What fic have you been working on the longest? What scenes from a fic you’re working on now are you the most excited to write?

The fic I have been working on the longest is "Ice and Blood". That was the first multichapter fic I ever started. It got put on the back burner when I started writing my "Alternative Timeline" series so I think I started it in 2018/2019.

It remained untouched for a long time and my writing improved a lot so I wasn't sure if I'd come back to it. But recently I've been working on it again and I have some new ideas of how to end it and connect it to some other fics I have. So I think I will finish it eventually!

The scenes I am most excited to write is Steve's pov when he goes to 'The Retreat'. This is the 'terrible, horrible, no good, very bad cabin' I've written about a few times on here. The fic is focused on Steve right after the ice, so I'm excited to have a fic addressing that!

(fun fact! every color in bill's clothes, breakup recovery objects, and furniture were color picked from ford's body! yes bill did get a leather couch the same color as ford's flesh!)

But Bucky isn’t here. No one is. Steve lets out a slow breath, trying to suppress the sudden urge to flee the room.

"Any nausea or dizziness?" Doctor Lee asks him.

He almost flinches at the volume of her voice, but he latches onto her words in an effort to stabilise himself.

"No ma’am," he replies tightly, busy trying to get his senses under control.

He discounts the bout of vertigo that he had experienced upon finding out that he had woken up 70 years in the future. The doctors are trying to determine if he was sick from the ice, and his dizziness then had nothing to do with the ice.
