‘Irv’ Robbins (Jewish), returned as an army sergeant in WWII. Using money he saved from his #BarMitzvah, Irv joined forces with his brother-in-law Bert Baskins (also Jewish), to open their first Baskin-Robbins (31 flavors) ice cream parlor in Glendale CA in 1948.

About 30 years later, in 1978, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, two Jewish friends from Long Island NY, founded Ben & Jerry's in Burlington VT.
