Geek Bar, Area 51, E-Device, and now iBreathe disposable pods. Nowadays it seems like people just can’t get enough of these new ‘innovative’ vape devices. Today, I will be answering all your disposable pod-related questions and finally answer the question Why are disposable Pods so popular?
A New Generation Of Vapers
This may come as a shock to some of you even though it is common knowledge that both millennials and Gen Z vape, but most of the vaping population is concentrated with millennials, those who have tried their luck with Smoking but come to realise it does more harm than good and so chose to vape as a healthier alternative.
However, in these past couple of months, we have seen an explosion of Gen Z Vapers in the UK, more than there were seen in the past 5 years. This new generation has found vaping through convenient and accessible arms of the disposable vape in the UK, similar to the Juul Epidemic in America last year.
Tumblr media
These young carefree vapers don’t care about how much the cost of these disposable vapes would rack up in the long term, they are just looking for a quick hit they can get whenever and wherever they want. They don’t want to get in the hassle of replacing coils, tanks, batteries; they don't have time for all that.
It’s the One Night Stand Of Vaping
It’s true, many of us have commitment problems, you wouldn’t want to bog down to just one vape device for the rest of your life. It’s a big and expensive decision. Nowadays you have a lot of things to consider when choosing a vape device.
Is it an MTL or DL device?
Mod or Pod?
What is the Tank and Battery Capacity?
What E-liquid options are available?
How much would maintenance cost?
It just seems like too much of a hassle to go through for a bit of fun, so people nowadays automatically opt-in for the cheap disposable vapes
Perfect For Beginners
Tumblr media
Meet John, He is 38 and recently quit smoking, he doesn't know much about vaping or how it works, he has a full-time job and mouths to feed and doesn’t want to waste his Saturday learning about every little detail about how coils work or which mix of e-liquid would be the best for him.
The modern vaper does not have time to weigh the pros and cons of every vape device all he needs right now is a healthier way of getting his daily dose of Nicotine. So what does John do?
That’s right John buys a disposable device, it seems familiar to his Cigarette, it is compact, it doesn't have batteries, he can use it when he wants then throw it away, and it’s healthy. Or is it?
Are Disposable Vapes Safe?
Tumblr media
With such increasing popularity, these new pods are bound to have some talk going amongst the population. You must have heard from a friend or your local vape shop owner who just ran out of stock of the Geek Bar, that these disposable devices aren’t safe. That they can explode in your face. Let me be really clear here. NO, THEY WILL NOT EXPLODE IN YOUR FACE IF YOU USE THEM PROPERLY.
Notice how I said if you use it properly, obviously if someone is dumb enough to expose the battery and then use a pin to poke holes in it, then this kind of electronic cigarette or any electronic device isn't for you my friend. Maybe you just stick to the books.
The Take-Away
In conclusion, disposable vape pods have officially become a trend, there is no telling at this point where it could go, it is abundantly clear that it is more popular with the youth as it is easily accessible, perfect for beginners, and available in many flavours. And that these devices should be safe as long as you have not disposed of your brain.

I looked at the holorecorder, active and recording, and sighed. "I wanted to say something, before everything goes to hell, more than it already is." I look down at my hands, and at my open uniform. "This. This will be my only record. The only announcement that I ever existed. No journals, no memorials, no diaries, no statues, nothing. Just letters. Messages to those who should know.
"And here I am, not knowing how to go, except from the beginning." I took a deep breath, vaguely noting how unsteady it was, and began.
"Thousands of years ago, The Jedi began to forget. Lessons learned about how the universe worked, about how interconnected everything is, how Darkness was a part of who you were and are... they forgot. Some remembered, some forgot, and each began to believe in the purity of their beliefs, until it caused a Schism. A breaking apart - inspired at least partly by the Rakatan Eternal Empire, darksiders and vicious about it, infighting, torture, slavery, cynical views that required conquest without allowing for peaceful coexistence, all on a platform of technology so advanced that barely anyone knew what to do about it, barely anyone could fight back - or believed they could. What does a slugthrower do against blasters that can rip right through their best armors, spaceships going faster than light, swords made not of metal but *fire*?
