn’t curious before he sure as hell is curious now to know what Yeonjun said to make someone like you walk away.

She had seemed to be zoning out before but when he spoke she perked up and looked him in the eyes for the first time since he sat down. “Well since you offered, I actually have a great plan if you're down?” Her gaze was intimidating but soft. He can clearly see the colors of your eyes with the amount of eye-contact you’re now making and even though you’re asking a friendly question, your intensity makes him feel as if he’s about to get yelled at.

He tilted his head in a confused way and then asked hesitantly, “W-what did you have in mind?”

Oh no, a London fog is too sweet for Alastor. He’s partial to black coffee; if he’s able, just straight espresso, or a nice French press.

Vaggie doesn’t know what her order is, but Charlie always knows what to get her; an iced black and white mocha with raspberry syrup

Charlie does like her coffee sweet, but she needs a lot of caffeine to keep up with all the happening I. Her hotel, so she usually gets a brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso with at LEAST 3 extra shots.

Lucifer would definitely get the iced apple crisp oatmilk macchiato, but I got a friend who’s convinced that he’s sensitive to caffeine and opts out for hot chocolate, instead.

Angel is the basic white girl of the starbies run; he has to get an aesthetically pleasing drink, so probs a pink drink with matcha cold foam, or and iced matcha with strawberry cold foam

Sir Pen is too nervous to ask the barista for anything other than a house blend, for a couple reasons; he doesn’t wanna inconvenience any of them by ordering something complicated. He’d be too inclined to order everything they recommend l. That, and he’ll never remember the entire order of the recommendation.

Delighted to report I finally cracked the code on my quest to successfully emulate Starbuck's Apple Crisp macchiato—and the secret is Oatly Barista Edition. That was the magic I was missing in my previous (admittedly still tasty) attempts. Not that anyone else is this obsessed about a seasonal apple pie flavored coffee drink as me, but for future reference, to create a 16 oz cup:

2 pumps syrup (aka 1 tbsp/0.5 oz)

3/4 cup Oatly Barista Edition oat milk floated on top of syrup

ice filled to 2 inches below the rim of the glass

top with 2 shots of blonde espresso

drizzle with spiced apple drizzle (or be lazy like me and just use this, it's close enough and lasts forever in the fridge)

hi hello i very much enjoy your house + starbucks posts and with a few recent mentions of them i feel okay asking: what would you say about masters, park, and adams regarding hypothetical starbucks

ooh thank you!! i’m always excited when people enjoy my starbucks posts, I really enjoyed being a barista even though it paid horribly 🤣 And I love thinking of coffee orders for characters so thank you for requesting these three!! <33

Adams: caramel macchiatos for sure, almost always hot, but occasionally an iced one in the summer when it’s just too hot for hot coffee! in the fall I think she’d really enjoy the new seasonal apple crisp macchiato (she gets tired of PSLs). In the winter she’d love any of the gingerbread drinks for sure!

Park: Park gives me the vibes of a person who can and would drink almost anything at Starbucks and enjoy it. She just wants the caffeine and likes all the flavors, she’s not super picky and likes to mix it up and try new ones a lot! She strikes me as someone who likes to ask the barista what their favorite is and then order one of those. I think if she told me to make whatever fits I’d go with a dirty chai (a chai latte with espresso, two shots for her since she needs the caffeine) made with either oat milk or almond milk, and some cinnamon powder on top.

Masters: This one was the hardest to nail down, and then it came to me like a vision of the holy grail. Masters is a medicine ball girl. The real name for it is “honey citrus mint tea” and that’s what she’d call it because she’s lovely and polite and she’d always double check that we had honey in the back to use before ordering one. The recipe for it that I always use is one bag of citron green tea, one bag of peppermint herbal tea, two packets of raw honey, half hot water, and half steamed lemonade. Usually it’s a hassle to make these but Masters is so lovely and would always be so nice to chat with that I’d make one for her anytime, no problem <3

first day back at work was hectic but not so bad! i got a lot done and the time really flew. plus it was fun to see my coworkers who i haven't been able to see all week, it was good to get all the gossip i missed :)

starbucks - in the fall i love a good iced apple crisp macchiato!!! its so good to have on a windy fall day. but in the winter i love a good peppermint mocha (my regular order is an iced white chocolate mocha, so its just a nice little way to spice up my morning)

fic - okokokok so there's this fic i wanna write that features figure skater geno and ice hockey player sid wherein geno was forced to be a figure skater for some reason or other and the company he skates for isnt good. then he has an accident on ppg ice because hes on an exhibition tour (secretly started by sid bc sid saw geno at the olympics and was mesmerized) and all of geno's stuff was taken, so he's basically trapped in the usa until they can get all his documents and figure wtf is happening. meanwhile everyones trying to convince geno to reveal the terrible abuse he and other skaters have faced at the hands of the company but hes nervous because of the dirt the company has on him. so basically lots and lots of angst and sadness and tears

novel - i have!!!! so many novels!!!! there's the novel with casey, julian, and nate, which is a hockey horror novel where each time has their own eldritch god that bonds with the captains/alternates/goalies, and casey (who is none of those) bonds with it, and shit goes bad for all involved. then theres the novel with lawrence and dallas where a pinkerton agent in the wild west (lawrence) has to hunt down outlaw dallas, and lawrence has no idea that dallas is a malicious spirit who's goal is to murder lawrence. idk which one im gonna write next after my current novel, but im gonna!!

casey has a scar on his throat from where his dad cut him but it wasnt deep enough

demps has gotten many contract offers from professional teams as they traveled through but he always rejects them because he enjoys the simplicity/routine of his current life and he couldnt leave tim without regretting it later.

poptart flavor - brown sugar cinnamon!! i havent eaten a poptart in years, but that was always a favorite, especially after putting it in the toaster for a bit.

saw - i have not! i wanted to see jigsaw and spiral but i just have never gotten around to watching it tho. theres so many horror movies i want to see and need to get caught up on tbh

my coffee HAS to be iced. no point in getting hot coffee imo. just get hot chocolate or tea. (but I usually prefer my tea iced too 😋) and I love sweet coffee. I never ask for whole milk. I love oatmilk because it's so creamy and tasty. I also always get the largest size because I finish drinks really fast and like having more of it. my top favorite orders from Starbucks/DD areee:
