❝ You met her once ? ❞ She put some emphasis on the last word - why was there a plate for someone who would not be there , she wondered ? It only prompted some curiosity from the angel . ❝ I was under the assumption that she would join us today .❞ It was alright - she was not in a place to judge anything , nor did she want to .
There was yet another warm smile at the little robots helping around , she had assumed that they could as well hear and understand her well , but she wanted to confirm her thoughts , the souls inside the robots still intrigued her - she was all too aware they were living things , not just for Orianna - they seemed to have some personality of their own .❝ And I like ball too - I can only be grateful to such a display of hospitality . ❞
She lifted up her fork a couple more times to finish the last piece of pancake on it , before she set it neatly onto the plate once again . ❝ Since I'll be staying here for a while - I figure you would like to know certain things about me , though I would prefer not to go into much deeper detail on some things - I am mostly glad to answer any possible questions that might surge . ❞
With the last comment , she took off her cloak finally - revealing her pair of pointy ears and the wings on her upper back that now fluttered a bit upwards .
β€œYou saw her shrines on our way here. Not the ones to the gray lady, the ones with birds and ocean motifs. I met her once, a long time ago - You would get along.” She doesn’t need to get the attention of the bots, who are already preparing more food for Morgana.
β€œI am glad.” Orianna works through her own meal a bit more slowly as Morgana asks her to relay a message. She stares back, blinking. β€œThey understand you - human speech.” In essence, Ori was speaking for her friends with no voices, but they heard just fine. In fact, one pours out a small smiley face of syrup and a heart. They heard Morgana just fine.
β€œBall likes you. That means most of these beings will also support you.” Ball does a little spin of agreement, tilting in a way that almost looks like it’s puffing out its chest in pride.

❝ Demacia is a place where only certain people are allowed to freely exist . I did not agree with it . ❞ She clarified before peeking her head over to the pile of fish and biting a bunch . They were perfect . Once she was done with that , she continued , ❝ I know how strange it sounds , but that only speaks as to how terrible things are over there . I need to help , but I could just run away for now . ❞
ligatusalasβ€Œ:
❝ Ionia … A land I had only seen in books . Have I traveled this far ? ❞ A small giggle ❝ It was protecting them which got me exiled in the first place . ❞ She laid back down , now under the perception that it was safe to do so . She noticed Irelia scooting away slightly and the flames began to burn less ❝ My apologies .❞
β€œYou have. You were exiled for helping someone?” Irelia frowns deeply displeased to hear this. She peeks at her strange new companion. β€œNo need to apologize, I simply enjoy the cold.”

A glare was shot up at the demon at the mention of those words . A winged protector - a bittersweet word that brought back so many memories . Her purple eyes glowed a little .
❝ You do not . ❞ She affirmed once again . ❝ And I would advise you not to toy around with those words - I am not in a very good mood .❞
ligatusalasβ€Œ:
❝ You know nothing about me , demon . ❞ She frowned . There was no need for her to feel pleasure from hurting others - she only did what she felt was right to help them - nothing more , and nothing less .
❝ Perhaps it is good you find it uninteresting either way . You won’t find much suffering to absorve , since I cannot let you torment the souls I have just helped .  ❞
Evelynn laughs, a claw trailing along the branch of the tree she has perched herself upon.Β β€œAnd what of your suffering little aspect?” A dangerous smile curls her lips.Β β€œDon’t think I do not know of you, forgotten winged protector.”

