Chapter 4, AB Union: A Girls Only Gathering Part 2

[Part 1] 

t/n this has to be my favourite part of the chap, everyone talking about the boys and their boyfriend potentialness lol ahhh <3 p.s sorry if this a little short of a part!

The girls conversation felt like it hit a dead end when Hagakure suddenly had an idea to propose.

“Alright so!, what about something wild?”

“Wild?” Tsuyu was puzzled at the sudden proposal, Yanagi also who had her head slightly tilted to the side.

“Wait, that’s a little…”

“What do you mean by wild you ask? Well, for example in both Class A and B who would you have as your boyfriend… something like that.” Hagakure went on to explain, as Ashido just nodded in agreement whilst snacking on her food.

“But how do we choose a person?”

“Even though this is a girls gathering, we still need to have some pointless, idle talks right, this could also help our communication skills!”

Yaoyorozu was uncertain by what what Ashido had just said, however Kendou who was sat beside her just smiled, Yaoyorozu could already get the gist of the situation and decided to just play along.

“Alright, I guess this contributes to experience.”

“Okat lets start! If you had to choose someone to have as a boyfriend who would you pick?”

“Boyfriend?” The girls were in deep thought whilst Ochako was beet-red in the face, however as everyone was left to think of a guy, no one could up with a person.

“Everyone looks so serious.” Ashido pursed her lips, if you was to compare this to shopping, it felt like even if were to exclude the necessities, there wasn’t anything they wanted. (?)

“Ah, it looks like no one is able to get into the swing of things.” said Kendou who felt like this was about to reach a dead end whilst Yaoyorozu nodded in agreement.

“We’re all classmates, with the same ambitions to become a hero, they’re also our rivals.”

“Yeah, that’s right, there isn’t a guy we’d want as our boyfriend.”

“If you said it like that our gathering will be finished Kyouka chan.”

“….ah” Just at the same time it seemed like Yaoyorozu had remembered something.

“What is it Yaomomo? Is there a person you’d like as a boyfriend?!” Ashido was brimming with expectations as she scoots in closer.

“Not me, I meant Kyouka san.”

Kyouka was caught off guard by the sudden mention, Yaoyorozu who was sat next to her was filled with excitement at the love story that was about to unravel.

“Kyouka san seems really close with Kaminari san, if I can recall, they often talk to eachother too… How about Kaminari san?”

“Wai- Stop that! Anyways, he’s just an easy person to talk with, he’s fun and we just play around alot.”

The conversation was taking a steer towards Kyouka’s direction as she grew obviously embarassed, Tsuyu placed a finger on the bottom of her mouth as she gave the situation some thought.

“Is that right? If you went out with Kaminari san, it seems like he’ll be devoted and filled with surprises.”

“Eh? Tsuyu chan, is Kaminari kun the type you like?”

“No it’s not like that, it’s only because Kaminari likes girls alot, isn’t that right?”

Kyouka was embarrassed by Tsuyu mentioning Kaminari’s love for girls while the rest of the girls tried to think like guys but they were just left blank with nothing to say.

.... atleast he’s  better than Mineta.

“mhm” Koudai gave one clap in agreement as she nodded her head, everyone exchanged looks with eachother while waiting for the next person to start.

It felt like they were taking on the roles of common villains banding together.

“Compared to Mineta, anyone is better.” said Kendou as Ashido nodded in agreement as she wiped away happy tears.

“Is there a person like Mineta in B?”

“Nope, nope, our guys are pretty hard-headed, ah, actually we do have a Monoma though.” said Kendou as she looked like she was recalling some memories whilst fiddling her fingers.

Monoma is the person who opposes whatever A does, his soul is a little.. yeah he’s that kind of pupil.

“Monoma huh?”

“Yep.”

“Monoma..ha…”

Koudai just nods in agreement to whatever Yanagi was saying but it seems though Monoma was a bit strange, he was still accepted amongst them.

“He does have a pretty good looking face, but it’s a shame his insides are a bit!” said Hagakure.