"they forgot. They forgot that the Force goes through everything, that *anything* can be lethal, that all it takes to stand against tyranny is hope and courage... and so they died, beating back this evil empire.
And this is where the fanatacism I mentoined came into play. Those who focused on the darkness within our hearts identified those technologies as being part and parcel to that darkness, and saw the future, while those aligned with the light only saw the evils those technoologies allowed to exist and decried them.
"So they fought, came away bloodiedc but alive, neither side willing to back down on their beliefs and all but rabid about it, and the darksiders were driven off and became so absorbed in their exploration of Darkness that they turned to nihilism - a belief that nothing matters, so why not just work for themselves?
"Along the way, they found a species known as the Sith, largely Force-blind but teeming with the same cultural darkness those exiled identified with and the Rakata lived and breathed, while those aligned with the Light stayed mired in their piousness and their lesser technologies.
"They forgot so much *more* than that, though." Ibreathed this out, and stuffed back a sob. "Guess that's why we're so focused on the past, the Company, and on remembering that past. Because we know that we can forget. Or worse, misremember.
"Those that say that history is written by the victors? They're partly right. Only partly. It's written by the *survivors*, and survivors don't always know the full story, or want to remember the full story, or tell it all or will deliberately tell it wrong. Already in our time, people are doing the same to the Jedi - who we always thought of as pompous assses, but acknowledged as forces for stability and peace, and with that peace, happiness and the continuance of Life.
"Ths Sith, so long ago? They lived, they conquered, they were killed off for being evil, and then told their children they lived in squalor that those same pompous asses wanted them genocided while they only wanted *peace*!" I spat that phrase out, took a moment to breathe heavily, because f**k, this is not a good day for this, having just lost someone I loved because she wanted me to be a proper Sith to better hide within the Galactic WEmpire, and an inescapable invitatoin to an Empire Day Ball looming within a few days.
The prospect of spending my birthday in a mass grave has never been more *bitter*.
"And so they crafted a plan. Turn the treatment on its head, massacre the Jedi and Republic that wanted them dead, make them do it to themselves, even if it takes *Five Fucking THOUSAND YEARS!!*"
I let my head droop, because I need a moment. Let the rage and the grief flow, but do not let them control you for they will burn out fast enough soon. A happy consequence of flashpan emotoins.
I continue quietly, because I do not need someone to come investigating why I'm shouting in the middle of a military ship. "You heard me right. Five thousand years, maybe more or maybe less, just for revenge."
I'm silent for a moment once more. I'd like to say it's part of a grand scheme to manipulate people into thinking about my words, but honestly I just don't have the strength to go on, even as I consider what to say next. If you could call the emptiness of my head "considering".
"I knew. From the moment I was born, I knew. It wasn't something I saw in a dream, like others seeing the Mandalorian-Republic War four thousand years ago, or a prescient cyclle of any sort or a true seeing, like we've seen so often of late, before I grounded the ship.
"It-" I snap my head up in a panic as Vader's Force Presence filtered in, right outside my door, and I snap to pause the recording, scrabbling for a distraction as if I hadn't been doing anything so seditious.
I hadn't found one by the time he came in, but he didn't make any demands or orders, simply stared at me stiffly, though I could feel his rage and curiosity like a buoy on the ocean. he wasn't still out of Force Coercion or anything... but outside of that, I couldn't comprehend why he wouldn't f'king *do* anything.
I glanced at the recorder, then the open door, then him, indecisive, before offering a telepathic request, more a concept of not speaking laced with command and appeal more or less equally.
He nodded, crossed his arms, and stood out of the way of the door. I telekinetically poked it shut before uncertainly turning back to the recorder, hoping this was the right decision.
God would not tell me what to do, expecting me to have learnt to decide for myself. I would not hear the Force, not with my emotoins tangling my thoughts so much I must look like a tree root system around an atomic bomb. And I had not the slightest idea if Vader should hear this or not, even as demanding he leave would be a terrible mistake.
But deep down I knew. This could not be put off, else I would forget, and no one would ever know. Would ever understand.
