American Horror Story: Apocalypse - S08E01 REVIEW ♥️💀

Seeing as I'm so hyped for AHS and I have been Evan peters trash ever since Asylum, I've decided to start doing week by week reviews on the show lmao. (Basically what I liked/disliked about the whole thing ep and etc so....enjoy 😉)

.I didn't know what to think about this new season when I saw the trailer...so I didn't have that much high expectations ( cause I knew the last two episodes were most likely going to cover coven/haunted house characters anyway...so there was no reason for me to be hyped for the first episode lmao 🙄) so I didn't know what the rest of the show would entail...but boy was it good! ✊🏾✊🏾.

The end of the world storyline makes me so proud of Ryan because it had all the elements of making a great post apocalyptic movie 👏🏾 and I enjoyed it!

When he walked in he looked like a 'vampire pretty BOI' NGL 🤣. But how unnerved it got Cordelia Goode was reason enough for me to take interest in him 👏🏾👏🏾. He seems like the TOP DOG in all of this and had this very unnerving and a sinister evil presence about him (which ofc ain't good for the residents cause shit could get even worse 💀)but let's see what happens. Who knows? Maybe he won't end up a total asshole....but I ain't holding my breath.

Annyywaaaayy, I give this a 10/10 because the episode was actually good! I was entertained and I was at the edge of my seat and NEVER bored with what was going on. I'm so hyped for next week u don't understand! 🤣✌🏾.

TDB rewatch: Special Education

German title: Neue Welten, or New Worlds. Accurate, at least for Kurt’s situation- Translation-wise, they did a pretty good job with the adultery thing. I was impressed. Though calling it adultery, Artie, is a little....I.mean you’ve been together for how long?

Dalton is certainly a new world for Kurt. It’s different in more than one way: at McKinley, he was tormented because he was different, but appreciated as well, and for the same reason. Also, except for maybe Finn, nobody really expected him to be anything other than different, nobody expected him to conform. At Dalton, he is safe from bullying, welcomed, but expected to conform, to not stand out. It surely is something to get used to, and I think it would have been nice to see how he’d be doing if he stayed at Dalton a little longer.

My son, anyway, liked Dalton better. He said he’d rather be with the Warblers than the New Directions, for the following reasons: 

- they don’t have Will Schuester

- their choir room is much nicer

- they have a bird.

He’s right with all of that. Also, when Kurt started singing Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, my son shouted, That is not a Warblers’ song! That’s correct as well, and the first instance of Kurt making bad audition song decisions. I love Blaine’s little hand gesture, telling him to tone down the pathos. I know some find it condescending, but I think that although Blaine does not completely understand Kurt as at least at this point, conforming is more in Blaine’s comfort zone, he tries to help.

Rachel is overreacting when it comes to Finn & Santana, and she should be aware that Finn wasn’t cheating, and so cheating on him is not an appropriate response. But again, she’s letting her insecurities get the better of her.

I always forget this is the Sectionals episode. I like that Rachel doesn’t get a solo, though “Ken and Barbie” are sort of weak, but Santana’s Valerie is awesome (is it an accident that Rachel loses ‘her’ solo to the two girls she’s most insecure about when it comes to Finn?)

I like the instances of Hummelberry friendship this episode, particularly how she signs at him to smile. It’s adorable.