“But if we’re talking pretty  boys, isn’t it Todoroki?” Ashido mentions.

“Oh yeah..” It looks like everyone just remembered his existence, he was a pretty boy who had this impression where he’d seemed like he’d only do things at his own pace.

It seems like everyone didn’t have anything to fault Todoroki on as a boyfriend, however..

“Ahhh isn’t he’s Endeavours….?!!” Kendou exclaimed.

And within that moment everyone had the sudden image of Todoroki’s dad flash in their head, it’ll be really hard to have any sort of confidence to try and get along with someone like that.

“Nope, nope…”

“I agree, he’d be really strict with his son’s girlfriend.”

The A girls were imagining how intimidating he would have been, however Shiozaki motionlessly shuts her eyes and then opens them again before trying to explain her stance on Endeavour.

“That angry temperamental side of him, it’s probably from having his heart hurt, I would want to give him healing.”

“Ibaraki!” Don’t tell me! You… Endeavour?!”

A Schoolmates dad? He’s the number 2 hero too, isn’t that kinda immoral?! Kendou and the girls were shocked, but Shiozaki just calmly shooked her head.

“All living things are entitled to love, I just want to give his soul healing, by no means does it mean romance and also, I don’t have a type.”

“Phew, I see, you gave us quite a shock.”

“Yep.” Yanagi and Koudai mentions in a monotonous tone.

“Shiozaki seems like a very serious person doesn’t she?”

“If we’re going to talk about serious, it’s definitely Iida chan.”

“Ahhh! A’s class president.”

“You’ll never be able to play around with Iida but i’m sure if you were to date him, he’ll try to change his seriousness.” said Yaoyorozu as everyone tried to imagine what it’d be like to date Iida.

The serious Iida, he will always be on time for dates, however, the rest is sort of hard to imagine.

“But to be able to hold hands with Iida, how many years will that take to happen?”

“What if he’ll only hold hands after marriage?”

“Haha, isn’t that too much?” Kendou just laughs at the A girls jokes.

Suddenly the A girls got serious and slightly had their heads tilted.

“If it’s Iida, I don’t think it’s possible.”

“Seriously?”

“Because he’s an overly hyper serious person.”

Everyone wasn’t a fan of that kind of trait, they girls could just imagine him trying to do laundry.

“Okat, how about Midoriya?!”

“Huh?!”

Ochako was taken back by the sudden mention of Midoriya by Ashido, she tries to suppress her frantic beating heart, she was getting tired of this feeling.

“That kid, right now… I’m kinda unsure.”

“Who? Midoriya?”

“If I can recall, didn’t he have those crazy field tactics where he used the buried landmines during the sports festival, he fought ruthlessly but when I see him at school, in the corridors or the cafeteria, his image… it’s a little different.” said Kendou

Ochako seemed like she had something to say as she was about to open her mouth but the various feelings in side of her were all over the place, all she could do was silently disagree.

“I see, I think Midoriya chan is a very hardworking person, everyday he does his best for the purpose of becoming a hero.” said Tsuyu as she turns to the side, Ochako nods her head in mutual agreement.

“…. When I see Deku kun, he makes me want to do better.”

Kendou smiles as she manages to locks eyes with the Ochako who was trying her best to talk even though her heart was frantically racing.

“I see, to have someone who makes you feel like that, it’s great.”

Ochako smiles knowing that, even though it was just a bit she was able to tell them about how great Izuku was.

Suddenly Ashido remembers something in addition to Midoriya.

“Isn’t he kinda an All might Otaku?”

“What if on a date with his girlfriend, he takes her to an All Might hand shaking event, he’s going to bring All Might?” Hagakure and Yaoyorozu carried on.

“I can imagine that.”

“Eh, but doesn’t he see him at school already?”

Even if All Might was already a teacher at Yuuei, Ashido and Yanagi agreed Midoriya would probably still visit an All Might hand shaking event.

“Well, that’s the kind of guy Midoriya is.”

“I mean, on a date with his girlfriend, he really seems like the type of person to take her to an All Might hand shaking event.”

