okay so small bean noah here. tighten your seatbelt kids, you’re in for a ride.

he’s bff with this kiddo ( @telepcth ), yikes. which means that 1. he’s from London –– he’s a brit my friends –– and 2. that well, he’s telepathic too!

anyways, noah was always an odd one. which was shit. sure he liked to play and eating candies, but he wasn’t much of a speaker but rather a listener. which was always good for his father that complained non-stop about his work.

he’d barely speak a few words and would rather spend most of his time observing. he felt like no one truly understood him, until claire. 

he didn’t understand why the other kids didn’t like him. he laughed sometimes, he’d play with them, but apparently he wasn’t fun enough.

which maybe it’s why he became angry, i guess. 

in middle school, noah would get good grades, love to play soccer/football and watch tv. pretty normal, pretty cool.

but then at one point, he had a crush on this girl ( idk who guys ) and he wanted to tell her. but with a ringing, came thoughts –– they weren’t his, they were hers. so he did what he always do, he listened. and lemme tell you, that was a kick in the balls for youngster noah, all these nasty thoughts about him. needless to say he was upset. he went home and kicked, cried and punched ( a wall that is ). he was so young, so so young.

and his brain, it heard whispers and thoughts, like a radio he couldn’t turn off. there was good and bad, terrible, murderous, loving. he shouted, told his dad he didn’t want it anymore. it shook him to his core. all these raw, emotional thoughts, he could FEEL them. 

his father thought he has schizophrenia, but soon learnt, that he was just a mutant. 

mr. verona didn’t have much time for his kid anyways, so avoiding him wasn’t so hard. 

since the age of nine, noah packed his own lunchbox and did everything on his own. and if it wasn’t for claire, i don’t know how he would’ve turned out. 

it took a while before he learn how to make his brain shut up. but there was always a buzzin’ that simply didn’t want to go away. 

death tw : when he was about fourteen i’d say, was the day he hoped never to see. the young verona always wanted some peace and quiet and his recipe for it was...long walks at night. it was all fun and games until, he hear in an alley, a few grunts. since he hadn’t hit puberty yet, he looked at what was happening and saw two humans beating up/killing a mutant just because. the thoughts, the blood and the screams in his mind was too much. so he just ran and ran and ran. until he got home. 

after being paranoid and claire causing a scene at school, he was sent to icarus, hoping for something a little better. 

okay now that he’s not a small child anymore, look at the glow up: verona is a doodler, he doodles, incredibly well. but he’s never shown anyone except to his best friend. and so that’s how he got all the tattoos. it wasn’t for him, it was other people’s. stories, thoughts, that shaped him being him. and so he gets them on his body. although if you ask, he’ll just shrug and be sarcastic telling you it’s because he’s cool. 

i mentioned this before but he is angry, so so angry. it’s pent up anger, those assasins’ anger, other’s anger and he’s fuelled by it. he’s gotten in constant fights at icarus, yikes. 

he’s distant and probs has 0.000003 friends. like he doesn’t open up, he figured that since others can open up to him, he doesn’t have to do the same. 

he’s pretty nice in the sense that he won’t do mind games ( unless he hates you ) and will leave you to be. rarely will have a sneak peak in your brain, but it’s harmless. 

idk he’s a problematic child, despite being smart af. he just doesn’t know how to love right.

01. BASICS !

milo is seventeen, he was born in brooklyn, nyc and lived there up until he moved to boston to attend icarus ! he’s a fourth yr

both his parents are mutants -- his mother has the ability of light manipulation and his father telekinesis. milo was born with neither of his parents’ mutant genes. 

his parents are very weary of humans and also haven’t quite accepted the fact that milo doesn’t have any mutant abilities -- they’re still waiting for the day that it’s discovered -- hence the reason why they enrolled him @ icarus. ( also, his mom is an icarus alumnus )

milo thinks that’s a steaming pile of bullshit. although, he didn’t object to being sent to icarus bc 1. prestige / it’s a great school in gen and 2. he thinks its super progressive that icarus is integrating humans into their school

he wants to major in poli sci in college to do something within the realm of law / public policy. milo very much believes the mutant and human communities can absolve their issues diplomatically, and he wants to pursue a career helping to do just that !

02. PERSONALITY !

he loves being right and is a little bit of a self-righteous asshole oops 

loyal to a fault, passionate abt his opinions, a little hot-headed but he’s aware of it so curbs it by trying to be more pragmatic

loves history !! and writing ! ( he’s a goddamn nerd and rlly enjoys most of the essays he’s assigned in school ) and ofc politics !

tends to wrap a lot of insecurities / gushy feelings under layers n layers of sarcasm

03. EXTRA BITS !

never really grew out of his middle school emo boi phase -- the only difference now is that he’s less hot topic, more urban outfitters

Amelia Eckhart

She’s 36 years old and was born in Boston, Massachusetts. 

She’s a mutant and her ability is to make astral projections, basically, she’s able to leave her body at will and explore the universe, other dimensions, and the spiritual realm. it also gives her capabilities of entering people’s dreams. 

At Icarus Academy, she teaches the Psychology class, since she majored in Psychology at Brown. 

She’s a spiritual person, she believes in karma and can be a little bit cruel with her appreciations sometimes.

However, she is sociable, she likes to listen to people and cheer them up, just don’t get on her bad side being dishonest or unloyal. 

Her childhood was pretty normal, she has a younger brother named Connor, who’s also a mutant and has telepathic powers.

