The longest wait.

So, in the last month, I've applied for a Head of Psychology job at a school that I enquired about starting the subject in Jan 2020. They finally advertised this month, and I applied immediately, then waited 2 weeks for the vacancy to close, then another week to be invited to interview and a whole two days to be called on a Sunday evening and offered the job. It hasn't quite sunk in but wow, that was a stressful month of waiting and psyching my self in and out of the job.

From September, I will be starting a new department in an Independent School, where I'll teach A level and IB Psychology to students who pay nearly as much to attend the school in one year, as I get paid.

I'm not looking forward to telling Year 12 students, but know that they will move on and adapt.

My psychology exam is in two hours and I am PANICKING. I’m just going to focus on the important stuff though...

Social cognitive theory- Bandura, Ross, and Ross (1961) and Konijn (2007)

Brain Localization- Maguire et al. (2000)

Flashbulb memory theory- Brown and Kulik (1977)

Schema Theory- Bartlett (1932), Loftus and Palmer (1974)

Culture and cultural norms- Petrova et al. (2007)

01/05/2017 Productive procrastination, aka when you're doing work that you don't have to do but want to do because the stuff you have to do you don't want to do, but you don't want to be doing nothing. Hence why I'm doing psychology notes from the textbook instead of my English PowerPoint. Rip.

Took my biology exam Monday and haven’t gotten my results back yet. Currently studying hard for my psychology paper 1 mock exam tomorrow at 2. Never been more scared in my life.