“Well, that’s probably true.”

Ochako could also imagine that being the case as Hagakure spoke.

“Probably not good to have him as a boyfriend.”

“Yep.” Yanagi nods along with Koudai and just like that Midoriya was crossed off the list of boyfriend potentials.

Ochako was slightly blushing, as she gritted her teeth as a slight bitter expression covered her face.

“Alright, what about Bakugou?”

“Never.”

This time Kyouka was the one doing the crossing off the list.

“He’s definitely a high achiever, and his future seems promising… but with that attitude?! Never!”

Continuing on from Bakugou, the girls sieved through the list of boys, but they were extremely strict in judgement, their bubble of expectations began to pop one by one.

“What is this? if this carries on the only thing we’ll be getting butterflies over is going to be the supplementary lessons.. uuuh, I just want to experience something warm and fuzzy inside!”

The Yamaniwa Clan

The Yamaniwa clan is a well-known hero family that is matriarchal in leadership. The family is currently headed by Kiku Yamaniwa, or Mother Spring as she was known during her hero career.

History

The clan are descendants of the legendary hero Mother Nature, who is the regarded as the first Yamaniwa hero. Their origin is the Ibaraki Prefecture and where the clan compound is. And because of how well-known they are, the clan has been able to acquire mass wealth that they pour into environmental and humanitarian efforts.

Because of their rise into the world of hero families, guidelines for the members were put in place and all future generations would be raised by those guidelines.

All members of the family have plant based Quirks, the dominant one being Mother Earth. Most of the members of the family are women, but there are a few male members outside of the ones that married into the family.

Members

There are several known members of the family including:

Mother Nature: The founder and original matriarch of the clan. She is whom all Yamaniwas and the Quirk Mother Earth are descended from. Though it has been generations since she's passed, she is highly respected by the family as they continue her heroic legacy.

Kiku Yamaniwa/Mother Spring: The current matriarch of the family and the grandmother of several of younger members. She rules the family with an iron but just fist.

Ran Yamaniwa/Terra Flora: One of the daughters of Kiku Yamaniwa and the mother of Persephone, Gardenia, Scarlet Sage, Aoi, Hanabi, and Sayuri via her husband Mariano.

Sakura Ankokugai (nee Yamaniwa)/Persephone: The eldest daughter of Ran and Mariano and the mother of Kurohana. She is a Pro Hero and the first to be based outside of Ibaraki. While she may be a Kurakimichi by marriage, she is still a Yamaniwa at heart.

Hanako Yamaniwa/Gardenia: The second eldest daughter. She is currently one of U.A.'s security guards. She was offered the job as she was told she could get her foot in the door as a hero.

Sarubia Yamaniwa/Scarlet Sage: The third eldest daughter. She is currently running the family agency in Ibaraki. She is more traditional of the elder sisters and she values the importance of maintaining connection with family.

Aoi, Hanabi, & Sayuri Yamaniwa: The younger daughters and the heroes in training. All of them are in different years with Aoi being in her sophomore year of college, Hanabi being a junior, and Sayuri a freshman.

Rin Daichiou/Flora Terror: She is the daughter of Kiku's second daughter Anzu and Shinsuke Daichiou, thus making her a Yamaniwa in blood.

Ibara Shiozaki: Another who has Yamaniwa blood. She is the daughter of Kiku's third daughter Yuri and her foreign wife Nzinga.

Kurohana, Sakura's daughter, is also considered a Yamaniwa due to her mother.

Trivia

Yamaniwa, the family surname, means mountain garden.

All of the members are either named after flowers or have floral themes to their names. This also applies to their hero names.

Persephone is the only one of the new age members that has taken her partner's surname.

All of the members have Seiai College as their alma mater.

Chapter 4, AB Union: A Girls Only Gathering, Final Part.

t/n finish! this was cute, minor kacchako, more kamijirou! in regards to next translation I was planning on doing the boys arm wrestling thing, but apparently i’ve seen ppl say its being translated? if so, I’d leave that and do the last chapter of the l/n! once again thank you for reading! ^_^

Ashido hung her head in disappointment, like a traveller lost in the desert, she just wanted to wither away. Hagakure sighs in dismal, when suddenly she regains her cheerfulness.