Hesitantly, I pushed the button. "Five thousand years for revenge. I knew that. The Clone Wars? The Battle of Theeds? The fucking Empire? I knew it would happen. It wasn't Prescience, divination, whatever you want to call predicting the future.
"It was memory of a story. A hero's journey, beginning on tattooine, and ending in millions of deaths to prevent the loss of innocent trillions." I paused, scrabbling for my little vapor machine, my terrible indulgence of a tabacc habit, and pulled deeply because a stimulant to regulate my mind and emotoins was better than letting the chemical vat that was my mind right now explode.
Tiny puffs of mildly toxic clouds appeared as I continued, after a long moment just keeping it in my lungs. "Did I ever tell anyone? No. What use would it have been? I was *ten*. I was *fifve*. Who would've believed a Five year old if they said a war was coming to genocide the Jedi, manipulated from the beginning by the Sith, started by destabilizing the galaxy on a thousand--year time span? And if I spoke up at all? I would've been disappeared, dead at *best*. Tortured into submission and being a Sith Adept or Apprentice to replace Darth Maul and Dooku and even Vader at worst.
"But why do you care? It's just one life, right?"
I sighed, deeply. "Two people had memories of this story. Myself... and *Proxima*. Roxxanne Croft. By now, you would remember those names, respected people, lost to the Empire, and wonder why? If she knew, why didn't she ever do anything?
"Imagine instead that you have a turbolaser canon. It can destroy any threat in a single blast, so long as you hit the target. But your target is invisible. Do you fire? Do you hope you'll hit the enemy? Or do you recognize that without a valid set of locatsions, you'll only cause needless destruction?
"Roxxanne chose the latter. She was only one person, in the end, no matter her insanity or power. She could only cover a single planet. And she faced a similiar dilemma, if in different... wording or however you put it. Kill anything? Sure. But what do you kill - and is it even the srouce of the problem, rather than just another symptom?
"Neither of us knew what timeline we were working with. When it would all kick off, or any of the contributory stuff either. So we lived our lives like normal people, and idly watched for the beginning of the end. Knowing that once it started, that would define our lives for fourty years or more, until it ended.
"Then Theeds happened, and Iwas right in the middle. Suddenly, we had the time. A decade until Geonosis and thus the Clone Wars, three ish years until the end of that insanity, and the beginning of the Galactic Sith Empire under Darth Sideous and the Galactic Civil War against the Rebel Alliance - something *else* orchestrated by the Sith, if less closely than the Clone Wars. that? He played both sides against each other with no one truly the wiser, paid for everything using his master's money under the name of Hugo Damask, whom respected Qui-Gon and was assassinated in his sleep just before figuring out immortality, or what he thought was immortality, because he hyperfocused on Midichlorians, too taken in by the lies fed to the Jedi about their importance when the Force is significantly more mystical than modern science or the last days of the Jedi would ever have believed.
"In the end, it did not matter. He did not appreciate all that he put into place, all that he was working with - and thus played himself into the grave, a massacre leading to a four year ish wait until the revenge of the innocent, and Sideous' destruction, and his Empire's collapse.
"But then you ask, what of the Company?" Ismirk humorlessly. "It never existed. Not in that story. After all, as arrogant as it sounds, I wasn't in it. Which means, neither was Roxxanne or Proxima, and thus there was no Company.
"When I was five, I woke everyone screaming." I huffed a laugh, empty and without humor at my non-sequitur and the memory, tears gathering in my eyes. "For weeks on end, screaming and bad singing of depressing songs. Or happy songs made depressing by the emotoins in my voice and heart. What was that? Why did it matter?
"Because for weeks on end, and intermittently afterwards, I dreamed of the Company, and I dreamed of my plans. I dreamed of it all in vivid detail like Anakin Skywalker seeing his mother.
