Opinion #3: "Progressive" Formats Lead to "Progressive" stories

I would like to begin this by saying I am not a hipster. That being said, a lot of contemporary (a synonym for "modern") stories literally brainwash primarily children into a mode of thinking. Now, when the nature of the story is TOLD through a new, and interesting format -*cough* computer *cough*, the story takes on the shape of the computer. I watched a video explaining this once, and they said that most hand-drawn animated stories told a tale of a change in the kingdom, and then a reversion to it's original state (conservatism), but a lot of modern animated stories tend to focus on progressive narratives.

I have this neighbor who has this garden and she's, um... she's got all these sections. She's got the carrots over here and the cabbages over there and she's got fruit trees in the back . And when it's all finished she's got something she can actually put in her mouth , you know, to keep her alive. It's something real, it's something raw, important. And um, I just the other day, I was- I was watching her and I was thinking, you know what? That's a real arist. Why doesn't someone like that have, you know, fans and shows and radio interviews.