“How about we try reversing our thinking for a bit? Like if we were guys, and the guys were girls who would we have as a girlfriend?”

“The look in your eyes just changed!”

“Umm” It was kind of weird for the girls to try imagining the guys as girls, their muscular structure and then long hair draped on their head, that was just something too hard to think of.

“Isn’t this kinda..”

“Firstly, isn’t it exciting? looking for a girlfriend...”

“That’s right!” Hagakure shyly laughs, however Yanagi who was sat next to Kendou breaks breaks away a little as she looked at her.

“But, if Itsuka was a guy, she’ll be the most popular amongst girls.”

“Huh? me?” Kendou’s eyes rounded in surprise, as Koudai who was sat next to Yanagi agreed to it also. 

“In B, the coolest person is Itsuka.”

“Certainly, Kendou san can snap the class back into shape with one word, she’s fair to everyone, strict but still very kind hearted... there isn’t anything she can’t do.”

Agreeing to what Shiozaki had just said, Yaoyorozu adds.

“During our time at our work placement, I followed your lead, if we weren’t together, I would have probably fallen.”

During the time of their work placement, Yaoyorozu and Kendou were placed together at Snake Hero Uwabami’s place for work experience, but during that time they just modelled for a commercial, Yaoyorozu felt like it wasn’t a great thing to do.

“I felt the same way during that time, or should I say stop this isn’t this tv (t/n probably some inside joke from their work placement, I’m so ??? lol I could be completely wrong though)

Kendou was embarrassed at everyone intently watching her.

“You’re very reliable, for example earlier when you launched Mineta away.”

“That’s right.” Tsuyu and Ochako nodded in agreement.

“If I was a guy and a pervert said something weird “what you doing to my woman!” ... I’d probably say something like that.” chimed Ashido.

The boy version of Kendou would have exterminated the pervert during that situation they thought, because they knew what it felt like to be a girl, during the times when need be they share the same ideals as guys who’d want to protect their girls.

“...say, only when us girls are together we become exciting, actually no.. everyone is fun in their own way.” Ashido replied to herself as Kendou smiles.

“What we see of romance is different from eachother, if we were to look at this from a side kicks pov, it’d be unexpected for us to want to feel all soft and mushy inside.”

“side kick huh..”

“Other wise, one day we’d be replaced or something right?”

Everyone had agreed to what Kendou had said, when the images of the boys face suddenly appeared in Ochako’s head.

“If this is what we’re talking about, I’d want to be Bakugou.”

“Eh? Really?!” Kyouka was shocked at the unexpected name to have come from Ochako, as she chuffed up a small embarrassed laugh.

“Yeah, during our fight at the sports festival, I was left completely defeated, but at that time I thought he was really strong, just once I’d like to experience what it’s like to have that strength!”

“Certainly Bakugou san is strong, he also has good sense during fights.”

“That’s why, if I could become Bakugou, just once, I’d like to be able to fight in a battle using all my power.” Ochako pumps her fists in the air.

“I get it” Ashido nods and continues...

“So if we’re going down this route, I’d want to be Sero! I want to try shooting out tape like shururu- I’m bored of always shooting acid, how about Yaomomo?”

“Since the topic has been brought up, for me I’d say Kouda san, he can control animals, I have a strong interest in that!”

“Mhm..” Koudai agreed, she would have wanted to switch places with Kouda if she could too.

Kyouka timidly opens her mouth as everyone watches her.

“For me, it’ll be Kaminari, after letting off a bunch of electrical discharge, I’d want to experience that wee phase he goes through, but once only, once would be enough.”

“For me it’ll probably be Tokoyami chan, having Dark Shadow chan cooperate with you during fights, I’d want to try that... also, having another living thing inside of you, I wonder what that would feel like.”

“For me I’d say Satou kun! I can eat loads of sweets and then have that convert into energy! You’d be able to eat alot, guilt free without getting fat!”