"And just as he had to watch his mother die twice, once in a dream and once in his arms, I had to watch, over and over and over and fucking *over again*, as the Company was torn apart by my indecision, my inaction or choice to take the fight immediately against the Empire, hiding in plain sight or in some remote corner of the galaxy, members of our family being turned into Inquisitors or Sith Adepts or what the fuck *else* and- and then-" I took a shuddering breath, uncaring of what I looked like, because the memory was too harsh to bear and needed *out*. "Then I was made captaijn, and it wasn't one or two or close friends Iknew, it was the entire company, fifteen thousand Force Sensitives that could've been Jedi Knights and Masters and members of their various corps... half dying, or dead, and the other half burning the galaxy to ash and cinder, just because Sideous wnated it, or they were lashing out at this Thing that hurt them, or a civil war where we weren't half dead but *were* hgalf turned and that was worse because it wasn't the horror of mass death no one could understand, it was brother against brother, sister tearing apart sister, those given in to cynicism and nihilism being beaten back by those they tore apart becuse they were suffering and the world needed to suffer with them and the entire place, cities like Coruscant and Taris, entire mountain ranges and forests and oceans... just... crumbling into dust, because we couldn't comprehend that this story had already played itself out. Time again in Jedi history. What we were living now could not be changed, not without inspiring far worse things than we had ever comprehended, simply because two people were too attatched to a lack of suffering in their lives, to the happiness of their family over said family's well-being."
My voice all but a despondent whisper. the grief that thought always caused crushing my heart. I closed my eyes, because to hurt another, even for their own good, always hurt myself as well. There was a numbness in my heart, and I felt cold and empty.
For a long timeless moment, there was nothing more.
Then I opened my eyes and gave another left-field statement. "A similar memory told me. The Mandalorians, when they do something truly wrong, truly upsetting, will choose to give up their names, perhaps choose exile, until the one they have wronged gives them back their anmes. In two different languages, I have agreed.
"I am Nanashi Noone.
"I have no name. I am no one. My family hates my guts, exiling me for consorting with the enemy.
"I could not find another way, so I stripped myself of everything but the clothes on my back, whatever equipment or materials I could carry, and a buried memory of happiness, to be forgotten whenver possible so that there would be no leads to tell the Emperor what riches could be found in materials and mininons."
I look down, pulling on my uniform coat after a moment. "I have lived, knowing what was coming for fifteen, eighteen years. there is another two decades to go, or close. All I can do, is keep you safe, and slowly suffer to make sure you never have to.
"I am not a martyr." I state this, looking right into the recorder lense. "I am not doing this for a cause or a religion or, or..."A final breath. "I just don't want to see those failed plans, played out in technicolor in dreams and spice-laden nightmares, become reality. And tomorrow, I will sing a sad, minor key rendition of Angel with a Shotgun. Because I don't care if Heavn wont' take me back, I dont' care if Ihave to give up everything. Icare that you are alive to find happiness. So live. And never doubt that the God of All Creation, who crafted the Force and all it touches, watches over you and loves you."
I shut doown the recording. There is nothing left in me today.
"Your tears have frozen to your cheeks."Vader points out calmly.
Well. Maybe there's one thing left of me today. I wipe them away and chuckle emptily. "Ice comes from grief, but at least it's not emptiness. That leads to Drain, which would act like a drug addiction that would never be filled. Even if I stripped the life force of this ship or entire planets like Darth Nihilus, nothing would fill that hole in my heart."

How to choose the right wattage for your E-Liquid
A common misconception, for a newcomer to the vape community, is that they can vape different liquid at the same wattage. Unfortunately, they are wrong, as eLiquids come in a range of viscosity, which depends on the Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerol (VG) ratio. An eLiquid high in VG ratio would be relatively thick compared to one that is high in PG. An eCigarette works by vaporising eLiquid, hence creating vapour. A viscous liquid would require more heat to vaporise. If you try to vape a much thicker liquid on low wattage, it is likely that you will be taking in mostly air, and sometimes even the liquid itself, rather than vapour.
Some basic rules to go by:
Tumblr media
If you take fast draws A high wattage will ensure the liquid vaporises at an adequate speed. By not increasing the wattage, you risk drawing just air, or possibly liquid, instead of vapour. If you take slow draws A lower wattage will be sufficient. However, if too low, you may draw mostly air. For more information about iBreathe or 70 vg 30 pg liquid just visit. Happy vaping!