Morgana's face dripped with sadness . With sorrow , worry . Why was this happening ? Why were they cursed with these powers ? Morgana wrapped her wings further onto Kayle's body . She had cast a black shield that would block out their presence . She leaned a bit into her sister's touch .
There was no time for Kayle to be stubborn . Morgana was worried , her hands went to remove the heavy helmet and toss it away from her sister's head , and then pressing her forehead against hers .
" Please ... Kayle ... Let me do this . I can endure it . You are the only one that can cure those wounds - I can ... I can only give you relief . Please just listen to me for ONCE . You cannot die here . I won't forgive you ... "
ligatusalasβ€Œ:
And then she perceives the hint of her sister’s bright soul fading . It was there , but it was weak , so , so painfully weak . She wouldn’t make it in time - she wouldn’t - not unless …
Her chains dropped to the ground and her wings spread out . It had been so long since she used them , she leapt into the sky , dark wings emerging from her back . The aspect flew towards the faint glimmer of Kayle’s soul , only to find her in such a state .
She descends and quickly begins to link her soul chains to Kayle’s . It would only work if she let her - they were not powerful enough to obstruct into each other’s souls . She did so in hopes to absorb her pain , to keep her alive - she couldn’t die , no . She couldn’t . Her black stained cheeks became wet from the tears on her eyes .
β€œ Kayle … Please … ”
Her eyes open, dull gold meeting the bright purple of her sisters. Had she, rolled onto her back? Had Morgana moved her? Kayle can’t figure out the answer, but she can feel the wings wrapping around her. The chains begging for entrance. It is with great effort that she lifts her hand and presses it to her sisters cheek, where she wipes away one of the tears.Β
β€œYou’re-” Safe.
Β Too weak to keep it lifted, her hand drops back to her armored chest. It’s a great amount of effort not to pass out. But still she does not let Morgana in, refuses to share her pain. This is hers to bear for her failure, not Morganas.Β
She feels- So tired.

She closed her eyes and rested her head on Syndra's shoulder . There was no response to the question , she reached out softly to the other's shoulder blades and pulled herself into the other's embrace further . She craved the affection - She had become progressively more attached ... And she had begun to think that perhaps... It wasn't so bad .
" Hug me - "
Syndra did not question it right away, simply running her hand down Morgana's arm and to her hand. She grasped it and pulled her into her embrace, arms around Morgana's shoulders almost possessively. "Something wrong, dear?" She finally inquired, fingers playing idly with Morgana's hair.

It was so very strange - everything about this woman . Either way , she figured , she could not leave her to her own devices under such a heavy rain . The thought of company at the moment seemed like a bittersweet one - she was not afraid of showing her emotions to any other - she was not one to hide them ... But she had become so used to those lone moments where she was able to grief without anyone asking questions .
One of the few perks of immortality was that , for a being like Morgana - it allowed her to learn as much as the world was able to offer . Her hands motioned in response to the other's - after she had been so kindly explained to in a simpler way : I understand you .
Still - the message did not make much sense . ❝ There is a a thunderstorm outside . Even to be as close to the entrance would be a stretch to the human ear . ❞ She paused . Another empath , it was a stretch - but such a soul could hardly be confused with a normal one - it had a soft texture , bright - ever so lightly stained by colors around - ever changing . Now that she was closer , she could see . ❝ But you're not wrong .❞
She took the other's hand ever so delicately, but not to be pulled into her embrace , not to give in to the other's aid - but to guide her further into the cave - human bodies were frail , and there was not a chance she was letting this one suffer after she had been on the rain for so long . She offered some robes to cover herself with - to dry herself .
| @ligatusalas // cont from [here]
Rain drips from her as though she is still in the storm, drawing lines across her face - as though she is crying along with Morgana. As if the storm outside cries too. The musician, with her eyes bright as any star, gaze upon Morgana with an unwavering gaze.
β€œI heard…” Her hands form the first few words in the Demacian standard for sign language, only to drop away. She would not be understood. Her hands move to different motions, pantomiming instead. First a hand upon heart. β€˜I.’ Then to brush against her ear, sliding wet strands back.Β β€˜Hear.’ Then back to her heart, where her hand rolls upward gently and extends, gesturing towards -Β β€˜You.’ And finally, her hand brushes against her own cheek, fingertips seemingly brushing against the corner of her eye, just at the cheekbone. As if to wipe away tears.Β β€˜Tears.’
I heard you crying. I heard the call. I couldn’t pretend not to. These words lay unspoken as she steps closer, as the famous ( or infamous, depending on who you asked ) Sona reaches out with a trembling hand, feeling altogether unsure of herself. She shouldn’t be seeing this. She can’t ignore it. How many times had she wished…
Her business, it seems, is simple compassion. She has not the words to say it. You looked like you needed a friend. Do you need a hug? Let me help you. She can only reach out, can only admit the truth. That she had heard the impossible, she had heard the sound of a lonely woman crying through the rain.
And now she was here, with neither pity nor judgement in her eyes. She was just here and that was all.

