#Learnedalongtheway Fighting for myself is always in season. Someone was asking me about my health a few days ago and I've gotten so use to not saying anything but, "It is well. " that I totally missed the question. Well, it is well. I've been fighting for me. Don't start analyzing and assuming because you're going to be incorrect. No diabeties. No hyper-hypotension. No anything else you all have claimed and running around with 🤔 Marasmic kwashiorkor. Good luck pronouncing that. My system tried to get all fancy. I wasn't anymore unhealthy December 2018 than I am now. My body just decided to not want to process protein properly. As a result I have to command it to do so. That has resulted in a need to shop. #Learnedalongtheway Sometimes you have to put "you" behind "you" in order to win. I have spent the past 30 years of my life literally caring for, lifting up, encouraging, and carrying people to their next level. At times just to their next breath. People might say, "That's just part of being a mom or being a minister. " I beg to differ on that. I've been pouring life on some next level that I've given up trying to comprehend long ago. To the point that it's reflex. On automatic. For the last 2 1/2 years I've been in some major battles of my own. Lost my home, was separated from my daughters no longer able to be in the same house. Health doing its own thing and about to move yet again. Thankful to God that I haven't missed a beat walking out my calling. It's not about what's before me. It's what's in me. I've been looking at what the plan is for this 2020 and this is what I'm finding out. "ME ", you know, 'myself' , has zero problems fighting for others at all. I love love love holding people up and helping them do what they do. No regrets. I love and appreciate how God uses my availability to Him. The problem is, I tend to stand in my own way when it comes to my needs, support, and care. I've totally said before, "I'll get back to me. Let me do this for them first. " I'm not back to me yet. 30 years and not back. I'm getting back. #learnedalongtheway The sum total of a life isn't just the time spent on this Earth. It's the life they leave behind and the memories that have been formed in the hearts of those that have experienced them. What I want to be remembered for being an encourager that poured life into as many situations and people in those situations. I want to be remembered for loving God relentlessly and people to life where they are without the need to agree. I want to be remembered for being unapologetically me and doing no harm to you being you. What I will be remembered for? #Learnedalongtheway Despair is no respector of persons. When it comes it takes everything that you are. Anticipation of its arrive is difficult. However you don't really know despair until it reaches for you in your highest moment and rips your very being from you by surprise. #Learnedalongtheway One of the most key things when you're going into battle is knowing whose going to stand and withstand with you and for you. I witnessed this when my father was battling some addictions and cancer. His group of friends weren't going through any "noticeable" problems that were negatively impacting their lives or health. They weren't having the same struggle with addiction that had impacted my father's health. However those men stood by my father and stood with him to the very end. They went to his appointments, meetings, entertained him to keep him laughing, carried him, literary, when he wasn't able to hold himself up. They fought with him then for him everyday until he transitioned. I've always prayed that everyone I know has friends like that. They had evidence of wins in their own fights so they were able to stand with him in his fight. I will not and cannot take people into my fights that have no evidence of a win in their own fights. Some people like to dwell on the past while others stress about the future. I was a stressor and worrier about both. #1 The past can never be changed. Facts. Try it. You will not succeed. #2 Many things were beyond your control and you did what was required or had to do at the time. Nobody gets everything right. NOBODY. #3 You can't do anything in the future until it becomes the present. #4 You can't be so focused and worried about having a future that you neglect "LIFE " in the present.