“Wait, but being invisible... we wouldn’t be able to tell you’d put on weight.”

“You will be able to tell! The clothes would have expanded!”

Kendou watched everyone get heated up about the discussion, she lets out a small breath and smiled.

“Without the mention of romance, it’s amazing how easy it is for us to start choosing boys.”

Rather than wanting to experience romance, they’d rather experience another person’s quirk.

“no good, we can’t even do love stories properly.” fussing, Ashido breaks away, the girls all looked eachother with a wry smile.

“For now, just do well on your supplementary lessons.”

“This is surely god’s message.”

“Stoppppp it!”

Kyouka and Shiozaki were teasing Ashido as she was kicking and fussing about on her futon.

“...But” Tsuyu continued. 

“We’re dropping the topic of romance? doesn’t that mean our mood would drop too? Surely if we wanted to talk about love isn’t it best to do it now? Wouldn’t we have alot of things to say?”

Everyone experiences love, during that moment, it would have happened but now they’d just wanted to be heroes, anyone would have been proud of that. Some day, in the future, they’d consider falling in love with love but until then they can only smile at the thought. 

“... But I still want to experience butterflies, even if it’s just a little that’s fine!”

Ashido dyed (?) the warm atmosphere with her thoughts on the soon to come supplementary lesson hell, right now she’d take any form of love, she’ll have to dampen her heart later on to endure the hell that is to come.

“Okay let’s do this quick! Let’s talk about our types?”

“Mina cha, what kind of person is your type?”

“Mhmm.. Firstly, they have to be strong, but once in a while they’d have to be quite childish too, that kind of person seems nice right? kind of a rascal I guess, and also they’d have to be nearby all the time.”

Everyone just nodded and agreed to what Ashido was saying, suddenly the A girls paused as they came up with an idea.

A strong person, be quite childlike... and is always with you.

“Doesn’t that sound like Dark Shadow chan?”

“...that!”

Tsuyu pointed it out as all the A girls agreed, they didn’t give Ashido the chance to refute.

“Dark Shadow, didn’t we talk about Tokoyami’s quirk earlier?” Kendou said as she looked at Ashido who had a hard time trying to get a word in.

“We did, but wait!... it’s not even a person!” Ashido pouts.

“But Dark Shadow chan is strong, today during lunch when we called for Tokoyami chan, he came out of the cave with Dark Shadow who only likes Darkness, that was really brave of it, Tokoyami must have a lot of hardship.”

“But in the light, it’s quite cute right? Aiyooo! it answers to you like that right?”

At that moment, Ochako remembers saying.

“That’s right, during the end of term practical test, even though he was paired up with Tsuyu chan, didn’t Tokoyami chan ask Dark Shadow chan what kind of quirk is this about Ectoplasm sensei’s quirk? It sulked when he said they were the same.”

“Cute!”

“Yep!”

Yanagi and Koudai tried to imagine the scenario in their head but to their demise it was to difficult to do so.

“Child like persona!” Hagakure continued.

“Isn’t that nice? Dark Shadow!” Kendou said honestly, as the other girls agreed, now they remember they don’t have to worry about thinking of a new guy.

“That’s impossible..” Ashido muttered, as the same time Kyouka opens her mouth.

“Because of the quirk you’ll always be together...”

“Nooo, if we were to always be together, it’ll only be in the darkness!” Ashido exclaimed back at Kyouka.

“Then wouldn’t that mean Tokoyami who has the Dark Shadow quirk, wouldn’t he be your type then?”

“This isn’t how this works!”

Hagakure was having a fun time teasing Ashido who was huffing and fussing about.

“You guys are really persistent with this! Okay next question! Out of all the pro heroes on active duty who would you marry?!”

“Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?”

It was obvious from their voices that they were beginning to enjoy their girls only get together, theres always this thing about juicy stories, that being blunt is always a working charm. And the things about love, before they even knew it their hearts were already content, and as it seemed like their conversations were about to come to an end, it was obvious that these girls were far from done.