There is not a word - she had lost far too much blood . Her already dark figure was stained in black from the bleeding pouring and mixing with the textures on her dress - dripping from her mouth . Is this what it feels to die ? She had shared the experience before - drifting away ...
Barely something could be felt - it was strange - as if it wasn't her own body that felt it . Warmth , light , feathers - Her own soul and aura were so weak she had failed for minutes now to notice anything else - it was ironic how she clung so tight to that small glimmer of her spirit when all she had wanted was to end as a mortal .
She was unresponsive - aware - but unresponsive . The part of her that was still conscious , still strong , blocked off Kayle's blessing for most of it - she could die here ... Did she want to ? Had she called upon her sister to save her , or to bid farewell ? Perhaps it was finally her time ?
❝ Kayle … ❞ . A soft mutter from a distance. Part of her knew that Kayle was nowhere to be seen, she had not been for so long- there had not been a hint of her in ages. But part of her wanted to believe that her sister was still there, maybe it was the illusion of a bleeding aspect, perhaps only the memories of a time when they could rely on each other- the days where her sister had come to her rescue when a beast had almost taken her life. Just like then she knew what was coming. She'd die.
There is not a mortal alive who knows her name. Not a single one who would utter it with so much hope- So much familiarity. For the first time in centuries she lets her gilded spirit touch her once mortal body and takes her first breath. Virtue gleams eternal in her raised hand, glowing vibrantly as she brings it down. Ripping open a celestial portal in which she steps through. Her wings spread, blocking out of the sun as she catches sight of her sister. Bleeding and wounded.
β€œMorgana.”
Kayle kneels wings folding around them as she pulls the other into her embrace. A blessing curls around them both, warmth, comfort, fond memories.

Syndra seemed pleased that Morgana allowed the affection, resting her chin on the other's shoulder. "Hello, darling." She responded, intertwining her fingers with Morgana's. "You seem stressed. Something wrong?"

❝ I’ve been having nightmares about Demacia , is all . I don’t take very kindly to sleep these days - It’s ironic how little control I have over my own dreams with all this power that has been given to me . ❞ Her hands were slightly shaky - she hadn’t been getting proper sleep for a while . Even as an aspect , her body still remained somewhat human .

❝ Lady Janna ? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with her . I hope I can meet her soon to properly greet her . ❞
She continued to carefully bring the fork filled with a piece of waffle , now covered on syrup and whipped cream , to her mouth . The pleasure of eating was something she enjoyed quite a bit - not only for the obvious such as the very pleasant taste , but because it made her feel slightly more human - it made her feel less of a celestial entity , closer to those around her . She took her time with each bite , savoring each flavor .
❝ It's delicious . ❞ She said once she gulped down the food . It did seem to put her in a better mood . ❝ I would love some more , if it is not much of an issue . ❞ Her focus shifted to Orianna once again as she spoke with the robot - a part of her own soul - yet an entirely different entity , it appeared . It was interesting .
❝ Please express my gratitude to the little one , I am very much enjoying this meal . It- It's fascinating . ❞
β€œI do say,” she answers, not realizing that it was at all odd. It just was. The third plate is left empty as she is served one small waffle with plenty of whipped cream - she seems entirely ambivalent to it, save for the slightest crinkle of her eyes. As if she were rememberingΒ a good memory rather than experiencing it herself.
β€œMiss Morgana. Myself. Lady Janna.” She points to each plate in turn to explain who its for, then keeps an eye on Morgana’s expression. She seemed to… enjoy it? Did she?Β
β€œYou should also try the whipped cream and syrup. Would you like more? I think Waffle Bot would love to-” A pause, as said robot beeps and suggests its own word, to which she nods and repeats.Β β€œ-love toΒ β€˜dote’ upon you.”