She was married for a brief time to a man that rejected her once he found out about her gift. The marriage didn’t last a year. The breakup was terrible for her, but also helped her in honing her skills and become more patient and less hateful, that’s how she reached the true illumination that allows her to project herself into people’s dreams. 

She devotes herself to her students, helping them overcome the insecurities that their gifts bring sometimes. She’s determined in making all mutants accept themselves as they are, not hiding from society.

Amelia is quite vocal with her opinions and won’t keep things to herself, this trait might get her into trouble when in need of some secrecy or diplomacy.

She’s quite open minded and she considers herself demisexual. For her sexual encounters are all about emotions and energy, no matter the gender of the person she’s involved with.

BACKSTORY

henry had a relatively normal childhood until he was about eight, when his parents got divorced. since then it was a life of celebrating two birthdays, thanksgivings, christmases, y’all get the gist. there was no reconciliation in sight n he absolutely hated it.

on his 16th birthday he was so stressed out because his parents both decided to hold it at the same day, same time bc they were being selfish and terrible. henry was getting really sick of all the conflict and decided to just humor his parents a bit more, at least until he finished high school, and he could finally move away from the mess. so our boy did the classic party switcheroo trope without either parent knowing, not wanting to upset them and cause drama.

little did he know that the rush and anxiety that came with switching from one party to another triggered something in his weird, rare genetics that would allow him to accidentally replicate himself that day. in the midst of it all, he noticed he had been experiencing two events simultaneously, controlling two bodies at once. he was so distraught initially, thinking the stress had driven him crazy, but it was happening, he just couldn’t explain it.

realizing how this could work to his advantage, henry just .... went with it, lmao. and he ended up having a BLAST, the lil shit. he actually managed to pull it off without people freaking out on him, and no beans were spilled.

that is, of course, until their parents’ mutual friends spilled their confused “but i never saw him leave the party how could he have been at yours literally at the same time” beans and got him busted. henry was then forced to demonstrate what he did at the party, leaving them bewildered... and terrified. after all, there had been some controversy regarding mutants and their usage of power, and it turns out, their son had been one all along.

they found out about icarus academy and decided to send him to school there, where he could stay safe and possibly learn to temper his abilities. but it totally backfired, as icarus ended up becoming a space for henry to even practice self-replication. of course, using one’s powers was strictly banned on campus, so this only forced him to perfect his control on replication in order to keep it a secret. he started with two, then three, then ten, and so on.

he learned how to cultivate a hive mind within him and his replicas, so he would be able to control all of them simultaneously, while still being able to function in his original body. he can also absorb and carry information through all of his replicas, which can then become collective information for all bodies. the catch of a hive mind ability, though, is that the singular mind also carries the ability to feel. so when someone touches or hurts henry, be it a replica henry or not, every other body feels it, too. think sense8, only it’s a singular person so there isn’t much conflict wrt thought and reaction.

to this day, his replication record is 72 (!!!) replicas. he’s been in icarus for two years, using and working on his powers the entire time. he’s aware it’s against the rules, but he doesn’t think he would have lasted this long in the academy otherwise.

PERSONALITY

he’s an isfp, which means he’s big on living in the moment with cheerful but quiet enthusiasm. he doesn’t necessarily crave !!!Adventure!!!, but rather, sensory stimulation, so he’ll enjoy anything arts-related. he loves films n would like to create his own one day

v v v impulsive and has little to no patience. will knock u tf out if ur an asshole without even thinking!!! but this also applies to ppl he deeply cares about — he will fite for u to the ends of the earth if u ask him. he’s a puppy ok

can get a little mopey sometimes, especially when alone and/or he is reminded of how much the world sucks. he also has the tendency to snap at ppl, but most of the time he doesn’t mean it, he just finds it difficult to collect himself & his emotions. all in all though he’s quite pleasant n agreeable, just don’t piss him off or bring up trickle-down economics

kinda smart but also kinda dumb, he likes talking about ~deep~ stuff he’s not all that capable of discussing. also likely to space out and maybe think about how awesome the “holding out for a hero” sequence in shrek 2 is while discussing homework with someone. he’s also v “what if”-oriented, and sometimes says and does impulsive things simply for the sake of seeing how it plays out

highkey a flirt!!! he tends to crush on ppl quickly and intensely, but the attraction is usually short-lived. loves the chase, rarely ever the reward. don’t indulge him 

all his replicas have the same personality, and he’s really bad at pretending to be someone else so replica or not, it’s still p much him in terms of “authenticity.” he’s an honest guy despite the duplicitous nature of his powers (and, well, the situation at home).

another fun fact: he absolutely abhors his name — jacques henry — so if he introduces himself to u as ‘smith’ (as in agent smith from the matrix) please call him that!!! henry is alright for acquaintances, and for people who just want to spite him

TL;DR - after his parents’ bad divorce, henry was forced into living two lives, one with each parent, triggering his weird genetics and giving him self-replicating abilities. he was sent to icarus when his parents found out about it, and he has since then been able to manipulate his powers better.

She prefers headphones, they provide a more immersive experience.

Amelia loves to meditate, it makes her feel better and grounds her. .

Lots of things, she is not very patient sometimes, she can be snappy and that embarrasses her a lot. She stuttered when she was a kid and even when she went to therapy, sometimes when under stress she can start to stutter again.

Bali or Thailand.

Rose.

She loves the outdoors, she likes camping and staying in natural environments.

She is not fond of them, but knows the reach of any corrupt government. She thinks everybody lies.

Yes, she’s confident of her body and treats it like a temple. She has no reservations.

Sleep and social life. Grades are not important for her right now, she’s a natural when it comes to that.
