The Come Up originally started as a pop-up party held in a small hidden venue in Gardena. After 6 months or so, I had to pull the plug, but that didn’t stop me from trying to get this going again. I set it aside and focused my energy on a couple of other things, 51st & Baltimore and my family company, Family First Hospice. When I saw that @klbpfm were looking for new shows and programs, I had to jump on that opportunity. Submitted a few sample shows, didn’t get a response for a few months, but eventually got contacted by the stations board members. They were excited to bring me on and i was pumped to be a part of the station. The show was originally titled something else, but i changed it to what it is now. This is a predominately hip hop and r&b based music show, but I always stray away to play tracks I’m feelin at the moment; so don’t be surprised if you hear some pop, funk, soul or even house music. Music is meant to be shared and I’m happy to be given an outlet that’ll let me do my thing. . Tune in every Friday from 6-7pm on 99.1fm KLBP or stream the program on KLBP.org. The genres and styles of music will change throughout the program, but the energy will always stay the same. . I was attempting a shot with us both, and sort of managed it? Hair is in transition, just waiting on some sample color packs to try (I’m thinking mint this time around if I can swing it. I almost defaulted to pink but I did pink for a good ten years and honestly, I gotta little bored with it) -what I really want is gray hair, but it’s taking its sweet time and I’m not really into the transition. I’ve been waiting for my hair to go grey since my 20’s and it took until my late 30’s before I finally saw my first. Now I’m encroaching mid 40’s and it’s still just barely peppering. It’s driving me cray, so get with it hair. I want to see WHITE 😔 -couldn’t think about bothering with it though while the Bean was going through chemo, but now that round one is over and it seems like it might be another few years before I get enough gray in to satisfy my need, I figure I’ll mess around with it some.