It was mesmerizing . She could see it all , clear as day . The fragments of her soul dividing to insert themselves on objects - to control them . She asked for permission , she treated the robots as different entities - she shouldn't have to if she had control over their souls . It should be innate ... Was this some sort of Zaun magic ? She was not aware the area was familiar with it .
It took her a bit to respond , she had been busy lookingat every fragment of Orianna's soul scattered around . She snapped back into reality after a couple of seconds though - ❝ Morgana - ❞ She replied quickly , unsure if she was doing it correctly .
She quickly stepped not to inspect the room per se , but the robots whose souls were shared . The small ones scattering around , the big ones cleaning . It was an odd sight - one she had not seen before .
β€œβ€¦Your words are kind.” Her hand presses up to the door as her soul flows into the building and it all comes alive. Like someone turned the power on, the entire building thrumsΒ with many chittering souls and the door clicks open just after.
β€œI need a portal, please.” The souls in the walls shift as Ori steps aside, granting Morgana entrance. There are tables stacked with metal pieces and unfinished contraptions in her second floor apartment, along with a few other rooms. What falls into her hand from the ceiling is a simple sphere on a locket, glowing faintly.
β€œMiss Morgana, this is your key. It will unlock the door for you when you say your name. Journey, please accept my new guest. Guest, state your name.” Orianna holds the little orb to Morgana, waiting patiently. Once it’s done, she steps aside completely to give Morgana room to explore the house - and the empty room at the end, in the middle of being cleaned up by a small army of robot helpers.

❝ There is everything to see . Have I not been describing it so far ? It is a beautiful soul , but I am aware speaking freely of it is highly personal and invasive - So I will cease if you wish me to . ❞
She walked up the stairs as she was prompted to , right behind Orianna . Of course she was intrigued about the other's soul , but also deeply concerned with what she has seen . It was not a lie though , she considered the other's soul as beautiful - if only she could show her . She offered a warm smile as a response , she did not mind the imperfections - in her eyes , that was the most beautiful thing one could wear .
β€œβ€¦You can see my soul?”
CRACKED, BROKEN, SHATTERED, A THOUSAND ROTTEN PIECES OF HER, HER, HER, I WON’T BECOME THAT THING, WHY IS THAT INSIDE OF ME.
β€œOh. Thank you for being honest. I do not think there is much to see.” After all, she’s already died. WhateverΒ β€˜soul’ is left, it isn’t hers. Nothing here belongs to her. Selfpreservationistheinstinctof-Β She squeezes the Ball a little tighter.
β€œWe are here,” she announces, pointing up past the side of her shop to a staircase that leads to a blank door with no handle. Who do you think you are, trying to have nice things? Orianna turns with a practiced, mechanical smile.Β β€œI hope you will not mind the mess much.”

❝ Are they not a beautiful topic ? A person's soul - such an abstract yet so very clear part of them . It is something that shines through without the need to consider appereances - Something so innate to us that only others can see . I can see your soul , Orianna - sometimes we need reminders of what it looks like . I hope I am not bothering you with it - it's a habit of sorts . ❞
She followed the other's path swiftly , tugging on her own cloak and looking back a bit to ensure that her wings were still hidden from sight .
β€œI would as well.” Her expression cools, as does her voice, as she leans back and away.
β€œYou seem very interested in souls, Miss Morgana. It is rare word choice. You have complimented my soul twice in as many minutes.” She points to a side path as she navigates, petting the Ball with her other hand. Truthfully, the soul conversation was not appealing. Not to a weapon like her.

❝ ... I would like to say so . ❞
Her comment was vague like that - it is fine to believe in other people , to trust them with parts of yourself . But that also gives birth to the possibility of betrayal , a feeling she is all too familiar with . The sudden touch on her head was foreign , unexpected - she had Orianna's soul on sight , but she could not accurately figure her out . ❝ A kind soul you are , for sure . I am glad I stumbled upon you , Orianna . ❞
β€œBecause you do not want to hurt me. That is a good enough reason for me.” Her eyelids droop a bit as her lips twitch and she places one hand atop Morgana’s head.
β€œIsn’t it fine to believe in other people, Miss Morgana?”
